What is your favorite color?
Blue

Who is your hero?
Secular? hmm, must think on that one
My first sporrts heroes would have been Lou Gehrig and Larry Czonka (even football fans that are under 35 will have to Google Czonka, probably..militaryt-wise, I had from about seven years old a fascination with World War I fighter (in those days sometimes called 'chaser') pilots

When did you first feel called to preach?
I've thought on it for many years, going back even before I got into the Truth..I had thought of going to an Assemblies of God Bible College.

How many brothers and sisters do you have?
Two sisters, both older than I, and a brother who was born and died a few weeks later, years before I was born

What is your middle name?
Anglin, my grandfather, if what I believe I was told is indeed correct, had a friend who had that name.. the family tree has a number of highy unusual names.

What did people call you when you were a child?
My sister(s) hel[fully called me 'carrottop' so I'd 'get used to' it: I had flaming orange hair as a child.

Do you have a favorite song?
None that I can recall off hand..could go into some favorites, but not one that immediately stands out beyond all otyers.

Favorite verse of scripture?
Romans 14:4

Favorite book of the Bible?
Jeremiah 35 would be my favorite chapter..as far as a book..probably 1 Corinthians

Favorite children's song?
Honestly, I gre up as far as reading, listening, and thinking, while most children are still allowed to be children..I learned to count playing cards against my very intelliigent sister, who was in college at the time, likewise my forst poetry was the bizarre 'Jabberwock' that I could quote parts) of at age 5, .. you get the picture...I don't know as I ever was a 'kid'

Thinking back..I can still sing a part of an old Christmas movie song about Mr. Winter, or somesuch.
:sing: Put one foot in front of the other..and soon you'll be walking 'cross the floorrrrr... put one foot in front of the other..and soon you'll be walkin' out the dporrrr  :sing:

Two more questions for you.

Do you know that once I started asking you questions everyone else got jealous of you?  How does it feel to have everyone jealous of you?

Isn't that because they were actually jealous of me because it was You asking the questions?

How does it feel to have everyone jealous of you?
Umm, unlikely! :)

Silly! You can't say "unlikely" when it's already HAPPENED!

He's the media.  He can say whatever he wants to say!  lol

iridiscente

:D Maybe, but that doesn't mean I have to agree and calmly sit back and accept it!
(praying for you btw.)

How many awards shaped like OK do you have?
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Newsman

Lady Melody,

   Of the state of Oklahoma-shaped plaques, I now have six.

John  :waving:

Do you have any shaped like other states?
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Newsman

I wish I did..that would be wayyy cool!

Those are first place or sweepstakes awards from the Associated Press..the bureau in Oklahoma is the only one I have ever entered anything in..I wrote a special story about a Korean MIA serviceman whose remians have been identified that I thought of entering in Indiana's contest..but I didn't make sure  it got on the right station so I could enter it (I can explain further, but It'll be a longer explanation) :)

Why dont you come to Florida and see if you can win one here?
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Newsman

   I don't know if I'll ever do another radio gig besides this one..I could work a LOT of other jobs and make WAY more than what I make here..but I would likely never again have the level of come-and-go freedom as i have here.

   I'm mulling ver a possible change in my #2 job. A friend sent me a job posting for a college slot in West Texas, but I didn't follow up on it.

   If I take another position, one like the one in west Texas sounds nearly ideal..perhaps I should have followed after it. Or, perhaps a spokesman for some agency or politico.

John  :waving::bustamove:

Newsman

I just looked at the college's site...they've already filled the position.

John  :waving::bustamove:

MelodyB

Well will you at least come to FL for a visit? I know a GREAT AYCE Seafood place! :fork:
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Newsman

I would like to come down and visit, indeed.

I'm thinking my next drive of some distance may be to West Texas for Labor Day, other than a posssible drive over north of Little Rock Arkansas later tis month.

My next long-term trip might be aorund/just after the holidays..I have a pair of holiday basketball tournaments the week between Christmas and New Year's ... I'm just not crazy about holiday tournaments, though the tournament folks treat me well.

John  :waving::bustamove:

Have you ever actually been to FL?
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Newsman

No, I haven't..I thik the closest I came was while I was still west of Asheville NC.

I was looking at upcoming SCA events, and their is one in Pensacola Fl in the next couple of weeks..however, it too long and far a trip for me to make, at the moment.

John  :waving::bustamove:

MelodyB

Pensacola? That is very close...not to mention Jo and Rissa live there.
