Hugs * my husband WHO ever he may be*  you will have to deal with me so there for you get MANY hugs and you better have an amazing pastor and a Good married friend to confide in or you may go CRAZY being married to me.

:smirk: Sure sounds inviting. Are statements like the one above made so the woman feels no guilt when she's done something she's not proud of ?

Hugs Mel and BSR.
Just so you know Mel, I'm kinda planning a trip to come and see you next summer.  I don't wanna fly, can't drive, but if there's another way to get to you, I will.  Even if it's paying to fly you here.  lol

MelodyB

Haha! That great! We need to plan it around a district Deaf confrence. *sigh* I REALLY need to get back on the wagon with that. Just cause Mom is gone doesnt mean that it is gone from me too. I have the resources, I lack the willpower. (I signed several things today actually ;)  )

*HUGS* Ashlee again

*HUGS* Tia...yes, next time, for sure, we will hang out more and get more than just a wave at church and 10 mins in the hotel hallway. ;) *HUGS* Tia again

I've gotten out of it as well.  Since I no longer go to that church, because of reasons I discussed with you and how worse they got, I have no reason to sign.  Not much signing to do at school for a 3 year old.  It gets boring sometimes.

Sis

Where do you live again, Ashlee?

Backseat Radio

I took a semester of asl in college and signing just isn't for me.  doing it at church definately wouldn't be an option.  kinda hard to play the piano and sign at the same time.  sometimes left to wonder if I'm even gonna be in church much longer.

*hugs melody and teacherofthelord*

Tricia Lea

night
hugs Tia and sis and the next poster

Backseat Radio

*hugs tricia*

ships the next poster hug to someone else who needs a hug

*hugs next taker*

try if you want to but I'm not gonna get back into doing any asl

*hugs the poison control lady who warned my mom that a particular plant she had would paralize my vocal chords*

*shutters at the thought that her early plant eating days could have cause her to have to use asl to communicate*

Ashlee

may I ask why not?
I know it's difficult. not the signing, the culture.  any other reason?
Maybe I'm too nosy, if you don't wanna tell me or want to pm me, it's ok.
Like i said, i work with the Deaf, so I'm nosy, blunt, stubborn and sarcastic.  rofl  People love me!

I just hate things that make me really get out of my comfort zone and express myself - especially if it involves the possibility of saying something that could be totally wrong and getting laughed at.  For this reason I refuse to do any foreign language too.

Also getting to the place that I detest having to deal with unfamiliar cultures and deaf culture would class in that category.  beginning to have some disdain for the spanish speaking culture too now that I work at Walmart and have to deal with them all the time.
