Hebrews 12:12-16 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you

I seem to think that dating is really different than things you do with your spouse.  I know my husband I just do ordinary things.  There is just a different level to it and we are simply comfortable just being together.  Sometimes its the simpliest things that we enjoy together. Seriously...a day of yard work and then grilling out....  Or just staying at home and relaxing.

Here's another idea for a fun thing to do with your spouse:
Ride a golf cart around the Indiana UPC Campgrounds in 40 something degree weather.  :great:

:biglaugh:

Actually, it really is lots of fun.
God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.

If you're looking for advice on what you can do on a date, I might be able to offer some advice.  When I was still single, I was somewhat known for my unusual and creative dating.  I never liked to get caught up in the usual dating activities.  I would take something that was "normal" and turn it into something unusual.

Here's one example:

This took a little bit of time to set up in advance, not too much time, but it did require some pre-date preparation.

The lunch date:  I took my girlfriend (at the time) on a lunch date.  This was an outdoor lunch on a warm summer day.  I had set up a table with chairs outside, had a basket of food (with the proper containers to keep the hot food hot and cold food cold), dinner ware (plates, forks, glasses, etc.), a flower arrangement in the middle of the table, nice table cloth, candles, a portable stereo with classical music playing.  I did everything I could to make the table arrangement and meal as close to what one would find in a nice restaurant as I could.  We even dressed up nice (semi-formal) for our date.  I had a friend help out by playing the part of our "waiter".  After I set everything up, he stayed with the outdoor table while I picked up my date.  When we arrived, he met us at the table, seated us, and served our food to us, just as if we were in a nice restaurant.

The unusual part is that all of this was set up on the grassy median strip of the main road going through town.  While we were having our nice "romantic" diner/lunch, there was traffic driving by at 30MPH on both sides of us.  I'm pretty sure that some of the drivers passing by probably thought we were part of some performing arts thing.  We had a lot of people honking and giving us the thumbs up sign.

This happened well over 20 years ago now, and I don't see that girl (woman) very often anymore.  The last time we were home to visit, we saw her and she mentioned that particular date.  All these years later, that single date still stands out in her mind as a fond memory.
Move along, nothing to see here.

Any pictures?  You can't do something like that and not get pictures.

Pictures were taken, but I don't know if I still have any.  With all of the moves I've made in the past 20+ years, some things have gotten lost or misplaced.  I'd have to dig through some old boxes to see if any pictures survived.
Move along, nothing to see here.

Hey! Wait a minute! You don't need a spouse along to have fun doing that! :hyper: All you need is a few really awesome friends. :)

I'd sure think so!!  I know if all my husband did was hug me over and over I'd get pretty annoyed and aggravated at him real quick!
Just you wait, I highly doubt you or he will be satisfied hugging over and over either

:hypocrite:  LOL LOL LOL
