God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.

MsJennJenn

No we just like to drive him crazy by calling him old lol

I meet my wife at church not doubt.  Our mother's played match maker.  four years to the day of our first date we got hitched.

The first time we met was at school.  I was 13 and she was 9 at the time.  Of course we didn't start dating until about 6 years later and didn't marry until 9 years later.

Interesting story.  I first talked to her, and her parents, at an open house at the school.  I don't remember the incident, but she does.  After talking with them for a while, I went on my way and didn't really even notice her through high school.  However, on the night of the open house, she told her mom that she was going to marry me.  He mom just blew it off as a school girl crush.  Through the years, she tried very hard to quietly get my attention -- not in an obvious or obnoxious way -- just in a subtle, quiet way.  When I was 19, she finally succeeded in getting me to notice her.  We soon started dating.  About two weeks after I proposed to her, her mom finally told me the story of how Arctic Rose knew, at age 9, that we were going to get married.
Move along, nothing to see here.

The FIRST time we "met", I was around 16 or so, he was 17 - just finishing high school, before he moved to the US for 5 years for college... I didn't really talk with him that much, but he shared a room at camp with my brother and a couple of other guys. My brother and him got along really well and started writing/emailing and all that. They didn't really stay in touch though... 5 years later, he came back from college and was still friends with some of my friends - and my friend (star on the forum) had a bday party and invited him because he was just back in Australia at the time - I was about 22 - we started talking then (September 03), started dating officially in January 04, were engaged in August 04 and married in February 05!!

I found a video of a camp that we both attended when I was about 12 and he was 14 and had just moved back from Hong Kong. It was soooo funny - he was really skinny and had a TOTALLY British accent because he went to a British school over here!! SO different to how he is now... I nearly didn't believe it was even him!!

mesipie

nic that cracks me up...a chinese man with a british accent
its mesi: mee see...not messy

messaypah to only a certain few...lol...

It's not that unusual really...

Now, my hubby has a "mix" accent - but totally NOT Chinese. It's mostly Australian, but still with a bit of Brit and a bit of American... or if he's talking to singaporeans, he TOTALLY speaks "Singlish" lol - but he never talks "Chinglish" lol

I met my hubby at Calvary Tab in Indianapolis, IN in Oct 03.  I had went to visit a friend of mine, and since she was in the choir, she said i should sit "by that guy..i've met him once.."  ahhhh.   She left me in the middle of the IBC section with a guy i didn't even know .... much less didn't know anyone sitting around me.  I was skeered. lol.    Somehow, my friend and I convinced Logan and his friend Andrew to go to Brown County (state park) with us the next day.  I ended up falling and almost breaking my foot, so Logan says I fell for him.  He asked for my number before I left, and started calling me about 5 days later and has called me every day since then.    We started dating "officially" in Dec 03,  engaged on Feb 14, 04 and got married on Oct 9, 04.   Almost to the day one year later.  :)

Two years later, almost to the day, Landon Andrew was born 10-12-06..... and about two years later along will come baby #2 on Sept 12, 08 *on logan's b-day*.   AWWIES!!   We must really like sept/oct  loll...
