God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.

:D :D

Ok, we were all silver cause we had a wedding, and we all were matching :)

The jacket was a gift from Justin, and Brittani is the girl with me, she is Justin's Girlfriend and one of my "Girls" at church. We matched cause Justin saw to it that we did. :) He has awesome taste in clothes. :)
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

The Dingbats will get a kick out of this one...well I know Justin will.

Eboni now has a "Remember when Melody Fell?" Story.

I was heating up the last of the black eyes peas I made this weekend, and I was headed into the kitchen to get them. I am wearing my PJs which consist of Sweatpants, a tee shirt and socks. I was just walking along, headed to the kitchen and I hit that tile part in the entryway, and I started to slide...no biggie, I do it all the time, sometimes on purpose cause it is fun...but this time, as my right foot started to slide, my left knee decided to pop out of joint, therefore not enabling me to catch myself. I landed HARD on my tail bone, right there where the carpet meets the tile. I mean FLAT on my back. I never fall flat. I always just sorta crumple, but this time, straight back and flat. So I layed there, and waited for the bus. Eboni didnt laugh, in fact she was over here by the computer, and didnt so much as move. But she was staring at me. And didnt offer to help, which was what I wanted. So I layed there for about a min, catching my breath, and then the stupid phone started ringing telling me I had a Text Message. So after the third ring, I yelled at the phone, told it to "Shut up, Im coming as fast as I can!!" I got up and got my peas and ate supper.

So far, no bruises, but my knee looks swollen and it hurts pretty bad. And not to mention the pain in my rear. Literally.  :smirk:

I'm so sorry that you fell, and I'm glad that you are not hurt.

ROFL!! (Sorry Giggles... the waiting for the bus thing was an inside joke. I'll leave it up to Mel whether or not she wants to share it. *smile*)

*taps Eboni's nose with one finger, and frowns* Next time, help her wait for the bus. Don't sit there like an idiot, Eboni.  :pound:

*note to self: if you ever go to Guatemala, protect the knees and ankles at all cost*  :o

Sis

Mel, you need non-skid slipper socks. The ones at Walmart are good. Not too big. For some reason most of them are too big and don't fit like regular socks.

Every time I think I'm making something up, I hear it someplace else. I know exactly what you mean about that.

:laughhard:  :laughhard:

*sigh* yet another memory to take with me. However, for some reason, I'm thinking Jonathan always said "good" googly moogly. Oh well, doesn't matter, "good" or "great" I can still hear it and it still makes me laugh.  :thumbsup2:

MelodyB

Yeah, we say "Good" instead of "great" and it is mostly Jonathan that says it.

Now that's got me thinking of HFG moments:

The boys (including Ron) getting in trouble with Maria for setting off fireworks in the house and then shooting them at each other in the yard

Justin tackling me, trying to get my DL so he could see my middle name (which I wonder if you still remember - not that the name was important, but picking on me to get the name was)

Prayer request time - even though it was all a big joke that everyone knew what everyone wanted prayer for, it was awesome that we had that kind of bond that everyone always knew something they could pray for another.

I remember surprise birthday parties with special Dingbat visitors from Pcola

I remember Dingbat prayer time in the altar at the church in Pcola at the Bro. Stoneking conference.

Pumpkin Cake............... we may never know who's is really best, but I'm thankful that I know 2 people who make it really well. I also remember the first time I had pumpkin cake, I also had Rissa's chicken and dumplings, and I remember sitting on the couch watching Rissa do Jo's hair and the reason that sticks out to me is I was wondering if my hair would ever grow long enough to be fixed up. I wondered, because I still didn't know just how abundant God's mercy and grace is........ and praise God, I'm still learning.

You know, now that I think about it, it's not just the experiences I had with the Dingbats, but it's what I've learned through the experiences that will go with me forever. Through hard times and good times, mountains and valleys, the fun times, the times we were in complete agreement and the times we were in disagreement, two things we can all agree on, I'm sure:

1) God is good
2) Never give up

I love Dingbats!  :love2:

Sister_Mom

Melody, do you remember the matches with the note that was in the music book holder on our pew?

The note said:
Here are some matches, go start your own fire.

It stemmed from conversation that we had about churches being on fire and I told you how I felt like going to the church in Fayetteville was like revival to me. You told me about Bro. LeeJ talking to the youth about them being fascinated with other churches that seemed to be on fire for God and how they wanted that and Bro. LeeJ talked to the youth about not trying to go where the fire is, but starting their own fire.

Can you go where the fire is and still start your own fire?

MelodyB

You are seriously gonna make me cry.

Yes I remember your middle name...and I bet Justin does too. I do remember the matches I gave you. How fitting was that?!? LOL  I almost forgot about the prayer request time, you praying for Michael and Me for my job. LOL Jared always prayed for his Bio-Dad and his brother he never sees. Wow. I nearly forgot all that.

And Pumpkin cake...Mine is better...(Im safe saying that here, Rissa has forsaken GP... ;) ) You never know, you might get a piece very soon....:hypocrite:

What about when Michael looked across the table at me and very calmy said "Ya know what? You are a Quackhead"

B-E-A-R  :laughhard:

Yep, great memories, Mom. Keep them close to ya, cause no matter where you go, you will always be a Dingbat. Dont forget that.

*HUG*

OK hand over the tissues. :cry2: Great memories. We will always remember ladies conference, oh how we laughed  ;)   , and surely deaf conference  :freaky2: we had some really awesome times, special times of prayer. No matter where you go you will always be in my prayers.

Sister_Mom

ladies conference? Laughing?  ??? Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!! You mean the vibrating beds. Yeah, I didn't even have to put a quarter in mine!!!  :laughhard:  :laughhard:  :laughhard:

Yeah, that was you guys laughing though. It wasn't me. I was being good because I had to preach for 5 minutes the next day.  :hypocrite:

Deaf conference - First word that comes to mind .......... awesome!!!!!  I knew it was going to be something that would change you both forever, but even though I had been to some deaf conferences before, I wasn't prepared for what I saw and experienced there and I'm glad I shared that experience with the two of you.

Sis

*Sis is declairing herself Pumpkin Cake Judge Long story*  So let's give that stuff a try, Mel!

Sister_Mom

Be careful Sis!!!!!!!!!  :nono:

It's much better to just put yourself in a position to have the privilege of tasting both. You do NOT want to volunteer to "judge".  :o
Wanting to taste each, or seeing if you can taste a difference is much better. Judging between these two cakes could be very painful, if ya know what I mean.  ;)

Giggles, was there something you wanted to say about bringing home an adult beverage from Deaf Conference?  :hypocrite:
