lol but hes ok sometimes
we get along when it comes to football

main thing you could remember is, he came from a very different time, and needs time to adjust to change, the younger generation can change fast and sometimes its easier for older people to just block it out, instead of trying to comprehend the changes, if you get what i am saying. times for him went so much slower.

what is your favorite bible story and why?

Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
they stood for God even in the face of death

Daniel 3:17-18 (KJV)17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.   18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

they knew God could see them through and were willing to fave death to stand for their beliefs

Here is another point that stood out to me after listening to a message online

Daniel 3:27 (KJV) And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Despite what they had been through they did not cary the evidence of the trial on them.  Got me thinking, how often do we go through a trial and after that have to make sure everyone knows how bad we had it.

Do we cary around the evidince of our past trials or do we cary the testimony of how God saw us through?

just a thought

Ditto what Mz Ethyl said on this Tricia. You really got me thinking on this.  :great:
