I recently discovered that a popular hard rock band's lead singer is also a drummer. How many other lead singers were or are drummers?  Yes, I know I am one of them - but how many others can we come up with.....

Stevie Wonder?  really . .hmmm . .  that's interesting.  i didn't realize he played drums.     i'm impressed.

phil colins is the only one i came up with  . . . if i recall correctly . . . he played drums and sang when he was with Genesis before being on his own, right?  he was very, very good.

i don't know that i could name any others.

Yeah, backup doesn't count. I'm thinking of lead singers who were former drummers. Basically, drummers who have come into the spotlight as lead singers.

i think i remember that.  didn't each of them put out their own at some point?  obviously made a huge impression on me.

 I hear that Burlap to Cashmere is back together...woohooo...I think they all do a big drum solo in the middle of one song...everybody hops on some kind of percussion device and flails away.

Drummers always keep me in check. Without drummers, where would we be in the music world? As a fellow musician (guitarist) drummers are my favorite people in a band. Always keep me in time.
