Shew.. So- wedding was beautiful. I nearly swallowed my false teeth when it started though. With both parties having a background of Pentecost, and them telling me they knew our particular church didn't "do rings" I never thought about general appearance.
The sweet bride walked in to the sound of the wedding march- and when she walked through the sanctuary door I was taken back. Her gown...uh.....didnt exist past the bosom area. No arms, no nothing but so much skin. :laughhard:
God bless them, ya gotta love babies. We celebrated the wedding and not one person made noise about the dress. Even some of my older saints I would have worried told me privately "It was a bit bare but she's a baby, God will show her".
Never been more proud of my folks for the lack of judgment and the understanding. I haven't waivered in what the church standards have been for years, but I've tried to lead and demonstrate love and living the sermon, as well as teaching rather than hurting people.
God is blessing.
Today-did some work for Wed at the church; have assembled and am baking a lasagna, a bit ill with the ready to use noodles that are not softening up like I thought they should. And I have a new experiment- homemade Italian garlic bread of my own recipe- waiting to go in the oven..

and Isaac what do you need 34973 packs of women's razors for? lol
The blades don't know my gender and I refuse to tell them. I am not legally required to tell the blades I am not a girl. So they work just as well on my face.

Praying for ya'll Nelle. Shew, Lord been busy. So- was surprised by a funeral I had to preach today so I took a vacation day. A lady who attended our church a couple of time before going to the nursing home passed three weeks ago. Family put off the funeral and had a minister from Louisiana coming, so I was good. Yeah right. Wednesday at 4pm- the minister can't make it.
So I took off showed up at 11 when I was told too- the family put off the funeral until one. By the time the graveside was done what I thought would be two hours had turned into a 4pm finish time. Around 12 to 15 people there. Very sweet people though although it was tough when I knew the dead lady and one dear sister from my church, along with my assistant.
Tomorrow- wedding of a newly attending young couple kinda last minute. I knew they were both backsliders, but I had NO idea her father was too- he and I hit it off tonight  at the rehearsal. Good man, explained plainly why he left. Just from our connection however brief, I believe he will give us a try..
Then- Sunday, baby dedication and normal services.
Very busy season of life, but one I am thankful for. Every bit of it is because of church growth.

It's a tough day. Please pray for me and my husband Jeremy. Lots going on, and it's too much and too personal right now to talk about, but just pray for us and our marriage and his health.
