Whoever it was must have never had little boys around. ;)

I hate it when they put carpet in a bathroom or a kitchen.
Hopefully you'll get it fixed soon.

Isaac, hope things go well with your dad.

I'm glad you are able to be a help to your dad!

Just a few more days.

I survived the night with zero water. Gonna need to find a place to shower and launder some clothes. Good news is that it's not our toilet's seal leaking. It's the pipe that feeds the toilet w/ water. So we have to figure how to replace that. At least the nasty carpet is out of the bathroom now! That's a plus for sure.

Long day,
Tarred.
Nearly feathered too.
Ready for the weekend already
Sounding more like Seth every day...
Well I'm going to be living like Seth for maybe a good long while. Word came down that Dad is coming  home in 13 days. And this time he won't be able to run on his own.

So I turned in my notice at the job. And lo, there was much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth. Eh, they'll survive.

Perspective makes all the difference...

I'm glad we're in the USA. I crunched the numbers and Dad's social security check will EASILY cover all the costs we have. I'd hate to try pulling this off in some other countries.

Dad is working hard, exercising and practicing with his artificial foot. And the second artificial foot will be here in a while. I might only be here with him for a month.

On the other hand he is 70 and things keep breaking. I might be here at home with him for the next 7 years.

Or he might have a massive stroke in three days and never make it home at all... I have no idea how long this period of his life will last.

But I'm glad we don't live in Pakistan.

Our toilet decided to torture us and die a slow messy death. So our bathroom is practically flooded and down into the basement as well. Yay.

We currently have zero water connection to the house b/c the shutoff at the wall for the toilet refused to actually stop the flow of water. We're gonna have to get a toilet and a plumber.

On the PLUS side - we are also getting a dumpster delivered today or tomorrow so we are gonna PURGE this house.

Then Friday, I leave for Arkansas. I can't wait.

My stateside kiddos came last weekend and fixed my electrical problem. I'm so thankful. Had a wire that looked burned. It's a blessing that there was not a fire.

I did not sleep well last night. Bleh.  :frustrated:
I got a week and a half to get my house in order before my parents, grams and aunt descend upon me loool.
In concordance, i also have to take a millllion and one photos of my house as the "annual inspection" since we rent.

It's all stressing me out.
