Ive seen some posted on FB and such...but was wondering if we did a 30 day photography challenge on here, if anyone would want to join. September is just a few days away, and we could do it all for the whole month.

Okay I missed the point entirely. This is a photo scavenger hunt then? Every day we have a certain goal - take a picture of a sleeping cat, a restaurant worker sweeping the parking lot, an ice cream sundae...?
Exactly. I will try to find a list that will give us a daily goal for the picture.
If people forget to resize their pics this thread could quickly become one of those that takes ages to load.

Again, this is not a contest. It is a challange. I really want us to think about a creative way to take a picture, and have fun with the results.
I'm with Roscoe. I'd like to play but not sure if I can do every one. Depends on what is going on that day.
The good thing is that there will be one list (published before hand) so that you can think about how you will accomplish that picture. So, if you can, you can get several shots done for a period, then post them each day.
Also, I was thinking of size. I try to load all my photos to www.photobucket.com, then resize them to 640x480 (?...I think thats the size). We probably need to set a standard size for this.

As I have a profound dislike of the way I look in any photo, I will skip the self portrait.
I think that's the point OF this "challenge".
Is to be creative. Don't just take a photo of yourself and call it done.

Rats. I was gonna take one of my reflection in a computer screen, since that is a fairly accurate representation of me, but none of my laptop computer screens will reflect and I no longer have an old fashioned CRT. Then I thought I'd take a pic of my reflection off the lid of the record player, but with flash off it's too dark to see and with flash on it just bounces the flash back at the pic.
We're trying to get this thread to a bazillion... how many zeros in a bazillion?

Ah come on. I have never done anything like that before and it only took four minutes. I can see a few things I'd do different if I took the time to figure out GIMP a bit better, but from a cold start that's not bad. If I can do that, in that time, with no experience, you can do a lot better.

That's one powerful little speaker. I can hear it over the leak-check vacuum pumps. And it runs for two work days on three AAA rechargeable batteries, and I have my music without everyone else in the area having to listen to it. :cool:

I got y'all beat! We went to cracker barrel, and I hadn't eaten since breakfast, so I ordered some very awesome looking French toast! Four pieces of sourdough bread cooked to perfection, topped with blackberries and whipped cream! YUMMY!
