Not being mean to me.   :laughhard:

Sis

Stevebert might like that cookie but I don't like nuts in mine, so I will have to wait for the peach pie.   :laughhard:

ohhh.  I LOVE baking!

I spend a good amount of time baking for the holidays.  Cookies and fudge and such make good, inexpensive gifts.   :great:
I used to do TONS of baking for the holidays.  Cookies, banana bread, apple bread, pumpkin bread, pound cakes and stuff.  Haven't done as much lately.  Well, not unless Chel's doing a fundraiser and I may help with that, but thank goodness, I think we're done with those. *whew*

When the kids were small, we used to try to always do the roll out cookies with cookie cutters and icing.  That was before I worked outside the home.

I was thinking, AJ, that it may not be such inexpensive gifts anymore, now that all the prices have gone up so much.  A 5 lb bag of flour is about double what it used to be.

almondjoy

Yeah, I know the prices have gone up.  Afraid to see what it's gonna cost me this year.  LOL  But in all reality, it's still a cheaper (and more of a "from the heart") gift than going to the store and buying something.   :smirk:

The Purple Fuzzy

Well, I just got back from WM and I want to modify my last statement.  A bag of flour is more than double what it was a couple of years ago.  I used to pay about 78 cents for 5 lb WM brand and it's now $1.96
