Not a joke. I went.

I think I enjoyed the party more than the people who like football. They were disappointed in the game play. The halftime show was not fun. But I did what I always do, hung out on the sidelines and kibitzed.

It is a good thing for them that I did go. The local Wi-Fi was struggling. Then it just quit. So I ran the show from my phone hotspot.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

I've never heard of an apostolic church doing a Superbowl party. Not judging but never heard of it.
I had a good friend, Rev Joey Weatherford,  come over from Parker's Crossroads TN and preach for us. Awesome message and service, over 50 there which is good for us, with several out. Good meal afterwards too.
Fixing to go eat breakfast with them before they leave out.

We don't have service on Sunday evenings, so we have occasionally had a get together. We haven't ever streamed the game, but I don't see a problem with it! I don't know if I'd do it in the sanctuary personally but.. lots of churches don't have the facilities to have it elsewhere if they want to get together. None of us were fans of these teams tho lol.

Dentist appointment tomorrow afternoon for a crown replacement, then a sunday school department meeting at pastor's house.

I loved the halftime show. Yes, I couldnt understand it, but it was very love and inclusion focused and I think Bad Bunny did a fabulous job of it. The end message of the only thing more powerful than hate is love is what our country needs right now.

Monday's just come TOO FAST. I loathe it. I just want to cottage core in my little country house somewhere and frolic amongst flowers I grew. I'm tired of being a working adult. Sigh.

Hi. About to go teach a bible lesson that will cause folks to roll their eyes because I've hit on the main points of it alot.
But can't shake it...so I will teach it.

We are in the throes of chocolate covered strawberry fundraiser this week. I'm glad I like to eat them, hahaha.

Bicycle season has officially started.  Went for a ride yesterday after work. My muscles are already complaining about pumping up tires.

It got up to 80 today. I've got a few spring flowers blooming.

It's been nice here..but they say cold is headed back this weekend. I am so over cold. Finished my therapy today- go to the doc in the morning and will likely be released to full recovered status. Had very little pain lately, and the past couple of weeks the use and mobility of my arm has increased significantly. It's good to not hurt.
Church has kept me busy- weddings, a new premature baby that was prophesied then came true to a couple who had tried for 18 years to have- preemie but weighed 9lbs 8 ounces month early-, new folks coming.
We've been through some storms, and there are still nights that kids and all number in the 20s and 30s but we seem to be headed towards the 50 plus mark more frequently. The services lately have been deeper and more united than in a long, long time......and there is an air of expectation. New couples and backsliders coming home too. Had a visiting preacher tell a friend of mine the other day that he had preached at our church for years and has never felt the power and unity in it like the last two times he has been here. Makes me thankful, because I've worried.
We had some pruning done by God that was exceedingly painful- part of the reason I've been absent here- but it was needed. Currently have four newish actively seeking the Holy Ghost. The church looks about half charismatic right now- a small crew that are saints and have rooted and standards; and many more in various states of progress. I'm fiercely protective of them and do everything in my power to LIVE it, teach it, but not try to dictate it.
IT appears we will break ground soon on a small fellowship hall so our older folks can enjoy it too, and upstairs where we currently have a fellowship hall will be evangelist quarters.
I had a bit of an unbelievable moment of confirmation the other day. A coworker needed prayer, and asked myself and my Church of God in Christ Boss to go to my church and pray for her. We did and when we arrived, my boss had her 82 year old COGIC mother on speaker phone wanting to pray with us. We began to pray and the Holy Ghost fell. The lady on the phone spoke to my coworker and told her of another health issue she had told no one but me about and said God was going to heal it. I thought, wow, but COULD be coincidence.  Then the old lady who I have never met and had only been introduced by name to, said " Bro Bobby, I don't know you but the Holy Ghost said to tell you that you have a loved one that has been suffering an illness for five years. He said He is healing them" It's been almost 5 years exactly since Lou's breathing issues due to covid started and a minister had prophesied over her last week saying a healing was coming. Then the lady said something else. "Also, Bro Bobby, a few months ago a very bad spirit left your church. God said to tell you get ready because revival is here and you are about to see something the likes of which you cannot imagine. You are about to see a lot of growth"
For the record- a very unhappy longtime member left in October, and the spirit she was entertaining was one of the hardest I've ever dealt with. This lady knew none of this.
I wept in amazement that God cared enough to send me a message like this, not just from a passing evangelist, but by someone who doesn't even have the whole truth. And there is NO WAY short of God that she could have been that specific and accurate.
And thats all the sharing I have.

My mom is back in the hospital. Seems like her mind is either fine or she's out of it. Not much in between.

Roscoe

Sorry to hear that Fuzz. Seeing parents age isn't fun.
Been a busy week.... and today was the first of the work week.
Spent most of Monday with a brother outlining some work on the church....today was work, coupled with running by the church afterwards- had the whole thing including the retaining wall out front power washed.
Small steps, next up a friend is doing a blueprint drawing for the new fellowship hall and hopefully I'll have that for one of my contractors to start with....
