It's was nice and cool this morning but got in the upper 80s later on.

Roscoe

Hi. Been a rough few days. Sickness grabbed hold and wont let go. Headcold, no taste, coughing. Blah. It aint even cold yet and I'm dealing with junk. Over it.

If I lost my taste, nobody could tell. I don't have much taste to begin with.

If it were my taste in clothing, etc. I'd care not. But it's affecting my food man. :pound:  :pound:

Got a bit of taste back. I think I'll break off from study in a few and trot over to Micky D's and grab a chicken big mac...see if I can taste that.

Bobby never reported back, but I know how that test went. I have been cooking chicken macs for the past half a week. They don't have much flavor.

He tried one and couldn't taste it at all, so now he believes his cold has returned with a vengeance.

Chicken Big Mac doesn't even sound good to me.

Lynx

It's about four chicken nuggets, mashed into one big patty. Two of those patties in place of the regular beef patties on a Big Mac.

I'll just stick to chicken nuggies lol.

We start vacation this weekend woohoo. So t-minus 4 more days.

For vacation: We're going Sunday to DFW to stay at hubbs grandmas. He's got an eye appointment on Monday early AM. Then we'll trek back home. Going to spend the remainder of the week just doing Spark deliveries to make money. Apparently Oklahoma tax, title, license aren't included in the car cost? From what we can see? So now we're afraid we're gonna have to fork out 1300. Stressing hard over that. Especially since we don't even have the car yet.  :pound:

Well. Being the odd duck, I actually liked the chicken big mac very much. My cold has let up to the point I can actually taste something.
So. The church, for those of you not on fb, were way generous to us this weekend. For twenty years, we've had a basic small white refrigerator. The inside rails in the doors have been broken and taped up and recently the ice maker began leaking. I'd promised Lou that once I got to the point of Chey's kitchen having tile, I'd move the old faithful out there and buy her a new fridge. Her best friend, who prayed back through a few months ago and is making up for lost time, has heard her say how bad she wants one. When someone mentioned Pastor Appreciation Month, she suggested a new fridge. Our wonderful, amazing folks bought us a beautiful stainless steel Whirlpool fridge with all the bells and whistles- Icemaker with crushed or cubed dispenser, water dispenser in the door- everything Lou wanted, AND had it delivered. Yes, being a tenderhearted wuss, I cried- because I know the sacrifice some of those sweet folks have made to contribute to pay for that. So blessed.

Getting cooler out.

Soon it will be time for the people who said they missed the snow just a few weeks ago to start saying they miss summer.

That would be me. I have grown to tolerate cold and enjoy the occasional freezing weather influenced day off.... But deep down, I'm already missing my summer. :pound:
At work. Been busy as what this morning but the rest of the day should be chill.

By the way - You can order replacement door shelving and replacement interior shelving online for your fridge. I've had to replace one of our door shelves and our bottom glass shelving 'house' on our fridge.

@Work. It's raining a bit here and it's 50 degrees. SO COLD, hahaha. Thankfully I'm inside the office with my heater on, but I have the dog today, so we do have to go into the chilly air to go potty (she does, not me). I'm assuming it's the weather helping my head to have an ache.

This Saturday evening we are going to see the Oak Ridge Boys in 'concert' at a local casino/resort in the area. Hubby loves them and it's their farewell tour, so we splurged a little on two tickets to go. I'm hoping I enjoy it more than I think I will. I'm not a big concert person. I can listen to music at home with less people around.. and can pause it when I get tired of it, haha. It doesn't even start until 8pm, so that'll be interesting since I'm usually sleepy around 9:30. LOL. I'm glad he's getting to go and experience them in person though!

Please report on what songs they sing.

The only album I have of theirs is a very old one, so I have no idea where they are musically these days.

All I know is that one retired earlier this year and they've got another guy singing in his place. He looks to be significantly younger than the other 3. I only know a song or two of theirs myself.

Indeed it is.
Well, my day is starting appropriately for a grump. It's 32 degrees. Not a fan.
I had to get up. Not a fan.
I hurt. Once again, not a fan.
And I forgot my phone and left it at home. Bah. I'm over adulting. :pound:  :pound:

@Work. Eating leftover Casey's breakfast pizza. We brought in two pizzas and a cookie cake for Bosses Day yesterday. The cookie cake had icing writing saying "Thanks for not firing us yet!" lol.

Tonight is Celebrate Recovery service.

I was SO tired last night that I was in bed around 9pm. It's also way too cold. It was 65 in our house and our heater in our bedroom turned itself off for some reason. My Dyson app wouldn't connect, so I had to get UP out of bed at 7am and turn it back on so that I could get ready for work and not feel like I was freezin to death, hahaha.

Good thing you repeated so much that you are not a fan. A fan would be way too cold on a day like this.

I just took an old friend for his last ride. My Mazda minivan is no more. The engine just kept getting worse and worse. It was still drivable when I made it to the scrap yard, just barely.

Maybe not the Green Mile, but it's definitely the metal mile.

Pixar should have an adult division and make a movie about cars on their last trip to the scrap yard.

They probably would. But there are those idiots like me that will rarely if ever see a day that my beloved babies would take that last trip. I can always bend metal back out, and fix parts.
Granted, regular passenger cars that I haven't bonded with when they are used up they are done. But if it has managed to become my "friend"  :biglaugh: ...no matter what it is, it'll stay forever with me.  Of course this is why I have- uh, I think 9 licensed and drivable rides right now.  :laughhard:
I'm a car hoarder and addict. I admit it.

I love the cooler weather that's dropped in for a brief moment.
We took a mile walk down our road last night and it was so chilly.

Hubbs and I are on PTO next week. Cannottt wait.

Between license plates and car insurance, that gets expensive!

I cheat a little. Four- The '46, the '52, the Model A, and Chey's '79 Corvette are all on an antique auto policy. About $60 a month for the four, and antique tags are a one time purchase.
The remaining 5- Liability on two and full coverage on three. Kinda pricy but not terrible. But yes, it'd have been cheaper if I'd kept my hobbies limited to ham radio and forgot about cars :nono:
