Quote from: Roscoe on September 10, 2024, 12:43:02 PMMorning. Despite the crud I went to Paragould yesterday and hauled back a trailer load of a church member's belongings. Highlight of the day was a late lunch with some most delicious fried pies for dessert. Got home around 5, took Nyquil and laid down. Couldn't sleep. Wound up with around 4 hours of sleep and back at work. If I had not had to turn in the uhaul trailer and had 12 people scheduled, I'd have burned some of those 900+ hours of sick time today.

Whoa. That's too close to my parents. LOL.

LOL That's not counting vacation hours of nearly 250 hours.....
It's just so hard on me to catch up my work when I take off and have tons scheduled.

I have a VERY hard time taking off work as well. It's SOOO stressful the day before and after.. or a the week depending how long I'd take off. I took off a day yesterday to work on the house before my momma comes this weekend. I felt guilty for using the day I had available anyway.

Back @work today. I start payroll on Wednesdays and finish payroll on Thursday mornings so those are not days off possibilities for me barring some major vacation.

Still spending tonight working on the house since we have switched our midweek to Thursday nights to combine our midweek with our Celebrate Recovery services. I enjoyed our first one last week, tho I am somewhat anxious about this process. I know it will be beneficial in the end for myself and hopefully many others in our community.

Jeremy leaves Friday after work for a bear hunt in New Hampshire. Secretly (guess not so secretly now) hoping he DOESN'T get one so that I don't have to pay to have anything mounted. This "free" trip is costing a lot of money at this point, haha.

I'm hoping he doesn't either lol. Poor bear :(

I'm glad it's Wednesday finally. But this week seems to be dragging for some reason.
Sitting in my office at my desk and I hear the roomba talking. She's stuck somewhere. lol

I feel much the same.. BUT they are experiencing overpopulation of bears which is a danger to humans as well as their species in the area. So I get it.. lol. I'm a Bambi kid. They'll also be hunting some nuisance animals while they're in the area.

Our friend just got back recently from South Africa hunting safari. He was thinking about getting a giraffe.. which I had serious issues with.. as well as the zebra among the other animals they got. He decided against the giraffe this time, BUT - I understood their reasoning. The animals the guides pick out are often the trouble makers that are causing issues in their own herds or endangering other wildlife. Plus they feed the villages with this food.. so it's not just slaughtering of animals widespread there either.

Lynx

This is Lynx radio, broadcasting live from uptown Newnan Georgia!

Coming up on this half hour... Not much, because nothing is open yet. My friends don't get in till later today.

I'm about to hit the local thrift stores HARD for their CD collections.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

They don't really get scared until they see a big sheaf of notes. Bring a notebook.

Better yet, 17 loose pages. A notebook might have one page of writing. 17 loose pages, there's a reason for each page.

Bear. Having tasted the flesh of said beast, I am in favor of hunting them. Greasy but good.
And Gawja.....Lawd hab mercy. Been through there one time, while puttering around Florida on a motorcycle many moons ago. Absolutely loved the tiny section of the state I saw.

And re: bible study- Didn't go. Got a call at 530 that my sister Kim had fallen in a local store parking lot and I had to go get her.  Basically, she went to enter a car parts store, tripped over the curb, and caught herself with her hand. Wound up at the ER with a badly sprained wrist and a shore shoulder, hopefully just a tissue bruise. Call my assistant while rushing in to deal with her and he handled it.
Prayers requested for unspoken  on my part...I need wisdom to address some things and His guidance.
Oh- and last but not least- I'm taking vacation tomorrow. And I don't think I'm telling anyone.

Goodness Bobby glad shes okay and heals up.

I found a book club in my town and the meeting is tonight. I'm so close to chickening out. Ugh. A year and a half of not having any friends has made me such a recluse. And making friends is hard hard.

This crud has still got us feeling weak. Seems to take forever to get over.

Our meetup is over and I have moved on to visiting Mom in East Tennessee.

While here I am making the rounds of the local thrift stores. Good grief, there sure are a lot of them in this small town!

Bobby, Lou would be ecstatic about all the CD collections around here.

Well I went to book club and survived. It was actually quite nice.
Hubbsters had the full weekend off and we literally vegged on the couch all weekend. That was nice.

But alas, per usual I did NOT want to get up this morning. lol
Covering for a team member this week. Maybe I won't be so bored.  :great:

Still dealing with the crud here too, Fuzz. Congestion, coughing, plow in the chest. Trying to power through it. Not sure it's working but no other choice.
Thankful for the day off. Went to the bank; went and picked up a brother in the church and took him to lunch as he needed to talk for a bit. Praying God moves deeply for my friend Shane and gives him the infilling with tongues that he is seeking.
Came back home, sanded some of Chey's walls- wrong grit, need finer paper. Turned myself into Casper with sheetrock dust. Didn't exactly boost the breathing either. :pound:

There are times you NEED to wear a face mask. That sanding is one. So is cleaning out the chicken coop.

You are right.
Left early going to north east arkansas...here lately I'm around Nelle's stomping grounds alot.
Found a good bbq joint in Osceola.
On way home. So tired of riding...

Morning all. Wanted a McDonald's steak bagel. Couldn't find my work phone. Finally found phone, still no bagle. Bah.  Day is NOT being kind thus far to me.

I grabbed breakfast at BK this morning and really wanted to get a frozen coke (caffeine!) but their machine was down. So sad. I didn't have any creamer here at work, so I had to settle for a coffee with Fairlife chocolate protein drink mixed in. It's okay... I'm not sure I'm getting much out of it tho, haha.

Jeremy FINALLY comes home tonight. Athena's going to be out of her mind with excitement when he rolls in this evening. She's been a good girl but I am OVER THE MOON excited to not be her only human LOL. I think I've also talked my momma into staying thru Sunday so we can go hang out tomorrow sans the dog child, haha.

Finally Friday!  :sing:

It's supposed to be 100 today. Like whyyyyy. Where are you fall??  :'(

So, I had to go try the steak, egg and cheese bagel since Bobby kept talking about it. It was good but super filling and EXPENSIVE.

They do be pricey.
Just got in from doing home visits. Ready to go home myself.

I work tomorrow then I'm on vacation for a week. My church is frying pork rinds to sell at the James Dean Festival next weekend.

Shew. Church. Yesterday was busy. I was so caught up in working on things time got away from me. At one point while sanding on sheet rock I looked like Casper the friendly ghost in a four factory. Little by little...
