Shew lawd. I have walked a few dozen miles today.
Rented Lou a scooter cause covod has jacked with her breathing. She went from embarrassed "I don't need that" to playing Burt Reynolds in "Smokey and the Bandit" within one building.
She bought salsa from everyone who dared to set up a salsa stand, bought clothes for her and chey, and whatever else i dont know. Now we aboht to leave canton. No telling where we gonna stay tonight...just meandering

Yeah, they come out of the woodwork at my job too. Labor Day means a lot of hectic labor. Not heavy labor, but you gotta move FAST!

Been a busy few days. Good church last night. Got a radio installed in Chey's little gas saver and got some stuff for the apartment that was needed. Back to work tomorrow.

Wait, what is she driving? I thought she had a Corvette...

Did you get her a gas saver with her approval or despite her anguish?

She still has her Corvette. Through no fault of hers- mine, actually- we wound up with an extra vehicle, a '95 S10. It was obtained with good intentions, for my nephew to have for school and work. He lost his mind, his job, and his drive to do the right thing, not necessarily in that order. As much as I love him, if I have to pay for it- it is mine. He chose to go his own way and try life from a different angle. No hard feelings I love and wish him well...
So- since Chey's vette gets 15 to 18 mpg around town due to her loving the pipes on it, she wanted something with better fuel mileage. Since it was here anyway, I went and had her put on the loan in place of him, build her credit, and she can drive something with mid 20s mpg. The Corvette is now her weekend/show off ride.

Is that the kid that was staying with you? It's hard watching them make bad decisions.

Quiet week over here. Lots of "rain" even though I haven't seen it. Only seen it on the weather map lol.
But it's not 100 degrees, nor is it 90 degrees, so we will take it!!!!

One of my cats is sitting in front of my screen as I type this and he's trying to catch the emojis that are moving above the text box lol it's quite cute!

Yeah. Decided he didn't want to go back to school for his senior year, and hasn't passed his DL Test. Mid-summer, it was like he decided he was done with anything constructive.

Morning all. Back at work. Today is Lou and my 21st anniversary. Doesn't seem that long ago in some ways- in some ways it feels like forever.
Church last night- taught on giving, always a ticklish subject. Went well although our numbers were down a bit- I joked someone must've leaked my subject.
I totally am relying on coffee this morning to move me. I cannot describe the degree to which I am dragging.... :biglaugh:

Summer heat can sometimes do that to a boy...

So. I'm half asleep. Office is dead quiet. All of the sudden an EXPLOSION rocks the building. Scared me to death and now "I need new tighty whities." Sounded like a bomb went off.
We have a drug court offender who has no transportation and rode his bicycle in. Since some of our clientele are not the most honest, thus having to come see us, he was allowed to park his bicycle inside the lobby while he was in class.
His bike tire EXPLODED. Spontaneously.

And while we were just discussing it, I found something more to laugh at. We have an old crone who causes everyone heartburn.  She's been here since the Dead Sea got sick, and bless her heart she can be most disagreeable. She can also be sweet- but it's not often.
She told me " I was in the bathroom, and just as I flushed, I heard the explosion". Poor old thing thought she'd blown up the bathroom literally. :laughhard:

hahaha that's hilarious Bobby. I didn't know a bike tire blowing up could make that much of a noise.

Covering for a teammate today and so had to come sit at my desk for 30 mins. lol
Now back to the couch!

Off topic - why do some emojis work and some don't?

I've heard of professional bikers having high pressure tires, but that's ridiculous!

I run Gatorskin hardshell tires myself, but it would probably take a good 110 psi to make them go boom.

Urgh. I am thankful it is Friday. Torn between wanting to run to Lowes for some supplies tonight after work or running to the house and recliner. I've GOT to get the plumbing done before it gets cold out. And I hate plumbing thus putting it off..

Creeping crud has set in. The weather gets pretty- and boom I am attacked by a wicked cold/sinus drainage.
Had guests tonight at church. I tried to follow God, preached what He gave me- and my voice said "I quit". I actually had to end early because I simply couldn't speak more.
The guests both had tears in their eyes afterwards and told me they would be back- and they were going to bring more folks too.  I pray they do. They are some of the sweetest people I have ever been around.

I think I've got the crud, too. Sinus drainage and sore throat and feeling cruddy.

MsJennJenn

Ya'll keep that crud over there I don't want it lol

So I found a friend I had in my 20's who lives in Ardmore. We met up last night and caught up. It was so great!!!

Morning. Despite the crud I went to Paragould yesterday and hauled back a trailer load of a church member's belongings. Highlight of the day was a late lunch with some most delicious fried pies for dessert. Got home around 5, took Nyquil and laid down. Couldn't sleep. Wound up with around 4 hours of sleep and back at work. If I had not had to turn in the uhaul trailer and had 12 people scheduled, I'd have burned some of those 900+ hours of sick time today.

It's just so hard on me to catch up my work when I take off and have tons scheduled.

My vacation started yesterday afternoon when I clocked out. I will resume being a productive member of the human race in a week and a day.
