Oh my goodness!  I got some FUN mail today.  Some heirloom tomato seeds and a present.  Friends know exactly what I like:  FOOD.  And it's the truth!

I feel so loved. ♥

Oh I made spagetti tonight but I added some preroasted red peppers to the sauce.  It had some kick.  Nathan liked it.

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

And it's official, I'm looking for a new church. I'm done feeling like the awkward fat kid in gym the day of dodgeball in elementary school. 2 seperate things happened this week that has absolutely grated my cheese and I'm done. Going to visit a church in Johnson City tomorrow or possibly go back to Gate City (I've been there a few times before).

Honestly if it weren't for GP I'd completely give up on church. You all are much more like family than any actually churches I've been too. I would like to say thank you all for that!!!

I shall pm you my address Ruby! I'm excited!!

Heather - You've no idea how much I wish that you could come to my church.  :-? But the drive might be a tad far.

I've already kicked my boys outside for the morning. Now then. To get some housework done, and then perhaps work on a couple more ToB orders. Being flooded with new orders is NOT a bad thing. But it does pose an interesting scenario for trying to get them done in a timely manner. ;)

HeatherB the solution is simple - move down here.  We have a great church.  :D

Speaking of which, I'm making a rather large lemon cheesecake for church Homecoming tomorrow.  Anyone who can, you are all welcome to come over.  Lunch is at noon-ish... depending on when church gets out.  You know us pentecostals, we don't have a time clock on the preacher.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

I just gazed upon a picture of my hat!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!

I told Brandon he needs to get my car fully functional so I can just go stay at Mel's every weekend. Lol. I don't think he liked that idea. Lol

:waving: Me and Rusty had a successful trip home. Wound up putting exactly 600 miles on him. Not a bit of trouble, excepting the fact that he doesn't have a/c and the area set records for heat this week.. :-\

Had a wonderful time- good church, got to see some friends from other states I rarely see, got to meet Ma Porter and Okieoliveoyl and her hubby, had the pleasure of lunch with Chellebelle and her galoot, who gave me the tour of the area and took lots of pics, got to see my old friend Sam..... Ahh, it was grand, me laddies. Ya shoulda been there..

I got up early this morning and left Tulsa while it was yet cool. I stayed to the back roads, and caused a three, three and a half hour trip to take nearly four and a half hours, but it was worth it. Got home while it was still coolish- 85-90- :laughhard: and found the part I'd ordered for chey's birthday present had came in so I fixed it.

Now I'm waiting on my world, in the form of Lou and Chey, to get home so's I can see Chey light up when she tools around in her new gokart.  :biglaugh: Life IS truely grand, and I am the luckiest man alive.  :thumbsup2:

HEATHER!

Get down here! Like now! ;)

I have had the best day with my Kimber...we priced yard sale stuff, went to the good will, talked to granny for like an hour, went to the dollar tree, argued over lunch, ended up at a Buffett that we totally gorged out on, drove around a people watched, in the rain, cleaned the church, layed in the floor, laughed, harassed Roscoe via text, watched Youtube videos, made memories, talked some more, hit Sonics happy hour, sat in the parking lot in the rain while having a dance party and talking about GP, and called Heather to coax her to move here.

Now she is gone and my youth are about to arrive to finish off my great day. :bigcheese:

My thoughts exactly.  I'm so glad you got that Mel.

Mel, Brandon didn't like that idea. He's totally ok with weekend trips but you have to send me back

I know the feeling.  I had a speed reading accident yesterday.  Hit a bookmark and went flying across the room.

Shame on you, everyone, for having such a good day.  I had to work today.  The furnace line is so far behind we are going to be running parts next week while the rest of the factory is doing inventory.  Oh well, it's more money.

Tomorrow should be a good day though.  Church homecoming.  And the lemon cheesecake I made for the homecoming turned out well, and is very large.  11 inch leak-proof springform pans are awesome.

Ugh!!!! After having to miss two days of work with an ankle issue that happened on the job, now I am having schedule issues. I asked for Tuesday off almost a month ago and was told "no problem". Well, they scheduled me for Tuesday and created a problem. Pray for a simple fix on this! Also keep praying for my ankle!

Ummm, I just looked and his last post and login was on Thursday! That's NOT right!

He really is alive though, my phone just honked, like a goose, meaning he text me back. :o

He claims he's hunting wabbits.

Anyway. Now that I am sure he is ok, I'm going to bed.

When I got up this morning I put a big roast in the crock pot. Tonight I got home, cleaned the kitchen, and put potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms in the big Dutch oven style pot and put the roast and juices on top. Tomorrow it will go into the oven at 7am on 350, and then at 8, I'll knock it down to about 300, and when mom leaves for church at 9, she will turn it OFF and leave it in the oven. When we get home, about 1, or 1:30, the veggies will be perfect, and the meat will have fallen apart and it will be still warm.

Then we eat. :fork:

Tried and true meal that we all LOVE.
