Oh, by the way... Chel remember that USB cable you borrowed?  You can have it permanently, I don't need it anymore.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Majorly sick. Doctor considered admitting me, didn't like the way I look (join the crowd!) :)

huh? I gave it back...
I had coiled it and set it on the table... I promise. You picked it up and carried it off upstairs...
  :attackhug: Be full of hugs!

I bought myself a little happy today. A small speaker system that I can plug my iPod into so I can listen to Narnia while I drift off to sleep without using my headphones.

I'm headed to bed now, and Jenn...thanks for the hug earlier...I forgot to acknowledge it. I'm prolly gonna have toast for breakfast and I'll think of you. ;)

MELB! I'm having toast today too!!!!!! YIppppppppeeeeeeeeee

John, I hope you get to feeling better.  Admitting you would probably be the only way to make you rest.

I know.  But you can have it back, as a spare or something.  You missed where I got rid of the device I used to charge with it.  It has balked on me the last time.

From what I've heard, that's about the size of it.  Or hog-tie him, but that's not too conducive to recuperation.

It is COLD over here!  I bet we won't have any pears this year, the blooms just froze.  Or pecans, or peaches, or plums, or...  :sadbounce:

Here too!  High today of 56°.  A week or so ago it got to almost 90°.  Looks like we're having spring after all... This is why spring and fall are NOT my ideal seasons.  In the midwest, it's a yoyo game.

Did it really get down to freezing?

Melody

Alright, I had to turn my heat back on.

It's cold and gloomy so with a cup of coffee in hand, I'm going to make this today.

Blue Velvet cake.  Just like Red Velvet only blue with berries and a lighter frosting.

Yes Seth.  It would probably kill you.  ;)

MsJennJenn

YUM! I don't like red velvet cake...but I think I would eat that!!!

I don't know, I didn't get up in time to see the frost.  All I know is I woke up shivering.

And I am now short one tooth.  That dentist is efficient and effective.

wisdom tooth, front tooth?  Should we prepare ourselves if you look like an Appalacian hillbilly?   :ugly:

Cakes are in the oven.  The recipe was fun, made a baking soda/vinegar fiz at the end.  It called for 1 cup of buttermilk and I only had 1/2 a cup so I subbed some blueberry kefir... lol  People are going to be confused about what it is.  It has a slight blueberry flavor but is really just chocolate cake, like red velvet.  Now who to give the extra one to...

Wisdom tooth.  It never did give me much wisdom though, just a lot of pain in short, strong bursts.

Plane blew a tire on the runway.  They are now sitting on a taxiway, waiting for support personel to come and change the tire.

Well get out there and help them :hypocrite:

mini

Me no touchy planes, unless I am putting fuel in them.  You have to be a A&P to even change a tire....  :smirk2:

Lord lord. Long day already. Took the dog to the groomers, had a playdate with Olivia, went and got the dog, brought him home, went to town, picked up dads homeless friend, took him to WM, got a few more groceries, came home, unloaded the truck, now waiting on dad to get home so I can take him to the hospital, Then maybe church, depending on what they do to dad.
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

MelodyB

Ok so...let me add to my above post.

I took dad to the hospital, sat in the waiting room for a bit, and they took him back to triage, he showed the nurse his toes, the nurse said that yes, they would most likely admit him, and get his toes taken care of, one way or another. But the nurse also said that the computer system crashed earlier today, and since then everyone and their momma had gotten sick or hurt and come in to the ER, including 5 ambulances (his exact words...) and that to BE PATIENT, and DO NOT LEAVE until someone looks at this foot, cause it may be a long wait. They only had ONE unoccupied room and the waiting room was PACKED....so we go back into the waiting room and wait. And wait. And wait. Two hours later...dad is starting to get nausauted and talking about going home. We remind him what the triage nurse said, and I get him a sprite out of the vending machine. We wait some more. Dad starts to get upset and starts raising his voice saying he will just go to wound care tomorrow and it will be fine. He would rather go home and go to bed. THEN he noticed that ALL THE PEOPLE that were there...even some of the ones that had come in AFTER us, they all have been called back to the ER, and he gets more upset. So he stands up and walks out. All Mom and I can do is follow. She drives Dad home in the truck, and I drove the death wagon to church.

We spent nearly three hours waiting for NOTHING.

*sigh*

This means tomorrow, he said he will go to wound care, and then BACK to the hospital for another long wait in the waiting room. So hopefully tomorrow it won't take as long to get him back into a room, and he can have this foot seen about.

I'll be taking him to wound care in the am.

Now I'm home. Tried to watch some NCIS, but my brain is NOT functioning well, so I'm going to bed.

Goodnight.
