Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

MelodyB

Does anybody else like to burn their toast just a little before they make the sandwich? I love it.

Just random sharing.

Depends on the sandwich.

In SHARING news, today I popped down to Jackson to pick up a laptop from some guy who wanted to sell it.  It has a firewire port, so I'm hoping it will work with my MOTU audio interface.

Then I went by Goodwill and got three pairs of dress pants for $9.  That's $3 a piece, $9 for all three of them.  I think I like that place.  Picked up a USB keyboard and two computer mice there too.
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Yeah, right. Braggart!  :P

My week's not been that bad- still feeling like a truck stuck in a mudhole though.....Spinning my wheels and going nowhere. :laughhard:
I'm off today, fixin to head to school to drop Chey off, then have the Corvette's tires mounted, then run by the library, then come home and try to straighten up my pigsty of a yard.......maybe I can get Brother In Law to stumble over and help me finish disassembling Rusty's engine. And somewhere in there, the local appliance Repairman is gonna get in my wallet.....Bah.

No way.  I hate toast if it's even a little burnt.

I am in agreeance. I even under cook my toast to make sure it's not burnt!

*Psalm_97 wanders in, looks around expectantly, aims a paper airplane at Roscoe's head and wanders out again.

I am convinced that some people never look at their "You have XX messages" unless they know to be expecting a PM.

The only sandwhiches where I cook the bread is like grilled cheese type where it's all being made at the same time.  So if you mean the toaster, no but I could see the logic. Otherwise I use hamburger buns and such for cold sandwhiches.  Nathan heats it all up in the microwave.  THAT I think is nasty cause it's almost soggy.

I like my toast well done though.    ☺

* Roscoe shoots down said paper plane with his trusty .45 and goes to check the PM that Isaac has evidently sent him. :laughhard:  And yeah the .45 is overkill- deal with it. :P

Actually, I saw it, just didn't have time to respond.  :P

Sandwiches from hamburger buns?  *shudder*

A couple thin slices of whole wheat sourdough, toasted, with more than a quarter pound of turkey and a little cheddar... now there's some good eating!

Melbs! What happened to your prof pic?! lol

*confused*

It's still there. Same thing, Livi kissing her Duckie. What does it look like from your angle?

And the toast...yes, in the toaster. And anything really, but ESPECIALLY tomato sandwiches taste better with the bread burnt a bit. And I agree, I LOVE a big sesame seed hamburger bun with tomato on it, or other sandwich meat. Yummy. Sometimes I burn that a little on purpose too. ;)

I'm awake. Gonna be a good day today. As Sis Mom used to say to me "MAKE it a good day!"

Cleaning the kitchen really good, and the dreaded bathroom, and gotta figure out something to rig up to cover up the tub so our guests can't see the nasty backed-up toilet water in there. Can't fix it so have to cover it for now. Also gotta make tater salad and pies today. And dad wants steak for dinner. So I have a busy day ahead. Better get started. :-)

MelodyB

Not really. She is super busy these days, and I talked to her for a couple of hours around Christmas. I really need to call again. But it's hard to catch her when she isnt busy.

I see Mel's avatar... Odd, I have never heard of this before.  Sometimes in chat some people could not log in for some unexplained reason when people in another part of the country could, but I've never heard of avatars not showing up only on one person's computer.

Yes, Melody!  Especially a BLT.  There are some divine buns out there, if I'm not making my own.

It's probably because she has a Mac. ;)
