merning............

I think I got maybe 2 hours of sleep. Gonna be a long day.
I got a bit more than that, but yeah... gonna be a long day.  My lack of sleep was my own fault though.

What is it about not getting enough sleep that makes it harder to shave?  Does the skin regenerate during sleep, is it rougher if you don't get enough?
"Do you sing at church?"

Everything in your body is aided by sleep so it would make sense that a lack of sleep would have an affect on the skin, Plus I think lack of sleep makes whiskers tougher. lol

Every Sunday morning I have to talk myself into going to church. Is this normal? Why can't I just get up and go? Why is it always this debate? Gah!!!!

Merning everyone!

Been a busy few days, and a real busy one today.

Went to ministers retreat for the first time.  It was so relaxing.  Minimal services, designed to get as much rest as you could.  It would have been better if I had not drank coffee Friday night...lol  I was up till 2 am.

In other news, I got to drive Sam out on the open road!  Next on his list of must haves is a muffler.  Thing sounds like a diesel...woo.

I think most people have an issue with this at one time or another... I know I do more than some people...

Oh, and w2cch.

When you're the preacher and the organ player it's pretty much expected that you show up.  :smirk2:

Speaking of what you might miss...  There's this one little old lady in our church that is very um... outspoken.  If she has something to say she'll say it, to the whole church, right in the middle of whatever is going on.

The pastor was talking about praise today.  He mentioned some churches (didn't name any names) that don't ever shout or anything.  He said, "Now what would you do if you visited a church where you couldn't say anything in the service?"  The little old lady piped up and said, "Well I'd just go home!"

I thought some people were about to fall off their pews laughing.  :biglaugh:

I went. We had awesome praise & worship this morning. Alot of visitors. I did leave before service was over though because the pastor was talking about 'If you find a good wife you find a good thing'. Then the pastor talked about finding a bad wife and my ex-husband was amen-ing up a storm 2 rows behind me. Just annoyed me. So instead of throwing a chair at him I left.

Brandon's dog is showing all the signs of going into labor. I could be helping birth some puppies here soon!!

^^^Yeah that! It's like you went to the same church that I did this morning...oh wait, you did. ;)

I got a nap too, and I'm feeling a piece of red velvet cake calling my name from the kitchen...

:fork:
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

Went to church at Sanders this evening.

Got pretty stinkin' close to gettin' the plaster shouted off the ceiling.  :bouncy:

Talking red velvet cake??  :eyebrow:

HeatherB: I think that, when you live by yourself, or no one else in your home goes with you, it is much more difficult to feel "required" to go to church unless there is someone there who tags in with you often who will sort of "expect" you to be there.  I suspect that's what the whole "Body of Christ" thing is REALLY about...  loving one another even when it's not Sunday.  If you're able to truly be connected to the body, it's easier to feel like you belong there.  **HUGS**  I also recall a phase in my life where I was in pretty rough depression.  It wasn't always easy to go to church, even when I had a leadership role.

With regards to Taco's PBJ&P sandwich: His wife was NOT in charge of his midnight snack!  *shudder*  lol  *shaking my head*

Isaac: That lady's comment you posted cracked me up!  :-)

Awesome service this morning.  My husband preached amazingly well.
My dad and stepmother were visiting.
Had a wedding shower after service.
Really good day.  Exhausting, but good.
*contented sigh*

Seth: Sounds like you ummm...  had good church today?  lol

Oddly enough, I was discussing banshees with a bus kid just half an hour ago.  It was the one I gave the old laptop yesterday.  I told her that her iPod could be accessed through a program already on there, called Banshee.  Then I had to explain what the program did (kind of like Windows Media player, only better) and what a banshee was.

In other news, the chocolate dip went over very well.  All the kids liked it and it was a lot less mess than I expected.  It set me back a bit for strawberries (THE best thing to dip in chocolate) but it was good.  Of course all the kids couldn't crowd around at once, so they took turns based on who had given me the least amount of trouble between today and the last time we had a party.  Sis. Alexis has been helping out a lot, so her trouble balance was actually in the negative, so she went first.

The crazy intense miserable pain is back in my left leg. I just need some sleep! It's crazy not even sure how I hurt that leg.
