Must be why it's so sunny here.  They're driving all the storms to wherever this forum is hosted on whatever server.

Me, I've been keeping fairly busy today.  The thing I said I was going to try, I tried, and it seems to be turning out well.  Also I went to get a haircut and raided a couple of thrift shops for old CDs and cassettes.  At the price they had I got all the christian groups I had never heard of (and some I had heard and knew I liked.)  Wound up with more than 20 cassettes to run off to computer (if I like them) and more than 10 CDs for about $32 all told.   Now I'm about to take a shower and get all this cut hair off me while the thing I am trying is baking.  After the thing I'm trying is done I'll go to the church and vacuum, then type the bulletin for tomorrow.  And I still can't see what I'm typing so I hope it turns out with no typos...

"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

If you ever come up with anything by a group called The Waiting, let me know.

Nah, still waiting for that.

What do they sing?  Link to some examples?

Christian Rock stuff...if your idea of perfect music involves choirs and you never listen to K-LOVE, please dont click on these.  :ugly:

http://youtu.be/SU7fGZMFRcM  Hands in the Air

http://youtu.be/TCq2IIL92TM  Unfazed

http://youtu.be/qW8b_zxOa2A  Number 9.  Probably my favorite lyrically...

http://youtu.be/f5-mjD19A68  Beautiful Blood...good one too.

http://youtu.be/pvVMaIcGY4c  Staring at a Bird.  Actual music video.

http://youtu.be/BrrzNqf3JRk  Never Dim.  Concept music video.

Anyways, they were my favorite band when I was going though college.  They were like the anti-rock band rock band.  All of the guys were clean cut, lived good lives, ect.

Plus, you could understand what they were singing.

My idea of perfect music is anything where the singer actually knows and feels what he is singing about.  I have heard secular music that sounds better than some christian, even some southern gospel or choir, because the secular singer was singing about something he cared about where the christian singer was singing something he thought would sell an album.  Mind you I stick to christian music, but it's all kinds of different styles.

My idea of perfect music is something that comes from the heart, sung about God or to God.  I have found this in every style of christian music I have ever heard.  Thus I have many different styles in my collection.

Speaking of which, ever heard of Pete Orta?  Found a CD of his last week in the thrift store, "Born Again."  Not bad.

And by the way, I said I would tell you what I was trying out today if it turned out well.  It did turn out well, so I'll tell you what it was.  Whole wheat sourdough cinnamon rolls.

I like to make sourdough cinnamon rolls, I like to eat them, but all that white flour gums up my guts.  I can't eat more than one at a time.  On the other hand I could eat 8 peaches or drink a half gallon of grape juice with no trouble, so I guess it's all in what you're used to.    So these are whole wheat, they just came out of the oven and they are gooooood!

Buncha weirdos.  :smirk2:

Went to town and got chicken feed and such, etc.  Came home and hauled a hay bale up to the cows without getting killed.....  Went to the church and worked a bit....  Came home and went to church for church.  Crowd was terribly short, but we had the Azars, missionaries from Lebanon.

Home....eating...or just finished eating anyways...I have to tend the fowl...they're probably starving to death and dying of thirst.

Chseeads

The 12 year old looking kid, his dad, brother, and brother's gf all showed up for a while.....and I tended fowl....and I fell down on the hill by the garage.

Could use some prayers. Preaching in the morning. Really feeling this message but, also feeling inadequate to do it justice. Pray God takes over and uses my inadequacies. I also have an assignment due tomorrow that is stressing me A LOT. Pray I get it done and do well.

Thanks for the prayers in advance.

Home from church. Good service this morning.

Now I need to get a LAN Technologies assignment done before church tonight. Pray for me. I need sleep badly and I'm really feeling the lack of it today. I need some focus.
