What is your favorite story about God at work in your life?

At any point in my life or at this point in my life?

I would have to say it's my Job experience. Some of you know my story of my health issues that have spanned basically the last 10 years of my life. I wont rehash all of that here because to be frank I don't feel like typing all of it or even talking about some of it. I have tried to face them head on and keep going.

Through all of it I stayed in church I tried not to question God, but I can't honestly say I have been completely successful with that. I never really considered that this was actually something that was happening for a reason that God allowed these things to happen so a work could be done in my life and maybe the life of someone else. I was just dealing with it the best way I could think of and that was by letting God be God.

I had never compared my life to Job and to me it still seems strange to me to call it my Job experience, and I don't call it that because I think I am some great person or I'm someone you should try to be like. If you know me that is so far from the truth. i don't think I'm much of anything really.

Last August or September I got a message from a friend of my late wife. I never talked to this lady really she was on my FB friends list mainly because my wife suggested her. She isn't an Apostolic and as far as I know has never been to an Apostolic church. She wrote me a thank you note. I was shocked by it to say the least. She wrote me a note to thank me for living out the biblical example of Job in front of her. I was floored by that. For years all I saw myself doing was just fighting to face each day and make the best out of it. Out of the blue here comes this lady who knew way more about me then I did about her, and she thanks me for it. I didn't know how to react to that then and I still don't. I don't feel like I'm an example of anything except maybe a weirdo most days.

Well, September 19th I lost my entire world as far as I was concerned then. For once I could honestly say I felt like Job. My family was gone, my best friend was gone, and I felt like my health had already been taken from me. I could relate to Job at that point probably better then any other person in scripture. Then there was that note thanking me for living out the example of Job. See, to me that note became something of a promise right then. It placed the last 10 years of my life and especially that month of September in a new perspective. Job lost it all but because he was faithful to God he was restored. Not just restored but he was blessed beyond measure. So I'm determined to stay faithful to the best of my ability, and one day maybe not in the earthly realm but one day I will be restored.

So a note I thought was so off the wall at the time I received it was actually not a woman that I had been some great example to but it was the word I needed for the trial I was about to face. I realize now that it had very little to do with me being an example to her, but was God ministering to me through her.

Proverbs 25:11    A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

This is the first time I have even spoken about this really to anyone. This was very hard for me to put into words in more ways then one, but I hope it makes since. If it doesn't I'm sorry.

My favorite pie is probably Apple Pie with Ice cream. However I was told during the formation of a recent agreement that someone in Texas could give people a "Sweet Potato Pie Revelation". I do like sweet potato pies as well.
:laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard: :laughhard:

I have a couple of pairs of work and hiking boots. I don't however have a pair of cowboy boots, mainly because when you wear a size 16 to 18 shoe (according to what company makes them) it's hard to find a decent priced cowboy boot.

I've never been outside the US. However I have been to the southern border several times. I was even stopped and carded by border patrol several times. Now that may not seem strange unless you were to see me. If you couldn't tell by seeing me if you heard me talk just once you would know exactly where I'm from. I think I have at least 3 witnesses to this fact on GP.
:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

If it's green and leafy I'm probably allergic to it. Winter is my favorite season because all the plants die.  I'm also highly allergic to bee stings and curry. Have to carry a EpiPen around with me for those 2.

I tried to teach myself guitar. However I was asked by several people to quit. LOL
I use to be able to play the spoons though. :P

Have you been the recipient of any brownies yet from a certain unnamed ecstatic participant in the Care Package Agreement of 2010?

Do you hike or ride bike?

Any pets?

Pop or Soda?

If someone gave you $1,000 and asked you to kill a butterfly by burning it alive in the flame of candle, would you do it?

If you could take a year off an go travelling, where would it be?

If you were a car, what kind of car would you be?

If you could travel through time and meet yourself when you were a kid, what would you say?

Ever heard Adventures in Odyssey.. if so, what is your favorite episode, and character... and your least favorite...?

If you could be any cartoon character, who would you be?

What would be the title of your autobiography?

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Nope can't say that I have.
  :laughhard: :laughhard:

Do you hike or ride bike?

I take walks. Not really a lot of place to hike around here. I love riding bikes but I haven't owned one in several years so I don't ride much.

Any pets?

Nope, but I would love to have another dog.

Pop or Soda?

Neither! It's called COKE! In the south regardless of the brand it's a coke.

If someone gave you $1,000 and asked you to kill a butterfly by burning it alive in the flame of candle, would you do it?

Would you?

If you could take a year off an go traveling, where would it be?

Through all 50 states. Especially, California, Montana, and Alaska. Made a promise to myself a long time ago about California. It still bothers me that I lived in AZ for so long and never made it to the neighboring state.

If you were a car, what kind of car would you be?

Easy a 57 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop! I would be Fire Engine Red!

If you could travel through time and meet yourself when you were a kid, what would you say?

Follow your dreams regardless of what people tell you.

Ever heard Adventures in Odyssey.. if so, what is your favorite episode, and character... and your least favorite...?

Yes I know the show and of course Whit is my favorite character. I don't really have a favorite episode. I know of one I really don't like but can't remember the name, I think he ran an electronics store.

If you could be any cartoon character, who would you be?

Mr.Lunt

What would be the title of your autobiography?

Laugh it's not that bad.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Poor College Student!!

well then...

what good is it to ask questions if you are going to skirt around them?

when are you competitive?

what is something you only need once in a lifetime?

what is the best thing about living alone?

what is the best way to lose everything you have?

what good is it to ask questions if you are going to skirt around them?

I have only skirted 2 questions... lol

when are you competitive?

When it comes to football I get competitive even if I'm only watching.

what is something you only need once in a lifetime?

That's a question that has many answers for me. So I don't even know where to start. I guess I'll go with my sense of humor and say, I could use a billion dollars once in my lifetime.  Once I have that billion I want need another one.

what is the best thing about living alone?

The being alone part is sometimes the best, but a lot of times it's also the worst.

what is the best way to lose everything you have?

Give it away!
