What exactly is a "Date"? What defines it?

So what defines a "real date" exactly?

The guy asks a girl to go somewhere with him, and he pays for everything.

The girl asks the guy to take her somewhere and makes him pay for it all.
1 (8.3%)
A guy gets his friend to ask a girl to meet them at a conference, and go out to eat afterward.

Anything that involves gazing at the stars

The drier the better.  If they resemble a prune, that's a good sign.

When a girl wears a guy down until he finally says, "okay; fine.  Let's go somewhere"

I picked out 1 and 7, and one other... guess... lol

Number 8 in my mind isn't really a date... it is a wedding... lol   :teeth:

But I have seen from older couples, one that have been married for over 20 yrs... that it is important to keep "dating" after the wedding... to get dressed up and go to dinner, and do all the things they did while dating...  :grin:

Well yes... it is "The Date"... but I cant say that it always seems to be the best date... lol... all the stress involved in planning a wedding which should be for the couple being married, but unfortunately... many couple are overly stressed due to their overzealous family...   :teeth:

When we were dating, we weren't in church. We used to go out after work with a crowd from our offices. We didn't dress up to go out at all, that I can remember. And we still go out without dressing up much. I really don't have any dress clothes since I gained weight. So it's a good thing. We go out, we go traveling, we go out and get food to bring home to eat. We go for walks, etc.

It's not the DATING thing as much as finding time to be together. 

What happens to some marriages, is the wife wraps her whole life around her kids and leaves her husband out of things, then when the kids are gone, she doesn't even know him.  You HAVE to find time to spend alone together to keep from ending up like roommates.

The first date with my wife was a trip to a Mexican restaurant after church.

The second date was all day, a trip to a zoo, a drive in the country and her favorite restaurant.
