If you want to call it "babysitting" you can.  :-)

I prefer to call it "hanging out with really cool kids and having a whole lot of fun."

But last night I took him home a few hours before his mom was ready to leave the hospital and got him ready for bed.

One of the highest compliments I have ever received was when a mother told me how much she trusted me with her infant.  I almost cried when she said she rested easy when she knew I had the baby because she knew it was in good hands.

Some of the highest unspoken compliments I've ever received:

Slobbery baby kisses
A little baby's hand patting my shoulder gently as he was about to nod off to sleep
A not-quite-two-year-old crying to get in my cruiser-mobile
A 15-month old toddling up to the altar before church to kneel down beside me and look into my face then say "lalulah!" and lay down on the floor beside me
A 2 and a half year old in my arms asking to pray for his daddy at altar time
