Hmm..Lady Elona, you DO seem to be 'flirting with' being stressed by this issueof flirting..hmmm.. maybe an investigation is in order? :)

lol  Astute observation, but perhaps not in order as much as it seems.

Most of it is that I'm trying to be prepared for next time because I just did the whole botched friendship thing AGAIN.

I wasn't interested.  I was just ME.  He liked ME.  I wasn't interested.  I hurt him.  I felt guilty.  I wasn't interested.  I was nice.  I was me.  Did I mention that I wasn't interested?  *sigh*  He was a nice guy, but I felt safe with him because of several factors that I thought put him "off limits."  I was flattered by his attention.  Did I mention that I hurt him?  Did I mention that I wasn't interested?   :sadbounce:  I think my problem this time was that I allowed my self to flirt back and kind of hope for something that just wasn't going to work, and he got even MORE interested.

MelodyB

Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

RainbowJingles

Thanks, Mel.

*sigh*

Did I mention that I feel guilty?
Did I mention that I should have run when I realized he was getting interested?
Did I mention that I ignored the signs that he was flirting and chalked them up to "lonesome person syndrome"?

Although it may not help much, I would point out that

1) You never meant to hurt him.
2) Human relationships are never an exact science..and
3) We are all only human, and prone to failure at times.

Dear Grump... Why is it that when i read RJ's posts i feel like i wrote them?

Dear Mr. Grumpye,

Why is it that the so-called Grumpyest of the Grumpye, a.k.a. Head of the GOB Council, can so often hit the nail on the head with observations about relationships?

And how come the GP populace has yet to see his grumpye side, if he's truly as grumpye as all that?

Wonderful Ladies often have the same problems, and the same thoughts in many other areas.

1) My extreme Grumpyeness allows me to see things clearly.

2) My Grumpyeness is in evidence..it's just that some of you Ladoes are too sweet-natured to be able to see it!

Was kinda surprised when I started posting on GP, that he called himself Grumpy!!  LOL

If you could accomplish only one thing in the rest of your life, what would it be?
Religion is worthless until it is able to move outside the walls.

Not much, I'm pretty observant..een though I indeed am the Grumpyest of the Grumpye!  :thumbsup2:

OK, I say that, and in many cases, I am very very observant. However, there are times that I miss stuff, as I suppose we all do..but even though I often don't show a response to it, I _think_ I'm pretty observant about things.

Please congratulate him from me on the fine job he's doing as police chief. We are too far away to get the Joplin station..do you know what theur call letters are (like KOTV, KTUL,) or what number ht echannel is? I might pull gtheir website and catch some of it.

A couple of years ago, I had a guy from a radio outfit that was looking for a news director for a 5,000 watta AM in Joplin, and a friend of mine who's news director at a big Tulsa station recommended me..I didn't pursue it, though.

He was supposed to be on KODE, but I've been checking their website an it hasn't been on yet.  Don't know if it made TV last night or not (since we don't have one.)

Have you ever taken dance lessons?

What's your favorite newspaper?

What's your favorite Broadway musical?

Newsman

Lady Melody,

1) Not formal ones
2) Tulsa World, of the two I write for, but as a humorous e-mail circulated once I saw about what the newspaper you read says about you, I am quite fond of the occasional USA Today (if I had the leisure time, I'd read it every day.) BTW, the humor e-mail said something about the USA Today was for people who liked their news with pie charts.. :)
3) Umm..I never think of a play in relation to it being/having been on Broadway..and I'm not into musicals either. the last play I saw put n by a live theater group that I actually went because I wanted to was a medieval Shakespearean production..
