that depends on what you call the first paperback book?

In the 1800's you had the penny dreadfuls and then the dime novels later in the century

In the early 1900's you have the pulp books

and the modern paperbacks become popular in the 1930's

Penguin Publishing likes to brag that they printed the first one in 1935

Scott,

Do you or have you ever had a tubist playing in a group you are/were in?

John  :waving:

We have a great tuba player this season, we miss the one who left last year, but he joins on occasion and we will have two.

That sounds cool! I played through high school, and a bit in college..I'd like to buy one and get back somewhat in practice..but they tend to be pretty expensive for a non-essential item. At one point in my life, I planned to play professionally.

I forgot you said you played tuba, John. You said something long time ago.

Stevebert used to play at the university as an alumnus. They don't mind community people filling in. They never have enough students for their bands or orchestras.

SippinTea

Scott,

What would you think of someone who played Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy with a cello? Or Little Drummer Boy with a trombone?

:beret:

The cello would be fun to see, YO  YO Ma might be able to do it, the Drummer can be played on the Trombone if the part is put in Bass Clef and the Key of B flat would be the easiest.

Using the phrase that you did, it almost limits this to boxing, but I will respond as sporting event.

;)

It would have to be any game in which the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings or Boston Red Sox Lost - because I would enjoy it so much.

Finger prints are unique because each person has their own finger print and no two people have the same.   Not even Identical twins.

Fingerprints occur when you touch a surface that will retain them and the bodily secretions such as oils leave them. The print themselves are from the friction ridges in your hands.

Scott, have you ever been to Hell? Was it hot there? What did it look like?

Yes I have twice.  Both times it was a very pleasant experience.

It is a small town in Michigan

Then there was one in the Cayman Islands

There was even a Pentecostal church in Hell!  I don't have that picture sad to say.
