As far as married life, we are still doing well.  We were even able to put up with the in-laws fairly well over the Christmas season lol.  We are getting very excited about becoming parents, and so far everything is going very well.  We had a bit of a scare a couple weeks ago though.  I came home from work to find Tyler curled up on the bathroom floor with abdominal pain.  After a weekend at the hospital he was getting back to normal, minus his appendix.  Although it was a stressful (and painful for him) experience, it did give us the opportunity to see the hospital where our child will be born.  The way Tyler was treated put me at ease about the hospital as well. Everyone was very nice and treated us really well.

Anywho, we are going back in about two weeks to have an ultrasound and hopefully find out if we are having a girl or boy.  We already picked out names, so we're good to go on that front lol.  Girl: September Grace  Boy: Liam Lohrenz

We are going today to look at a town home so we can have a little more space once the little one arrives.  Hopefully we will find something we like soon.  We don't have a whole lotta time left lol.

I like the name September...especially since she's commemorating your marriage month! :)

Well, we finally got to buy a few little things for the baby today.  We are taking a "Baby Basics" class later this month and we had to buy a washcloth and towel, gown, receiving blanket and side-snap undershirt to use on the baby doll.  I didn't really think anything about it until we got home and I opened the undershirts.  O my goodness, they are so cute.  They are tiny little shirts, and it reminds me how little she is going to be when she is born.  *sigh*  There is another couple at church that just had their baby last month and I got to hold her yesterday.  My heart just melted and I can't wait to hold our baby.  The cutest thing is that I let Tyler pick out the hooded towel, and he got one with a pink crown stitched on the hood that says "Princess".  And he has started talking to her LOL.

I didn't know at first how we would handle becoming parents so soon after getting married, but I think that it is actually bringing us closer than we have ever been.  I'm not saying that we don't disagree on some things (especially with me being pretty moody lately), but I know there is no where else I would rather be.  God really does know what we can handle and the direction our life should take a whole lot better than we do.  And when I look into our little girls eyes for the first time, I'm sure I'll wonder why we ever wanted to wait in the first place lol.

And then she'll start to grow up, and you'll come to realize why some animals eat their own young.  :)

Sis

What's awsome is the little shirts look so cute, but they might even be too big for the baby. Then you realize just how tiny your little one really is.

I guess you need this smiley, I offered it in another thread.

Geri

Well, Tyler and I have passed the 6-month mark (7 actually).  And amazingly we still love each other lol.

Tyler has an interview next month with the Pipefitters Union, so we're praying that everything works out with that.  We have been living on my salary since September and it's been fine for the two of us, but probably wouldn't work for three lol.  Poor Tyler has been trying so hard to find work out here, but it looks like everything is going to work out now :-D.

Well, the baby will be at full term in 5 weeks, so we are crossing our fingers that she will wait that long.  I have a Dr appointment Wednesday and the Dr told me that based on her test results and my blood pressure, she may move up my due date (mostly because of my blood pressure).

We found a new apartment with a little more space, so I'm super excited about that!  It's a three bedroom with a washer and dryer in the unit, and it's not around road construction! Hallelujah!!

My MIL is throwing us a baby shower this weekend.  I'm excited to go home and see everyone again, but I'm not looking forward to the 4 hour car ride with a lil munchkin kicking me to death lol.

My mom and dad are exstatic about the baby.  My mom honestly didn't think that we would have children soon enough for her to be sane/alive enough to play with them, although she is only 60.

Well, I guess that's all the update I have now.  I will hopefully have new ultrasound pictures in a month, depending on wether the insurance will pay for it or not lol.

Geri

Envelope

a LOT (not all) of dr's will kind of "fudge" a  little on the reason for an Ultrasound, so that insurance will pay.........I guess maybe that's a secret......but I'll let the cat out of the bag..................

so maybe you will get pics..........LOL

I can't wait to see the pics!!!

Geri

I wanted to go ahead and post the first ultrasound pictures even though they are a few months old  :biglaugh:

They show up a bit big, but I didn't want to take the time to crop them down lol.

Awwww... I miss being pregnant!
That was the easy part, it's learning how to deal with the new little munchkin that's challenging! (but oh, so worthwhile!)

Chseeads

Based on that first picture, it looks like you're having either an alien, a penguin, a butternut squash, or a bowling pin.

Congrats!

If you said that to me when I was pregnant you might've gotten slapped.  :laughhard:

I'm pregnant too - (did you see my thread in Parenting??) - and just today, I told my mother "Realistically, all newborns look a bit like aliens - it's really RARE to have a cute newborn. Babies don't get cute until they're 3-6 months" lol - I don't know if I'll think different when my baby is born, but I still think that babies look kinda funny ;) lol

Geri

I agree to a point nicolejoy (and CONGRATULATIONS!!! by the way :-D).

However, we saw some videos in Lamaze and when they cleaned up the babies and gave them to their mommas, and the babys were just laying there looking at their parents, they are so cute! My heart just melted! I do think that the seemingly HUGE eyes in that tiny little head are a bit disturbing at first  :o LOL.

Little bit of an update.  I went to the doctor Yesterday and she said that my blood pressure is actually better than on my last visit so if that continues she isn't going to move my due date at all.  Yippee!!   Also, the little one is about 4 lbs now and stretching like she is getting ready to run a marathon.  I'm probably going to have a permanent iimprint of the shape of her lil hiney on my tummy forever lol  Ah well, at least I know she is healthy and mobile lol.
