I realize now while Roscoe denied liking Fords, he was leading a double life, thinking no one would notice.

HE IS A FORD LOVER.

LIES! ALL LIES, SPREAD BY MY ENEMY!  YOU HAVE NO PROOF.

An exception is made, including, but not limited to, any Ford made prior to 1957, all first series (1964-1966) Mustangs, and the Ford GT/ GT40 - not mustang gt- that I never could afford. Otherwise, all lies.

Go ahead and tell us what cars you and Lou own...I know you have a Ford lurking in there.

1. 1946 CHEVROLET TRUCK "Rusty"
2. 1956 Studebaker- made by Studebaker Motors, never owned or near Ford
3. 2005 Cadillac- GM, see?
4. 2006 Canyon- GMC
5. 1992 Oldsmobile- gm, mama's car, non running
6. 1966 Dodge truck -future project
7. 1963 Dodge truck- first vehicle
8. 1986 Corvette -

Nary a Ford in the bunch. Even the nonrunning vehicles are not four letter cars. To my knowledge, there has never been a Ford owned by me, or even seriously considered. I got close with the Miata, since Ford and Mazda have a working relationship, but I repented and moved it on down the road...

Yet my '97 Ford Windstar runs well.  As did my Ford Escort, before I used it as a battering ram to take out a light pole.

Now, look at this:

QuoteMost historians know the ironic story of the Cadillac, how it ultimately started out a Ford,
LINK

QuoteCadillac was formed from the remnants of the Henry Ford Company when Henry Ford departed along with several of his key partners and the company was dissolved.
LINK

What happened was a group of investors went together, hired Henry Ford to start a business, known as the Henry Ford Company.  He did.  He was not the best manager in the world, and when the thing started going downhill, they fired him.  He sued for his name, and they renamed the business Cadillac.

So all in all, Roscoe drives a Ford Cadillac...

Bah. They FIRED him and changed the name to avoid the stigma. :laughhard:

And if you trace it back, many of the car manufactures of the early 1900s were intwined with each other, especially Ford. The dodge brothers worked for him, ransome e olds had two car companies- reo and oldsmobile- just about all the american companies dealt with Ford. While I'm not a huge fan of fords in general, he basically birthed the automobile. And the assembly line.

Well I AM a Ford and I still work ok.
My Grandmother's maiden name was FORD..
I'm surrounded by the whole Ford family, somewhere out there is a rich guy selling my family name, when I find him I will likewise be rich.

All joking aside, you need to find Ford: The Men and the Machine and read it.  Ford is...interesting...

As much as I give Bro Papa grief over his Ford, I do have to admit that  it has impressed me. his is a 99 model, diesel, with over 200k on it and runs and looks like new. I wouldn't push a diesel F250 out of my garage, that's for sure.

Kymbir has me thinking. Brandon's mom's side is all Fords. My dad's family is Browning's. I should have some rich uncle about to kick it out there somewhere......hmmm.....

Our cars are split. 2 Hondas. 2 Chevys. Granted if I had my way I'd have a Nissan Xterra or Frontier

I have a Nissan Frontier, 2000, with the railing on top and of COURSE it's 4x4... I love mud riding.
But, my dad is now using the truck for work purposes.
