You know, I was there for her first birth, but i would say watching your child go down in a watery grave of baptism (in Jesus name) beats the natural birth all to pieces.

I wonder if we made a wax figure of Mini, and then melted it, if we'd get Roscoe... -MellerYeller

It was an awesome event!  I was so excited when she decided that she wanted to be baptized.  After she mentioned it to me and her daddy, she asked everyday if daddy had talked to Bro. Hanson.  Then last Monday when we set the date for yesterday, she began counting down the days.  My Mamaw was able to attend the service with us, the Lord really blessed her too.

Thats awsome! My daughter got baptized almost a year ago (she's seven). Why is it more exciting to see kids receive the Holy Ghost and get baptized than adults? Is that wrong? Am I the only one that feels that way?

I think it was Billy Sunday who once said, in speaking of his outreach efforts,
"Today 2 and a half souls were saved."

To which the hearer responded (and I paraphrase because I don't recall all the details),
"I see.  So 2 adults and one child were saved?"

"No.  2 children and one adult."

"Surely you don't mean that an adult is a half of a person??"

"Well, as I see it, those children have their full lives ahead of them in which they can serve the Lord.  That adult has only about half of his life left."

I don't think it's a wrong feeling at all to be excited to see children coming to the Lord.  Get excited!  :-D

*lump in my throat and tears in my eyes* How wonderful.

I'll be glad when mine get baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. My son is 11 and shows no signs of being interested. He loves church, God and our pastor, but doesn't pray during altar call or anything. My daughter is 8 and also shows no interest. I pray everynight that they'll receive the Holy Ghost while they're still little. Definitely before the terrible teens. lol But so far, nothing, nada, zilch. :(
When you say "Jesus" you've said everything.
