Mine was an Apple as well...but I dont know what version. I was in Kindergarden.

The IBM 1130



Before PC Networking became popular in the Mid to late 1990's, main frame systems was king.  The IBM 1130 was a great system to learn on.  Our Vo Tech had one in our computer class, we all had to learn to use and fix it

I vagely remember using some kind of apple computer in 3rd grade to play word munchers.  That would have been around 1989.

Screen?  All was printed on Green Bar paper, you could however run cables to a green screen terminal or connect via direct phone modem link.

This system was out of date when I learned on it. Our disks were larger than a hub cap.

Word munchers was fun, especially trying not to get eaten by them trolls and the cartoon's they had between games.  do they still put that game out?

At one time I had a Tandy computer.  I believe it was an apple and ran on a dos operating system.  I'm so glad I upgraded.  I couldn't use it to type up my reports for school because the smallest font I could use was too big.  I think I was in high school before we got rid of it.  Maybe 9th grade.

   That was the top of the line when I started college in the early 80's, one of our guys ' father worked at Texas INstruments. I remember either when or just before the Commodore 64 came out.

   Until  about three years ago, I was using a mid-90's PC for word processing and playing golf..the printer attached to it was wayyy older..I first saw the printer in 1989 as an ABC Datawire printer. the video card finally gave out on the comp, but the printer was still working..I have it stored in the alcove in my office, alng iwith much scarier stuff! I could even still locally buy ribbons for that printer (Citizen 120D) as of when the comp went belly-up!  :thumbsup2:
