Title: Baby Wisdom for Ruby
Post by: Melody on November 29, 2012, 03:41:59 PM
Ruby Darling is fast approaching her last trimester and it seems a great idea to pass along wisdom and information we have all aquired over the years.

It's all fun for about the first six months... then the poo-poo begins to have some odor in it.  Then it's no longer fun, it's a big mess.

*giggle* I'm liking the idea of stuffing baby in a backpack for easy carrying, and also using the garden hose for bathtime. ;)

There were times in Cheyenne's early life that a car wash nozzle would've been more appropriate. If you could bottle the "sticky" properties of some of a baby's, um, functions, you'd have a bond stronger than welding... :laughhard:

And I thought more than once that a young (3 month old) Cheyenne would fit in my Harley's saddlebags. Lou refused to let me try it.... :sadbounce:

*grin* Mahvelous.

I thought up a lovely name for our baby if it's a girl. :bigcheese: Ya ready for this?

First name: Hope
Middle name: Leslie

Put it all together with our last name, and think in terms of mad gab if you're still not getting it. :bigcheese:

Cheese - *nods wisely* Yes. Yes, we could.
Mel - For the moment. *grin* Chris's poor mother is horrified at the nickname. Oops! *sheepish grin*

If the kid is an only child, he has to be more direct.

My sister is going through that right now with her 2 month old.  Lol. She is trying to just roll with Lily's sleeping since it evolves. That works best for her but it's hard not to 2nd guess herself and try and have more control in order to accomplish more things she used to be able to stay on top of.  That's when she gets frustrated and then so does Lily and she just goes with the flow again until she gets to feeling unproductive again...  Hehehe

I have tried really hard to stifle giggles a number of times.  Mostly the day after coming home with her my sister was telling me her routine.  3 Days old and her "routine."  :D
