Title: Doctors don't have a sense of humor
Post by: Scott on June 12, 2012, 06:04:03 AM
I  was in the pain clinic today, going through their program

Week one examined by a shrink and an MD

week 2, 3, 4, 5 you attend classes taught by a Physical therapist and a Shrink

Week 6,7, and 8 one on one sessions with a shrink

Week 9 the MD

Week 10 Finally you get to start Physical therapy.

Today I was in Week 6 with the pain shrink.  I passed with flying colors and he canceled weeks 7 and 8. ( I play a wind instrument - I already know breathing techniques and since I am a musician I use music to relax - so they cancel two sessions  YAY)

He looked at me like I was a terrible person when I answered this query "What types of things to you do to relax and unwind?"

Me: "I shoot guns"

He didn't like the answer to this one either:'' I know that with Chronic Pain it is hard to sleep at night, do you want me to Hypnotize you?"

I said "NO, I want you to teach me how to Hypnotize people, I think that would be a pretty cool thing to do".

It was then that he told me I didn't need to come back to see him.
