What I'd really like to know is... why is Cheese murdering quail?
And another thing I'd really like to know is... why are there stomping noises coming from the bathroom? :eyebrow: Households with boys are full of strange things. Just sayin'...
:beret:
SippinTea: If the noise is coming from the bathroom, you're already too late. It has happened and the only thing to do now is paddle some tails and clean up the mess.
Gone to work, ciao for now. Hope we get more overtime tonight, I could use it for the thrift shops GP meet-up trip.
Yay! New thread!
:eyebrow:
:offtopic:
I had just took a batch of quail out of the incubator, along with turkeys and ducks.... Was putting things in brooders in the garage and doing stuff....didn't have the quail a place to go yet, so they were in their bucket..and they acted cold...and I stuck them under a heat lamp....well...it wasn't that close to them and didn't seem that hot, but by golly in just a little bit they were passing out from heat stroke....*sigh* So lost over half of them. Ugh. And in the meanwhile I had been on the phone with a guy wanting to order 250 of them. Blah.
Aw, I'm sorry. :-(
It's very very sad.
:headrub:
If they were bigger, cheese, I'd say they be a good dinner. :smirk: I didn't realize they were that delicate.
And in sharing- I have accomplished something today. I have finally gotten rusty's head off. Never again. I will police a few more hours and let someone else handle that....
BIRD murderer!!!! :noo:
Thats what they call me when fried chicken is invovled. :ugly:
Went to WM. almost opened fire on some ppl in the pharmacy. Took FOREVER. By the time I got up there it took ME all of about 30 seconds to drop off Dads prescription, but apparently took the guy ahead of me 20 minutes. Then they told him that ONE of his meds would cost $2,000.00 without his insurance. He said "If you charging me that much it better be a bunch of CRACK!" the pharmacy tech laughed and laughed and had to go back and tell EVERYONE while I stood in the line and waited some more. Sheesh.
Got a strawberry cake in the oven for the ladies meeting tomorrow. And I'm debating making those raw brownies tonight. I wanna try them.
I have an interview in the morning!
Where at?

As of now his foot is worse. Saw the Dr yesterday, and they want to amputate the toes, but he has to have a heart cath done before then, and some other tests before they will operate. So he sees the Dr again on Monday, and they will make a decision then. If he had of stayed in the ER on Thursday night, it's likely that all these tests and things would have been done by now and he could be recovering, but now we are still waiting.
I got my cake all done, and I did actually make those brownies. I haven't eaten any yet. They are in the freezer, I'll try tomorrow. I'm headed to sleep now.
Overtime again tonight. More money for the trip.
Mel, did I post the recipe or did you get it off Pinterest? If they are too anything, just adjust your ratios. The first time I made them, they were great in flavor and consistancy but felt a little oily. My walnuts were quite fresh I guess so all the times I've made them after that, I've used a little less walnuts and a little more cocoa. The pinch of sea salt is crucial. Sometimes I've added the almonds, sometimes I pressed the almonds in the top, sometimes I've pressed the brownies into a thin lay of ground almonds like a crust.
Oh my goodness, the key lime cheesecake I made on Saturday for Sunday turned out great! This is significant cause I tried my hand at cheesecake years ago and totally failed and haven't tried again for years. I had to make my own lime curd which was fun. And instead of graham cracker crust I did like I've done with the brownies and used ground almonds instead.
You posted the recipe.
:waving:

Howdy. Just checking in.
They may take my dads whole foot off, the circulation is cut off in the middle of his shin. It's not official yet. God is able to heal it. If they do take it, it will still be in a couple of weeks away. Seems to me they would want to hurry and do it, but no, we have to wait.
*UGH*
I'm so sorry Mel. :sadbounce:

Seeing people's tattoo fails make me feel so much better about myself. I am so far from perfect, make grammar mistakes endlessly, but oh my goodness, at least I'm not putting them permanently on my skin! LOL I may have bad hair days, occasional acne, weight gain, but at least I don't have to wake up and deal with this every day...

Mel, where I seen that, some thought it was a Tattoo troll that did it. Which from what I gather is a tattoo artist that does their own thing reguardless of what the customer wants. Someone even wondered if the guy wanted another scripture, like about homosexuality maybe, and the tattoo artist was gay... Who knows. I can't imagine someone being so rebellious as to get that to tell God, "in your face." But the world isn't short on idiots... lol
Meller, all your talk about tattoos has scared poor Roscoe off...hes afraid someone might ask him what kind of tattoo he has...
Oh no Roscoe! It's ok. We will love you just the same if you're Nemo tattoo is now a Tiger whale, or your Tweety Bird is now Big Bird. Or Or even if your tribal barbed wire arm ring is now a gated community.

And man, you are vicious today. What did Nathan slip into your brownies?!?
Seriously, while I don't condone tattos because of the scripture listed earlier, I understand the allure of some. I nearly got a Harley emblem tatoo years ago, until my backslidden sister heard about it, went searching and brought me that scripture. That, coupled with my fear of needles, kept me tatoo free.
I
do know several folks in their twenties that look like complete thugs with all their tats, but are really good kids. Can't help but wonder sometimes if they will regret them...

And cook dinner Saturday.

I am fervently washing clothes, and cleaning up the house some. I have been slacking in the laundry department and everything I have and ALLLLLLL the towels and washcloths are dirty. So that's my goal today, get all the laundry caught up. I just cleaned out the fridge and declared that tonight is leftover night. No cooking. Eat what you find. :) there is hamburgers, steak, macaroni salad, broccoli, and turnip greens and sweet potatoes that are left over. It's shouldnt be hard to find something good to eat today.
My oldest brother and my niece may be coming this weekend to see dad before he loses his leg/foot. So this house has to be ship shape for company too. I may make spaghetti while they are here, thats easy and good and will feed everyone without a lot of cooking. I can dump everything in the crockpot in the morning, and cook some noodles later and have a good meal.
Gonna be a crazy weekend. Please say a prayer for Dad.

It's a beautiful day here. Yesterday while doing yard work, we realized there are a bazillion strawberry plants scattered throughout the yard. That is why there are always birds everywhere! Here I am tending to my 2 tiny plants in a flower pot and they are going wild in the yard... LOL Unfortunately we HAVE to mow the grass all in between them so only tiny strawberries have shown.
I have a friend in Turkey that needs prayer, the police are giving them a hard time...
I would like to grill this giant salmon fillet today but I'm a little nervous. I don't want to over or undercook it.
Thanks. I truly appreciate the prayers of friends.
And I really appreciate this place. I can be stressed out and worried, but come here and enjoy a laugh and get caught up on everyone else's everyday stuff. It's nice to know that others go thru similar hardships, and even nicer to see that they don't last forever and that it does get better. This place has been my haven for years, and I'm glad I have a little spot to go to when I need to get away and just be REAL with other people who are also real. :)
I have phlegm...haha...grosssssssin' me out.
Makes me think of Achmed...
I'm at work....bored.
Four loads of laundry done already. Fixing to put the fifth in. Got the dishwasher going, and kitchen is nearly done. Headed now to find a box and clean some stuff out of the motorhome, then dad and I are taking it back to town to try to sell it again.

Neither of my cars are working again.
Went to work, came home, thank God that's over.....
Gotta get ready to go to church in a bit....need to go make sure the fowl are alright....
People aggravate me sometimes.
Mowed half the lawn, did yard work, hung laundry. Now I'm about to try this recipe... wish me luck that I don't ruin this practically 2ft long salmon fillet... lol
Headed to church in a few. If mom would hurry up. Lol
My brother just text me. He is coming on Sunday. Dont know if he is bringing Brittany or not.
Praying for your father, Lady Melody.

It has been an extremely stressful week and I love when God just injects himself into my life right when I need him. My Pastor's wife just text me earlier today to tell me she missed me and cared for me. I've felt so alone the last little bit. Then my friend Melissa text me to ask if I needed a ride to our Section 1 SFC rally tomorrow which will be at our church. (I haven't been in weeks due to car/family issues) I love that whenever we are running (whether intentional or not) God always steps in to block our path.
Or sticks His foot out, trips you, and laughs.... :P
Thanks for the prayers. Much appreciated.
Kimber did another pen tattoo on me today. I had my arm up on the back of the pew, so she drew a smiley face on the side of my hand.

Salmon was awesome last night. Thank the Lord I didn't ruin it! Nathan felt special.
Gloomy COLD day here. I do not like waking up to temps in the 40°s.
We are having a sectional sheaves for Christ benefit concert tomorrow. The colors to wear are base brown or tan with fuscia or teals. Well, I'm kinda of a plain dresser & don't have any of those colors for dressy. So I have to go to some stores today. I'm not an avid shopper. :(
The ridiculous thunder and lighting that seemed to be RIGHT outside my window this morning about 5am woke me up!!! I had the window open...could be why it seemed louder.
I am stuffed. I just ate a big breakfast from McD!
MORNING!
I was awakened by a phone call from one of my best friends!! Talked for over an hour.
Mom and dad just left to go to pre-op, and wound care. Maybe we will find out something today. I'm headed to unload and reload the dishwasher and lay something out to cook for supper. Then I'll find some grub and watch a game show or something...or maybe NCIS. Who knows.
:hi:
Morning everyone!
work is going to be stupid today. i can feel it in my bones.
it was a very pleasant walk to work this am though. getting a ride home that way i'll have more time to get ready for our sheaves for christ rally at church.
MY-somehow our church colors so to say have become black and purple. so whenever we have anything like this going on our peoples usually end up wearing black and purple. lucky for me, i have alot of those colors.

Me too! I like black in general for dressiness and my favorite color is purple. Little girls dress up dolls, music leaders I believe enjoy dressing up the choir... lol
It must be sheaves for Christ season? Life is so much more enjoyable when we're involved in something much Bigger than ourselves and it doesn't get bigger than God.
In SHARING news, after dumping in all the new music I have recently acquired I have 4,732 tracks in my collection. So what did I do? I went to Corinth yesterday to get a 50 foot speaker cable, and wound up stopping at the Goodwill and a few thrift shops there.
Just what I need, MORE music.

Well, mom called me and said they were admitting dad to the hospital. The gangrene is all liquid and seeping around the bottom of his foot. They may take the whole foot off sooner than we thought. Im here in the ER with him now, mom wanted to go home, but while she was here, dads BP monitor was going crazy! The more she talked the higher it went. I told her that, and she finally left. The monitor went silent and hasn't made a peep since. It's quite humorous. Dad is blissfully asleep now, and I'm just chillin. Waiting for something to happen.
So sorry Mel.
Sad when you can't have peace even in the hospital. Glad he's at least resting now. Praying for y'all.
*HUGS* Mel
In other news, I had a song stuck in my head. It was driving me nuts. Completely. Thanks to the power of the internet, I now have the aforementioned song stuck in my coworkers head, and he is currently sitting in his office, screaming at the computer while cowering under his desk.
I feel much better now.
:ugly:
What was it, the Hamster Dance?
I wont tell...LOL
C'mon, now I gotta know! I won't have the same problem - I have music playing at work, and most of my 4,732 songs index-linked in my brain anyway (don't ask me how, I just do) so I don't have trouble with songs getting stuck in my head. I just cue up a different song.
Hes listening to it again...ROFLOL
I guess I forgot to say anything today.
We are still waiting on a room.
Hi! :hi:
Got up and went to my part time gig... hunting was good today. :freaky2: I'd been working all of thirty minutes before I'd written two tickets to people who were hauling butt through my little town. Really, people? I'm sitting in a marked unit, so visible Ray Charles could see me, and you STILL don't slow down?!? :pound:
Mini accused me of being ticked off when he heard... :laughhard: And in other sharing, Bro Papa has added a new menu item- a Black Angus Smoked Cheeseburger. Yes, I partook. Yes, I shall again- hopefully soon. One of the best cheeseburgers I've ever ate. :fork:

In the interest of sharing:
Had a lovely lazy day with my three men today. Chris was off work today, so we packed a picnic lunch and took off to head for the woods and the river. 'Twas mah-velous. :D Absolutely perfect weather today. And since I was with my bestest friend anyhow... well, it was pretty much a perfect day all 'round. :D
The not perfect thing is... I managed to REALLY put my back out of place a few days ago. As in, it is screaming bloody murder at me. Chris tried to take me in to the chiro today, but alas! he had taken an unexpected holiday, so the office was closed. I'll have to try again Monday, I guess. Unless God decides to put it back in place tonight while I sleep. Which would be wonderful. :)
:beret:
Oh yeah! Officer Bob!... I think I forgot to tell you, but... my boys are working on a comic. In which YOU are a featured star. I told them that when they're done with it, I'd like to photocopy it and send it to you so you can see it. They said that was fine. So. Barring any unforeseen difficulties or inappropriateness (hey, you never know with boys *grin*) I plan to send you some entertainment as soon as it is complete. :D

Ruby: Don't send it, POST it!
Roscoe: Is that new burger gonna be on the menu?
SHARING: This week at work has been slow on my end. Blah. I like to be busy when I'm getting paid to be there. If I were signing the paychecks and people were standing around waiting for parts to come off a line, I'd try to find something they could do in their spare time. In fact I have repeatedly asked for things to do while I'm waiting, as it seems like a massive inefficiency in progress here, but...
Oh well, it's not my factory and it's not my problem and I tried.

Today day I'm just gonna chill around the house. Cleaning. Watching my DVDs I got from TN ladies conference. Next year I'm definitely going!
Sippin Tea- Oh Lawd. Me the featured star? That'll be, um, interesting. :laughhard: I can't wait!
And Isaac, It'll be on the menu at his BBQ shack, but I hadn't planned on it at the Meat-up. Maybe something you'll have to run by on the way to Petit Jean and grab....
And in sharing- Chey and I are fixin' to load up in the Corvette and go to the library, and go to the hardware store to get a piece for the kitchen drain which decided to soak the floor last night. ....Today would be a perfect day for a Rusty ride, if he weren't temporarily dead. Lord, I miss driving him!

Sorry, amigo. We're at the library and I left it off while we are here...We'll be leaving in twenty minutes or so- I'll call you then. :thumbsup2:
So you said you would call him... What did you call him?
Oh, the things I called him....after he'd hung up, of course. He's a mite larger than I and still a bit close to get to wild with the insults. :laughhard:
And I is tarred, to borrow a phrase. I got the sink fixed with only two trips to town for parts. Got the fountain- a 500 lb chunk of concrete- moved to the front porch area, and mowed the yard. In addition to nearly killing myself with that, Chey and I made our rounds in the 'vette and then I cooked up some potatoe soup and added a 1lb of meat to it. Looked too healthy without the meat. :P
Is this on?? :)
John :waving:
Hello.
Long day today. I'm fixing to go to bed, but first, quick update on my Dad.
He had a heart cath done today, to see if he was strong enough for surgery, and they put a few stints in his heart to increase blood flow. They also put some balloon things in his leg to increase ye blood flow to the bad foot, and they said it has increased significantly, and they might not have to take the leg after all...just maybe the toes and part of the foot, not the whole thing!! Praise God!!
We won't know anything for sure till tomorrow when the surgeon comes in to check him and talk to dad. So keep praying please! God is working!
Busy day ahead again tomorrow. My brother will be here and church and hospital stuffs. :hi:
Goodnight all!
Praying!

Jenn, both of you, basically. :P
I woke up shivering this morning. My nose was almost froze. Someone has been playing with the outdoors thermostat again.
Our house was freezing this morning too. Mom turned on the heat it was so cold. :o
Pancakes & porkchops :fork:
Went to church and came home and all that. Eating a RBP.
Church was awesome!!! We have to move forward!
Went to church, came to hospital.

1 person got the HG at the concert last night and 3 this morning. 1 healing yesterday too. Nick Mahaney preached well here this am and pm.
Since this is the sharing thread I have decided to share something, and it's not the regular something I would share, this is a very important matter to me.
By now I think you would all know that I am not the sensitive, cry on me while I hug you, type.
I'm not one for airing a lot of my deep emotions, but I cover them with sarcasm or a joke, I prefer to laugh rather than fight. :pound:
(For those who want, now would be the time to move along, this is about to get a little lenghty) :waving:
EXCEPT YOU MEL: Because this one's just for you Miss Lady!
In Sharing Today:
I would like to say that I am glad that God gives us friends like Melody.
(Oh come on!.. Stop looking around, there is no punch line, I'm being serious.)
Some one that I can be real with. She knows that there are some days that I just don't want a hug, or that I'm human so I can not possibly smile ALL day, I'm not constantly having to reassure her that I'm not mad at her... But when I am mad, she tells me to shut up or take a walk, who else will get that real when you need it? Only a Best Friend! :fight:
There are some things in life that you can only share with a best friend (you know what I'm talking about) We have those moments often.
So what if I don't return your text today, I'll get around to it sometime this week, at least I've improved! :ugly:(Get that corn outta my face)
When I'm stressed to the max, and it's time for me to search for direction from God, you give me the space to let me figure it out on my own. Yet you text me every so many days JUST to see if I'm okay. It's something I appreciate!
You understand that I'm not one to share until it all lines up in my head, and then when God finally gets my brain in order, you're waiting on me with blue doritoes ready to listen!!
Good friends like that are not something that everyone gets to have.
You'll always be my DLFFFFE! :highfive:
Mel, sometimes I will pull away for a time, it's how I find my focus again. But just know this: You are my friend for life, You simply know TOO much, and I would have to kill you if you became my enemy. :freaky2:
Also if Ruby, or Justin, or even Granny tries to steal you from me, I will get HeatherB to teach me her mad Ninja skills and then we will both come and kidnap you! :up2:
You just can not win, I will not allow it, and Seth is not competition! :pound:
Whoa. That was totally unexpected. *sniff*
I love you too, my DLFFFFE!
Blue doritos?
Let's see... blue bag is ranch. Red/orange bag is nacho cheese. Ranch doritos?
That's the ones. :fork:

GUESS WHAT?~?~ I have some very....................
Oh never mind. :bigcheese:
It's time to finish this.
I have some very exciting news! I AM MOVING!!
The last two or three weeks have been very new for me.
I have prayed and seeked direction for some very big changes, there were even some times when things were placed before me, but only to see what I would do and how I would handle it.
My Praise Report As Follows:
I did not have a car - But by this weekend I will be in a Honda Accord, I'm not sure on the year but I know it's newer than an 07 and it only has 30 thousand miles! I am paying much less than what it could be going for, it is in PERFECT condition and not a thing wrong with it.
My God Provides!
I did not have a place to live - But by this weekend I will be moving into a trailer that is maybe five minutes from the church, I will be living with one of the prayer warriors of our church, and God has decided to let her be my mentor and teacher for a while! Then when my training is finished God is going to allow me to get my very own place!!
My God Is On Time!
I did not have a job - This week the Credit Union is going to call me back. I will be getting insurance starting my FIRST DAY on the job, and not having to wait like everyone else, that includes dental, vision, medical, diability, and life!
I will be in the position I wanted as a teller, making above the pay I was asking, and getting the hours I need to be in the Lord's house!!
It is only fifteen minutes from the church and the trailer!!
You can NOT tell me that MY God does not LOVE me!!
And the best part...you will be more able to hang out with MEEEE! :bigcheese:
You nerd! lol. Yes we will hang out, and pray, and have random lunches together!
IF God can provide ALL of that, I am waiting for Him to provide me with the days off I ask for, that way we can still be at the meet-up!

:hypocrite:

:up2:
*plots and plans*
uh oh...
Ok so...update on my day...lol
Church was good, and then I went to the hospital to visit dad. My oldest brother is here, and he was at the hospital, so we visited and then Mom, John and I came home. We ate lunch, Barbs recipe, and we LOVED it, it was a pork roast in the crock pot with cabbage, new potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. It was awesome, and we will be having it again. Then John and I chilled for awhile and went back up to the hospital to hang with dad for the evening. After that we came home, and talked some more and now everyone is in their respected rooms and I'm on GP.
(shhhh...don't tell John that his room actually is Chels.)
Dad is doing good today. He was in better spirits and seemed to really enjoy that John is here. We still don't know anything AT ALL about when they will amputate or even what all they will take off. Could be below the knee, or could be just part of the foot. No one will give any definite answers! I HATE THAT! Sheesh! Just figure it out already! Let's get it done and get on with our new normal. This waiting game is just stupid.
Anyway. I won't get started on THAT!
Tomorrow, John and I are going to the tire place and getting NEW TIRES FOR THE TRUCK!!! Can you believe it!? Finally! He brought some for us, and we are gonna go get them put on! I am so excited. This is huge for us cause the trucks tires have been horrendously bad for months and months now. But John brought some from his job, off of Budweiser trucks, and they just toss them and they are like new! I can't wait! Gonna be great!
After that we will go see Dad again, and who knows what. So that's the plan. :)
I am happy today.

The only problem with the poll, is that my answer is not YET in the lead, but it will be. :up2:
I did not want to get up this morning, it was really cold and my covers are super warm, but I did get up only to discover I have pulled something in my neck. With the pain of it I must of knocked a bone out of place :laughhard:
I've got much to do, so I'm off, but I will be checking in periodically (can't have you all in an up-roar while I'm gone :loopy:).
Got tires on the truck and had breakfast with my brother! Dad will be tied up with dialysis till afternoon, so I'm gonna go clean the church and get up to the hospital later.
:hi:
And I agree...come on down, Heather! We could use another Heather around here...we only have two. ;)
Dialysis... :-\
Howdy y'all! It's bright, sunny and not all that cold for a change. Last night at church, right before the offering, Bro. Phillip mentioned that "Whoever is praying for cold weather, you can stop now." :P
That's awesome Kmymbir and Mel. You'll have to post more in your adventure thread!
I am highly stressed recently. So I'm running away to GP land for a few minutes. (http://urduart.com/gallery/data/682/girly025_2.gif) Some burdens are so close to your heart you can neither walk away from them nor take a breath without feeling the heaviness.
On another note. I wish I could paint or was a wordsmith. How can it be depicted when you feel the separation of your children growing up? That moment when you realize that you aren't entirely in sync anymore. That while you influence, your walks of God have become distinctly individual. That while they can choose to be under our protection/authority, they are directly accountable to God and your Christianity is not entirely feeding theirs. Ugh, it is so hard to articulate and it hasn't even demanded formal recognition yet but I feel it coming in my spirit. It might be a few years yet but it's painful now. I wish I could just sit in an art gallery, full of quietness and look on a portrait of such a thing. I kind of feel like my heart is breaking but it's really not. I kind of feel full of worry and anxiety but not quite. I'm sort of upset but not at all based on the present reality. LOL Perhaps I'm losing my mind. My children are good children, mostly behaved.. lol But submission takes on a new feel when I know we must both be in authority and hold an expectation of submission and yet allow them to grow into their own person, very different than who we are, during these strange child->grey area teen->adult years.

I think you accomplished the wordsmith bit...
far cry from the intensity.
I know every parent is different but I most certainly have felt acutely intuned with where they are and what they're doing from the get go. I haven't had all the answers but I had a feel for where they were at. It's taking a new trust in God to not hold too tight to the reigns. I could, I am a capable mama bear. But then I might as well imasculate my son and lose my daughter when she falls in love cause I know that is what it would do. The opposite is so unknown though, after have been the mama. And in part I'm thinking out loud future tense. It's not the "Will they try something crazy?" it's "Will they wait upon the Lord?" and "Will they marry the right person?" without my guidance?
it's kind of ___? to think we spend all these years reassuring our kids that we love them and that God loves them and then are afraid that when they are grown, will they love God and us? Parenthood is a mighty steep investment.
:o meller's getting deep today...... in sharing- I was bad today. I wasn't feeling great, and it is lou's birthday, so I called in today. She has drug me from thrift shop to thrift shop. Now we're enjoying a pizza buffet. :fork:

I can wring their necks and throw them in the holler for the possums to eat and come out ahead. Thank you, and have a nice day.
I voted "red" simply because I will miss the red wall I painted in my room, it now says "Holland" and I'm not too sure what to think on that, Can we change it to "French Fries"?
Hey Kimber...my brother and I had a nice dinner at LY, and I ate cake shrimp. I thought of you.
But I took a picture for Barb. ;)

My day should have ended earlier. Nothing this evening has went right.
I have had a very emotional but rewarding day. Whew. Glad its over. About to go to sleep, and I'm gonna sleep in a bit tomorrow, then go up to the hospital about 9 or so. I'm exhausted. But in a good way now. I feel like a weight has been lifted. My daddy will be ok. He has his foot, and will walk again without a fake leg. We were worried how that all would work, but it's good now. Some special shoes and his cane and he will be fine.
Thanks, God.

I'm wide awake and it's only 4:30. The alarm went off, I forgot to turn it off last night, usually I wake dad up at 4 three days a week, so he can do dialysis, but of course I don't have to since he isnt here and they do his dialysis for him at the hospital. But the alarm went of anyway, I turned it off, and went to potty, and now I can't go back to sleep.
I had some weird dreams that I can't quite remember. Just kinda a dream of a dream now. I know it had something to do with me being extremely thirsty and not being able to get water. When I woke up, I grabbed my water bottle by my bed and chugged it. It's empty now and I still feel like I could drink another whole one, but I'm not going to get up in this COLD house and go get another. I'll wait till I get up.
It's *42 degrees here right now. Almost May, on the coast, and *42 degrees. SMH.

I turned the heater on earlier. *shiver* it was *60 degrees INSIDE the house. It's not now though!
I have some junk coming up today at work, someone trying to make trouble. Fortunately I also seem to have some staunch defenders...

RFIDs have been around for awhile, so has the VeriChip. Last I knew the FDA had finally approved the VeriChip after it had not earlier approved it because the testing that was done on horses failed. I used to have the FDA report. They implanted the horses and it is supposed to bond to the inner flesh, but instead it migrated and they had to butcher some just to find the chip. Plus, you can't get a catscan with them, it'd be sucked right out of you from the magnetism. And "too much" radiation would cause it to heat up, burning you from the inside out. I don't know how or if they actually worked all the kinks out but because it isn't totally needed, it's not very popular yet. However, there is a significant of people with them. I heard an interview of one guy talking about how he got it and wanted it to pay, he could scan his hand and it acted like a debit card. It was in Europe though. A family in California was on some day show about how their whole family had the VeriChip, years ago. I haven't heard anything else about them. My sister, the marine, was briefed on getting it and she was upset, not understanding that the mark isn't just a "mark" but something that you must also give your aliance to above God, which would fit suitably in the military. She said she would protest under religious freedom but they told her it wouldn't hold and she would be court marshalled. Somehow, it disapated and never happened though and then she was reassigned somewhere else.
There used to be a website with good info on it by Catherine Albreit (sp?) on the subject but I'm not sure if it is still exists and I can't google it.
I could see how the VeriChip or something similiar could turn into the mark of the beast after significant global events but not presently. However, simply because it's something foreign into my body, I wouldn't get it.
I wouldn't get it for the same reason I don't have a smartphone. Don't need it, don't want it, don't bother. I have no reason to get it.
Barb, Barb, Barb.... *smh*

Andrew is fighting some stuffiness so chicken noodle soup and what I had already planned.. zucchini pizza boats. (http://gfxlovers.com/smilies/imgs/girly/girly004.gif)
Cleaned the church. Not much else accomplished.
I did have a long conversation with Hannah this morning. She asked me to pray with her because she thought the devil was trying to attack her soft spot... fashion. ie: she was feeling the pressure to be wordly and want to dress worldly, specifically pants. She said pants were just looking so "artistic" on girls. Keep in mind she is 10 yrs old...lol I started out heading towards the Deut. scripture about gender specific attire but it quickly went a whole nother conversation toward the 1st and 2nd commandment. We discussed idolatry and what worship is day to day. We identified how the Bible shows us, that people can call themselves worshipping God and other gods, lukewarmness, and separation. We talked about coming out from among a group of people and how that meant that group was seeing something from one angle but when you come away from that, you see a different angle completely. We prayed about keeping the right perspective on truth and we resisted the devil from trying to make us see things his way. I'm happy to tell you, that devil fled. :) We resubmitted our "fashion" to Jesus, making the only important people to try and please were Jesus and our leadership by submission.
Nice talks with my kiddos bless me. ♥

Worked all day, rushed home (enjoying sermons from the website ApostolicClassics) and got the lawn mower. Had to hurry back to get the church yard mowed because my trailer has no taillights. Got churchyard mowed and returned home. Removed broke headbolt that was still in Rusty's block in preparation for the install of his new head. Came in, ate a salad and sat on my butt. Going to bed now.
My day summed up. See ya tomorrow. :laughhard:
Wait, wait, wait....the cop is pulling a trailer with no lights?
Officer, officer, we need a ticket written over here!

Well the expected trouble at work hit, and then... apparently fizzled away to nothing. Cool.
The only residual effect is the guy who was trying to stir up trouble was not speaking to, or even looking at me all day. Everything else, with everyone else, is fairly normal. I can live with that.

I have a monster of a headache this morning. Gonna go to the hospital this afternoon, don't need to right away cause dad will be in Dialysis till after 1 or so. He is doing better, still in pain, but his spirits are better. May be a few more days before he comes home though.
:hi:
Where is everyone today! :demand:
I am here. You are there. Everyone else is also there, but different theres than your there.
Next question.
I was gonna go to the hospital, but dad just called and said they are JUST NOW taking him to dialysis, so he won't be done with that for several hours and not to come up there till 5 or so. :smirk2:

As one who tears up at certain songs, I have no comment. It could be awkward listening to music at work, but I cover both furnace lines alone.

Well, that's a shock. I went to work today and found out I've been suspended for three days. The owner is supposed to be back and he'll make the call on whether I still have a job Monday. I'm to call Friday and see.
This guy that started the whole mess has been looking for trouble for some time, and finally got something he could blow up. All I can do now is wait and see what falls out of it.
On the other hand, if worst comes to worst I still have an open invitation to come back to McDonald's at any time. I hear they're not too happy with the people they've been trying to replace me with in the last year.
What actually happened? How does a person get you suspended and possibly fired if you simply go to work, work efficiently and go home?
Hope it all works out, Isaac.
Good grief! I'm sorry, Isaac. My brother in HI has been dealing with what sounds like an eerily similar situation. I'll pray God moves in on your behalf and fights your battle for you.
MY and Jenn - thanks for the hugs and prayers. You're both sweet. :)

On a clearer note. Hannah had fun washing the car. Oh to be a kid again! And I'm trying my hand at making chicken alfredo with fresh parmesan tonight rather than the jar of preshredded.
How many birds do you have currently Seth?
Fun washing the car... and the toy lawn mowers that blow bubbles, and the easy-bake ovens. I remember asking my father to let me push the real lawn mower.
The difference is between getting to and having to. Now it's a chore to mow that yard that keeps growing way too fast.

I'm at the hospital with Dad. They moved his room AGAIN. Third time since Friday. And he is in a LOVELY mood today. Griping and complaining and nothing anyone does is right. I guess that means he is feeling better. He can't get situated. He yelled at a nurse, a friend of mine, a few mins ago. I told her he was just uncomfortable and agitated and irritable. And of course mom is at home and not coming up here today. He's mad at that too.
I love days like this. But God is still amazingly good. No matter what.

Sorry, for some reason I thought American Greetings was a distribution agency that card makers, Hallmark included, used for marketing and delivery. It's a competitor.

Jenn, I dreamed about you. Lol You came to my house in Florida where I grew up. And you were constantly trying to catch me in a lie or something. Like my mom was in the kitchen, and you said "I thought you said that the frying pan was ALWAYS sitting right THERE! It's not there now! You said you never moved it!" then I showed you my bedroom, and you questioned everything in there too. "You told me you never put your dirty clothes on the floor! And your bed isn't made! Why? You said you always make the bed!"
I was like "I live here! Sometimes things are not always perfect. Sorry, deal with it." and you just kept trying to find me lying about the stupidest stuff that doesn't even matter.
It was a really dumb dream. And I don't remember you in anything after that. It switched to another dream where I was in a store getting stuff for dad to take back to the hospital. He wanted some anti diherrea medicine, a white dress shirt, a blue tie, and a pair of woman's dress pants. But he wouldn't give me a size of pants, and had given me a food stamp card to buy these things, (eventhough thats impossible) and I kept asking him why he needed the woman's dress pants, and he never would tell me. He just told me to get the most expensive ones I could find. That dream was also dumb.
And before anyone asks, I ate a burger and tots from Sonic at about 8pm. But I didn't go to sleep till after 1, so that shouldn't have been the reason for the crazy dreaming. Haha.
hahahahaha oh Melb .... I supposed it was the night for weird dreams. I had one too....except I don't really remember it now....I just remember waking up and going whoa what?!
I'm headed to the hospital soon. Hope dad doesn't get mad that I didnt bring those woman's dress pants. Lol
Is it bad that my cousin keeps calling and I keep ignoring his call? He is a drug head and I don't like talking to him cause he always sounds stoned. So when he calls, I ignore it. He is wanting to check on Dad, but he NEVER EVER calls just to talk when everything is fine, he ONLY calls when either mom
or dad is in the hospital, and if you do talk to him, he wants to know what kind of meds the drs are giving them. It annoys me, and I won't answer, so QUIT CALLING MY PHONE! If you want to talk to Dad, call his phone or the room up there. I will not talk to you! Go away!

I give these types my "ringtone of silence". Just record a few seconds of silence and save/name the file silence or something and boom 8+ D

Oh! I told a few people that I made a delicious calzone for lunch and that I would post the pictures of it.
So I found this recipe on Pinterest, and it was for a braided calzone. The ingredients were the standard pizza type, but since my Mom doesn't like that too well, I decided to alter it a bit and use the idea, but with spinach and alfredo sauce.
My ingredients: Canned pizza dough, Alfredo sauce, baby spinach, grape tomatoes, mushrooms, and CHEESE! (and of course my Pampered Chef classic round stoneware)
I spread the dough out, the spooned some alfredo sauce on it, then added the rest, all in the middle of the dough. Then I cut little strips in the side of the dough and folded it over it, stretching to cover the whole thing. It was awkward, and looked funny but worked!
Then I baked it at 375 for 30 minutes.
It came out all brown and crispy on the outside...
And cheesy gooey on the inside!
When I do it again, I'll add more cheese, and less sauce. And also a bit of salt, but it was amazing!
That made me sick just looking at it Mel. I'm surprised you did not say more about the service, of course you may have missed it, it would of been hard to hear over me.. LOL.
How is that sickening? It's like a spinich pizza, only different. Lol if I had made it the traditional way, you would have begged me for it.
And yeah, you were kinda loud tonight. Glad I was beside you and not in front of you like I normally am.

And indeed it would be- minus all that healthy stuff and WITH about 2 lbs of meat... :laughhard:
I'm off to work my part time job. Lord, I'd rather stay at home.....
Morning!
Fittin to get a shower and take Dad to wound care. I get to see his foot today! I have been missing it in the hospital, everytime they changed the dressings, I missed it, but today I'm gonna see for myself. Lol
I'm gross I know.

Isaac, I thought of you this morning. My supervisor had to go on a business trip and he brought me back a Lindt dark chocolate bar. My hubby will enjoy it since I don't care for dark chocolate.
A business trip where? Walmart? lol you can get those everywhere!
Here at work. Lots of tension this week amongst my stores...and my boss. Tempers are flying, attitudes growing and its a MESS. Wish I could just walk out and not come back.
No, he went to Canada but always tries to bring a small gift back. He's just nice.

Availability does not degrade quality. It's better than hershey and the orange/dark chocolate bar is yummy.

Eww. I dont care for dark chocolate.
I don't care for dark chocolate either, but they say it is good for you and I make sure to eat whats good for me lol
The Goshen blessing is kind of the theme of this year at our church. Seems like the vein we're in right now. It's been a awhile since Nathan and I have had some Bible discussions/study together. Today he started texting some thoughts on Joseph to Moses, which I've been reading and thinking on also. I hope it becomes a regular thing again. ♥
The darker the chocolate, the less room for sugar. 70% is really good, perfect balance.
Unfortunately that particular bar is not available here. Fuzzy, let me know how it is... er, how your husband says it is, will you please?
I thought I posted in here last night..... :eyebrow:
Went to church and discovered it had been broken into at some point....kicked the back door in, busted the door frame. Only thing they visibly touched inside was they opened the doors of the Bible stand and left them open and had moved something in there. Apparently just looking for cash, of which there was none there. Thankfully didn't take anything else or tear anything else up besides the door.
May the Good Lord smite them with emerods in their secret places and save their souls.
I have come to love dark chocolate. Salt helps with the bitterness. So, you might enjoy it better with nuts or something... I'm going to try a recipe this week that is called Olive Oil Cake with dark chocolate and fresh rosemary. It'll be my first time to incorporate chocolate into something that doesn't seem like a desert. Which is from this book that I'm am totally facinated by:

Oh, we went to the museum last night. Man, a lot of nakedness in art. Kinda crazy. I really enjoy the history and the talent to experience there but I can only enjoy it so long before the pretentious shallowness of it starts to bother me. History is one thing, giant rods of metal weilded togther to look like, well, some unidentifiable expression is another. Paying hundreds of thousands/millions for said "art" became almost offensive by time we got to the end. "Let's spend 2.3 million dollars on pictures of the starving and destitute." or better yet, abstractness. There is literally a piece consisting of a black square. There is a purse, a regular modern purse. on a stand. The kids almost picked it up, worried someone had lost it. (http://urduart.com/gallery/data/682/girly025_2.gif) I actually enjoy some abstract work, the colors, shapes and such. Some of it though just makes me smh. I think when it is trying to make a social statement that is steeped in unGodliness, or frivilousy, is when I'm disenchanted.
I'm a coal miner's daughter.
While I was waiting on the police to come last night, I discovered that the soles of my shoes are wore through in places, and one of them is cracked open all the way across is.....
I'm going to have to go barefoot for the summer and hopefully get some shoes by winter. :P
I could give you a pair of my shoes, but I don't think you want them.

And in other news...Putting the contents of a glow stick in a bottle of bubbles makes the bottle glow, but does not produce glowing bubbles. :(
I saw a pin on Pinterest that said that if you cut open a glow stick and pour it into some bubbles, you can have glowing bubbles to make summer nights spectacular!
This was gonna be my signature awesome feat of the summer! I would bust out with some amazing glowing bubbles at a late night Youth event and wow all my ETWs with my awesomeness! It would be EPIC!
But alas, the bottle glowed, and nary a bubble even glistened in the darkness. *sigh*

Read an article earlier about some woman suing the company that makes Nutella for misleading her with their advertising into thinking their product was healthy and a $3.5 million settlement was made, so if people can win for their own stupidity, then sure Mel-Mel or you can too.
:hypocrite:
They won because some advertisements claim nutella is healthy. I always got a kick out of those commercials... the first ingredient is sugar, and the second one is palm kernel oil. Never thought anyone would actually *believe* them.
Nutella does taste good though. If you eat it for what it is - basically a spreadable, semi-solid candy bar in a jar - it's nice every so often.
So...a man walks into a bar, orders a glass of water from the bartender. The bartender reaches under the bar, pulls out a shotgun, and fires off a round, just barely missing the mans head. The man says "Thank you", puts a tip on the bar and turns and walks out.
Why did he thank the bartender and leave a tip?
The man had the hiccups and the bartender was trying to scare them out of him?
I guess it worked, the customer was happy enough to leave a tip.
Good job! I didn't think anyone would get that.
I heard it on NCIS. Lol
Is that a radio or TV show?

I'm up and getting ready to take Dad to dialysis. I'm not complaining about my situation, I am glad I am here to help him. I liturally had to help him get dressed this morning cause he can't walk and he's been in such a fowl mood since he got home. I'm glad I am here. My only gripe is that I am doing EVERYTHING for him while my dear sweet mother lays in the bed asleep. But yet she claims she does it all.
I. Hate. That.
:smirk2:
I almost hate to leave him with her today, but I have other obligations with church stuffs, and frankly, I _NEED_ to get away from all this, even for just a few hours. It scares me to leave him though. *sigh*
If he's in the mood for fowl, that's a good thing.
Im at the church. Its my down time till 3 or so when we have a MEETING. (Seth)
I have already been to WM, restocked and cleaned the snack area in the Youth room, practiced Ericas song for her signed song next weekend with her, talked to Granny about all my troubles with Mom, and been to Jerry Lees Grocery to pick up what I am gona have for lunch later. Now Im in the office chillin on a real computer and eating some Zapps Cajun Dill Gator-Tators. :fork:

I need an excercise buddy. Is that weak? I have a great sidewalk I can go on but I'm a bit self conscience walking alone along a busy street. blah. But I do want to excercise. I am not fat, but I couldn't survive anything I don't think to save my life, I'd be going on faith alone... lol Can't afford a gym membership and honestly, I don't really want to do that either. This is probably really pathetic but I've tried doing those excercise videos before and when it gets to the strength building part, I cannot do it AT ALL. It practically reduces me to tears and then I'm done. I've been limber as all get out before but have never been able to do 1 push up, pull up, climb a rope or whatever else one measures physical strength with. Smh at myself. I pretty much have no self will when it comes to actual excercise.
Somebody come be my excercise buddy!
Just woke up. Had a rough night. Serious wicked pain in my neck. Not sure what I did.
Bout to make some cinnamon rolls and my bro/sil are coming over so she and I can lay out by the pool.
I hate it when that happens. Sorry it happened to you. Makes the whole day harsh.
It's really a sad thing that we don't live closer, MY. 'Cause while I could walk all day and all all night, anything that has to do with arm strength (other than playing the piano, so I guess that's mostly lower arm and shoulder muscles) I'm pathetic. When I was little, I used to do chin-ups, and climb ropes, and all kinds of stuff, but now??... I can't even do one single chin up. :smirk2: Yeah, like I said. I'm pathetic.
*thinks about commenting on Jenn's post, and then thinks better of the comment* :P

YES! I think if I had a work out buddy, I could laugh at myself but keep going with weight training. I get too serious on myself by myself.
Bah.
I had the day all to myself- very rare. Lou had to work, and Chey stayed the night with a friend. So what did I do? Slept in until 9:30, drove the 'vette to town to check on Rusty's head, came back and attacked the jungle that attacked the west side of my house. Is it a coincidence that all the encroaching vines and weeds that I want to kill before the take over my house is on the SAME SIDE OF THE HOUSE THAT OKLAHOMA IS?!?!? I think not. I'm reasonably sure it is Mini's fault.
Anyhow- I have now gotten the majority of the jungle cleared but not hauled to the burn pile. I've ran slap outta energey or desire to complete the job now.
My trip to town was completely wasted- the machine shop had a sign on the door saying they were closed until Tuesday. Means Rusty's reconstruction will be delayed a few more days. :cry2:
And I am fixing to began cooking pork chops in a mushroom gravy sauce, and whatever vegetables I can find, and maybe a cheesecake for dinner.

We cooked chicken on the smoker today for a little church that was having a work day. They had kids from the Bible college come to give them a hand. Was so glad to get done and back home. It got hot and that smoke gets to you after a while.

For the first time this year!! YAY! FUN! After you got past the initial shock of the coldness, it began to warm up and it was great!

Taco: It resolved well enough. Looked like I was going to be left hanging over the weekend, but all has ended well.
In other, totally unrelated news, I need to have a camera crew follow me around at work and video every minute, solely for purpose of indemnity.
That's good to hear!
Well I turned in my final final and as of tomorrow night I will no longer be a college student. I will be a graduate! Goes to show you anyone can do it no matter how dumb or old. lol
Well I had a DAY! Turned out really good.
Dropped Dad off at Dialysis, then I went to church and got the money from the snack bar and made a list of things we needed, then went and picked up Erica, went to WM, then back to church, unloaded and stocked and cleaned the snack bar, talked to Granny for a bit, helped Erica with her sign practice, then Erica's mom came and picked her up. Then I played around on the computer some, and went back upstairs to try to nap a bit. Granny was praying, and she proceeded to come upstairs and pray for every single one of our Youth and Youth staff by name. I just layed there in the dark on the couch and politely prayed to myself while she did. Then she left, and I was dozing again, and she called my phone. Lol Asked me was I still somewhere in the building...come to find out she didn't see me over there on the couch while she was up there, walking past me every few minutes while she prayed. Haha! So I went back down and helped her set up all the tables and chairs for the 5th Sunday dinner we are having tomorrow. Then after an hour or so of that, we ate lunch and I decided again to try to nap. So back upstairs I go, in the dark, on the couch. In about 30 mins, the door flings open, and the lights are glaring, and who walks in but Kimber herself. So after some brief conversation, we go downstairs and play a heated game of checkers while we wait for the rest of the Innovate team to arrive for our meeting. We had a brief meeting, cause EVERYONE else was late, and after that, the kids got there and we decided to play Apples to Apples, and it was HILARIOUS! Kimber had her face buried in my arm from laughter for most of the game. And I won. ;) Then Wes decided to WALK to the beach with the kids. Some of them, including me, didn't want to walk, so we took the church van, and followed them, reeeeeeelllllly slowly. We got to the beach, played in the park, walked the pier, played in the park again, and then loaded up and went back to church. Then Krissy and I gave Livi a bath in the kitchen sink. Then we took kids home, and some of us with vehicles met at Sonic. After chilling there, I went back to the church again, and did my Saturday cleaning. Then another stop at WM on the way home, and when I got home I picked all the taters out of the veggies for my famous chicken soup, put it all in the crockpot, turned it on, and now I am in bed writing this.
Whew. That was my day. Nutshell version. ;)
Did I miss anything, Kimber? Haha.
We were riding really slow in the van to the beach, and had the windows down. Livi says, "Turn that window off Mel Mel, it's blowing my hair!"
We've seen pictures of Roscoe. He looks like a Keebler Elf.
Oh. One more thing.
Today was awesome, and I NEEDED it. Badly. Just to be ME. Not worry about anyone else and sicknesses and things I needed to to, but just chill with my crew and just BE.
When I got home, I found out that my parents survived, and everything was fine. The house is royally messy, dads clothes and dishes all over the living room, but they were fine, and I had an amazing day.
Thank you Jesus for giving me my friends and busy, crazy hilarious days like today. :bigcheese:

I had another amazing day today!
We had a great SS lesson, about the triut of the free of life, lol and then church was great! Baby dedication, and then Wes preached his heart out about unity and oneness, had a baptism, and then had an amazing dinner on the grounds. After the crowd disbursed a bit, we played Apples to Apples again, and I WON! Again! I am now known as the ETW A2A Champieen! Then we cleaned up and I had a heart to heart with a friend, and found out something exciting that I had suspected for awhile now! But I can't say just yet. She wants to be the bearer of the news. (not that y'all care, you don't know her, but for Kimbers sake, I can't say...)
Then I came home, fed my parents, and I'm in my Jammie's, about to watch some NCIS. I'll soon be done with them, and I can quit talking about it. Lol

Watch the news to find out. And if you would keep your nose from in people's business, it wouldn't be dirty.
I took a nap instead of watching NCIS. Now I am eating cottage cheese an fresh pineapple.
I is tired! And sod is a great thing.
Oddly, I used to be somewhat skeptical of the whole sod idea. Unroll a sheet of grass to cover the yard? Sod makes the yard look like it's a big striped quilt, it turns brown way too easily, requires watering when normal yards are bright green without any sprinklers and it's just... just... fake! Even though it's real grass, it's still fake somehow.
But today we had our community service/picnic. That's where once a year all the churches in town get together at the park for singing, preaching and eating. And this year our church was singing, and the pastor of the 1st christian church (the guy everyone else looks to for running the thing) asked our pastor if we could handle the sound system. We set up in and around the park pavilion. Problem is, I needed two speakers at the other end of the pavilion, away from the stage. And there were kids running all over the place. Someone was sure to trip on a cable and pull a speaker down, I just knew it.
But there was sod all around the pavilion. And I found out that where the grass meets the concrete pad of the pavilion you can pull that stuff up like the edge of a carpet. I pulled it up and tucked the cable under it all the way down the side.
I love sod. :D

2.) I love you.. That is all.
Must be your phone.

Ok..is it just my phone being dumb again, or does PFs avatar changed to Rubys beret smiley?
Mel, I think you're seeing things...
LOL
Roland Baker preached today and did a leadership mtg tonight. It was GOOD stuff. Overall theme: We make working for God harder than it is. There is a rest involved in working for Him.
Ruby, I'm trying a new tea. The brand is Yogi and it has tons of different things in it. It's called Skin Detox. I've only been drinking it a couple of days. It tastes good but I'm not sure it works yet.
I love you too, my DLFFFFE! ;)
And I am not seeing things! I think my phone is goofed up, OR someone on this board is playing me. (GLITCH) ;)
See this?

Looks like a Beret to me!
Your phone is as ignernt as you are. :smirk2:

Merning.
Last night, we flat out had the most powerful youth service we have ever had. One of my oldest and closest friends preached, and when he gave a altar call, at least 3 youth got the Holy Ghost. Beautiful move of God.
That is so exciting, Jeremy!
/me clubs everyone with the 2x4 of happiness.
Im up. Got my shower and fixing to take dad to his Drs appointment.
So starts another week.
:hi:
/me Glad I am not getting clubbed, cus I am in fact not happy!

This artist does "rubber duck" installations as her artwork like everywhere! lol
Yeah but think about the navigation hazard...
Morning y'all. I went to bed before midnight. Must have been more tired than I thought.

LOL I can see how that would make a lot of people smile. How fun!
*sigh* Our friend D' is leaving in 2 months for France. He's been working so hard to make it happen, we're very excited for him and sad to see him go. He's been tutoring Hannah in French, & has inspired Nathan to really work on learning to play the guitar.
From the website:
"The Rubber Duck knows no frontiers, it doesn't discriminate people and doesn't have a political connotation."
They fought a trademark war over the smiley face, they battled it out over the "Buy it now" button. I'm just waiting for someone to fight a trademark war over yellow rubber duckies.
I love duckies! And I incorporate them in a lot of things I do.
I am taking on a project! I can not sew to save my life, but today I am ironing the pattern out and washing the material, then I will attempt to cut out the pieces!!
I want to make a really cute dress to wear, I had been looking at the pattern for some time, I hope I do it right!
Make me a shirt that says, "Caution: I void warranties." :biglaugh:
Today is my hubby's birthday. The kids took us out to eat yesterday in celebration.
I refuse to pick A or Z as together they remind me of AutoZone.
Kimber-I used to sew a little bit until mom refused to let me use her machine anymore. Which was funny because I still 5 years later have been the ONLY person to use it. But I hope to get my own machine one day.
It was so awesome to drive myself to work today. Not only that but to get in the car and know it was gonna start. It was cool
Happy Birthday Mr. Fuzzy!
You rang, Lady Melodya?
Awesome, Jeremy!
Seth, thhbbtttt!!
John :waving:
/me screams
That would kill him.
I just don't think he'd kill that easy...
He will most likely out live us all. Old and miserable and surrounded by birds.
He'll be pecked to death at the age of 100.
/me hugs cheese
Could be.
We could all take a field trip to the bird farm...
That'd be good. I'd put you all to work.
Happy Monday to all of you. Happy Saturday to me. :)
:beret:

Are you accusing her of some fowl deed?

I didnt make that cake after all. I was too tired.
Up and at 'em! I'm up, and ready to start this day. Taking dad to Dialysis, then hanging out with a friend most of the day. :hi:
I'm back at work. :smirk:
Got up a bit early- Lou had to be at work at 5am so she (and chey and I) went to bed quite early last night, so I was awake around 4 am. couldn't resist, I brought the Corvette to work. Stopped to get gas and got approached by an older man driving a older truck, who immediatly began to tell me about HIS 'vettes. When he began listing off his collection, I was like "yeah, right" (to myself), then he says, "here, I've got some pics of my best car- a 1967 Corvette, 427/4 speed with 435 horsepower." Mini would've flipped. It was a beautiful car. And now I have a new friend. :biglaugh:
I don't like corvettes.
:hypocrite:
Or the people who drive them. :hypocrite:
At work. As of today I've been here a year :)
I took off work today to be with the kids.
As bad as I hate to, going to go to town to get fencing material. And hit a store for work while I'm at it. Blah.

I did, over in another thread. What more do you want? :P
Cleaned the church. I'm not feeling so hot. The cold/flu whatever has been going around. I don't have it like everyone else has, I just don't feel up to par.
Also. I love summer shoes that don't require socks. However, my feet stink in them. :smirk2:

I hit the Wal-Mart since I was out that way..... What do they do that makes me want to hit it? They're ingnernt in there....
Last week when I was in there, there was supposed to be a Mother's Day card display to be put up (which really wasn't due until this week), and I tried to talk to a manager or somebody to see where it could be set up at, and nobody knows who to get to ask anything when you try to ask someone for assistance....and then they said the co-manager was supposed to come and see me. He never did all the time that I was in there. I think I saw him when I was in the back room, but I didn't address him, I was like, whatever if you can't come out here and deal with this, poop on ya.... BUT, I couldn't find the stupid box of our stuff in the backroom that day anyways, the place was a madhouse...
Well, today I did find the box back there, but finding a manager was a bunch of hooey. They first go to find the Celebrations Dept. manager...she was at lunch, they said she'd be back in a bit, told her associate to let her know I was there, yadda yadda... Well, nobody ever shows, I get the thing set up in the meantime...go back up and ask to see if I can find out if she's back... So then they page her....finally she comes up front, and says she can't tell me where to set it, the asst. manager (the aforementioned co-manager) has to do that, and he was supposed to come up there and talk to me. She did end up telling me where I could set it and apologizing for the co-manager acting like he was going to come and talk to me and not doing it.
You can never get ahold of anybody in there that knows beans from apple butter.
Sheesh.
Anyways..... Then I had maddening experiences shopping for my fence materials.... Menard's people are dumb as a box of rocks too.... They say they'll send somebody to help you load stuff, and they never show up. I've had them do the same thing pretty much every time I go back in the lumberyard.... Morons. So I wooled my crossties onto the trailer myself, which is what I pretty much intended to do anyways.... Shoot, I've gotta wool em around by myself once I get em home, why bother getting help to load em?
Anyways....then 3 places didn't have the same prices on wire in the store that they had online....so I ended up going back to Menard's again to get it and could've had it there the first time...blah.....
And my shoes are dead...dead I say....it rained off and on and I might as well have been barefoot.
I'm glad to be home. Lord.
Now somebody come and build this fence.....and this shed....and remodel this other shed....and then build more fence....and then......
/me dies.
Thank you all for mourning silently for me.
:disco:  :disco:.
