:bustamove:
Well, went to work this morning....from 8 a.m. till 8:40 p.m..... Came home and tended fowl.... Finally catching up and gotta get my work crud entered online.
Lord.....
And I have apparently lost some money grandma gave me yesterday...like a $20 or something...she gave it to me when we got to her house after church yesterday when she got out of the car, and usually if she does that, I stick it up on the dash of the car, like in front of the instrument panel till I get home or whatever rather than sticking it in my pocket/wallet....
While ago I was looking in my wallet and it dawned on me that I don't think I ever put it in there, don't remember getting it out of the car, or anything.... I don't remember if I took it out of the car when I got home or not....if I did, I don't know where it went...it's not in my pants pocket that I had on.... After coming home yesterday I ate lunch then went back to the church and cleaned...I don't specifically remember ever noticing the money still being there when I went over there.... Surely nobody crept in and stole it in my driveway before I went over there...lol...or at the church while I was there if it was still there then even.... I don't believe it was there this morning, and my car was locked all the time whenever I went anywhere today....
It COULD have fell down into the crack there between the dash and the "glass" over the instrument panel, but that seems unlikely, if you stick something up there, it sticks, it doesn't go down in it really...
:reaction:
I don't know if I stuck it somewhere insane and don't remember it or what.
You might have donated it to WV so they could bend their ingredients.
And I see the edit.
*sigh*
Woe is me. My post was edited.
I got the job! :) Now we are praying for favor in court on Wednesday! Thankfully Jeremy doesn't have to go, only the attorney...but..I hate to think of how long and drawn out this could be! I've been praying for his ex wife to be moved upon to own up to her responsibility! If she doesn't, I'm praying that He helps us to deal with this and to be able to forgive her!
What kinda job, Spud Duty?
WV does not need a donation from me. :(
I'll be in Accounts Payable for Brown Electric. UPC people actually own the business.. Very nice people! My new gma & gpa (and Jesus) helped me get this job. Grandma is the sister of the husband of the lady who does the job now. That lady is the twin sister of the wife of the owner...technically the husband & wife both own it, haha.
I forgot to mention.. She's retiring, so she's training me! It is going to pay less than I wanted but hopefully with some more prayer, they'll bump it up a dollar or hurry and give me a raise once training is over. I start Monday!
I'm glad to have the rest of this week to try and finish the house! I bought more cleaning supplies tonight so I can tackle that kitchen floor soon! Haha..
I'm getting exhausted just reading about all you people cleaning so much. Think I'll go take a nap.
I'm going to bed.

Yea that....
I'm amazed how often our weather is similiar. Here too. Probably warmer there though.
It's 69* here atm
It stormed beautifully last night. It's cleared up now some, and 68 degrees.
I'm up, but not fully functional. It's hard to bring yourself to DO anything when there's so much music to make, edit, run off of old records, play on the keyboard...
I got a job AND Jeremy turned on the a/c last night. Yaaay!! Haha..
So ready for good news tomorrow!
On the bad news front.. I have thru Sunday morning to get this house in shape for my parents visit haha. Gotta get with it!
I'm putting together a puzzle.
Still at work. It's a gloomy rainy day here. I'd love to be curled up with a good book. Instead, after work, I've gotta start on Rusty, or I'll never get him fixed. Bah.
Jenn, you OK? I hear there are 2 tornadoes on the ground near Dallas.
Has anyone heard from Jenn yet?
She was fine last I heard... about 2:30, but haven't heard anything lately.
Y'all pray really hard that this motorhome sells! Got a guy looking at it right now!
...that was till it died on the road on his test drive....?? :smirk2:
Went to work....came home...Lord....
Work Thursday, doing a revision to the southside Dollar General. I'm done in with work. :P Next week will be kind of a big week with the seasonal changeover from Easter to Mother's Day/Graduation stuff.
:smirk2:
Lord. What. A. Day. I'm sure glad that God is a God of mercy and forgiveness. I require it today. I've been fighting with an insurance company over a re-imbursment check for rental car.....been talking with them daily for over two weeks, always with another promise or excuse from them on why I haven't gotten it. Lost my cool today when they informed me that I had taken out "rental car insurance" that they would not cover and they were cutting my re-imbursment by nearly $70. I did NOT act Christian like....the old me came out in a vengence. If Equity Insurance's Oklahoma office collasped and at least two people in particular had no jobs, I wouldn't cry. And yes, I said something to that effect.. I don't remember being that mad in a LONG time. I'd have cheerfully strangled those two if I could've got my hands on them...
And in other news, I thought of Isaac and Meller Yeller in particular today. I have a friend whose husband and father in law own a farm. They sometimes gift or sell me fresh milk, eggs, and butter. Today, she informed me she was planning on killing chickens Saturday and offered me some nice plump farm raised, free range chickens ready for the fryer for $7.50 each. Thought of you two instantly and bought at least one...
At LEAST one? How many more did you get? Lol
Yes Seth. They went for a test drive, and I had to go get dressed and rescue them. Lord. That old man kept hotrodding it and the battery wasn't fully charged so it kept dying. I jumped it off a total of THREE TIMES before we got home, and they had only went about two miles up the road! And when I was following them home, that guy was driving so close to the side of the road, I thought he was gonna flip it! He was going way too fast for a motorhome! Lord lord. BUT! He said he will be back tomorrow with his checkbook! YAY! He wants it!
So hopefully that will work out and he really will buy it tomorrow! Yay!

I haven't made up my mind. Maybe two...
I am tired!! Spent the morning cleaning up the outside of the church, and the afternoon doing outreach in Radford VA for our churches daughter work. Got in about 30 minutes ago.
Man, what a day. I am exhausted.
A very good friend of ours (Vincent) collapsed at work today. I guess he couldn't process/think straight, couldn't even pronounce his own name correctly, and ended up on the floor having a seizure. So. Spent the afternoon calling people on the church directory to get folks praying, trying to help his wife with 3 of their 4 boys, take food to her at the hospital, pick up my own brother from college so's my mom could stay with them at the hospital, and fed all the rest of the kiddos dinner at my folk's house, and... I can't even remember what all. Long story short... there's still really no news. They're keeping him in the hospital overnight, waiting for lab results, and saying it's possibly spinal meningitis. But they don't sound too sure about that, and we're thinking they're just trying to rule out possibilities since they really don't know what's wrong.
(MY, this is one of those backsliders who recently came home that I was telling you about. I'm pretty sure Satan is hoppin' mad that they're back where they belong.)
My two kiddos were troopers today with everything going on. When they were grabbing a few things to throw in a backpack (since we weren't sure at that point where we'd end up with all the boys or how long we'd be gone from home) Jason even packed some extra kleenex "just in case one of the boys felt teary". He's got such a compassionate little heart. Makes me proud of him.
So thankful I know the Healer.

Love you, Mel. *Hugs* back.

My day lasted the normal twenty four hours, I accomplished a lot, good night.
Haha yea I'm all good. No tornado here! No damage to my car! Hail as large as a baseball was seen all around...so I was a lil more worried about my new car, than I was getting ravaged by a non-existent tornado! haha
The one day I don't consistently check GP is the day ya'll all inquire about me! lol

Ooooh in Jesus'name let God get the glory! God is SO VERY good! Whether he is healed or not, praise be that he is under the blood, saved and sanctified. I'll be praying.
I heard an awesome testimony this wknd from one of the ministers. A guy had a cancerous tumor that ran up his face into his head. It was a serious and delicate kind. He got prayed for and the next morning was taking a shower and sneezed. The whole thing shot out with the sneeze. Problem completely solved, the dr's are dumbfounded. THAT'S MY GOD.
Morning people.
I have a lot to do today. Need to start with loading the dishwasher. Then I'll clean the bathroom. After that Ill get a shower and get to town, gotta go to lowes and price Easter Lilly's for the cross, and Walmart to get some more poly fill. The head to the church to find the cloths for the cross, and then Sign practice and church prayer.
Busy day.
Oh. And the man just called about the Motorhome. He isn't getting it. He said he has to put a roof on his house and blah blah blah.
That means that Dad has a whole $16 left after he pays all the stuff that needs paid. And I have got $10 that I gotta put in the gas tank so I can go to church and do my errands for church.
But. God will provide.
Did the Romans decorate crosses with Easter Lilies? :P
My parents are getting to where they are not safe to leave alone. Mom said while ago that dad had a spell on her while they were at town yesterday and his sugar was extremely low when they got home and she checked it. He doesn't historically have sugar problems. He doesn't eat and drink like he should really I don't think sometimes. These poor old people. *sigh*
Yes. Good thing about the things I have to buy for the cross, I don't need money. The church funds pay for that.
Are there going to be crates around the cross as well?
There might be.
I just handed dad my savings money that I had saved for the meetup. :smirk2: He has to have gas to get back and forth to town for dialysis and hyperbarics this week. They have to amputate two more of his toes as well, after his hyperbarics are finished. He has 16 more two hour sessions.
Headed for the shower. I'm behind schedule, but I guess it's ok. I'll live.
*leaves a hug for Melb*
I made a great impression on the people in the banks today!! I slipped across a floor!! IT WAS GREAT (i'm still laughing about it)....
In other sharing news I am going to pray tonight WOO.
"Hello Jesus, I'm your favorite, Did you miss me?"
*Hugs* Mel really tight
No real news about Vincent.

Might not be what you want though. But here's hoping it includes being at Petit Jean.
Amen.
I'm sure dad will pay me back when he does sell the motorhome. But I'm not gonna ask. And it wasnt much, but it was what I had especially FOR the trip.
Anyway. God is good. I have wonderful friends who make me laugh and smile. And who truly love me. :)
Headed to run my errands and get to church.

Mel, I just looked up the oven-cooked bacon link you sent me to make sure I remembered right, 'cause I want to do BLTs tonight. :) So. Here goes my experiment. :) Gonna get the bacon cooked ahead of time, 'cause this evening is looking to be very busy.
:beret:
Gonna head to church shortly.... Teaching tonight because the other minister was busy and pastor had a tooth pulled today.
Teaching; Worship the ultimate form of submission.
Or something along those lines.
We had midweek service last night but no cell groups this week due to MO youth convention.
Last night the teacher taught on some awesome fulfilled prophesies of Jesus. So I thought I'd share:
Sunday is considered the first day, though Jews call it just the first day or Day 1. Day one is called the day of deliverance. God created light, Noah landed the ark, Israelites crossed the Red Sea, and Jesus came into Jerusalem; all on Sundays.
Sunday, of the "Holy Week" had the little spotless lamb brought into Jerusalem. They petted, praised God, fanned with palm leaves, excited that the reproach of God would be taken away. Shortly thereafter, Jesus came through, they did the same things thinking Jesus would be a political king and not realizing the "lamb" significance.
The first few days they inspect the lamb. The first few days Jesus was interrogated. They fastened the lamb to a wooden post, Jesus was nailed to wood. The lamb was to be slain at 3 o'clock at which time the priest would declare that it was finished, Jesus died at 3 o'clock saying "It is finished."
Side note: traditions and paganism came up. Easter egg hunts started as a lesson for children about seek and ye shall find and the scripture where it says even evil fathers give their children bread, not stones, eggs, not scorpions. And that we have to not give Pagans credit for good things. Pagans were the first ones to put perfume under their arms! Pagans were the first one to put plants in their home. There were some more but it was pretty funny. I'm not going to stop wearing deoderant just cause pagans invented it... LOL
Also, at the Last Supper, where Jesus washed the disciples feet... That Jesus told Peter he'd have no part of Him if he didn't let Him wash his feet... that we cannot come before Jesus by our own righteousness but much be washed by Him to be accepted. Another type/shadow of baptism.
Anyways.. fun stuff I learned. (:
Seth, did you ever find the money your grandma gave you?
That's cool stuff Melodya.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for our friend Vincent. He's home from the hospital, doing much better. Apparently it WAS the rare migraine thing, because he started feeling better almost instantly when they gave him that particular medication. So thankful it wasn't one of the other (more severe or life-threatening) possibilities they were guessing at first. Thankful to know the Healer. :)

We're going to a wedding in Tulsa on Saturday and then visiting our friends on Sunday that just moved to OKCity to help with a church there, well one of the suburbs.
They have afternoon service so I wanted to stop and see the Porters but I don't think we can swing it. We'll have like a 6hr drive home after church.
Cool News: my sister with the twins is coming with her whole clan, new hubby and all to the wedding. I know it's time to move onto something else when I want to post on FB that resposting some prayer or declaration about Jesus means squat. I don't repost simply because they always make it sound like only real Christians repost. Makes me wanna slap their mama. Total retardation I tell you.

I'm safe to say this cause I know she most likely won't read it. And even if she does by some chance, I don't care. If she is back on this board that means she is trying to do better and she won't kill me for what I'm about to say. It's truth...
She has given up on God and church at the moment. She had gotten involved in the wrong kind of people and backslid, that's basically the jist of it. Now she rarely texts me, and when she does, she will "flaunt" her sinfulness to me. I have tried to talk to her about things, but right now she is unresponsive to anything I say about God.
She hasnt been around GP for obvious reasons, but the main one being that she felt like she didn't fit in and no one cared anyway. She says aside from me, no one talks to her anymore, and so they must not care. I hadn't mentioned it before now cause I didn't want to say anything until someone asked. I didn't want her to think I came in here and coaxed y'all into reaching out to her.
But she definitely needs prayer. As far as I know she isn't going to any kind of church right now and she is still hanging with the wrong people and doing the wrong things.

I AGREE!!
I hate that whole "if you love Jesus you will repost, if you don't then just move on" mess. Makes everyone feel guilty into reposting!
And furthermore! It's been my experience, that 95% of the time, the people that are the ones who continually post that stuff is the people who KNOW the truth, and have backslid! They know better! Posting those things on your FB is NOT gonna make you right with God, and people are not that dumb! They can tell by your pictures and language that you dont really mean what you say! Posting that stuff dont make you look holy! Drives me insane to see that!
/rant
I tried to call her a couple of times and she never responded. This was a long time ago though.
You can't be offended unless you don't want to forgive.
That is really sad. I know that church is full of good people. Isn't ironic when people get upset at others, they take it out on God?

You're so sweet, Mel. I rarely say "Good morning." In fact, I've heard you talk about greeting people when you enter the room and I was taught the oposite. To not draw attention to yourself and wait for someone to greet you, unless you are an elder, leader for that situation. The whole speak when you're spoken to philosophy, having reverence. Neither is better or worse, but I notice the cultural difference. In my mind, I'm thinking, "who am I to cause everyone to turn and look at me, but I will stand aside and hear what others are and have." But I think that when you come in greeting that you are essentially paying respect to those your coming in contact with, right? So same goal, different approach.
When it comes to out in public though, we are to be salt and light so I do greet and start conversations sometimes.
What blows my mind on FB lately is a graphic that says "If you've been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and not afraid to shout it, then share" and most of the folks that I've seen posting it lately aren't oneness. I wonder if they even read the graphic.
Lots of Trinitarians use Jesus name and baptize by submersian. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to spell that word right now.. lol

All that traveling around you do can't be good for a person. I read that in the newspaper at the supermarket check-out line.
I also read about the mean old doctor that separated two siamese twins, but then when he found out the parents couldn't pay he sewed them back together again. That's a great little newspaper.

I'd rather have Pepsi over coke. Unless it's McD....coke should only come from McD....
But our McD don't have pepsi anyway haha...
Taco Bell, Long John Silver and Arby's are really the only few places that have pepsi up here...fast food wise anyway!
Taco bell has Pepsi, so I get Mt Dew there. There is something about the flavor of that fake Mexican food that the flavor of Mt Dew marrys so well with. :fork:
I tried Taco Bell's new Dorito Taco yesterday...it was ok...shell was way to crumbly. But Taco Bell has the overall worse fake mexican food ever...

I'd rather have and do have Taco Bueno than Taco Bell....yeeck! lol
Much better and fresher than Taco Bell IMO
OH most def!
You need to come to Texas!! lol
Bueno is the best ever.
And I drank a Pepsi in Mel's honor...lol
:ugly:
Y'all are gross.
I'm not fond of carbonated drinks to begin with, but if I have to drink one, I'd pick Pepsi over Coke ANY day. Coke is just nasty. *lol* But really, I'd pick Dr Pepper or an old fashioned cherry soda over the other options. ;)
Today is one of those I'm-the-rope-in-a-game-of-tug-of-war days. Getting pulled everywhichway. Having a hard time focusing on anything for long.
:beret:
Went to work. Went to Menard's and got nails and wire for the breeding pen expansion that I didn't get built yet because I worked on stuff at the church last fall until my guts rotted out and rendered me disabled for a couple months..... :smirk2:
I'm tarred. Just ate. Need to do a little fowl tending in a bit and get ready for church.
:dead:
Headed to the shower and to get dressed for church. I made chicken and dumplings for dinner and it was yummy.
I loved Pepsi. But I am boycotting it since Pepsi said they weren't going to stop using the fetal tissue flavor enhancers. No thank you.
It's leftover night. My sis is driving in during the wee hours of the mornin' and I want everything convenient and efficient. No bigger irritation than standing around trying to figure out what everybody's going to do... lol
It's funny how even me, a person that HATES shopping and new clothes, can feel pretty good when I have a new outfit on.
Sis Ramsey got me three new tops, and Kimber bought me two under-shirt tops and I put them together with my old faithful black skirt and I am feeling great wearing something new! Yay!
Hello, I am well, Good bye.
Hello. I am alive. Goodbye. :hypocrite:
*laugh* You crazies.
ISAAC!!! Check your email. :bigcheese:
:beret:
Lord. Been working on rusty. He's kicked my tail tonight. :biglaugh:
And I've got an offer to trade the 'vette for a BAD awesome Harley sportster. Apehangers, lowered, hotrodded.... exactly opposite of what you'd expect a cop or a preacher to ride. I love it. :laughhard: Me and the owner will be working on a deal......

Praise the Lord!
Had a good service tonight, and got to talk to a few people about some things that needed talked about. Lol All is good in Mel-Mel land.
:bigcheese:
And my God is working things out with our house situation, and he is HEALING my Daddy's toes! Yay! They are currently black, BUT not as black as they were just yesterday! The pink and red is creeping back into the black parts and when it is totally healed, he won't have the need to have them amputated! We are believing the Lord that the pink parts will continue to grow and the black parts continue to shrink! Thank you Jesus!
I hate motorcycles. They are SO loud. I hate loud noises. And DFW motorcyclers (one's that drive fancy speed ones anyway - not the old biker club gangs) are RECKLESS. Weaving in and out of traffic. It's very scary!
I am extremely sleepy, but so excited that it's hard to relax, I serve a GREAT GOD!

One evangelist said he was going to preach a revival and he drove up to the pastor's house on his bike. The pastor's wife looked out the door, her eyes got wide and she vanished. Then the pastor came to the door, and from the look on his face he was expecting trouble. They didn't expect a minister to be riding a bike either. :biglaugh:
In other news, slow day at work today. Which was great, because I got little sleep last night. Just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. Been running on caffeine all the work day long.
In other, other news, gonna pop down to Jackson tomorrow to see a lady about a laptop. I already have four, despite continually giving away the lowest powered computer in my arsenal every time I get a new one. So now I'll have five. Hmmm... wonder who I can find who needs a laptop? :P
If you have a decent laptop that needs a home, I will take it, and take good care of it.. As long as it's been trained, has a good temper and will listen to me.

I would tell your Dr. about that. And I would fast a few days to cleanse my system. Something is going on if you have to force yourself to eat good food. Seriously. If there isn't some outside influence like major stress, then there is an issue you're going to want to take care of now.
Yay! My sister's family is here and we finally got them all tucked in. It's bright and early to make breakfast and then take my sis shopping for a suitable dress to wear to a wedding. I myself am coming up short. Most my clothes are business casual or suits. Not exactly light and pretty for a spring wedding. Ah.. we can't all be pretty I guess.

Morning, all. I am up and about. Fixing to make Chey and me French Toast. I didn't work the part time gig today because Chey is out of school for Good Friday, thus no babysitter..
Apehangers. I never knew what those silly things were called... makes sense. :laughhard:
Poor Roscoe would literally have to hang from them.
I guess I may try to mow the stinking yard....the place will be a jungle before long if I don't...blah. It's cold out today, good day for it I guess. lol
Just woke up. My head is throbbing and I'm still dizzy. Gonna go eat and see if that helps.

A friend is driving up to have tea/coffee with me this morning. :D SO looking forward to it. Having constant adolescent conversations and very limited adult conversations is draining.
:beret:
Geese are flying north
The air's no longer chill
If Christmas hasn't busted you
Then taxes surely will
Well my head is no longer throbbing. Thank the Lord! It must have been sinus cause I took a sudafed and ate some leftover Mac and cheese and it's almost completely gone now.
I've also cleaned up the kitchen, got clothes in the washer, dishwasher going and supper started. AND Easter dinner layed out. Tonight we are having beef stir fry. Made from NY strip steak, and oriential veggies. Sunday I have a small ham layed out, and I'll figure out what to go with that tomorrow or so. Lol
I feel productive eventhough that wasn't a whole lot.

Haha. We don't talk near as much as we used to! So it's not me she is talking about!
And no, Darling, I didn't forget to eat. I had pickles, cheese and sweet bell peppers dipped in ranch last night before I finally crashed. So it wasn't cause I was hungry. And I know I forget to eat a lot, but not that time cause I was really hungry after church. It shouldn't have worn off and made me have a throbbing headache like I did at 6:30. I should have still been full. And I was. Eating was the last thing on my mind then, cause I was nauseated.
I'm good now. It's still there a little, and I'm drinking coffe. I ate, and took the sudafed so hopefully all of that mixed will take the rest of this pain away.

All my laptops are well trained. If I get one that does disobey I either teach it better or chunk it. But, if I remember the specs on yours correctly, your current computer is better than the lowest powered computer I'll be ejecting.
SERENDIPITOUS SHARING: So today I was going down to Jackson to see a lady about a laptop. Unfortunately I awoke at about 7am, with only 4.5 hours of sleep, and couldn't get back to sleep. So I got up, got ready and left early, intending to park in a parking lot and take a nap before the noon meeting. I thought McDonald's might get a bit touchy about someone taking up a parking space for an hour when he wasn't even buying anything there, so I drove down the road a bit to where Hobby Lobby used to be. Big parking lot, nobody would even notice me.
But lo and behold, there was a Goodwill there! Eh, I'll just pop in and take a quick look around. Oh wait, here's a whole rack of CDs! And some of them are christian music!
Never did get that nap in...
used to have
They have a lot of christian music there. But they don't anymore. :D
I'm psychotic.
We know.
I just found my Easter shirt, now if I could only find the skirt I have in mind, I dread holidays and new clothes.
Then don't mess with the whole thing if you dread it. Trust me, nobody will notice if you wear something you have worn before. The only way they will notice is if you DO wear something new, but if you don't they won't think "Hmph! She didn't get a new outfit for Easter." I have no idea why it works that way, but it does. People never notice a lack of change.
EDIT: And of course, being a guy, I take full advantage of this and never get new clothes just because it's Easter. :D

Boy do I relate right now, Cheese. I got on the lawn mower and started mowing. While mowing under one of our peach trees, I forgot to duck and got popped in the head. Now I have a popknot the size of a quarter on my forehead, and I'm dizzy as what, to say nothing of the headache....

You all do see it in my picture I posted right? Or am I going crazy? Don't answer the latter...

:sadbounce:So. My brother and his wife and kids showed up today. We had a GREAT day! They went to the nursing home with us, and Chad spoke, it was great. Then after all our practices were done and over with, they came over to our house and we had a really good prayer meeting. It was almost an hour. Apparently the reason they came today was to pray for dad. :) they left and now I'm just fixing to round up something to eat, and then watch a little NCIS. Ann brought me season 8 today.
:hi:
Oh, and BTW, that :great: thing on my gender, and all the other females of this board, is back to normal. It's the little blue female symbol again.

I am excited about all the new things, and that I get to see my sweet Kiddos again. :D

Happy Easter, all! Don't forget the reason we celebrate amongst all the pigging out I know y'all are gonna do.
I'm back at work. Potluck after 2 o'clock service, which means I'll get there just in time to eat. :fork: I enjoyed a pleasant drive in this morning in the Corvette. Couldn't resist. Funny how a drive is so much more enjoyable when you are in a vehicle you like. :hi:
I'm up. Had a shower. I really could have slept a bit longer though.
eek....
Didn't make it to church. Again. Mom made a fuss of being here to see the family since my dad is in and my sister appeared. So of course mom isn't here and everyone hates me. I'm so tired of being treated horribly when I do nothing but bend over backwards for these people. My family hates me. Everyone in Brandon's family [except his dad] hate me. People at church have nothing to do with me unless I'm at every single church function. If you miss one you're disowned. [and Wednesday's are pretty much impossible with my work schedule]. I'm just tired of feeling like the 1 woman freak show.... :sadbounce:

:hi: Hello, everyone. It's a beautiful day. :)
Bleh.
What's bleh? It IS a pretty nice day out.
In other news, if you have ever wanted to try microwaving a cheesecake... don't. I tried it last night and the result was not encouraging. It tastes good enough to eat, but vastly inferior to a real, oven baked cheesecake.
The dog and cat liked the crunchy outside part though. Which is good, because I didn't. They can have it.
It is PURPLE. I took a pic and I'll post it to prove it. :P
Our service was amazing today! We implemented the new format and it went exactly like we wanted! It was great! Plus we had an awesome move of God!!
We all went to the catfish place and had a good lunch. Now I'm at home and my brother and his family are on their way home. I think it's time for a nap.
KIMBER. Thanks for the candle...I took it out of the box and now my room smells like chocolate. :yum:
Mel - It looks like purple from here.
Thank you! Finally someone agrees with me!
If anything, it's lavender.
How many meetings did it take to formulate the new format?
Lets see...the one where we discussed MAYBE changing it up, then Wes had to meet with bro Ramsey, then innovate met and discussed it again, then we had to meet with Bro Ron, the Music Minister so he could get on board, then Wes met with Bro R again, then we presented it to the staff, and then we met again with the chorale to explain how it would all pan out. Soooo how many is that? Not to mention how many other times we "met" and talked about the changes over the last month a a half...informally.
NOT KIDDING. Kimber can vouch for me. Lol
You're welcome, glad you liked it, thanks for my.... um well... you didn't even give me a hug, oh well, that's how we roll you can get me next time.
For the record I have NO IDEA what she's talking about. Mel made the change sound easy, we also met after every service for practice and additional practices on saturday. So keep adding meetings sister girl, cause you missed some.
Haha! Yeah. I was gonna hug you, but Ann swooped in and gave you a gift and I got distracted by my kids...you know me, I have a short attention spa...oh look! A moth...
And as for the meetings and all, I blanketed all the practices and meetings in the thing I said about the informal meetings where we discussed changing. I didn't want to tell him how much we REALLY talked about it and how much effort it took to change these people! Haha. ;)
You will get a hug. Dont worry. I have plenty. And I may even scrounge up some money to get you a late gift. :bigcheese:
And what did this great change entail anyways?
Basically having the service pre-planned, instead of no one knowing what song to do next, and just going by feelings and stuff, we have a schedule and try to stick to it. And not having a set worship leader, but everyone on the platform taking ownership of the worship, and everything flowing together seamlessly to portray one whole message from start to finish instead of lots of scrambled mini messages throughout.
Of course, if the spirit moves and changes the direction of the service, the schedule for that day goes out the window, and that's always welcome, but it was nice to know exactly what we were to do today instead of looking around and wasting time figuring stuff out on the fly.
Usually in our church the pastor or whomever is leading the service will ask someone right before service "Would you sing tonight?" Unless something is already planned, like a sign team song they've been practicing for tonight or something.
Our services are pretty structured like that already. Unless the spirit moves, or Pastor is in a strange mood, or it's a special service.
Praise singers always practice 15 till prayer. Pray for 30 mins. Then we gather in Pastors office (connects to prayer room) for pre-service prayer for platform people....then we all file out single file onto the platform...that's the indication for the congregation to stand, someone reads scriptures, then we begin the song service....typically 3 songs, an offering song, then special singing...if any....then Pastor gets up to preach!
That's a typical service schedule for us. lol The only variation to Sunday night is that we start the service off as a meet and greet....everyone goes crazy talking to everyone they can....then the scripture reading starts and we do 2 praise songs, offering, then the choir sings...unless God moves, then sometimes the place blows up!
For Melb and Ruby - my non fru-fru lovelies....

There are like 20 Pentecostal churches within 30 minutes of us...good churches too. I believe there are 3 or 4 of us with Jayess addresses. He could go to any in this area...
Nate Lamb. We go to the Bryant's church, in Canton. :)
Made it home safely from my trip last night. Sure didn't want it to end. I only get to see my friends and family back home a few times a year, and each time, it gets harder and harder to leave. :sadbounce:
Today at work the kids were HORRIBLE! It was so much harder to go back after this weekend than it was after having a full week off for spring break. On a positive note...only 33 more school days until I have a 3 month vacation from work!!!
:freaky2:
Vacations are the best thing about working at the school.

My beloved is here... *smooch*
I'm tarrrrrred, Lord help.....
Tomorrow I am going to be cleaning lady for my sister on a job, and then will do another hit on card crud..... Stupid holidays.....bah.
I'm home. Went and celebrated Granny's birthday with a surprise party at her daughters house. Turned into a prayer meeting! Lol then went to the church and did my cleaning.
Fixing to get my Jammie's on and then watch some NCIS.
:hi: Morning, all. Back at work. Have done very little constructive the past few days, thus not much to post. Done a little work on Rusty last night. Enjoying my pleasant, middle-aged, boring life.... :P
Fixing to go clean....then see how long that takes and hit a card store or two...

Got Lima beans in the crockpot with onions and a ham bone. I started them last night. Gonna make cornbread and have sliced onions later. A good ole southern poor mans meal! :fork:
Oh, and good morning everyone!
:hi: I'm at work. Been busy this morning. Too many phone calls.

I'll be right over. What time are we eating? :D
I need something for lunch...but we are about out of everything! Idk what I'll eat. Lol
Haha...Isaac, we usually eat around 5ish. Give or take. Depends on when or if dad ate lunch, we pretty much revolve around him since he's the sick one.
So if you are here around 4:30, you will make it.
I'm actually close enough I could make it, if I broke a few speed limits. But I'll be at work at that time. Your supper beats my supper, for I will probably be eating blackeyed peas from a can.
Well you are welcome to. We will have plenty. I just did one bag of dried beans, but that makes quite a bit.
Do y'all crumble up the cornbread and mix it in the beans? That's the only way I know to eat it, but some prim-and-proper people blanch when they see me doing it.
Yep. Thats the only way. :yum:

Nate Lame is DEFINITELY "Nate Dog"!!
His sister Esther and her husband go to church in Tylertown to Bro Smith's. His sister Rebecca and her husband go to our church. His parents and other siblings (as far as I know) go to Pine Grove to Bro Rocko's.
Ok. For some reason i was thinking that bro rocko was the pastor of new bethel. Shows how much I know lol. So..your pastor is a bro Robinson?

That is correct. Nate and his sisters along with most of the youth of Pine Grove pastored by Bro Rocko went to our church school...and have done so for years. The churches have been super close for as long as I can remember.
Hello, Beloved, you're looking quite dashing in your new avatar....
I am so tarred....
Cleaned at these apartments that my niece normally does for my sister...it's the common hallways....most of the ones today were 3 floors.... Cleaned a while, went to Wal-Mart to use the potty and did my 2nd card job call while I was there, came back and cleaned more.... 7 of the 13 sections done.... Most of the ones left to do are 2 floors not 3, thank God.... Went and did another card stop after that for a little bit....
Lord help me.....

I use to visit every church I could get to.
It has been YEARS since I have been any where around the area.
I was a young girl he very well may not remember me.
Went to work, came home. Time for music stuff. :D
Bah. It's a wet gloomy day and I'm at work. And Rusty's repair job is getting on my nerves. Gotta go buy another tool- at this rate, I'd have been cheaper to take him to a shop and let someone else have the headaches. :reaction:
Anyhoo- have a great day!
I'm at work.
Kinda cool/cold here but it's sunny.
Had a great weekend. I don't know if I should bore you with the details but God was in it all. My sister in Maryland brought 6 (marines) people to church on Sunday and 2 got baptized and got the HG! They already have them set up for Bible studies on base. Becky is on cloud 9. She's not just a new convert, she is a soul winner. PTL!
My other sister, Elizabeth, with the twins came down to OK. with us. Now this is her husband, Bryce's first time to be exposed to any Apostolics besides Nathan and I, let alone an Apostolic event, extra conservative style. He felt right at home.. lol He wore his best cowboy looking outfit, I was so amused but then there were like 3 other guys dressed almost exactly like him at the wedding!! Not only that but there was also some Indians, braids and all. Oklahoma never ceases to entertain me. The family loved on them and I feel like God wanted them to just be emersed in a non-confrontational experience of Apostolic culture. God is doing something! He's never been down to KC and my sis hasn't since she was preggo with the twins, 3+yrs. So even though plans have TRIED to happen, the first time they come down is to a wedding of family that my sis is not even close to, my mom's side of the family, we're step-sisters and Elizabeth has nothing to do with my mom. Craziness, God has a purpose. It was all awesome, wedding was adorable, reception was the fanciest thing I've ever been to in my life. I should read up on what all the forks are for... LOL
Easter was great. Jeremy, Robert and Nicole Whalen just moved to Edmond to help with the other church there. We had church with them and they are like a little home missions church. Our friends fit so well there and we're excited about what God's already doing! They are having a youth sectional thing there next month, can't wait to hear the reports!
Ok, so hopefully you weren't bored with the details.. lol (http://urduart.com/gallery/data/682/girly025_2.gif)
That's wonderful, MY. :D
Awesome! God is good!
I'm out running errands with Dad today. He got his check finally so after a week of NO MONEY at all, we are getting groceries and paying bills.
I don't remember if I've mentioned it previously but I am in love with this song by Gina Vera. My friend burned it for me and I'll send it in a zip file if anyone else wants it. It's called, "He's Not a Burden." It melts my heart EVERY time I listen to it and I'm not a music fene at all.

Did you hear what happened to young Luke Skywalker one time? Way back when he first began training, he and Obi-wan Kenobi were at a fancy dinner one night. Unfortunately at this time Luke was still basically just a farm boy from Tatooine, and when the fish was served he fumbled around with a knife for a while. Finally Obi-wan leaned over and whispered, "Use the fork, Luke!"
I read this and thought of Seth:
The LORD said:
Because the daughters of Zion are haughty
and walk with outstretched necks,
glancing wantonly with their eyes,
mincing along as they go,
tinkling with their feet,
(Isaiah 3:16 ESV)
:ugly: The last part reminds me of a conversation you had with my sister...while you were sitting in a parking lot...LOL
I just got a package! A nice neat little package! :sing:
And next Sunday I'll wear it to church and get someone to take a picture of it. You'll see what it is then.
I will say this, SippinTea does know what she's doing. She went on about how shipping makes wrinkles, but there was maybe one spot to iron on this thing when I pulled it out, and nobody would have noticed that one spot. And the wrinkles that were, probably would have fallen out on their own anyway.
Got a job interview at Chic-fil-a please pray!!
I am GONNA SCREAM!
Why does ONE youth member take it upon herself to get into everyone else's business when she has no business in it at all?
I got a text this morning from another Youth members mother, a not very nice text blessing me out for something that the other Youth member said that I said! And I didn't say it at all! I had just talked to this mother on Saturday about the situation, and now this girl is saying that I said something about the other girl and got her mother all involved and upset and that's not what happened! In fact, NOTHING happened. I don't know where this first girl is even getting this stuff from.
Now the mother won't text me back, and I can't call her cause she sleeps during the day and works at night. But you can bet I'm going to the mother of the girl who started this drama and get it taken care of. I may even go to Pastor cause it's not the first time lately that she has caused trouble with my Kids and sign team. :smirk2:

Oh and now neither of my cars are working again.

No, I'm not even kidding. It was actually kind of refreshing, in a cathartic way.

Prayer meeting was good. Pastor is sick. And in other news, I am taking moms wretched dog to the groomers tomorrow, :puke: but I get to drop him off and go spend a few hours with my favorite Bug while I wait for him to be picked up. YAY!
Then when I come home, Dad wants me to take him to the hospital. His toes are all the way completely black again, and he didn't want to go today cause he has a Dr Appointment tomorrow afternoon and he knows when he goes into the hospital he won't come out for a few days. He was almost crying today cause of the pain. It's bad. :sadbounce:
I'm having a panic attack.
Third day at work went well!
Bad news came in last night tho.. I mentioned before about prayer for Calvary's children's pastor. He received a bad report from the doctors yesterday. They've given him a few months to live. He's had cancer for a couple of years with some remission periods in the mix. Still believing God CAN change the report even in the midnight hour, but I'm also praying for him & his family... I can't imagine planning my own funeral and having what seems like a deadline on my time with my family!

Lord lord. Long day already. Took the dog to the groomers, had a playdate with Olivia, went and got the dog, brought him home, went to town, picked up dads homeless friend, took him to WM, got a few more groceries, came home, unloaded the truck, now waiting on dad to get home so I can take him to the hospital, Then maybe church, depending on what they do to dad.
Ok so...let me add to my above post.
I took dad to the hospital, sat in the waiting room for a bit, and they took him back to triage, he showed the nurse his toes, the nurse said that yes, they would most likely admit him, and get his toes taken care of, one way or another. But the nurse also said that the computer system crashed earlier today, and since then everyone and their momma had gotten sick or hurt and come in to the ER, including 5 ambulances (his exact words...) and that to BE PATIENT, and DO NOT LEAVE until someone looks at this foot, cause it may be a long wait. They only had ONE unoccupied room and the waiting room was PACKED....so we go back into the waiting room and wait. And wait. And wait. Two hours later...dad is starting to get nausauted and talking about going home. We remind him what the triage nurse said, and I get him a sprite out of the vending machine. We wait some more. Dad starts to get upset and starts raising his voice saying he will just go to wound care tomorrow and it will be fine. He would rather go home and go to bed. THEN he noticed that ALL THE PEOPLE that were there...even some of the ones that had come in AFTER us, they all have been called back to the ER, and he gets more upset. So he stands up and walks out. All Mom and I can do is follow. She drives Dad home in the truck, and I drove the death wagon to church.
We spent nearly three hours waiting for NOTHING.
*sigh*
This means tomorrow, he said he will go to wound care, and then BACK to the hospital for another long wait in the waiting room. So hopefully tomorrow it won't take as long to get him back into a room, and he can have this foot seen about.
I'll be taking him to wound care in the am.
Now I'm home. Tried to watch some NCIS, but my brain is NOT functioning well, so I'm going to bed.
Goodnight.
*hugs Melb*
Watching NCIS - I came just to say it makes me think of Melb!
Haha!! I love NCIS! I had never watched it till a few months ago, and because of my friend Ann letting me borrow the DVD sets, one season at a time, I am almost caught up to the current episodes. Don't know what I'll do when I finish this set. The season that is playing now on TV is already halfway through, and I'll be behind again. Could be next year before season 9 hits DVD. Lol

Well...it goes to show that our life is so weird, we never know what is gonna happen one day or the next. I woke up this morning cause dads phone was ringing really loud and he didn't answer it right away. Then he apparently called back the person who called and it was the funeral home lady. They have a body that needs to be brought here from Atlanta. It's good money and he needs it, so he asked me to go with him. So we are at wound care now, and if they don't send him straight to the hospital from here, we will go to Atlanta today and pick up the deceased woman.
:smirk2:
I smirk because for one, I know dad should go to the hospital and not take this run, and two, because Justin lives in Atlanta and I won't get to see him cause wouldn't ya know, he is in West Palm Beach, Florida this weekend visiting his mother. Blah.
Our daily life is so crazy. Never a dull moment.
And wouldn't you sometimes like to walk up to all those people who are always complaining of boredom, grab them by the hand (or throat, whatever) and drag them over to help you? :-?
I am going in search of some boxes...
There were some over by the church on Wednesday night. By the Masonic lodge.
I'm off to get some groceries in this cold gloomy weather. I think I shall have a cup of coffee first.
The cakes turned out SO good. I used a bit much food coloring though and they are dark blue. A pretty color for a wedding but not quite the smurfy color I was going for. It's really hard to eat blue cake and think chocolate though... isn't that funny?
EXCITED about the meet-up!
You should have blueberry scented candles burning in the room. Smell is the majority of what you think you are tasting (the tongue can only taste sweet, sour, salty, bitter and what the japanese call "umami," savory.) People would swear it's the best blueberry cake they had ever tasted.
ALL RIGHT PEOPLE! GET TO POSTING OR ELSE I'M GONNA START MAKING UP STUFF!

Nathan's almost home and he has never been to Costco yet, so he wants to go with to check it out. Hannah's favorite thing about that store... all the samples... LOL
I'm with Hannah. :bigcheese:

*whew, what a day
I have an eventful day to post about...but now I must get this cake in the oven.
Shrewby, I just packed a shipment of eggs to Oregon. Do me a favor and see that they get their safely. :P
Had a good night at work. Hectic, but I kept up. The guy who takes over while I go on break, he sure was glad to see me come back...
Just for the record, the Bible is right. If you have something against your brother, take it up with him personally and get it resolved. Don't go around complaining to other people. It's probably a misunderstanding anyway, that will be cleared up when you ask your bro about it. ;)
Ok so...WOW, what a day.
We headed to Atlanta, and had a lovely time. Dad doesn't like music on, or even preaching, so we talked the whole time. Not constant, but off and on. Dad drove till we got to Montgomery, then i drove the reat of the way. We get to Atlanta, and nearly got lost looking for the place to pick this lady up. Then I spotted a hearse and got excited. We pulled in, called the people to make sure we were at the right door, and then went inside. The paperwork wasnt ready, so we had to wait. But when we walked in the room where all the bodies were, there were two guys working on a dead guy in there! It was great! They were just finishing up the autopsy and I got to watch them sew him up and do some things to him that I won't go into detail about. It was pretty awesome. I never thought I would even WANT to see that, but when I wasn't expecting it and just walked in on it, it was cool. (I looked for Ducky, but he wasn't there... :( )
We got the woman we were supposed to and left. I drove all the way home. Got home about 11:30pm, and I am TIRED.
But I had to make a cake that I promised to take to the Wilson's tomorrow, so I'm still up now waiting on it to cool so I can pour the icing on it.
It was the easiest cake ever, and a piece fell off when I turned it out of the pan, so I sampled it. It's GOOD.
One box of chocolate cake mix, one can of coke. That's it. Egg free, and easy! My Bug will be able to eat it! Yay!
:hi:
Oh yeah, someone asked me a question... Sure SippinTea, you can use the pics if you think they'll be of use on the site. There won't be any shots of my head in it of course.
Good Morning, all. It's my day off, but instead of sleeping in, I came to at around 5 am. Since sleep obviously wasn't in the cards, I got up and cooked Lou breakfast- French Toast and fried Petit Jean bologna. It was ready and waiting when she stepped out of the shower. And I ironed her blouse.
* Roscoe pats himself vigerously on the back....Such a good Hubby. :P
Lou did say she was gonna brag on me today. Since she never posts her, I figured I'd do it for her. :laughhard:
And yes, RainbowJingles, I know YOUR hubby does things like this all the time. In my household, though, it's akin to walking on water. It just don't happen. :biglaugh: BTW, I told Taco to stop that mess, he's ruining the curve for the rest of us husbands. :pound:
:laughhard: :laughhard:
I should have called you. I was up at 5:30...on my day off.

Should have.
You inspired me. I have biscuits baking, sausage cooking, and we are fixing to start the eggs. We wont be having any CHOCOLATE GRAVY!!!
Y'all inspire me, but not enough to make breakfast. I'm gonna take a shower and get out of here instead. We got chorale practice today and I am TIRED!
/me is inspired as well!
I made pancakes. They were good. Tip for fluffy pancakes: add a bit of vinegar to your milk. Then I made some GF pancakes for me. FAIL. lol I guess I shoulda just stuck with my coffee.
Last night, Nathan had lost the lighter fluid. (Don't ask, he loses all kinds of stuff. Yesterday he "lost" his phone while going to the bathroom at Wendy's. Before he realized it, a co-worker called it and a guy answered and said he had just bought it for $30. So a couple of the guys from work went with Nathan to this ghetto grocery store and got his phone back. It was an ice cream truck guy. Life in KC. ) So he was trying all kinds of things to light it. I went ahead and started making Jambalaya just in case. Finally, his blow torch got it going. Never a dull moment around here.
It's a lovely day here though we're supposed to get crazy weather I think at some point. Andrew is out mowing the lawn. I have to go fill in for another gal who is down with the flu and normally does some church cleaning today.
I think I'd like to grow some lavender and make recipes with it.
:smirk2:
Wow. In preparation for the GP Meetup I've been cleaning up around the house. I got my small trailer loaded with an old cookstove, an old freezer, and a bit of aluminum siding off of an old camper I'm either restoring or destroying ( appears to be the latter). I figured I might get $10 for all of it, and would get the junk outta my yard, which was the main idea.
Chey and I took it to the scrapyard and walked away with $41! Thank You Lord for a blessing. And as an added bonus, Chey got three boxes of "poppers"- the little fireworks gimmick that explode when you throw them on the ground- given to her. She was overjoyed. As for me, I think I'm gonna start scrapping for a part time job. Apparently scrap metal prices are sky high... :o
Cheese - I'm on the job. *nods wisely*

PREACH!
:beret:
:hi: Been to some garage sales. Found a few things for the grands. :)
Okay I was a bit busier than I expected to be today. I was expecting nothing at all to do, which would have been boring. I forgot about cooking for 3rd Sunday dinner, and now I'm plotting something new - a cinnamon apple cheesecake, with lemon (lemon + apple = really strong apple flavor... don't ask me how.)
When will it be ready? Should I come by to sample it?
Ok so. I just got home. Been a great day! We had chorale practice up at the Wilson farm, and feasted on some awesome crawfish and burgers and such. Learned lots of new songs and got to fellowship with some of my favorite people.
I am better than Kimber at basketball...just sayin. ;)
And this morning, we were in the studio learning new stuff, and Kimber was sitting beside me, writing down some stuff and she make the remark that she wanted to just take the pen and shove it thru my eye. Cause I kept looking at her.
Then she tried to write on me, so I rolled up my sleeve and told her she could give me a tattoo. So she did. On my arm. She wrote "Jesus is for Losers" on my arm in a red pen. LOL! But that's not the funny part. She did that, and I put my sleeve down and didn't think of it again. So just awhile ago, I got home and came to my room. I started to change into my PJs and when I took my shirt off, I caught a glimpse of that "tattoo" on my arm and I gasped! I though I had developed a rash or a burn of some sort! Then I remembers that Jesus is for Losers, like me.
:bigcheese:
For the record, I was trying NOT to show off unlike SOME people :hypocrite:, and I would like you to know that I use to play basketball in school. THEREFORE, I would have easily been able to beat you, had I been in the right shoes!!
As far as the, "She makes the remark that she wanted to just take the pen and shove it thru my eye. Cause I kept looking at her." YEAH I said it, so what are you going to do about it? I would have stabbed you too had it not been for the fact I did not want to stain my white shirt.
I would just like to add that Mel threatened to kick me in my face, :eek!: and I told her she could not get her foot that high, and that I would kick her in the face first before she kicked me. Then I actually had my foot less than an inch from her face before she could blink! Simply because I was ninja today!
I have no comment on the tattoo. :eyebrow:
She did nearly kick me in the face! I had flashbacks of middle school. :o
And if you are so confident that you can beat me on the court, then PROVE IT. I may be a big girl, but basketball is one sport I am pretty good at, so put your money where your mouth is and let's play. I'll take YOU to school.
Such violence :yikes:
You better call the ref chica, because the dust from my chancla is all you will see, te vas hacia abajo!
:argue:
Got new fuel injectors for the Passport. So GP meetup still not likely but more likely. If that makes any sense.
Went to the State Museum. Saw Bible's belonging to Robert E Lee and Stonewall Jackson. Really awesome! Walked around Columbia. The State House is cool. Alot of monuments and memorials. The building itself is marked with bronze stars where damage was done by Union artillery during the Civil War. It was quite cool. We both agreed we could live here. Not sure I'd like the humidity in the summer but every place has their quirks.
Thought about finding a church to visit in the am, but we have to check out and Brandon would be abandoned as I'd have the car. But we're heading for Charleston tomorrow.
Preparing for a good old fashioned Oklahoma Twister Fest...packing up essentials, backing up computer, getting everything ready in case we get a tornado right through the middle of our house. House insurance is paid too...LOL
One guy I know posted this on FB:
Wow! M_____ P_____ has messed with my mind today with her tornado readiness emergency evacuation bag! Made me stop to ponder what I'd put in mine if I was to prepare one....one twelve pack of Reese peanut butter cups in case we need a snack, three bottles of soft drink because we need it to wash down the candy and one bottle would never last in my family, one flashlight so we could see to serve our snacks, one package of tums because who want to be trapped with someone who has a stomach problem, my Bible, especially since Sis. M_____ may be reading this, a pen and tablet of paper so I could start my novel in case were trapped for a long time or my last will and testament in case were trapped for a really long time, another twelve pack of Reese since all this talk of being trapped makes me fear that one package would not be enough, a gun, not that I'll need one but just o appease all my 'right to bear arms' friends, my dictionary so I can continue my words with friends game with Sharon, Angie and Lisa (they're all to good for me otherwise) my favorite green tie becase I'd really hate for it to get blown away, and lastly my iPad so I could remain connected to all of my friends as they have been my lifeline over the last several months !!!! Okay, now I'm ready!
Went to church. Had the Naimys, missionaries to the Philippines. Came home. Gotta go finish fowl tendation.
May the bird of paradise dirty on all your car windshields today.
So yeah...today is April 15th. Tax day. But what that also means is that Sonic is having Happy Hour ALL DAY today, and not just from two-four. So go partake in half-price drinks and slushies!
Yay! Happy tax day!
This has been a public service announcement. No moderaters were harmed in the announcing of this event.
I was. I was brutally beaten.
I wanna help :pound:
:reaction:
We had 106 people in church today! Yay! And one more baptized!
Hoping to make it to service tonight. I could really use it. :smirk2:

Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke of Earl, Duke, Duke, Duke of Earl, Duke, Duke, Duke of Earl.....
Its raining :noo:
It's pouring, old Babs is snoring. :hypocrite:
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
So tonight I wore the item I ordered from SippinTea. Pics in the Trends of Bend thread, over in Flea Market forum. Take a look. I like how it turned out. And for some reason I really like how it swirls when I turn. Gabardine, it turns out, is a great material, but one I had never heard of before this project.
And SippinTea, those are the original pics. No higher resolution available. There was one other pic, but it came out all blotchy for some reason. Looked like the picture had sustained water droplet damage.
:smirk:
Fantabulastic church today. Had some awesome people over for lunch. Been here for 6 yrs and this is our first time hosting them. I love people. We belly laughed about our influx of hilarious church stories recently with new convert characters. I'm curious about God's sense of humor cause sometimes it takes all I have to not just BOL at some folks. Not condecendingly, cause I love their uniqueness, I recognize their sweet hearts for God. Humans are just funny, plain and simple.
Going to

Morning!
I'm up and at 'em. Headed to early prayer at the church with Granny and Ann. I may in fact grab ahold of one of them and pray her through. Sometimes, that's just nessessary. ;)
:hi:
I'm at work. That is all.
I'm at work. And I'm tormenting some of my friends- some of you- with Bible verses by text.. my favorite today- Proverbs 6:9-11 . :laughhard:
Feeling very pensive this morning.

It's the gloomiest Eeyore kind of weather here that you've ever seen. And unfortunately, my mood is more Eeyore-ish than Eeyore himself. The combo isn't good just now. So tired of stress and tension and questions and... ah, skip it. Now I'll go try to find something cheerful to do. :)
Oh! Btw, for those of you that remember Titushome, they had their baby boy shortly after midnight last night. He's 10 lbs 2 oz, has a big head (therefore had to come by c-section, since he couldn't seem to make an appearance any other way), and about 19 inches long. Don't know for certain on a name yet.
:beret:
*sigh
It's just one of those days...
Glad the baby is OK.
The forum used to always tell me there was a new post when I was trying to post something but stopped doing that recently and I almost or maybe do miss things now.

If you were to look up ornery in the dictionary, there would be a picture of you!
See, my computer won't let me do ANY search engines so I just posted from a saved smiley site. And they don't have vet smileys, or lemon smileys, or performing art smileys, Heather!
Get Firefox, it has an embedded google bar by default. :D
Or Google Chrome.
Oh, I also cannot download anything, especially antivirus updates. Yeah, I used to somewhat understand computeres. I've regressed.
Go to photobucket, they have lots of smilies/smileys.
I found Heather! :bigcheese:

Those are quite amazing!!!
I've been really thinking/praying about trying to make the meetup....
Wow...y'all filled up three pages today!
Love the smileys for me, and the one of Kimber and I! You just don't know how accurate that is! ;)
And Sandra... :pound: I saw yours. :smirk2:
I went to the church like I said I was going to. Then went to breakfast with Granny and Ann, and Ian. After that, Ann and Ian and I went to the bible bookstore. Then I went back to church and cleaned, talked to granny some more, then had a meeting at Pastors house. Then I came home and cleaned the kitchen, took the homeless guys home cause dad didn't feel like it, and then came back home again and finished cooking the dinner I started in the crock pot at 5am today. Now I'm catching up on GP and chilling in my room.
I am PLEASED to announce that the trench is finished! And the washer, dishwasher and kitchen sink is now draining into the woods on the edge of the yard, and the septic tank has been drained, and the toilet actually flushes properly!! It's amazing how that simple action working properly can make you feel so much better! Yay!
Everybody flush to celebrate! :flush:
Why is Barbs AV showing up when I use the pound smiley?

You have the oddest problems when you post from your phone, dearie. *grin*
:beret:
What other choice do I have!? :pound:
Ok. It's normal now. I cleared my browser history on my phone. It worked. Lol
Mel, I don't know what you're talking about. The smiley I posted was for Mini, not you.
Quote from: The Purple Fuzzy on April 16, 2012, 06:44:29 PM
Maybe this could be Mini (http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff63/HealingSpiritForum/smilies-2.gif)

What if the job interfers with the meet-up?!?! :o
Wheres the meetup? Is it the same time as the meatup?
Mornin'!
Trying to work up some motivation to work on a couple new projects for the ToB website. So far the whole motivation thing is escaping me. Hmm... there's ice cream in the freezer. And cookies on the counter. Maybe having a snack would help. :hypocrite:
:beret:
I have steaks marinating.
Fixing to unload and reload the dishwasher. And try to find something edible for lunch.

I would throw a dirty sock as well, but with my shoes I don't need socks. :D

One and the same, my dear Sasquatch. :great:
Sasquatch? Hey, no fair! *I'M* the one they call bigfoot at church, cause of my shoes. No fair stealing names. :nono:
Time to post since it's page 21. ;)
Seeing how much we can get in before Seth wakes up?
He's awake, hes outside with the fowl. Murdering quail. :(
Same effect from our end, he's not here shutting down the thread. POST!
Post.
*sigh, yes, I was giving baby birds I just took out of the incubator heat strokes.
ugh.
:bustamove:
Truly sorry for the quail, though.
