So Ruby, about that recipe...
Mel, why are you up so early, the whole day is ahead of you go to bed.
I had intended to become a top poster, but I'm not sure I have that much to say, I'm only at 400 and something.
You will never beat me my friend!
And what you mean EARLY? I woke up at 9:30. That was late enough wasn't it?
Well. Pastor called and they were coming out here to shoot their new guns, and said they wanted to talk to me as well. :o I am always freaked out when they want to talk to me. I feel I am in trouble even when I have been being good. So they came, and then they asked me if I wanted to take over the mopping and stuff for Jimmy since he has a job now. I'll have to do it every Monday and Saturday. Its a paying job. Not a whole lot, but a little. And a little is a lot more than I have now! So I agreed and starting on Monday I will be mopping the kitchen, and 4 bathrooms, twice a week.
God provides.
That is all.
Yay for God's provision! In both big and little ways. :)
:beret:
Hey how do I get in on this? I could use the money.
Oh, Mel... ya know that book that I recommended to MY a few pages back?... The Do Hard Things book? Well, you need to read it too. :) And don't say I never told you about it when you wait 3 three years to read it and then come back here telling us how wonderful it is. Kinda like a few other titles I've recommended to you in the past... *ahem* :bigcheese:
:beret:

:pound: :pound:
My first post today- been busy. I had to turn in the rental car, go pick Lou's car up from the shop, and go by the library before I could come home. It was such a beautiful day, I cleaned the yard, mowed it, and got ready for a trip to the scrap yard. I've gotta get things straight so I can concentrate on Rusty.
While cleaning the yard- for those of you not on facebook - I found the first Copperhead of the season. He apparently had digestion problems- he didn't digest the bullet I fed him worth a darn.
Now- I'm off to put some pork steak in the oven for dinner. And, while I was at the library, I discovered an "Amish Friends Cookbook". Tons of recipes, some of which will make their way to my table this week. :fork:
First ones didn't quite look the way I intended. But maybe the second batch will. Then I have two more batches to go.
These cupcakes are also egg free. We go ahead and do egg free stuff for the youth if we can, cause Olivia is always mingling around, and if someone feeds her off of their plate, she won't get sick.

I had a good laugh at that one. Copperheads are serious business, and digestion problems are too, but that one made me laugh.
*kicks Seth for no reason other than that he was there*
Mel. I'm crushed. How could you roll your eyes at me and tell me to watch it? And in such a rude and disrespectful manner, too... when all I'm doing is trying to help you here!... *sniffles sadly*

Mel, you can substitute eggs in any baking recipe for ground flax. 1 TB of ground flax+ 3TB of water, let sit just for a few minutes= 1 egg. I just made Hannah's strawberry cake (going to be an ice cream cake with orange sherbert) and subbed all the eggs. It called for 3 eggs so I used 3TB of flax+ 9TBs of water set in the bowl for a few minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients. Flax is far less expensive as well in the long run than store bought eggs. It doesn't affect the taste but it is healthy. It will have the same consistancy of an egg. Flax is just a grain.
Kimber! I thought all this time you were already potty trained! :o
:flush:
In bathroom news, Dad has been working diligently on the plumbing problem, it's flushing really good now! :flush:
Ruby... Glad to see you around today...and in such a great mood too!
;) *HUG*
And Melodya...Krissy bought some stuff...powdered stuff for $6.99, and the one box has lasted her a LONG time, like over a year. 1.5 teaspoons of powder, 2 tablespoons of water = 1 egg. I used that and it works great! Mix it and it's all foamy like an egg white, and then just add it to whatever you make.
I have 39 green shamrock cupcakes cooling. I'll decorate them later. Gotta take Wayne home in a few mins.
I hate cupcakes. Ugh. Lol
I want TWO cupcakes, I wanna take home to bubby, He can not eat eggs either.
You can have mine, I won't be there to eat it.
WhY?!?!
I committed to helping Ann with Jimmy's party tomorrow.
I'm finished with all the cupcakes though!! They look better than I thought they would!

Eating an RBP. Gotta go finish shutting up the birds for the night.
I need to cut my hair before I take a shower...I don't want to, but it needs it...I don't know if the want or the need will win....
Dear lord.
Ok so, my share for tonight. I finished the cupcakes, and rested a bit. My back is still hurting today and I think I overdid it. So I hadn't eaten since about 2 and I made a lovely Refried bean bowl with fritos and rice, and all the good stuff, and I was headed to go to my room to get my jammies on and watch some NCIS. Well apparently, the grate on the A/C fell off and was laying in the DARK hallway. So I'm walking down there in the dark, bowl of my dinner in one hand and water bottle in the other, and my foot hits the grate that is flat on the floor and I start to slide. I landed flat on my back, lost all my stuff in my hands and my dinner was planted on my skirt. I just layed there in the mess and thought I would die there.
Dad hollered from the living room, and mom came to see what had happend. They ask if I'm ok, which I am...somewhat. So mom gets a towel for me, and then when I finally get up, and they had both disbursed, I notice that she had brought me a broom too. *sigh*
She was back in her room in front of the TV, and I was left by myself.
So I went to my room and changed clothes, and went back to put my clothes that have my dinner splattered all over it in the washer. Then back to the hallway. I scooped up all the mess as best I could and then proceeded to mop the floor with wet towels.
I'm back in my room now, my back and neck are throbbing like a mugg, and I just want to cry. I don't even feel like going in there and finding something else to eat.
*SIGH*
Why does this stuff seem to happen to me? And why do I feel like no one in my own home gives a crud?
Oh...and when I went to put my clothes in the washer, mom said "you should write a book called 'On the Way Down' and tell of all of your falling experiences."
Thanks mom. That's great. Glad to know you care.
I took this after I finally got up.

Thanks.
I feel better now. Although I went back to the kitchen, and nearly slipped again in the hall. Lord. But I got some cheese and ritz crackers.
Now on the big pic I see better what the deal was with the grate....great. :smirk2:

Your life as well as mine is fraught with unspeakable perils.

I think I hit my elbow on the wall or somewhere last night. It's kinda sore today.
But GOOOOOD MORNING!
I got homemade Mac and cheese for a party this afternoon, cupcakes for the youth party tonight, and I am excited! Gonna be a great weekend! Then my favorite Toehays are coming over for a lovely steak lunch tomorrow. My life is great! Despite all the troubles. ;)

The randomness from my morning:
~checked airfare to London for Sean
~turned the heat up 'cause I'm freezing
~gave the boys a mini lecture about being late for school - again - and how I may have to make them go to bed a half hour early next week, so's I can get them up half an hour earlier - since they can't seem to get moving in the morning and all. (I think just the threat of the idea will be enough to get them motivated. I hope. 'Cause I really don't WANT to get them up any earlier. *lol*)
~thinking about making tea or coffee 'cause I'm still cold
~need to get started on ToB orders for today
~need breakfast first, 'cause somehow I missed eating anything, what with planning a trip to London and all. *lol*

Hello from church. Gonna be here most of the day, looks like. I found out just this morning that our family swapped church cleaning weeks with the Austins and I gotta vacuum the whooooole thing when I wasn't expecting that till next week. Add cooking for tomorrow's church dinner and hauling the old siding to the dump, and it's a fairly full day.
And the pastor asked me to preach tomorrow and I have no idea in the world what I'll preach or when I'll have time to study.
If anyone is bored, suggest to them that they become a Christian. Ever since I got into this God stuff boredom has become a distant memory. Wouldn't trade it for nothin though. :thumbsup2:
*screams*

I am currently delighted with one particular child, and VERY irritated at the other. Funny how little things like faithfulness in small jobs and diligence and following through on assignments kinda makes that happen. Methinks when their dad gets home one is going to get a reward of some sort (he's really been going above and beyond lately) and another is likely to get a dad-lecture and an extra chore or two. *rWooby is trying not to growl*

Oh....and I have a new cat. Her name is Athena. She was in the city pound (which we house) and her time was waaayyyy over due. I couldn't let her be euthanized. She's just too sweet....

The kids said my cupcakes were great! I'm glad they liked them. ;)
When I woke up today I was expecting to bake a cheesecake and type the bulletin.
Today I did a hasty flea market search (failed to find what I wanted, they were not there this week, but I picked up some other stuff... you know how it goes with flea markets,) helped the pastor take some old vinyl siding to the dump, vacuumed the church, helped the pastor in the kitchen making stuff for church dinner tomorrow, came home and baked two cheesecakes (chocolate and lime,) went back to type the bulletin, came home...
And I still haven't worked up the sermon for tomorrow morning. But God and I talked about it while vacuuming, and He fleshed it out for me while I was mixing up the cheesecakes. No, I'm not joking. Don't look at me like that. I do need to jot down some notes though, so I won't lose my place and stall out mid-sermon.
Oh, and on the way back from the dump the pastor decided to stop by the local salvage grocery real quick for a can of some kind of soup. Big mistake - I found the CDs in the back and wiped out all the christian ones they had. Fortunately he wasn't in a hurry.
So yeah, today has turned out MUCH better than I expected. And I am tired. Goodnight y'all.
I want to go back to bed.
Me too.

Thanks for the cookies. They were awesome!
We had GREAT church! Then mom and I actually ran totally out of gas on the way home, Dad rescued us, and we went and cooked steaks on the grill for Wes and Krissy and Olivia. Had a great visit, and they JUST left. I straightend the kitchen up a bit and now dad and I are headed in town to go to the store. It's a GREAT DAY!
Girl this is the south, I swim in the creeks, it's a way of life here!
Minnows nibbling at you, sand stuck to you, and not being able to see from your waist down. We also cut open watermelons and spit the seeds, we throw cow patties and go tipping, then there is camo-wood hide and seek.
Ugh. I won't be swimming with ya then. I only swim in pools where I can see what is in there. or wade in the gulf. That's it. I'd rather sit in a kiddie pool than go in a creek or lake.
YUK!

I am so far behind I just passed myself.
So my Bible study lady/family has been spuratic in their attendance and I have been praying for them. They ALL came today and the boyfriend/husband (They've been together for 17 yrs straight, have kids, file taxes together, are common law married but have never just gotten REAL married, so I'm not sure what to call him but they are getting married SOON), he came and during SS, decided he needed to be baptised (again? he had said he already had been baptised in Jesus name) TODAY. So he got baptised, and prayed through.
After he had gotten the HG and someone came up and started harping on them about marriage and standards, he hadn't been back but one time. So this was GOOD. God is still working even when we don't seen Him. The laaaaaasssst lesson of our Bible study has been waning as every time I've made plans with them to have it, something makes it fall through. The devil has been fighting them.
So they brought a friend, Tiffany today. She was all teary eyed, feeling Jesus. She said she wanted a Bible lesson and my already Bible study lady says, "Let's just start the Bible study over and all do it together again." So I'm excited, another Bible study and to finish the one I started! I very much dislike not following through and need to see things completed.
Sorry such a long post. It was a good day today. ☺ OH and the Viet.pork chops were divine, got rave reviews. They weren't weird tasting at all. In fact I'm going to up the flavor next time.
Wow what a night!!!! One of our young people got filled with the Holy Ghost and a Lady who has been backslidden for many years got filled..... All before the preaching started!!! What a GOD we serve!!

That is the one single way in which my first job in southwest TN was better than my current job. My first job paid less, was more stressful, no air conditioning, smoke in the break room and bathrooms... but every time a storm came through the power went out. We had to wait a good 15 minutes or so for the lights and vents to come back up to speed. Where I work now, the power NEVER goes out. Most infuriating.
We have back up generators in the bldg so it is VERY rare for the elect to go off. Can't afford for the switches to go down.
So the girl who got fired now wants me dead. Awesome. I feel crappy enough about the whole situation and now everyone (with the exception of 1 girl there) I work with won't speak to me. I didn't even do anything except work a shift someone asked me to cover. Not my fault she had a long list of things she should have already been fired for. Not my fault my coworkers are drinking buddies with her. I'm half tempted to go ask for my job at Autozone back so I won't feel like such a leper......
I know men and women are different so this might not work for you, but in that situation I would do the job, don't antagonize, but don't apologize. If you did nothing wrong, don't worry about it.
At least it has worked for me. I've been there.

/me shoves Isaac out of the thread and *HUGS* Heather.
In other unrelated news, I am helping Ann give a girl named Heather a Bible Study tomorrow. :)
So that's what my Ian was saying!! The phone cut out so I was unsure what he meant. I am so excited that she is getting a bible study! Not fair that I have to miss it!!!
I wanna know EVERYTHING!!
YOUR Ian? :eyebrow:
Have you changed your mind about that?
I call you my Mel :pound:, and there is my Silla, my bob, my Isaac, AND MY SETH :freaky2:... Old habits break hard, at least it was not said to his face, I'm not a review typer. I just type and post, checking for errors come later.
Measure once, cut twice. Wait, is that how it goes...?
Haha. Just checking. And I agree...at least he didn't see you saying it. That would NOT be a good thing.
And lay off...it's MY SETH. :pound:
You should keep MY Seth from smooching on all these people, it's bad for his health, you know he catches EVERYTHING!! :argue:
:o
There are moments when I find it very difficult to NOT laugh out loud at my kiddos. Today had one of those moments.
Me (to Jason): I could so see you and Uncle David becoming baristas and having your own coffee shop someday.
Jason: What's a barista?
Me: A person that makes specialty coffee drinks.
Jason: Well, then. Maybe David will be the barista, and I will provide the epic music. On my recorder!
:o :spitlaugh:

Hahaha, none of this suprises me. But it is entertaining.
That is a funny scenario right there, Ruby! (http://urduart.com/gallery/data/682/girly025_2.gif)
We just had a really good dinner. I made salmon patties, using French fried onions instead of crackers or bread crumbs, and I baked them on a baking rack so they were crispy all over on the outside. Made some corn bread, and I had peas and corn left from Sunday that I combined, and also made okra and tomatoes. YUMMMM! I poured buttermilk over my cornbread and drank some buttermilk also with my meal. It was scrumptious!
Went to work and the grocery store and came home and crud.
I found Officer Roscoe's official police issue taser.... (https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/430715_10150625310437870_88420692869_8789709_1680676266_n.jpg)

I have been wanting some today.

probably cheaper to send money and let you buy your own
Then do that.
No, I don't want to. :P
It's the thought that counts, and I said if you were here I'd let you eat what I've got, so that's the thought...just enjoy it and be happy.
Doesn't satisfy my need for chocolate.
What happen to going to bed Mel, Seth and I need to have a GROWN UP conversation now, we will get you chocolate tomorrow.
:freaky:
Quit smooching her!
That was not a smooch.
Then what was it?
Sure looked like puckered up lips to me....
:P
:beret:
With lipstick on them too!
:love2: It's alright Seth they just do not understand our relationship!
It was a look of pallid horror.
:freaky:
You wouldn't know a smooch if it bit you on the booty.
There was a tick on the wall while ago downstairs by the door...they come in the house there sometimes for some reason.....ugh..... AND, a giant spider by the door at the same time. They both entered into eternity though.
But...it's tick season....have to add the tick check routine back to the daily hygiene rituals. :P

Another rainy day. I think it's supposed to be raining all week. But it's not freezing so I'm content. I do have the heat on though, 55° doesn't quite cut it.
I have had so much fun trying recipes via Pinterest. I don't know why it's more fun than an actual recipe site? But it is. I made jambalaya last night for the 2nd time ever. Everyone enjoyed it.
I may get to go to an essential oils workshop mtg. I know only a little on the subject. I have a few "what not to do" experiences... lol Things always come up for me in 2's or 3's it seems when it's something I should pay attention to. All the stuff on the news about antibiotics becoming ineffective because of the overuse and the powerful potency of natural essential oils. There's a lady at church involved in them and she was telling me about "thieves" oil blend. Which was supposedly used by thieves during the Black plague. Because they used these oils they didn't get sick, they would go into the homes of the dying and dead from the plague and steal stuff. When they were caught, their sentence was supposedly lightened if they shared the recipe. How much of that is true, who knows, but the oils in it are antibacterial, antifungal, antisthepic (sp?). So it's possible. God made things correctly and more powerful than man's mess. Anyone that's interested, I'll share with ya what I learn at the mtg.
:couch: Just checking in on y'all
And what findings did your checking result in?
That everyone here is totally insane. :ugly:

Yes, as our daughter has one kidney and many common household cleaners are very hard on the kidneys, I wanted to make sure I wasn't putting any extra stress on her system. I did some researched and discovered that Thieves oil works really well at killing germs and cleaning. Also, since there is a really big amoeba problem in the water in Guatemala, especially during rainy season, and Talia was still under 2 at the time and I couldn't trust her not to drink any of the bath water, I would put Thieves oil in that. I enjoyed the way it smelled, too!
Well. Plans didn't work out with Ann. She is sick again. So we rescheduled for Friday with the Bible study.
I'm back home now, fixing to nap. I didn't sleep well last night.

He's some kin of ours that go to our church.
Our tractor needs a lot of TLC, so had to have somebody else plow it.
Well, tell him to come plow me a garden spot in my backyard if he's through there. :P
:beret:
We are having breakfast for dinner tonight.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
John :waving:
Hi, all. We made it back home to discover that the storms that blew through while we were gone were mad at our house. They shucked some shingles, tossed down limbs from my trees, and ripped my gutter off the house.
Truthfully- not as bad as it sounds, but still- damage I have to fix. And the gutter, while I've got it temporarily tacked up, is bent badly and will have to be replaced.
In other news- we had a good time in Apostolic Las Vegas, aka Branson. Spent too much as usual. We'd talked about attending church last night but didn't know of any in the area. A friend told us that if we were willing to drive an hour from Branson, there was a good church in Diggins, Mo. We went to Springfield yesterday morning- halfway to Diggins- and had decided that we wouldn't attend because of the distance. Turned a corner in Walmart and ran into a couple from Diggins church. We decided maybe we needed to go, so we did.
While not really a remarkable service, it was a great Bible study and the church building was absolutely gorgeous. And- it just felt homey, if that makes sense. The godplace crew was not far from mind either. There is an Amish community less than a mile from the church and they have a workshop next to the church. It was like a traffic jam in 1890. :laughhard: All I could think of was Seth would be out here trying to capture a few of these guys.....
Now, what to do....
Well breakfast was a flop. I didn't time it right so the bacon wasn't quite done and the biscuits were over done, and brown on the bottom. And the eggs got cold before we ate. Dad ate just a little and got sick and mom complained that I didn't make sausage and pancakes.
Whatever.
I guess I can't win every meal. :smirk2:
Now to get dressed and get to church. Jesus will make it all better.
Poor, Mel-Mel.
Shrewby, it will take a while to drive the tractor cross country....
Roscoe, yes, yes indeed, I need to find me a start of them and raise me up some good Amish workers. lol :P

And they were everywhere in the springfield, missouri and surrounding areas. There were more women in dresses than in pants in the stores. What surprised me was some of the houses we drove by were clean, but well, kinda shabby. Maybe they don't believe in paint either???
:headrub: Mel and Roscoe

*HUGS* Ruby
Jesus DID make it better. I always have an awesome time just BEING at church with my people. We don't even have to have service, but just being in the building helps a LOT.
Now I have our new Easter song stuck in my head. And I'm headed to bed. Gotta get up early and meet Ann to pray at church, then we are finally gonna teach that Bible study that we didn't get to teach on Tuesday.
Night people!
ROSCOE! Did you not see my Dr Pepper comment a few posts back? :P
Weirdos.
w2cchas
I've been singing the Easter song all evening as well. Oh and by the way Mel, I think that the song your team is signing will be GREAT, There was a major change tonight that will just make it all better
I had to catch a ride with the Wilson's tonight, on the way home I was getting a migraine, so glad the ride to my house was waiting in the drive way. When I opened the truck door I realized that it was my daddy and he took me to get dinner! AWE!!
That was totally unusual for him, we even had coffee and talked awhile, I enjoyed it!
It's nights like this when everyone is busy that I would be able to post a million things!
I'm sure everyone would LOVE to see my name for TWO whole pages! :bigcheese:
In sharing for yesterday, I actually wrote someone a letter, does anyone remember when that was a common way of communication?
I remember passing notes in school as well, I was one of the lucky kids who never got caught, I had to eat one or two notes though! :fork:
In sharing for today:
Being as this day has not really gotten underway I don't have much to say yet, I am suppose to go clean a house today, it's how I'm getting money to go to youth on Saturday!
I'm suppose to play the music on Saturday as well, I've been practicing but I still do not feel ready, I may have Mel sing all alone with no music. That way everyone will be staring at her and when I start my song everyone will think I'm doing just lovely!
I am praying to come into some extra cash, I'm not asking for much, just enough to go put in some applications in town.
Ever get to a point where you know God is changing your direction, but you are not sure which way you are suppose to be going, I am SO there right now!!
In Sharing for tomorrow:
HAHAHA Just Kidding!
Im up. That was a short night. Haha.
Lady K,
There was actually a time when a single could write the headquatrers of the UPC and ALJC, and they would give you a single person of the opposite gender's name and address so you could be 'penpals'...oh, the days gone by! :biglaugh:

Morning, all! :hi: And Mel, I noticed the Dr Pepper comment, intended to comment on it- and forgot to. :laughhard: I'm wounded that you have so little faith in my Dr Pepper drinking abilities.
Today is gonna be- dare I say it- EPIC! Lou, Chey, and I are gonna go to Fort Smith and meet up with Germ and his wonderful family, browse and shop a while, and then we are gonna shut down the Golden Corral with the help of a certain media personality from this forum. I've been looking forward to this more than the trip to Branson. :bustamove:
I'll believe in your ability when I see it. Just like I'll believe in what people say they are going to do when they DO IT and not just give lip service.
UGH.
I want to believe the best in folks. But when they say something then don't do it, and can't be contacted and it's the second time in a row...you wonder. Not to mention all the other times they said they would do something and didn't follow through. Blah.
But! God is still good! I got in a good season of prayer and Bible reading this morning. And now I'm just waiting. Waiting for pastor and wife to finish praying so I can clean the bathrooms without disturbing them, and waiting to see what happens next and what my plans may pan out to be today. Cause at this point I don't know.

Well breakfast was a flop. I didn't time it right so the bacon wasn't quite done...
Did I tell you I seen someone BAKE their bacon so I started doing that? It turns out perfect every time, all at once, and cooks quicker than the pan -like 10 min. The grease is easy to pour off too if I have a panful and midway it looks like too much, then I can start my gravy and have it done when the bacon is. I don't have to turn or move it so I'm free to make the other stuff. It's just as fried as in the pan though, so it doesn't really help with healthiness, just convenience.
I did bake it. 350 for over 30 mins, and it was still not done. I even bumped it up to 400 for the last 10 mins and then to broil. And I had it on a rack so the grease would drip into the pan underneath. It was done I guess, but my parents like it crispy and it never got crispy at all.
Really?! I hope it's not your oven that's messing up. I bake mine around 450° on a cookie sheet/jelly roll pan, depending on how thick it is.
The oven is fine. Everything else cooks properly. It's thick bacon, but not THAT thick.
:hi: I'm glad it's Friday. It's been a struggle every day this week making myself come to work.
Melodya what's a jelly roll?! lol YUM!
Going to the opera Apr 21st! YAY!
Ok I'm better now. Still not doing the Bible study today though. Heather and the baby are sick, so maybe next week.

They praying on the pot?
Nope. They were praying in the foyer. For 3 hours. Started at 6 and didn't get done till after 9. But I didn't want to trapise thru the foyer with a mop and bucket and make all kinda noise cleaning the bathrooms when they would be right there.
I'm respectful.
I'm done with the bathrooms and the kitchen now though. So all is well.
Howdy y'all. I think tomorrow I will get a lot of stuff done.
A - Bake a batch of sourdough bread and replenish my stock.
B - Copy and edit all this music I just got from CD to computer, label and if necessary edit.
C - Buy some weed killer and a spray pump and spray the border of everything in the yard.
But today I'm feeling rather lazy, and I get quite enough exercise at work anyway.
Well I got steaks marinating. Gonna make that crockpot potato soup for tomorrow. I think I need a nap.
Anyone need to buy a motorhome?
There is nothing worse than aggressive stupidity!

Anyone need to buy a motorhome?
What do you use for a marinade? What kind of motorhome?
I use a bottle of KC Masterpiece marinade. One bottle is enough for me to marinate two times. It's really good. I use the balsamic garlic and herb kind. We really like it, makes the steaks tender and you don't need Steak sauce when you eat!
And the motor home is a Winnabego. It's an older one, a '93, but in REAL good shape. I lived in it for 6 months when I moved up here, and Jason slept in it when he visited. Dad won't be able to travel anymore and we need the money. He is asking $6,500.00 for it. New tires, brand new a/c, and I think dad said there is only 70,000 miles on it. sleeps 3-4. If y'all are interested tell Clarence to call my daddy and ask him. He can give you all the details. :)
Here is a video I made 3 years ago when I first moved here, of the inside of the motorhome. It was messy cause I was living in it, so of course all my personal stuff is out of there now, but you get the general idea of how big it is. The "bed" I was sleeping on is the table that lets down into a bed, and I had a twin size mattress on top of the cushion for a more comfy sleep. It will fit a twin size mattress. Snugly, but it will fit in there.
Pardon the mess, and *sniff* my sweet Eboni is in there too. *sigh* I miss her.

Grocery shopping is exhausting. 3 stores down, 1 more to go. I'm working my way up to doing most my shopping at Costco though.
Wait. What? You can bake bacon instead of making a huge mess on top of the stove?!? *gasp* I need to learn this. Like, post haste.
Isaac - guess what is "this close" to being finished? :bigcheese:
Today has been a bit frustrating. And I think that before this day is over I'm going to break my record for how many times in one day I can anger/irritate/aggravate/annoy two kiddos I know. *sigh* All the way from fixing split pea soup for dinner, to telling them they are in danger of turning into lazy couch potato slobs, and that neither Chris nor I are going to allow that, and if THEY don't come up with an exercise program for themselves, that we are going to assign them one. Seriously! When I send them out back to play and all they want to do is sit on their fannies and chat, uhhh.... no. There's soccer, or tag, or riding bikes, or basketball, or running laps, or jumping-jacks, or SOMEthing. 'Cause pretty much ANYthing would be better than what they're doing now. :frustrated:
I told them to have a plan to present to Chris by Monday. We'll see if they actually come up with anything. If they don't... guess what? Dad's going to give them an exercise program.
Okay, I'm done ranting for now. I think.

Well. We just got home from one of the most enjoyable days/dinners we've had in a while. It is SO terriffic to have good friends and there is nothing like the fellowship with said friends. Mini, Brennen and I prowled through an awesome junkyard loaded with treasures from the 30's, 40's and 50's while the girls shopped, then Mini and I traded Brennen for Brionna and we went car shopping. I found an awesome Corvette that I want, and Mini found a car to lust after as well.
We ended the perfect evening by meeting up at the Golden Corral with Newsman and really enjoyed the meal and conversation.
I've came to the conclusion that this website has given me something I never would've found other wise. Friendship, nay, brotherhood, with some AWESOME people. I just wished John and Mini, and several others, lived closer. Oh, the trouble we could get into if we lived in the same town.... ;)
Other details will probably be forthcoming from the meat-up- things like some of Newsman's excited untterances- but I shan't be the spoiler. :hypocrite:
MEAT-up? Yeah, it was a GP thing for sure!
All I got to say is someone needs to keep a eye on a certain media personality...he admitted to being...er... propositioned too by a certain lady recently, and by his own admission, is being chased by a woman who was promised she could have him if she caught him...
All joking aside, I nearly drove home in a new car...I have never felt that weak kneed about a car before...my oh my...

Same engine as the Corvette, detuned a little. The GXP version actually was tuned to produce MORE power than a Vette...
Thanks, Mel!
Nice car, Mini. It apparently wasn't quite as cool as Chellebelle though, since you got weak-kneed enough over her to take her home with you. *grin*
Roscoe, I quite agree with your sentiments about GP. :) Some of my very best friends were made via this lovely little place. (Okay, my VERY best friend was met via this place too.) ;)

Haha! They didn't mention Meeee!
Had a really hectic night tonight. I have a few people really upset over the junk the boss has been putting me through, with three people sending parts down to me, alone, at the catching end. I think they're more bothered about it than I am.
Personally, I've decided to do what I can, and what I have to let slide I just put a red tag on it for someone else to catch later. It's what the boss personally and repeatedly told me to do if I couldn't keep up. And the red tags flew tonight. I only did part number on one order, and I was still going all out pretty much all night.
Let's hear it for 71% cocoa!

And I tell myself, well I could go now and stock up on some more stuff and not have to go later...but then I think, well I could just not go now and I could go later....and if I did need that feed before the next show I could either order online or get it at the store or something.... Basically I want to go but I don't want to go, and I don't think I'm going to go this time. :smirk2:
Had a busy day today. It's all or nuthin' it seems in life...lol
Praise team practice last night. I made the RAW browie, it was a hit. I'm hooked. Ruby, you will love this recipe, guaranteed.
Coffee with friends this morning then off to a Bible study, and I got lost... again. I confuse myself, it's ridiculous. I can always navigate back, never being lost for good, but I sure get off track. The Bible study was chasing rabbits but was still a good B.study none the less. I rushed back to the church for section 10 choir practice for an upcoming concert. I was seriously shaking. I get so nervous.
Then we went to an eclectic teen place to see one of our youth perform. He was awesome, he wrote all but one song. They were kinda like modern folk music.
We stopped by the church to touch up cleaning after having all that section 10 group there and then home to prep the house for company tomorrow.
Ending with a lovely chat with my favorite Melody. :) Can't wait to meet ya lady!

Ok. To EVERYONE: Are you ready? I'm about to change your life. I didn't believe it when I read that either, but um.. it was true.
They are pretty much amazing. I think they did changed my life. They are FUDGY. They don't taste like nuts and they don't taste like dates. They did take a whole 5 min. to make, so if you can stand to wait that long, you can make these. (http://urduart.com/gallery/data/682/girly025_2.gif)
The Raw Brownie2 cups whole walnuts
2 ½ cups dates, pitted
1 cup raw cacao
1 cup raw unsalted almonds, roughly chopped (optional)
¼ tsp. sea salt
Directions:
1. Place walnuts in food processor and blend on high until the nuts are finely ground.
2. Add the cacao and salt. Pulse to combine.
3. Add the dates one at a time through the feed tube of the food processor while it is running. What you should end up with is a mix that appears rather like pie crust crumbs, but that when pressed, will easily stick together (if the mixture does not hold together well, add more dates).
4. In a large bowl (or the pan you plan on putting the brownies in), combine the walnut-cacao mix with the chopped almonds. Press into a lined cake pan or mold. Place in freezer or fridge until ready to serve (it is also easier to cut these when they are very cold). Store in an airtight container.
So that's it. I just changed your life. Go and make The Raw Brownie and maybe get back to me to let me know how it turned out.
If you know of another nut that has lots of natural oil, you can sub it for the walnuts. I couldn't find raw cocoa, so I just used regular, natural, unsweetened cocoa powder. You know what consistancy you're looking for so you can tweek the measurements accordingly.
Hmm, strange.

Umm. Ok. Lol
Bah.
Lurking....
I'm upset.
Three things have happened since I woke up from my nap that have me feeling like I am worthless and not amounted to anything. Two of them happened cause I wanted to do something nice for two other people and because I didn't have the money to get what I wanted to get for them when I saw it, someone else beat me to it. So I feel like I can't do anything right. Not even try to buy gifts for anyone. It's all cause I don't have money and Im not able to do anything for any one. Makes me feel like I'm not worth anything at all.
And when I NEED someone to talk to about things, I can't get anyone to talk to me. Oh, people say they will be there and they love me, but I feel like when I truly NEED someone, they don't care and never help me through MY mess. Even when I am the FIRST to drop EVERYTHING when they need me to listen or whatever.
***I'm never getting married. I don't like what it does to people. They forget what it's like to be single and alone. I have seen it over and over and with people who PROMISED to still be there for you, but they are NOT. They mean well, but they are NOT the same and I don't EVER EVER want to make anyone feel the way I feel right now. I don't want to not be available to someone who truly needs me. Even though I don't know why I try so hard to be there for folks when I never seem to get what I need when I truly need it.
I'm just really feeling worthless and alone right now. I'm sorry for the drama.
***NONE of this is directed at any of my married friends on this board. I am not upset at y'all.
/me hugs Mel :headrub:
Thanks.
I am better now. Had a good cry and God apparently heard my frustrations cause one of my Non-GP married friends called me and I am better now. She didn't have a clue what I was going thru, just wanted to check up on me cause we hadn't talked in awhile, and so I told her my deal and that I was upset, and she helped me.
Thanks God. ;)
I think He did that so I would know that I had it wrong about some people. They mean well...and some DO change and make me feel bad sometimes, but some will always be there for me. Even if I can't see it in the moment.
I used to get upset with situations like that...stuff really bothered me....but then I kinda eventually just quit givin' a hoot and generally don't talk to anybody anymore about anything anyways. :smirk2:
Awww, Sethiepoo. :headrub:

Well take a number. Theres lots of things to choose from.
And I wanna say also that Kimber is awesome, and I already heard about her testimony now and I can't wait for her to post it when she gets time. :)
Now I have a headache from crying so hard earlier, and I'm headed to the kitchen to prep the chicken I plan to put in the crock pot tomorrow.
I just made a decision. I won't be on GP or FB this week. God has been dealing with me all day about it. Starting this morning at church. I need a break. So if you need me, text me, but I won't be on here till next Sunday afternoon. I'll have to catch up then.
Love y'all.
:hi:
I see my Ruby friend. ;)
*HUGS*
*Hugs* Mel!
Ya know... *pondering* I used to think like you do. And then I got married. And then I realized that it looks pretty much the same from this angle too. 'Cause I've had single friends who haven't "been there for me" because they're too busy, or not willing to work around the one-car-family thing, or... whatever. It's kinda weird. Everybody sees things from their own angle though. When I was single it seemed like all the married gals could ever only talk about recipes, babies, or how stupid their husband was being (sad, but true story). Now that I'm married, it seems like almost all my single friends only ever want to talk about how lonely they are, or how their parents are being stupid, or how they're pining after some phantom guy. *shrug* I guess when it comes right down to it, the friends that are REAL friends will ALWAYS be there for you (even when they can't be literally beside you because of miles or schedules or whatever). I've had some incredible friends really step up to the challenges of friendships, and keep being consistent (even when life itself wasn't/isn't consistent) and I know that I can count on them to "be there for me" whether it's been an hour, a week, or even a year since we've chatted. *still pondering* Seriously, Mel, you'll probably never even know how much those cards mean that you keep sending me. And the random texts. And funny voice mail messages. Even when I can't respond to them immediately (okay, or even have trouble responding for several days) it makes me smile, and puts a huge bright spot in my day. And I guess God knew the perfect timing to have some of those cards arrive. 'Cause several times they've arrived on days that felt like days from hell. And I left the card sitting in the middle of my table, so's every time I walked past I would see it and it would make me smile all over again. *tight hug* You mean an awful lot to me, Mel. Thanks for being my friend through ALL the ups and downs of life. More people need friends like you. :)
Heather! Sounds like an awesome time at church. :great: I love those times when God speaks so directly to your heart that you have that huge, deep assurance that He's got you in His hand, and everything is going to be alright. EVEN when the circumstances haven't (at least not to your eyes) changed. I'm happy you had that tonight. :)

Thanks Ruby. And I understand what you mean. I I didn't mean to be so dramatic. And the main reason I put the disclaimer on mypost was cause of YOU. Our relationship never changed when you got married. It had progressively changed long before that, and for the good. Became even better. Even if we cant talk all the time, I know you ARE there for me. Thanks for that. You don't know how much your friendship means to ME. I love you!
Goodnight all. See y'all next week. :D

I broke my otterbox belt clip...on hold trying to see if its under warranty...usually they are good about replacing whatever you break.
I wonder if heaven has weather? I enjoy so much of it.
So, our lawn mower keeps dying every round... lol I figured out what it was and fixed it. The plastic thingy that is supposed to swing open as the grass is flying out, doesn't. The coil is far too tight. Well, I can't fix that so I just took the whole flapper thing off. New problem: I have grass everywhere. I should have put a bandana on my hair first.
On the upside, I came across some wild onion. I don't remember it being there last year. How sweet is that of Jesus to just put some right there? I snipped some off and had it with a baked potato. I have been regrowing my green onions everytime they get down to the whites. Just put them in a jar with some water in a sunny place and they grow about 5 inches a week. I don't know if it's because I'm trying to be stewardly and thrifty or just cause God knows I really like green onions, either way, I feel like some girls feel when they get flowers. I am so glad you asked, it is the most amazing news I've shared yet on the forum, because my God is in the midst of it!!
After much prayer and fasting, God answered one of my prayers on Sunday, I recieved confirmation and I am excited!
One of the brothers from the church let me know that he had a good feeling about a place, a bit later my pastor passed by and said it was time for me to get ready to move, then in the service itself God dealt with me on a lot of things. After service Pastor come up and added to the confirmation letting me know that God had me a place ready and that everything will be taken care of! The same brother who spoke to me in the beginning, come to me after and let me know God had laid on his heart to tell me that, "the place is yours". The only thing I have to do is go this Wednesday and apply for jobs, I have already seen the place. I know the people who live around it, I have people willing to help me with a way of going back and forth to work, and the house is perfect for just me!
I do not know the exact date but I am ready to do my part!!
I have a very talented and kind friend helping me, I feel like things are flowing, and I'm feeling pretty good about my resume as well.
God has blessed me beyond all that I deserve!!
Taco: Will do.
SippinTea... You WHAT?! Whatever do you DO without a microwave? How would you soften cream cheese for cheesecakes? How do you heat water quickly?
The mind boggles...
1) That is great, Lady K!
2) Something cute, when several of us met up last Friday in Fort Smith. As I stood up to go get another plate of food, Chey came around and offered me a piece of the blue cotton candy she had. It was very sweet of her, and It was very sweet It tasted like 75 grams of sugar in a 3" x 2" piece of cotton candy!
So, if at the meetup, Roscoe arrrests me for sleeping in the city park, his own daughter might bring the prisoner cotton candy, and be upset with her father for arresting me! :)

What I've been saying for years. And it explains how I eat what I want, and do not weigh 300+.
Only problem is, in that picture they showed milk chocolate, which is a poor, pale shadow. People who only like milk chocolate are people who would like anything with a boatload of cream and sugar. Dark chocolate is for those who actually like CHOCOLATE.
:pound: Isaac
I don't like just anything with cream and sugar but don't like dark chocolate it's too bitter :girltongue:
Bitter? What's bitter? You just haven't tried the right kind. Hershey's "special dark" doesn't count.
Kmymbir! So cool! Keep us posted with how God keeps working things out for you. :great:
Jenn - thanks for the email.
As for having no microwave... *lol*... I can't stand them. I don't like all the health questions they raise (and are even proved in negative ways), and considering that you can even TASTE a metallic taste in all food and water that has been heated in them... yeah, I don't like them. They're definitely convenient, but I'm not willing to take the risks associated with them. Heating water quickly... you don't need a micro. A tea kettle works great, and so does an electric tea kettle - even faster. :) Soften cream cheese and butter? I pull them out of the fridge before I need them, and let them warm up the old fashioned way. ;)

My little man woke up with a sore throat this morning. Dosing him up with all sorts of home remedies, and he says it's feeling better. Considering he's talking while playing with Sean, it appears he's right.

I'm so angry. We've been married almost two weeks now... Jeremy just got a court summons for a car that his ex-wife took off with and never paid another dime on like...3-4 years ago. I'm ticked. She should be thankful she doesn't live here. But apparently they won't go after her...just him. Hopefully on his court date we can get favor and they will finally serve her some of the trash she's left him. Please keep this situation and us in your prayer. We cannot afford to pay off her debt. :(
:smirk2:
I'm sorry Nelle-- I have a friend going through the exact circumstance. :(
And morning, all. We forevermore had an awesome service last night. Tongues and Interpetation, the power of God all over the place- simply awesome. Got to hear my former youth pastor, Bro Ron Pickard preach- kinda, until God drowned him out...lol

Trying to get started today. I stay sleepy. I can't sleep well at night yet.. Waking up multiple times unable to go back to sleep.
Jeremy's uncle (also boss & pastor) looked over the summons and is taking him to see an attorney at 1:30. It appears to ME that in their divorce agreement, she was awarded/ took possession of the car legally, and then allowed it to be repossessed...so in my humble thought, that should clear Jeremy since the failure to pay and repossession happened after their divorce was final. Hopefully the courts will agree with what seems so simple! Ready to hear what his attorney has to say. Hoping that God grants us favor in the courts eyes!
In other SHARING news, I have no idea how she could take down something that can FLY, but my cat, the mighty hunter, was playing with a bluebird on the carport. I can't wait to see what she brings down when she becomes a full grown cat. The coyote around here better tread lightly.

Morning. :hi: Worked for a bit last night at my new part time gig. Didn't write any tickets, but it was like old home week with local officers and dispatchers. It's been two years since I hit the blue lights in this county, and according to my family of local law enforcement, I have been missed. One dispatcher even suggested that I needed to take the soon to be vacant chief's position at my former department.. Flattering, for sure. Now I'm off to work for about four hours..then come home and work on rusty. :hi:

I really hope you get this fast. I could not inform anyone about our trip, because it was impromptu. we had to be in London, Uk for a program. The program was successful, but our journey has turned sour. we misplaced our wallet and cell phone on our way back to the hotel we lodge in after we went for sight seeing. The wallet contained all the valuables we had. Now, our passport is in custody of the hotel management pending when we make payment.
I am sorry if i am inconveniencing you, but i have only very few people to run to now. i will be indeed very grateful if i can get a loan of $1,750 USD from you. this will enable me sort our hotel bills and get my sorry self back home. I will really appreciate whatever you can afford in assisting me with. I promise to refund it in full as soon as I return. let me know if you can be of any assistance. Please, let me know soonest. Thanks so much..

Oh, and why are you executing a namaste?? What did it do to you?!? Couldn't you have some mercy and just maul it a bit??? :laughhard:
'tis my day off. I've put a roast in the crockpot, made a big bowl of absolutly heavenly cole slaw (made like my mama made it, sweet and tangy. I even grated the carrots and cabbage myself, didn't buy that "mix". Bleh) and set out rolls to rise. Gonna eat GOOD tonight. :fork:
Fixing to make a cheesecake. Somehow, we've had a couple of church dinners recently where my cheesecake was requested. While getting ingrediants for that, I managed to pick up way too much cream cheese. My fridge looks like Kroger's cream cheese cooler. :biglaugh: Therefore, since I can't waste it, it's only logical to make my favorite dessert. Hmmm- Choclate, blackberry swirl, or caramel apple.....choices, choices.
And some time today, I shall wander out to the shop and tinker with Rusty some more. I finally got a tool I've been waiting for to aid in his recovery.

The notification was a tiny, 1pt line in my signature. Two days ago it said, "Tomorrow is my birthday! Let's see if anyone notices this little line in my signature." One day ago it said, "Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, Friday, March 30th is my birthday, happy birthday to me! Let's see if anyone notices this little line in my signature."
The theory was that once people get used to you they never read your signature. But two people here actually noticed it, which was not supposed to happen... One of them asked me about it on yahoo a whole 20 minutes after I changed it the first time.
Definitely chocolate. And I like your cream cheese rationale. :thumbsup2:

Tried to sell you a WHAT?!!? A simple USB stick audio card can be had for about $3, if you don't care too much about quality. If you want GOOD sound it will cost maybe $25. And they are plug-and-play.
But yeah, if all you want is to pipe sound out to sound in so you can record it (without messing with soundcard settings and risking a really bad feedback loop that might blow the soundcard out) a little 1/16th M to 1/16th M cable will do the trick.
Sorry, I just have to say this again... They tried to sell you a WHAT?! :o

I quit trusting them after I started reading about HDMI cables. Take this one for instance: LINK (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/AudioQuest+-+Diamond+2'+High-Speed+HDMI+Cable+-+Dark+Gray/Black/2383258.p?id=1218324434805&skuId=2383258). $934.99 (for a 2 foot cable)

Had a great day at church. Someone snotted on my blouse...but it's ok.
Riding home with dad now, gonna finish the lunch I have started in the crock pot and eat a nice lunch. Then I'll catch up on the other threads.
Gotta say though, I agree, I wish Jenn, Ruby and Heather could come to the meetup! And even Seth!
An speaking of meetups, today makes FOUR years since I first met Chel, Seth and all the others at the DOME. And we had a great time with Glitch in the hotel lobby that night. Lol!
Our lights went out earlier. I went to the church and cleaned some. Came home.
Going to go bang my head on a brick wall, be back later.
In other news, it is almost a year now since I bought my toe shoes. They are flexible enough to fold and stuff in my pocket. They have been washed every week - two pairs, wearing each pair half a week - mostly because you don't have to wear socks with them, so you really want to wash them more often than normal shoes.
And they're still holding up well. Nothing coming apart, nothing giving at the seams. Not half bad.
I've been sewing on a pillow for the last few days. I have to finish the matching neck pillow now. Then tomorrow I'm getting the polyfill from the store to complete it. Can't wait till its done.
Work work work. May have found out what's wrong with the SUV. I'm goin back to dance class. It's 2 weeks til my mini vacation. And mom informed me we're going back to Myrtle Beech this September.
Wowsers. I took a loooong nap. I've been going a hundred miles an hour since like Wednesday it seems. Conference started Thursday and my company, 8 people, came in on Friday night. Thursday night praise singing/church, cleaning the church, Friday morning beautiful prayer mtg and communion, clean the church, Friday night praise singing/ service= awesome, feed company, 5something am Saturday clean the church and morning sessions, clean the church, feed company lunch, Saturday night p.s./church= off the chain, feed company dinner and company leaves about 11pm, 5something am Sunday clean the church, p.s.church=amazing, Get to go OUT to eat for the first time in months and months with new missionaries to Belize= privilege.

An amazing day in church. I was afraid I had gotten in a weird place moving here that would take a while to get out of.. i.e. Adjusting.. But!! Today was great!! We went up for prayer and I really believe God has His hand in our situations. I don't know what His will is for the situation...but I do know that His strength is perfect! Morning, all. We had good church last night also, even though Bro Papa was home sick. I preached " It's time to draw a Line"- basically, what the title says, time to let the devil know if you cross that line, you've got a fight, then stand our ground. Good spirit of God in the place.
Anyhow, back at work. Again. Bah.

The carpet is 5yrs? old. And yes, there are little wild fibers that I have to snip here and there. There is no padding, it's just on cement. It's time to have it cleaned again as I can only do so much spot cleaning. There are rugs in the narthex that catch most of the stuff so it's not been too bad. However, our carpet is like gold or mustard or some color like that and light carpet is not_fun. When we outgrow our sanctuary, the plan is to knock out the back walls of it and add high rise seats to exapand. When that happens, we will not be doing light carpet back there, thank the Lord!

I know that's right! Those toilet seats are sanitized! Everything is sanitized about. We have a lot of full glass doors and our sanctuary seats are theater seats, those 2 things make it take longer I think than normal. I should post more pictures in the church picture thread.

I know that's right! Those toilet seats are sanitized! Everything is sanitized about. We have a lot of full glass doors and our sanctuary seats are theater seats, those 2 things make it take longer I think than normal. I should post more pictures in the church picture thread.
It would help if the male persuasion would um... conduct all their business in an orderly and aimed fashion. I wish we could put a sign in the mens bathroom that says, "Train up a child in the way he should go." (http://urduart.com/gallery/data/682/girly025_2.gif)
I used to think that until I started working in retail. Now...men are MUCH cleaner than women. It disgusts me how gross the women's restroom is. :noo:
We rarely have issues in the girls bathroom, and they are usually, from what I can tell, the small children. I still fault the mom's for not checking after the kids but it's still far and few between. I think the little trash cans in each stall in the womens help a LOT.
NEW subject! I'm having a good day.. lol
When I was in Florida, the mens room was ALWAYS nasty. I mean lovely spatters on the floor and the walls and all kinds of mess. The ladies room was always fine. But it seems no one taught the guys to aim properly.
Here, I have not seen a problem at all with either. And I have 4 bathrooms that I mop twice a week. That's a total of 7 toilets and two urinals. Trash pretty much stays in the cans as well. And we have the little cans in each stall and big ones near the sinks. My biggest problem I have found is footprints! The tile in the front ladies bathroom always has prints all over it! I don't know if its the type of tile, or the type of shoes that some wear, but I'm always mopping them up.
I've had that problem Mel. We had to change what we used to clean the floor. Some cleaners leave a bit of a residue, which is fine for tile counters and walls but it causes dirt from shoes to stick. The tile we have is not made to be shiny at all. Most of the time I will, after washing problem areas, mop with very hot water.
The tile we have in the narthex cannot be cleaned with anything but an industrial floor buffer thing. Anything else, even water, dulls it and shows everything. So we dustmop it regularly and it stays pretty good for a month or so. We run about 500 on Sundays and 200 on midweek service, so that's a lot of traffic.
I'd check into your tile type, rugs available, and what the ground is coming into the church.
You know the cleaner we use the most? Fabuloso, the purple kind. We pour a dallop in the toilets/urinals after they are clean too for scent and prettiness.
It's just the one bathroom. And the tile is different in that one. Well it's different in all of them, but that one is the shiniest. I won't be able to go over it with hot water very often. We don't have the hot water heaters turned on unless we are cooking in the kicthen, or an evangelist is staying in the apartment. It wastes energy to keep them on all the time when we rarely need hot water.
Well, I suppose I could heat it up on the stove. Hmm that's an idea to try.
And what is a narthex?
Quote from: MelodyB on April 02, 2012, 03:04:15 PMAnd what is a narthex?
Sounds like a bug, doesn't it.. LOL That is what I said when we moved here. I had heard of entry ways, vestibules, foyers, but narthex is along the same lines. I don't know the exact definition but it's about the same thing.
I had posted a picture here [/quote]] (http://[quoteauthor=mellowyellowlink=topic=32465.msg938558#msg938558date=1320790362)

yeah, try the hot water, just once and see if the prints are less the following week.
There's a few clips from the conference if anyone is interested. http://www.twitvid.com/powerupmentor (http://www.twitvid.com/powerupmentor)
Ours is just a foyer. It's carpeted.
Our whole church is carpeted except the bathrooms, and the kitchen.
I'm not going to the church today to clean. I'm wore out. Even after a rare 3hr nap yesterday, I could barely keep my eyes open by 9pm. That never happens. Mondays the church is closed anyways so I'll clean first thing tomorrow.
another cleaning issue we have Mel and no one has figured out how to remedy it; our baptismal leaves an orange film on it. At first when everything was new they just thought the pipes had to work it out but after all these years, it still does it. So at a conf. like we had this weekend where we just left it on and running, the water gets kinda icky. Cleaning it is annoying, all our rags or p.towels end up orange. We've tried all different cleaners but it's a pipe issue. No other plumbing in the church has this issue either, just the baptismal. We joke now that it's all the sins left over from baptisms. LOL
Glad I dont need to be baptized...I might come out looking like an Oompa Loompa!
Its prolly iron in the pipes. Replacement is the only solution. Lol
I didn't go to the church early today either. I'm fixing to clean the kitchen here at home, figure out what to make for dinner and then head in to the church. I gotta clean and print testimonies.
print testimonies? That's a cool idea. We haven't had a testimony service in the 6 yrs we've been here. Pastor has had a few specific people come and share something significant but it's never been open. LOL We'd be there all day if he did but it'd be entertaining as well!
Wow, y'all have been busy on the forum while I was sleeping. I got a good, full night's sleep though.
Let's see, what else can I share...
When you have a friend who can help another friend, it's really neat. I'm glad I have some really cool friends.

We have had several people in our church write out their testimonies, and we have them printed out and do a quarter fold pamphlet, so it's like a little book. When we go to restaurants or meet people, it's a good way to witness if you just leave it on the table or give it to someone. Church info is on the back, and it's really a neat idea. And people DO read them, and you would be surprised how many we go through. I'm usually the one that prints them and folds them, but other people do too. I can send you one of each so you can see what they are. :)
When I moved here, I redesigned them. It's been fun!

I'd love that, thanks Mel!
That just gave me a great idea. I wonder if I could make a FB testimony page for our church? Hmmm....
I have an interview tonight at 7! This has all the trimmings of a miracle! Thankful for God showing off this week!
Church done. Now to take the trash across the parking lot to the dumpster and I am free to leave.
Gonna get some buns and a tomatoe at the store and we are having homemade burgers tonight! Yay! One of my favorites.
how did we get from sharing 459 to sharing 450? :cough: mel...
Well she can't change it now, they locked it already.
Ummm.. Oops! I can't count apparently. I'll fix it later...but that means I have to edit my post. :reaction:
On the testimony chat: Pastor says that most people love gossip and want to know other peoples business, so to have them printed and handing them out works, just tell people it's about your life. They eat it up.
In sharing today: I went to see my aunt in Alabama and we had a ladies get together, it will be my last one for a while, so I enjoyed myself and eat a cupcake today!
In other sharing: I was able to find some really nice stuff in Target today for my new cottage, I can not wait to decorate, I have so much planned out!
In the next few hours: I will be going fishing with my sister and her boyfriend, then I plan to come home and pack one more box, then get online and possibly get into a bible study..
maaaaaan, let's get onto the next sharing thread already. It feels like half the time people post on the last page, it gets missed cause everyone's onto the next.
Grilling turkey burgers tonight from Costcos. I'm curious how they'll taste.
I am home. I've ran a compression test on Rusty, which verified my diagnosis... That head has got to come off. I am bummed. That's a pain of a job that I shall commence tomorrow evening. On the bright side, the numbers were high across the board except for the wounded cylinder, which means after a relativly cheap head rebuild- $200- Rusty should be good for many more miles. Now, I REALLY wish I had some help to take the head off... :sadbounce:
And I am bummed for yet another reason, because Bro Rudy Thrasher is having a big anniversary/ revival at his church in Paragould, with Bro Ron Garrett preaching. I cannot go because of work, and Bro Papa has rubbed it in via phone a few ago that he is there, and I am not....
Hmm...Lady Melody's post gave me an idea...
Seth, I may need some help on a 'project'. I'll PM you.
Everyone else, carry on. Nothing here to see.
:sing: La la lahh :sing:
John :waving:
:o
Why do I smell something fishy? I'm pretty sure it isn't Kimber....
:eyebrow:
You bes' watch yo' self woman!
Just got back from Wal Mart.
I need to go back to walmart. I bought some poly fill today and I need more.
Well, I'll lock this joint up.
Are you SURE the thread was locked? :hypocrite:
John :waving:
Extremely.
