Change of plans!! I'm off early Friday and off all day Saturday, so I'm going to IL! I have to come back Saturday night tho since this is my last month to teach SS down here, so I figured it'd be bad to miss! Haha..
I'll be picking up my invites plus getting to see my sweetheart. :) my parentals might be coming along, not sure. It'd be their first trip up! Fun fun! :) now... It'll probably be the first of Feb that everyone gets their invites. I think that's an ok amount of time since I'm getting married in March during peak spring break season. I'd hate for peopleto be able to use the excuse "I didn't know it was then and I already made plans!" :) haha.. I'll live tho!! :)

It is inevitable that I must go get groceries today. I'm trying "kale chips" that I've heard raves about, later on.
So we are having crazy auto trouble. The truck's transmission went out. Yes the new "rebuilt" one that was just put in. Now the car needs over 1K worth of work because a mechanic will not fix one thing without the other and said we are like walking on glass. We cannot afford a car payment. We cannot afford to fix it. And so, all I can afford to do is pray and thank the Lord for all the good things we do have, with is innumerable. I think I am going to take on some more hours, cleaning at the church.
I have to say though, I have really enjoyed our Mazda Mellinia and the 269k miles we got out of it. I'd get another one in a heartbeat if we could!

Today is one of those days I have a conflict of wants. I want to go back to bed and curl up with a good book until the weather gets less wet, and I want to get the rest of this record running session edited so I can start burning it to CD. If I could set up my workstation around my bed I'd be all set, but that would require wall brackets and extended clamp arms all around.
My oh my, my belly is sooooore.
You need to be taking it easy. Hard to do when you don't have help.
I'm not doing anything. Get up and move around the house a little. If I did any less I'd be sitting on a bed pan bedridden. :eyebrow:

Well, you probably have warm climate foods that are hard to find here and outrageously expensive like.. hmm.. fresh aloe or agave leaves, and citrus and peppers...

I can shower. I didn't mess with doing so yesterday though. lol I don't think I have stitches, I think they just glued me together. There is a little piece of gauze over each of the cuts, and they are covered by a clear bandage thingy.... The clear thingys can come off today. I think under the gauze is some sort of tape that is supposed to stay on, but if it falls off itself that's okay.

well I'm on again today and that makes two days in a row, a bit unusual for me, but I enjoyed reading the POSTS.
I have to get up at an hour I plan to hate tomorrow. My sister is going back to college and has no clue how to get there sooo my job is to show her where to go.

Lately I've had a very strong urge to be held by the Lord. I just want to cry a lot and hide in Him.
Not like my normal relationship with Him, this is more intimate feeling than I've ever known possible, and I feel like He is preparing me for something.
It worries me, what if i'm not ready, but yet how could I tell my love no?
Therefore my mind has just been made up, Lord If I've not yet answered, the answer is yes.
minnesota I'm sorry to hear that bright idea about happy meals in blenders worked its way up there. I saw it in a local church about five years ago and thought it a very effective way to cause indigestion.
That happy meal doesn't sound very happy to me at ALL!
The people who participated didn't look all that happy. They threw the burgers, fries, drink, ice and all in.

I should just doctor with Chel....cause last night I texted her and she told me just as much as the doctor just did today.... I called to make my follow up appointment and asked if the fever was anything to be of concern. He called me back while ago and asked how everything was, said it wouldn't be anything he'd be worried about at this point, and told me to take some deep breaths. Chel already gave me the deep breath run down last night.

I went back to work today after Round 4 of the plague. This time I kicked its boot!! Well not entirely as I'm still coughing a bit and have a super scratchy throat/voice but nontheless I only missed 1 day of work instead of a week.
My dad wrecked his tanker today in Illinois crossing over the river from Iowa. Oh snow....He's fine but the truck is pretty banged up. He only slid into a wall thank God and didn't hit anyone else. Hes holed up in a motel until someone from his company can get him and bring him back to Kingsport. Pray they don't fire him for this. He was just hired 2 months ago (so he's on a probationary period) and he has a spotless driving record. Also the police didn't even ticket him due to the weather.
I'm headed home to make some chili. We're supposed to start getting snow tonight and it's already cold and rainy. Perfect chili weather in my opinion!

I am still in severe pain. Nighttime is the worst. And I have taken my limit of muscle relaxers and pain pills and I'm still hurting.
I'm wondering if it really is a UTI, or maybe something else entirely.
What else could it be?

I survived the night, and I actually feel kind of human at the moment. :o I hope this is a continuing trend.
I slept quite a bit last night...woke up several times, but went back to sleep.
I drank almost a whole thermos of hot tea on the way to work this morning to help my throat feel better. My stomach wasn't happy with this idea, and now I'm at work, fairly miserable. :( Hoping I feel better soon! I can't miss work - too much work to do! And I'd feel bad if I left early today and still went to IL tomorrow if I felt better. :/

At least I hope it was better than my own, after logging off last night I do not remember how I even got to my room, my eyes are still burning and all I see is blur. Then I was shocked to life by my ringtone! I sat straight up in bed thinking it was a fire, Only to be staring death striaght in the face, (what do you do in that situation?) (I mean COME ON, an enemy attack THIS early?!) So I done what any good saint would and screamed In Jesus Name.
Keep in mind this all happen really fast. As soon as the words left my lips I begin to laugh!
You may think I'm crazy, but in reality I realized that I moved my Dresser and Mirror right in front of my bed, I was staring at myself!
A few things to remember ~ 1. Mirrors and Beds have no business being in the same room
2. Do not have a Siren sounding ringtone
3. Brushing your hair before bed may keep a tragedy from happening
And last but not least ~ 4. Be ready to stand for Jesus even when you're not standing at all

And Kmymbir, in regards to that siren ringtone- I once pulled over a friend of mine from thirty miles away. He'd set a police siren for my ringtone, and was driving through town when I called him. Nut pulled right over.... when he realized it was the phone, he called me back and blessed me out for his ignorance. :laughhard:

I posted this on FB while ago.....it's a text conversation I had with Mel-Mel last night that I have no idea what I was talking about....at the time, it seemed totally logical to me. :smirk2:
When the conversation starts out it was an answer to part of a previous conversation we had had before I went to sleep where I had stated that since I had surgery I didn't like to see surgeries on TV or anything...lol.....
But this was the bizarre exchange:
The following is an actual transcript of a brief text message conversation that occurred last night in the time frame of about 12:41 - 12:46 a.m. after I woke up from being asleep for a little while. It starts out with me replying to a previous text from Melody Bush.
Me 12:41 - Surgeries period.
Melody 12:41 - Ah I c
Me 12:42 - Shew lord.
... Melody 12:42 - How you feelin?
Me 12:44 - Been nappin. Im sore WV. Want 2 bend WV ingredients. I dont know
Melody 12:45 - Ummm what is WV?
Me 12:46 - West virginia
Melody 12:46 - Then your last text didn't really make sense.
I went back to sleep at that point and didn't say anything else till I woke again later on and at 2:08 replied back "I can't help that!" Followed by another message from me at 2:17 stating "Lord. Misery".
Cinnamon toast is good. With brown sugar, cinnamon, on some sourdough bread...
Well I just decided what I'm having for breakfast. :-?

It was weird!
I knew what the WV would normally stand for, but Seth and I have a lot of abbreviations, and that one, I couldn't figure out what he meant! It was quite hilarious. After that, I went to sleep myself and just figured whatever was making him talk crazy, he would sleep it off and be better by morning.
I was right, when I woke up, I had a text saying that he didn't know what he was talking about previously.
I usually don't sleep-text much...but if you call me and I'm asleep, sometimes I can have a whole conversation and not know it, then when I wake up, I feel like I dreamed that I was talking on the phone. So I'll check the recent calls, and sure enough, I'll have talked to someone.
Then I wonder what all I said. :o
Chel and Elona have done that to me before, but it's usually Justin, cause he calls late.
And I also feel much much better this morning.
Don't know what the problem is at nighttime. I was in serious misery last night.
Night time is of the devil!

Got the bill for my latest cat scan....sheesh, Bloomington Hospital charges a thousand more per scan than Monroe Hospital, and I thought they were awful.... The other two that Bloomington did on me where all lumped in my other bill from my inpatient stay.

In the meantime, some SHARING news: I have three things planned today. 1 - Make some egg custard pies for church dinner tomorrow. 2 - Type the church bulletin. 3 - Hang out at the auction tonight, which is cheap entertainment as long as you don't raise your hand.
I need to go to the store for some sour cream. The chocolate egg custard pie is going to be a normal egg custard with cocoa, but the regular egg custard I find is much better with some sour cream and cream cheese.
On our way to Jeremy's house! Mom and dad have a big day in store for them! I can't wait to show them around! Now if those weird clouds will dissipate then we'll all be just fine! Looks like winter weather!

I tried GF oats this morning. I put almond milk, bananas, vanilla and caraway seeds. SO Good! I could probably add some honey but I'm not gonna do it!
Caraway is the flavor of pumpernickle bread. I have found a new flavor to play with.
I realize I don't look like your typical 'church' person, but I'm tired of people taking one look at me, seeing my tattoos and earrings, and just assuming I need invited to their church so my soul can be saved. Isaac, I purposely delayed getting started on your sound board cover project for a few days because I wasn't entirely satisfied with the idea in my head. But I think I've got the idea refined now, and I plan to start cutting fabric within the hour. If I can keep the kiddos entertained with AIO for a few hours, I might even get it done this evening. We shall see. :)

MY-one of my coworkers just recently got a Pacifica. She LOVES it.
The Virginia Men's Prayer Summit was AMAZING!! The son-in-law of a minister in our church was filled with the Holy Ghost. God moved in a mighty way!! The preaching was very powerful. All I can say is wow!!

Another job came before Nathan recently that he is praying about. It'd be a pay increase, praise God. But he's only been at this job a few months. It's like a remodeling project seller for Lowes, out in the field, not in the store. We'll see.
Things seem to only go 34 or 112mph around here.

In SHARING news, I did go down and hang out at the auction house tonight. Four hours sitting there and the only thing I saw worth getting was a couple of glass pie plates... until the last half hour, when they had a black leather coat that fit me just right and I got it for a flat $20! Grandma will flip! She's been after me for years (literally) to get a suit, and I have to admit a camouflage coat doesn't go well with dress clothes. Maybe this coat will be close enough. It looks quietly elegant.

Finally got to eat a piece of cake from the cake I make last night (pre-gallbladder attack) and it was awesome. The cake is just that right consistency. Yum!! It's just yellow cake with chocolate icing but it's quite delicious if I do say so.
Glorious day in the neighborhood here, dad's mystery pain from the other night which was let up yesterday is back, and he's going to the ER this time.
Doesn't know if it's a kidney stone or appendix or what, it hurts in his back and belly.
It's just GREAT around here.

They are strange people. They've been to every church in town. They'll go to one, and act like it is heaven on earth while they're there, then get mad and leave. I think part of the problem is that none of the pastors will let her husband preach. Shoot, they probably know how they are and have enough sense just not to let them. lol I don't know. Sanders was one of the last churches they went to and everybody treated them like gold. There may be a rough one in the bunch that didn't baby them, you have that ANYWHERE....but nobody brutalized them there, and they acted like they were in absolute love with that church.
I wanted to just rip her a new one last night, but I refrained. lol She was nothing but hateful to me on there yesterday. She would "converse" with some of the other guys on there, but she pretty much did nothing but insult me. She's got a vendetta against me I guess.
Ah well.
Went to church via my ride and came home. I played the piano and tried not to kill myself.... Bro. Roberts did all the singing and played the organ. I could listen to him play all day.
My sister said they've done blood and urine tests and a CT scan on dad, have him on IV and gave him pain meds. Just waiting on results. They're slow as pond water.
I hate that he's in there, but I have to say, I'm glad I'm not there, LORD LORD, I AM SICK OF THAT NASTY RATHOLE! I do not want to go back to that place againnnnnnnnnnn.....lol
So Dad does have a kidney stone, a big one that they're going to crush. But that will be tomorrow or Tuesday if they can't get him in tomorrow. :roll:

Got rid of all my extra roosters, and a couple turkeys.
And discovered that something has killed one of the young turkeys....that was a crock... May've been a hawk, dunno....they usually wouldn't try for something big like a turkey, but I didnt' see any tracks in the snow, so that's about the only explanation..... Eek.... But wow, that opens up some space and helps with not having so much excess crud..yay.... Goodness.

She was at one point for a short while when they started attending Sanders Church, but she defriended me pretty quick I think. She has NO sense of humor.... Her husband was on my list for longer, but has at some point defriended as well. Some of their kids have been on and off...their daughter still is presently. Maybe a son still, duno.
There was a huge thread on that group and people were going wild last night. She had started it saying that someone told them (her family) there would "never be a conservative church in Bloomington"... No one is holy enough for them. So they say. They want to start a church. I'm sure it will be a doozy of one if they ever do. lol
The above excerpt was from a different thread on there actually than the main one. Someone else had started it as a spin off from her thread, that's where she levied that attack at me. She insulted me otherwise on it as well.
Tons of people were raking her over the coals in the other thread, it was huge, hundreds of comments on it. The group owner (or whoever) actually ended up deleting it when he got online.
The thread she told me all this junk in is still there there...AND, nobody said a thing in my defense or anything... I was kind of disappointed with the bunch of pansies.... It may have been in large part overlooked, but I know some people saw it. lol

Ya were doing pretty good defending yourself, Cheese. I didn't see it 'til after the fact and the war had pretty much died down- didn't see no need in reviving the junk. I still might, though......junk like that makes me glad to be a scab. :biglaugh:.

I am a member of the said group but didn't even look on there in the last week. That might be a good thing though. lol

We had some drama at church tonight. Some guy called up, sounded drunk, said he was the father of one of the bus kids and would be picking them up. I didn't take the call, Sis. Tabatha (young teen) took the call. The girl didn't know her mother's phone number to call and check on this, but it wouldn't have done any good because she said her mother didn't have any minutes on the phone. So I sat in the foyer with Bro. Mike (for muscle, just in case) waiting for the guy. The plan was we would offer to take the girl home ourselves if she had to go home NOW, but we couldn't allow him to because you just never know. But the guy never showed up. The girl's mother wasn't home when we took the kids home, and the lady who was there didn't have a clue.
Bleh! Thank you God for a good family of my own. :)

There was a group of special needs people in the Starbucks at Target where we were meeting and one of them motioned to me to sit with them when I walked in...lol I gracefully declined.
Later he stopped at our table talking to us about IU and Purdue...their supervisor ran him off. Another of the ladies was sitting back there moaning and making noises and the other supervisor with them said "Holly, you sound like a sick cow." I thought I was gonna crack up with all that going on in the background. lol
Filled out a dab of paperwork, stopped and got gas, came home.
My day's work is done. Back to doing my usual nothing.
Oh, and dad is at the doctor getting his kidney stone crushed.
Okay, so apparently they're not crushing it today, setting up a different time to do it....why let it lay? Good grief, weirdos....

Something broke in the spiritual in KC last week during a prayer mtg. Everyone had stories about God opening doors to witness. It's crazy! I'm NOT a small talk person, I hate it, it's so awkward. Introductions are very uncomfortable for me, just tell me who ya really are, what makes ya tick, and you've got a friend for life. ☺ Too bad it doesn't work like that... LOL
Last Tuesday I was cashing my church cleaning check and the teller said she went to the church across the highway. She said just services. Somehow, I don't even know how! that we have a few Filipinos in our church came up. She is F. also, and she just looked at me, :o Like that. I wish I knew what she was thinking. We talked about Sis.Lettie's eggrolls and how she takes care of her parents now so I have not been to an authentic Filipino party though I've spent time with her family. I mentioned our World Missions conf. and how fun it is. I didn't invite her to church. She said she should come visit. I said, "Yeah! :)"
I walked away thinking that was amazing. Then Sunday, I heard a ton more stories. God's doing something in KC!
Oh and like 5 other people also had to go and buy cars on Saturday. weird. I've never had that happen before... lol Musta been a car demon attacking. :lol:

Morning, all. I'm back at work. And for what it's worth, I, too, was caught by the no postal service demon yesterday. You'd think, with all the USPS's money problems, they'd try to be open every chance they got. :smirk2:

I called it! After eating my dinner tonight, I said "I hope that doesn't make me sick." this restaurants good has made me very sick in the past.. Sheesh...I could've waited till much later to go up there.... I got there at 10, 3 hours after my sister took my dad and mom up there, and he was still laying in pre-op. Doctor didn't start till an hour late. Everything took forever. I have had my FILL of hospitals, good. lord.

I've been sleeping on the couch for the last four nights because my air mattress finally went ffffft! flat. No complaints, it lasted years longer than it should have. Getting a new one at Wal-Mart was not an option for quality (or rather, lack thereof) considerations. So I got one I wanted online... but then had to wait for it to be shipped here of course.

Everyone of these hospitals and doctors needs a good cussing. Supposed to call his prescriptions in and when we got there, there was nothing called in...so my sister was still in town and gonna pick them up later.... They're STILL not called in....and the pharmacy called the doc's office, and they don't know anything about it and the doctor won't be in till the morning.

The guy that bought roosters and turkeys the other day has relisted all of them on CL for much more than I sold them for..... That's his choice to do so, but good luck with that. I've had them for sale for months dirt cheap. So good luck selling them high. I sold him everything for a total of $28, everything totaled up that he has on there is about $140. And he has the roosters listed as "roosters and hens, but more roosters than hens..." Yes, ALL roosters is more roosters than hens... I told him one or two of the silkies might be a hen cause they had smaller combs, but I don't really think so. Maybe that's what he's alluding to.... But I'm sure he just wants to reel people in, cause nobody wants to buy a bunch of extra roosters...not for high prices... Really what he's asking is technically reasonable, but it's hard to find anybody on the market for them. Hence, why I had them at rock bottom prices for months eating me out of house and home in the meantime. :P I'm glad they're gone, less to feed.

I felt like a bigger idiot than normal last night. I sat down last night to do my monthly budget on paper-I haven't done that in a few months, just kinda went by the budget in my head. I figured everything up, then proceeded to nag at Lou and myself about the way we never have any money, but we make this much. Went on and on about our wasteful spending habits, and how this was gonna change... :nono:
Then I redid my caculations and realized I had put an extra paycheck in my figures. :sadbounce: Yeah, that'll skew things a bit. Went from- "We're making plenty of money" to " My Lord, how are we making it?!?". :o :laughhard:

Dreamed about being attacked by rampaging bulls...my car being on the hillside behind the garage with my mom and me in it, the wind blowing hard and it tipped over on the hill on its side, shoved it back over, and then the bull charged the first time...jumped in the car and ended up moving ahead down by the bean crib by the gate, and bulls were attacking from both sides of the gate...was trapped in the bean crib a while, bulls going hither and thither...got back in the house at some point then and was trapped by bulls.....
I have a recurring theme dream of being attacked by cows. It's not a recurring dream in being the same exact dream, but the same theme. I hadn't had one for a while, I guess it was time. :P

I had multiple dreams last night but one that sticks in my mind is that there was a stray cat in my bedroom hissing and growling at me. I like cats but I won't take any sass from them, especially on my own territory, so I got a glove and picked this one up by the scruff of the neck. It was a very active and evil-tempered cat, so I had a job keeping my grip on it. When I woke up the fingers of that hand were sore...

We got to land at Tulsa International too. That was WAY cool. Air traffic control routed us through Tulsa, warning us of the "heavy" that was landing (Airbus in this case), cautioned us of wake turbulence, and then brought us on in. When they started warning us about wake turbulence, my instructor (at least ill call him that, its his plane and hes the one whos wanting me to learn how to fly) says, "We better tighten our seat belts...this could be rough!" Luckily, we went up a couple hundred feet and flew over the turbulence.
For those of you wandering what wake turbulence is, if you have ever seen a boat go across water, you know how the waves spread out in a V behind the boat. Its the same thing in the air, the wind off those planes cause huge waves in the air that will toss a small plane all over the sky...

It was easy to spot from Tulsa last night. Thats 30 miles. And it was pretty hazy last night too. I will have to find a really clear night and go up to see how well I can see it.

My day has been- well, not as planned. It was too cold to fix Rusty- besides, working on him might've caused me to break a nail. :laughhard:
Instead, I cooked stew and attempted a pineapple upside down cake. The oven's been acting up, and apparently it's the lower element that is used to bake that is malfunctioning. The cake got cooked, but not like I planned- the top of it is a little darker than I planned. Lord, all of my household appliances have got to stop breaking down at once. :reaction:

Been working all day. I have finished 4 out of 6 assignments and now only have an Algebra test and a PowerPoint presentation on VLAN left to do. Not sure if I feel like pressing on but I really don't want to do school work tomorrow.
I've been busy all week with a sick child.
I'm still here BTW. Wes and Kris came home about 5ish and they were tired and didnt want to take me all the way home...plus Krissy and I have to be at a ladies meeting tomorrow morning at 9 anyway, so I'm staying an extra night.

Two reasons- 1) a coat is bulky and the location of the coil pack is a tight spot- even more so when you are vertically challenged but horzontally blessed, i.e. a short fat guy. :laughhard:

Premaking slow bake lasagna today to to put in the oven during church tomorrow. And the family gobbled up last batch of muffins so I'm going to make lemon blueberry bread. Oh and a batch of chocolate cupcakes for tomorrow too. No frosting though, we'll just do whip cream and rasberries.
Baah, it's cold out. And I've lost weight so it's harder to stay warm. But that's good, I suppose.
Well that's enough piddling around for me. Got stuff to mail and mad scientist experiments to conduct in the kitchen. And a new cover to put on the church sound board. :D Bro. David will flip his lid.

Well, for the latest update, I ran out of fuel last night. Had to coast to the nearest place and everything was shut down. I was stuck and mom refused to come get me. I ended up having to call my sister, ya know, there are some days that I really love my sister. Not sure how I will get to the church tonight, I may get off of here and start walking..... hmm....

I got the cover yesterday. Just haven't gone to the church to put it on yet. I live a whole two miles from the church, so the trip is considerable, not something to be undertaken lightly... worse yet, my workplace is about 30 seconds drive from the church.
Okay I have something baking in the oven. What that something is, I don't quite know. What started weeks ago as an innocent little egg custard pie is now, as near as I can figure, more of a cheesecake. A lime cheesecake at that. A baked lime cheesecake. The recipe is cobbled together from the tattered remnants of the egg custard pie, a lot of cream cheese and lime juice. Go figure.
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
3.5 packs cream cheese (someone else had used the other half pack in something else)
4 eggs
lime juice, who knows how much... just kept pouring it and praying the stuff wouldn't curdle.
You know, between all of Mellers posting about her cooking, and Psalm always posting about his cooking, and Fuzzbuckets knack for cooking, if I am EVER privileged to preach in your churches, I am telling the pastor, "I want to eat at those folks houses!"
Definitely head on down to Fuzzy's house. Get her husband to barbecue, her to cook and her younger daughter to make dessert. :D
The aforementioned daughter hates handling bananas though, so request something other than banana muffins... She does make a good apple bread and (from what I hear) cheesecake.
Too much lime. Definitely too much lime. Next run will be much better.
In the meantime, if any of you care to stop by my house tonight you can have a bowl of chili. I'm making it up as I go... so far it's ground beef, kiddley beans, a bit of barbecue sauce, a bit of spaghetti sauce, a bit of curry chutney and half the spice rack. As I said, you can have a bowl... but it won't be good until tomorrow. Fortunately I'm making it for tomorrow. Gonna dump it in the two small crock pots that came with this industrial two-pot warmer I picked up at the auction house (I mentioned that earlier) and label one "Mild" and the other "Interesting" (hot.)
I am so stinking proud of Kimber right now! Just sayin.
So, don't keep us in suspense.
Do tell! *ears perk up* Is she in jail for whatever it is you're proud of her for? If so, we'll all help post bail. At least, if it has anything to do with standing up for herself and... well, never mind. We won't go there until we know what you're proud of her for. ;)
