There. Does that get me "fellowshipped" again? :laughhard:
And we were at twenty pages so I thought I'd jump the gun a bit on this. :P
No. Cause as we all now know, you hate (or it hates you) Mexican food and Chinese food.
*shakes head
:ugly:
Somebody fix me some lunch.
It's not that I hate it, in the case of Mexican, Mt. Dew. As Mini suggested, it hates me. Either my ancestors killed a Mexican, and the food's getting even, or a Mexican killed my family and the food's keeping the feud alive. :laughhard:
And chinese- well, it's just nasty. They serve dog and cat, and specialize in ten thousand ways to render a piece of beef inedible.
Whats wrong with eating cat or dog?

I admit that the beef is different from what I am acquainted, however....a few less cats in this world never killed me. *hides from Proverbs Preceder and IowaDress*
One other thing, guys.... I wasn't going to put it out here, but prayer is prayer. My mother is an Alzhiemer's patient and has been in a nursing home for several years. I got a call this morning that she has lost the ability to swallow and a feeding tube is required. In my experience this is usually near the end of the road. In the long run, Mama will be in a much better place, as I know what her life was like and can remember waking up at 5:30 in the morning to the sound of my Mama speaking in tongues and praising God.
It is because of her that I have a walk with God and anything I may ever be will be because of her. While I knew what was coming with this disease, and thought I had prepared for it, it has hit me kinda hard this morning. Please say a prayer for me that I will be able to get through whatever remaining trials there is with this, and more, importantly, remeber my mama in prayer, that God will comfort her and remove any and all pain. Her name is Winnoka Moses.
Thanks.
Will do, Bobby. Praying.
Yes, Sir. This I can do.
Morning y'all.
Sorry to hear that Roscoe. My aunt is the activities director at a nursing home... which means I often get drafted to help out... and I know alzheimer's can be rough.
Could somebody please come over here and give me a swift kick in the backside? I have lots of things to do, but inertia is a terrible thing.
Praying Bobby. Praying...

I don't have any stitches. I haven't had any surgery yet. :eyebrow:
I feel fair.... Still wore out. Some minor pain/discomfort at times.
I don't know if the birds missed me but there's been a lot of loss through the last few weeks due to issues I wasn't able to prevent. Blah.
In what way do you need to do something about this person? The circumstance that you are involved in them with makes a lot of difference as to whether you can just ignore them or if it's someone that you need to befriend or try to steer the right direction, or what....
:hi:
nite
Oh I thought they put you on all those meds to be able to do surgery, which I thought you had done.
And I'm not sure. I'm a fixer so that'd be an easy but probably disasterous outcome. I could ignore but think that would be as equally rude as them. Hmmm... perhaps not spotlighting their retardation, letting them expose their own ridiculousness is both carnally pacifying and wise in the long run? How can that be?
Proverbs 9:8 - Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
And again:
Proverbs 23:9 - Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
So if this fool is a fool indeed, it's probably better to just let him alone. If the person is a good person, but misguided, he would probably appreciate a word to the wise.

That would be cool looking. Now that I think about it, you could even iron it on pillow shams. I've done it on a T-shirt before. I guess it would depend on the material. You could for sure do it on the sheet set.

Got a long list of stuff to buy. And I haven't made out the list yet. Phooey.

Went to town, survived, came home.
I hurt more than normal this afternoon and I called the doc....they were already gone for the day...the answering service had him paged and all that... Felt like I was bothering him, but he assured me I wasn't..... Doesn't seem to be anything to be overly concerned about. It feels alright now, by the time I talked to him it was actually lessening.... I still have various random pains hither and yon, as has been the norm.

Just in case someone would like to try the breakfast that pleases God-
CHOCOLATE GRAVY
Ingredients
1 cup cane sugar
1/3 cup all purpose flour
¼ cup Hershey's Cocoa
1 cup milk
¼ cup of butter
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Method
In a heavy saucepan combine sugar, flour and cocoa. Gradually add in milk, whisking to eliminate lumps. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. The mixture will begin coating back of a spoon. Once the mixture thickens, remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Whisk in. Serve over hot crumbled biscuits.
Serves four
* My mama didn't use a receipe, but this looks pretty close to what I remember, but I *think* she used a tad more flour to thicken it. And she cooked it in a huge iron skillet, not a saucepan

Picked up the living room, made lunch (garlic BUTTER pasta), took a shower... cause I just felt so dirty typing CHOCOLATE GRAVY.
Roscoe, what have you accomplished? Must be the choc. gravy...
Mini, you are genius. I was also considering how much chocolate gravy and crack have in common.
And let's just connect the dots right here and now...

Well....keep in mind I'm feeling a mite poorly- not enough CHOCOLATE GRAVY, obviously- and have been kinda slow today. I've got Chey ready for school and took her, counseled with a friend about a family situation for a few, went to the church and prayed for a bit, got the Corvette running and drove it a few miles down the road and back to charge the battery, took out hamburger meat to thaw for dinner, and now I'm being lazy.

I had some high quality weird dreams. Dreamed that I picked up my son from school, on horseback. Then the streets were flooded, so we were going through water on horseback. Then we had a Weight Watchers meeting at the fire station, and the WW Leader got mad cause I had a box fan and kicked it over, then acted like everything was ok. I left, and told my wife that I would NEVER be back there. LOL
Needless to say, it woke me up.

Tomorrow is our Christmas program. I'll be glad to get it over with. I'm really weary of these songs. Especially since I am an alto now and it's hard for me to hear the part. Ugh.
Melody are you doing one of those preset programs that you get the soundtrack on CD and sing with it? If so, they usually have a practice CD that emphasizes the different parts, in your case an alto CD with the alto singers singing much louder.
Yep, we are. But I don't have a CD. And the program is tomorow, so it's kinda late now. Lol oh well. Bro Ron said we sounded fine, it's either better than I think, or he is just getting hard of hearing.

They got this newfangled way of keeping track of all them numbers. It's a big white sheet of stuff they make out of wood pulp, and you write on it with a stick that rolls out a line of something they call ink. And it won't accidentally get wiped clean when you change phones or if the computer's hard drive dies.
Or do what I do... keep a .txt file on my computer and back it up to all the external hard drives I use for backing up my music collection.

Oh look, it's what's his face.
Ugh. Argh. It's monday... I am so not ready to be here..... :waving:
I went to the program that Bro Holmes' church had last night. Elaina Angel as guest sang throughout and outdid herself as always. The drum troup was unbelievable and the highlight of the evening. The only downside of the evening was an accident that occurred at the Crucifiction scene: as they stood the cross and dropped it into place with force and a large jerk, the nail holding "Jesus" into place came loose throwing him several feet off the cross. He landed facefirst on his jaw and with such force that he was actually bleeding out his ear. He was in a great deal of pain and his face horribly swollen. It is the only time I've seen a soldier help Jesus walk from that particular scene of Calvary.
Ouch. That sounds painful, mt dew. You leaving the heavenly state of arkansas this morning? And in sharing- thank God no christmas choirs today. An old elvis song comes to mind... :sing: there will be peace in the valley for meeee, someday...
Morning. I'm at work.
That ain't an old Elvis song, he just sang it. That's an old church song.
Taco, howdy there! Long time no see.
I made it through the weekend and got everything done that I wanted to get done. Except cleaning up all the mess, which I began last night and will continue today. This past weekend was a lot of fun and very productive and I have the remnants of it EVERYWHERE!
In other news, I have a minor problem. This week all the family will be in - Dad is already here from Kentucky, sister will be here today from east TN, family coming up from Texas - and I have to work. Next week Christmas will be over, the family will be gone, even Grandma will be gone - and we have a week off from work.
So what do I do with a whole week, no work, nobody here?
#1) it may not be an elvis song, but once you've heard his version it ruins everyone elses. He owned that song, at least for me. And #2) roadtrip to meet gpr's. Wander down through ms, meet mel, swing through texas and harras the fuzzy beast return home via arkansas and meet moi.. simple. And with gas prices, expensive.

Good heavens.... Did the congregation pray for "Jesus?"
:smirk2:
Go to the doc at 1:30 for my follow up appointment.
Seth, hush.
Roscoe, yeah that's a bit too expensive. Also I have a cat and dog that need to be fed here and are not accustomed to life on the road so it would be um... messy... to take them with me.
Gotta get ready to go to town...*gag*
Cell group Christmas party this week and I'm assigned a "salad (not a green salad)"
I do not know how to make a salad that's not green. Never have. I think I'll go buy something from the store rather than buy ingredients I will never use again and that nauseate me.
:puke:
Make them a pasta salad. That's easy enough.
Happy Birthday, Ruby. :)

back to working and sitting on my bum crocheting.
Sitting on your crocheting is rough enough, but what in the world is bum crocheting?!?
:ugly:
I'll have another CT Scan Jan. 3rd and if all looks well they'll do surgery in a couple weeks thereafter.
I'd be just fine with it if the Lord would just go ahead and totally take the appendix out and it not even show up on the scan so I wouldn't have to mess with surgery.
Doc said that normally the appendix just heals itself back up and looks normal again after it's been ruptured, perhaps just being a little shorter than normal because it's usually the end of it that ruptures.
So, while the Lord is at it mending it anyways, if He'd just go ahead and shrivel it up all the way back to the colon wall like it was never there to start with, that'd be awesome.
I won't be upset if that's not what He does, but that is my request and what I would like myself. :)
@MDew...the Angels are awesome people. She is plumb crazy!
Call into work today. I was hit with the stomach bug about 4:30....worse pain ever. Oh wow. My whole body still aches. But I'm doing better.
Psssh, wuss....my appendix rotted out and it wasn't that bad. :P :hypocrite:
I made it through the day. They're doing some work in the parking lots at work and are removing alot of shrubbrey, so I persuaded them to give me a few holly bushes. I've been wanting a few for the front of the house- they'd look nice and be lower maitnance than the three trillion species of flowers that the old lady that originally owned this place planted. She was retired and spent all day in the flowerbeds- I don't have that much time.
The problem was the holly bushes had to be planted quickly if they are to have a prayer at survival, so I got to dig three holes the size of Lake Superior as soon as I got home. Made a fat boy work. :P
And then I remembered that we are having a christmas dinner at work tomorrow, and I got conned into making a Caramel Apple Cheescake for it. It's in the oven now..... And I ain't doing anything else tonight! :waving:
Well aren't you special.
:bustamove:
Y'all are a bunch of chatterboxes. :P
Back at work. Gonna eat goooood today! Potluck christmas dinner....mmm,mmm. :waving:
Poured down rain all yesterday & still raining. Nathan's job cancelled work yesterday & now today. He's not a happy camper.
I think I'll take some pictures around the church today while I finish cleaning.
Roscoe, take a picture! Is that the only kind of holly plant? I heard it preached years ago that "holly wood" was the kind of wood witches used to practice divinations.
Morning. Today is our "holiday luncheon".
I think my lunch today will be celebrated ALN style...
Went to the church and took some stuff over there, bottled water, Christmas treats, crud that I had that needed hauled over there.... And paid the concrete guy..... I don't know why he never just mailed a bill before. But he finally called and wanted to meet me to pick up a check.
Anyhoo...I need to tend the fowl in a minute.

Back off, Matilda! You can't be snatching Roscoe's plant, you herb-eating lunatic! Fly your broom elsewhere!
 Actually, mellow yellow, I mispoke. I was told that they are boxwoods, not holly. No matter- they are an evergreen shrub with pretty red berries and will require less maitnance than the current plants.
Pretty and less maintenance. Sounds like a win-win to me. :great:
Morning y'all. It's 9:50 here and the family is still abed. And I thought I'd be the last one up, working until midnight and all.
Maybe it's the rain. It's been raining hard for some time now. Good weather for long naps.
Oh lord. As the bible says to confess your faults one to another- I have sinned. I have eaten WAY too much... now to find a corner to curl up in and sleep..... :thumbsup2:
2 days til the GP wedding! I'm excited. Especially since I may be getting an awesome hug too.
Man, I wish I could go to that wedding! Just no way I could do it.... :sadbounce:

Mailing my cards in the Am. I doubt any of you have them before Christmas..Shoulda warned you all that I am a slacker :(
I went shopping with an old friend. A girl that I used to get in quite a bit of trouble with. It was nice that both of us have grown up ALOT in the last few years. I adored her then, and she kept me out of as much trouble as I got her in...I truly adore her now...even though I go to the "church where they are all crazy and run around". I smiled and then laughed...she wasn't being mean, but then she referred to her church as a church of old people...I said we have old people too, they do most of the runnin around ;)]
I get to see Chel tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phew! Long day. Kids' last day of school tomorrow. Yay! Sleep in days!
Roscoe, is that what box-elder bugs are drawn to?
Hush Dewy. Take it down a decimal. :)
If y'all have any spare prayer time could you say a prayer for my sister? She was planning to come from east TN for Christmas but then she started bleeding... the hospital says she has cancer. At 31 years old. The doctor says he thinks they can get it all out.
Bobby, what goeth on for you the first couple of days after Christmas?
I did part of a downtown broadcast where shopping promotion tickets were drawn for prizes totalling about $15,000 worth of money and service.
Tired.

Go west, young man!
There is also KC! Although you might have more fun laughing at the hillbillies there. Then Roscoe & Mini could show u the locals. :P
Chel was here, she has gone hence. She seems to know a little bit about everything... she was talking with my father about pottery and damascus steel for knife blades as easily as she talked with uncle Fred about welding, barbecue smokers and motorcycles.
And she doesn't habitually drink coffee, which is good because I don't even know how to make the stuff.
So now the family is up and watching TV. I wish they would turn it off, we have such good conversations when we're just sitting around talking. But if I cut the power line it would leave my laptop running on battery power. :-\

Morning. I'm at work.
Morning. I'm at home. But then I'll be at work when you are free to go home, so I guess that's fair.
Second shift is not as good though because all day you have going to work to look forward to. First shift you go to work, then you have that out of the way and you can enjoy the rest of the day.
I'm very much beginning to dislike some of the people I work with
Oh no Heather! Bake them some cookies, maybe they'll perk up to you. ☺
I'm going to buy some random "not green- salad" and hope it's a good one. But I'm making Turtle chocolate cream puffs too. ☺ No actual nuts in the puffs, just chocolate fudge, devils food, and classic turtle puddings mixed together. Surely that'll induce some drool. (http://urduart.com/gallery/data/682/girly025_2.gif)
I used to always hate when they'd have a salad luncheon at church. I want some real food... or at least a green salad with meat and cheese and such.
Or a southern chef's salad: Instead of ham and cheese, put some barbecue in it.
On a related note, Subway now has "pulled pork" barbecue for their subs. Don't bother trying it though. It's soft enough, but absolutely flavorless.
I'm selling my soul to Santa to pay my hospital bill.... I hope and pray the financial aid comes through on this.... If not, well...tough cookies to them, cause I can't pay 'em anyways. lol
That's why I'd love for God to remove my appendix before Jan. 3rd so when they scan it they find it gone and no need to operate... Don't need to add insult to injury....lol A cat scan is a couple thousand bucks a pop anyways.....that itself is bad enough. lol
Gonna have to sell a lot of turkey to pay for a cat...scan...
To pay what I currently owe at the moment, I would need to sell 1,840 turkeys.
Better start serenading them then that they might get to um.. endeavoring. :biglaugh:

KANSAS CITY! is only like 5 hours from me! I'm going to vote we do a meet up there! in the spring when I have time off (I think I'm joking, spring, farming, time off) Early summer after schools out works great because all the HS kids will be hungry for hours..lets start planning NOW!!! and yes I'm serious!
PRAYING! While we are adding to a prayer list, do we have a prayer request thread? Just curious. I love seeing them here since this is where I go first...just a question.
Please say a prayer for my Grandfather. I'm going to cry while I type this (one of the many reasons I'm thankful I found the truth and no longer wear make up) but back to my point. My Papa...He had an MRI and there is a between 1 and 2 inch tumor on the front part of his brain. He's seeing a specialist and discussing surgery hopefully sometime this week. God has healed him once from cancer...if that's even what this is...please pray it just goes away...I can't lose my Papa...I wish you all could understand what this man means to me..he's so strong in his faith, he's not Pentecostal, but he has such a strong belief. His wife just had a double mastectomy and is having chemo right now...this is not a very good holiday season..and I don't want this to be my last Christmas with either of me..so please pray for my Papa and Gramma Judy...

I got some stuff to do today. Go pay an internet bill (AT&T, the USB stick,) get some real sausage from a local butcher shop, mail a letter, mail a check for ministerial dues and (while I'm in that neighborhood) look over the local salvage groceries to see what they have lately.
I think perhaps I'm the only one around here who goes to salvage groceries, not to save money, but to see what they have that you won't find anywhere else around here.

Yeah, tell me about it! But I prayed a lot about it before I went for a license - especially as I was working at a fast food factory at the time and really didn't need the expense - and it went through anyway. When I went before the district board I mentioned all this, and said that I trusted them to be in tune with God enough that if I didn't NEED a license they would turn it down.
Still don't know why I need a license with what I've been doing so far, but I done prayed and I got it. Guess I still gotta wait and see.
Don't blame you a bit isaac. And I sure won't say I'll never carry a card. Just right now, its an un-needed expense...since I can do what I do now without it. If God leads otherwise, though...

Why, what happened?
Nothing really happened per say. Our pastor did recently take out the last row of chairs to encourage people to sit closer...I've been back row since day one...So lately I've kind of been moving around, BUT that's not the point. Someone noticed I haven't been quite as spirited during song service and I think part of it is who I'm sitting with....So I think a change of scenery is in order...I shall let nothing stand between me and Jesus!
Well, good. Quit sitting with the thugs and move on up. :P
Sometimes my mom just takes a random spell of having a sick stomach and then is over it...maybe this is one of those...I can only hope.
I may drink some bleach just for safety.
Somebody bought me out on quail. Yay.
Gotta get ready for church.
I was there but I was sitting too far toward the back for you hooligans to see me. I didn't want Isaac to see my real identity.....
We did get a picture with all 5 GP'ers there though

And I agree, the Angels are great people. They come to our church pretty often. Totally awesome!

If you see a blonde girl in black and green with a boy in jeans and a black button up that's me and APB :)
Went to church, came home.
God heal mom, and preserve me.
Got a letter at church from a guy that's in jail, I forget if I've mentioned this before or not...a while back he sent a letter. I finally got his address from his mom, who goes to Sanders, right before I got sick. We had been praying for him in the meantime. Well I finally sent him a card and a prayer cloth from church the end of last week. (He is related to us along the line, I might add.)
Well this new letter is quite disjointed and hard to follow, but he talked about me like I am trash. lol He said his mom and sister were making up stories for me and he doesn't believe them or me. (I think referring to me being sick and in the hospital.) I think it made him mad that I didn't reply sooner. And he said that someone he worked with used to go to our church, and I told him to shave his mustache, and he quit going to our church. He gave a last name, not a first.
He said our church was not the church for him, citing the mustache thing basically and writing my name out in all capital letters several times in various statements.
Told me not to waste another stamp.
And then said I could show this to the church, and one of his cousins he called by name who is a member of our church, if I wanted and let them know he needed paper, etc. and a little cash for the commissary.
LOL
Lord, have mercy....
I'm going to have to "waste" at least one more stamp to set him straight.
If he doesn't believe I was in the hospital, I will forward him my $17,000 bill. LOL
And never in my life, have I ever told anyone, man, nor woman, to shave their mustache or any other patch of hair on their body. I don't even preach against facial hair in general because there is no Bible for it.
AND, the person that he spoke of (though I don't know which individual because it was only last name) and all of their family left our church before I was ever the pastor there. I never pastored a solitary one of them.
That makes me want to just slap his jaws....but, God love him. lol

But congrats to the two of them. :thumbsup2:

Nothing really happened per say. Our pastor did recently take out the last row of chairs to encourage people to sit closer...I've been back row since day one...So lately I've kind of been moving around, BUT that's not the point. Someone noticed I haven't been quite as spirited during song service and I think part of it is who I'm sitting with....So I think a change of scenery is in order...I shall let nothing stand between me and Jesus!
Good idea. I noticed I was getting too comfortable sitting in the same pew all the time so I started sitting in random pews all over the sanctuary. Only negative side effect is the pastor mentioned he now doesn't know where to look for me when he's preaching.
Don't anybody share today or anything now.
Ugh... I'm up. Now to get the house straightened up, in case company shows up....Lou will kill me if the house ain't spotless. :biglaugh: I truely am battling Chinese Disease this morning- Dragon' Butt. :biglaugh:

Gonna be an awesome weekend! We get to see a GP celebrity, then Monday I get to help bankrupt the Golden Corrall in Fort Smith with two other AWESOME GP'rs! I am so blessed- especially since some on facebook apparently think that "Roscoe" is a bow legged cowboy. :laughhard:

Some dude who posted on Chel's facebook comment the other night asked who "Roscoe"was, a bow legged cowboy?....
Er....no. He's not.
It was Nate.
And in sharing, this is terrible.... I just discovered that my Bible is in Lou's car....and I need it to look up something for tonight. I hate using other bibles!
*scrooge alert*
I am fed up with holidays. Seriously.
I don't have any money to buy gifts for anyone and it makes me upset. My parents are broke, we haven't been able to sell the house, I'm just tired of being this broke and junk.
I dont really care about not having gifts for myself, but I enjoy giving gifts to others and I CAN'T.
And to top it off, we ALWAYS go to my Uncle/Pastors house for Christmast and Thanksgiving dinner, so we don't ever have to worry about the whole meal, we just fix a couple of things and go, like everyone else that comes...well this year, they decided to go to Branson for the week, and so we don't have anywhere to eat dinner or anyone to eat it with! And that wouldnt be so bad, but we didn't buy anything Christmas-sy dinner like when we got groceries the other day cause we thought we were going over there.
So...we, my parents and I, will come home after church, to an undecorated house, no special dinner and no gifts at all for anyone.
So blah.
Bah humbug. Is it January yet?!
/end pity party.
Ok there. I said what I've been thinking and I'm good now.
Let's continue with the Christmas cheer!
:bigcheese:
/me *HUGS* Mel
I'm at mcdonalds in the parking lot.
Gotta get some cat food at WM. but the parking lot was FULLLLL, so I came here to surf for awhile before I braved the madness.
Just got finished with lunch at the funeral home. It was ok.
Thanks. I need a few of those.
attempting to do some cleaning at my house before family comes on Sunday
It'll get me hit by Cheesy- but- *Brotherly hug to Mel.*
Wish you were closer....since I have to work, we're not doing anything real special, either, but there will be food.
Somehow, I haven't really gotten into Christmas this year either. I didn't put up any decorations and neither did Lou... we got Chey some presents, but as for me and Lou, money dictates that we wait a couple of months.
Either big Christmas, and no vacation, or little but meanigful Christmas, and vacation. We chose vacation, even though we don't know where we are gonna go yet....

Lou's never been to Florida, or saw the ocean....depending on money, I'd like to take her to the ocean for a couple of days. Of course, this would put us in your approximate area, and as a Ray Stevens fan, I'd have to see where the squirrel went berserk.....
And just so you know...Pascagoula is on the ocean. Our beach is pretty sorry, but there is a purdy 'un about 30 mind from here...just ask Chel. ;)
Lady Melody,
Do you know a lady named Jean Bromberg, maybe from Pensacola?
John :waving:
Nope. I know lots of people in Pensacola but no one by that name.
Just found out they're going to let us off early. :D
Helped feed my sister's cows....hope I didn't rupture my guts.
Mel: Y'all are welcome to come over here. I'm in southwest TN. There's always room for a few more.
Roscoe: Your quandary is over. You will come here for vacation. Much prettier than Little Rock.
Speaking of which... On a question from Chel I ran a search and found out Little Rock is 4.5 hours from here. A bit far to go and return, but if I could think of anything to do out that way I'd go pester you. Ain't got nothing on the horizon all next week anyway.

If'n you do decide to wander thisaway- Monday I'm headed to Ft Smith to harass Mini and John.
Thursday I'm helping Bro Papa with his truck.... otherwise, I'm here all week and would love to have you.
And btw, everyone- Chel's here with Lou and I! :P :P
Throw her back this way when you let her go. :freaky2:
I'm gonna attempt to get out of this nasty rat hole and go to a Christmas service at Bro. Weir's here shortly.
Roscoe: Ask her if she has lost a watch. Her phone must be out of power, she hasn't replied.
My family is watching TV, which means a marked lack of conversation. They're watching some kind of "comedy" show (quotes intentional) about a guy with a skeleton puppet who was supposed to be a suicide bomber, but only blew up himself. His catch-phrase is "Silence! I kill you!" ... and everyone laughs. Comedy must be different things to different people I guess.
Wish they'd turn off that thing and actually talk.
That would be Jeff Dunham and Achmed the Dead Terrorist. :hypocrite:
Went to church, came home.
And "Silence, I kill you!" is pretty much my mantra for tonight.

I tend to like Walter better than Achmed. His attitude usually closely parallels mine.. :laughhard:
She's a celebrity everywhere. It's tough on me though, because for the next two years everyone she has spoken to for even the shortest length of time this week will be asking me, "Hey have you heard from your friend from Texas lately?"

Only totally and completely different.
That's par for the course.

Well....we are up. And Chey is enjoying the company of her "new sister, Chel".... I told her Chel would have to be an aunt because I'm not old enough to be Chel's dad.... to which Chel replied that I looked old enough.....
Rusty is warming up and we are fixing to take chel for a brief ride to the old country store......

I would agree with that random thought. :smirk2: It's the price we pay for living in the sticks......Either dial up at the blazing speed of 28.8 kbps if I'm lucky, satiliette which is too expensive, or nothing..... I just feel blessed after going to a friends house and seeing his dial up was 23.3 kbps...
I've got DSL, but it's not very fast as far as video downloads (like playing Youtube etc.) or watching life streaming stuff or whatever.
It's sunny here.
I'm in a POOR mood today though. Sick and tired of sick crippled people and etc.
28K? Man, it would take days to download a full user-friendly Linux OS. Maybe more than a week!
Roscoe, ever thought of getting an AT&T USB stick? You don't have to get a contract anymore, you can get pay-as-you-go internet just like they do go-phones. With dialup you are probably not in the habit of downloading movies and music en masse so it would be relatively cheap just for checking the forum.
We have DSL @306 Nathan said. I have no idea what that means. We had cable internet at our last place, I think I liked it better. We have wireless which makes a netflix come through the wii. Works well.
I'm so excited for our first Christmas home! Nathan's a bit stressed though bc his truck broke down. Again. :/

Howdy!
Today stinks. Work went horrible. I ate too much when I got home because I hadn't eaten all morning other than a banana. I'm cold. Roomie is being inconsiderate....and don't even get me started on her.

Yes, that is the usual effect.
In other sharing news, on Christmas Eve we all meet here to have "snack" food. Tonight it was some really good pimento cheese, deviled eggs, meatballs and some kind of sausage in some kind of red sauce, tuna, liver pate, crackers (goes with any of the aforementioned, except perhaps the deviled eggs,) chocolate cake, sugar free coconut torte pudding.
Gotta get back down there, I'm missing some good family chit-chat.
walmart wasnt quite a crazy tonight as I feared it might be. Had everyone out of there by 8:15 pm.
Enjoy the rest BSR. Bright and early Monday morning, at 06:00 I will be there, ready and waiting with my cash and my Wal-Mart gift card, to attack the half-off christmas candy. CHAAAAAAARGE!
A couple of years ago I picked up two cases (15 tins to a case) of Royal Dansk butter cookies and put them in my cart. A guy standing on the other side watched me with a stunned/bemused/puzzled expression. I said sheepishly, "They're good." He said, "Apparently so..."
In other news: I have gotten word that many people across this great land are very happy tonight. I myself have just spent a long and enjoyable night eating some good food and listening to some great people talk. I didn't eat far too much, so I will get a good night's sleep and be up and ready to go tomorrow for the family breakfast and general Christmas doings.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
Went to church, came home.
This does not feel like Saturday.
Make sure I don't forget tomorrow is Sunday. :o
And.....I am back at work, where I am going to shamelessly soak the taxpayers of my salary while doing near nothing. After doing so for 8 hours, I am going to be off work for the next five days....
I have started my day with a slice- okay, two slices.....aw, crud, I might as well admit, four slices of home made bread with butter and jelly, and a large Dr. Pepper. :fork: Life is good! Scratch that, life is GRAND!
All you nutcases what check this here place today- HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS! :waving:
Oh, and Cheese- today's Sunday. :P
It depends how thick the slices are, and what the definition of "thick" is. As long as you don't discuss hard measurements you can call them thin slices, thus mitigating the effect. ;)

getting around for the day and preparing for family's soon arrival
Okay, Christmas is over. We all had fun though. Now to... basically sit around and talk for the rest of the day, maybe take a nap, maybe not.
In other words, a very good day indeed. :D
w2cch
The whole family is off taking a nap. What's odd is I'm the one who got the least sleep (stayed up late reading) and I ain't nowhere near ready to sleep.
Anyone having church tonight? I just might make the trip.
In the meantime... somebody POST something already!
Went to church at Knightridge, they had an afternoon service today at 1.
Sis. Monica the piano player was late coming from a family doings or something and I tickled the ivories in her stead for the first part of service.
I don't know who is having church tonight. I know some that aren't, but don't specifically know who is, though there may be some.
Ughh....

well APB survived his first family Christmas Eve with my family. matching pajamas and all.
we are now at his house. i made chili for him, me and his dad.
My family all plans to leave early tomorrow morning. Our time is limited.
And they are watching TV! :frustrated:
I wish, I wish, oh how I wish just for one stinking day out of the year they would shut down the TV stations.
We're glad you got on the Internet to gripe about them watching TV.
I made fudge. Well, I tried. I can't get it out the dish. lol

Nothing else to do, unless you want to watch the sappy Hallmark (tm) movie with them. That's all they're talking about, when/if they talk.
I didn't end up making it to services today. Did enjoy having family over to my house.
Well... I made it through the day, then went to the in-laws for dinner, where my father in law spent most of the evening trying to beg me into letting him have Rusty for a couple of days.
When that failed, he got even by giving my wife an antique piano and delivering it. :o It's attractive enough, I guess. Probably a 1940s model would be my guess and I'm sure it has been that long since it was last tuned. Lou has been playing it, making the house sound like an 1870's Baptist church. :biglaugh:
And Rusty was apparently offended that Pa-in-law would even be considered as his caretaker, no matter how briefly. We were nearly home when his lights went out, then came back on. Pulled into the yard, switched him off- and he won't start. So much for taking him to Fort Smith tomorrow. Guess I'll steal Lou's Caddy...
No one sharing?!? What's wrong with you people? :drillsergeant: SHARE PEOPLE! I WANNA HEAR YOU TALKING ABOUT YOUR LIFE, NO MATTER HOW TRIVIAL. IF YOU WON'T SHARE THEN DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY(pushups or bucks, your choice, but I'd prefer bucks) . :drillsergeant:
And I'm up. Fixing to head out on my two hour-ish drive to meet up with the famous Newsman and that troublemaker Mini. Mini will have to behave for once- with the media and the law collaberating together, we can frame him up, arrest him, try and convict him in the court of public opinion, all at once. :laughhard: And if he's repenant enough, we may even fall back on the whole "minister" thing and pray for his soul. :hypocrite:.
 "Dear Lord, please forgive us for shutting down Fort Smith's Golden Corral, and may they be bless to be able to remain open for the next meet...
Ugh. I spent a lot of the night throwing up because I ate far too much grease yesterday. A family breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and etc, followed by a lunch of leftover breakfast stuff and a supper of equally grease-laden food is too much for my system.
Ah well. I'm better now, and recuperating. Still don't want to eat anything though.
Roscoe I'd prefer the $20. I never did make it to Wal-Mart's half off candy sale. For ME to miss THAT, you know I wasn't feeling well!
I woke up with a sore throat and ears. Which means the beginning of a sinus infection. Silly me for going out in public. Instead of coming home and being all alone yesterday I went with a dear friend from church and her amazing husband to his family Christmas. I played bingo and won a blanket. Had a lot of great laughs and was really happy I went.
Today I...and Roomie if she ever gets home...are cleaning this sty of a house.
I have to make a phone call tomorrow or Wednesday and talk to a man from our church about a job. It's pretty promising. To work in a very much much more Christian environment would be a blessing..but I'd miss my cows horribly...so I'm thinking about being a weekend fill in milker so I can still clean everything once a week too..We'll have to wait and see, say a prayer that God has his will in all of this....because it means most likely moving out on my own as well....
:)

Our Christmas turned out pretty good. The Ramsey's had their big dinner on Saturday night and gave us the leftovers since they were leaving town after church.
I'm at church now, made copies and filled notebooks for this quarters Innergize curriculum.
Fixing to leave here.

I thought of you the other day, Cheese. North Little Rock is having a problem at one of their city parks with a flock of Canadian Geese that have settled there. The news story claimed that each adult goose was capable of producing three pounds of poop a day. :o
I don't know what reminded me more of you- the fact that there were birds involved or the fact that there is a living being in exsistance that is as full of it as you are... :P
I can testify to the goose's excrement production ability. At the United Pentecostal Church's Tennessee district campground we have a lot of geese who have decided to make it their summer home. They come in for a landing like a 727 jet and they leave droppings all over the parking lot.
If only someone had brought a rifle, we could have added some goose to the menu at the dining hall.
I have one Canada goose somebody gave me.

i remember that problem......
In OK, besides the 'normal' waterfowl seasons we have each year, we also have about a 10-day Resident Canada Goose Season each September.. The resident is a reference to the native birds that live here year-round, rather than the migratory ones that begin to come though in late fall.
Also, we have for several years now, had a Conservation Order Light Goose Season (COLGS) That's for three types of light geese. It's meant to literally wipe out as many as possible, as you can use unplugged shotguns and other hunting measures not normally allowed in regular waterfowl seasons. Over the past.hmm maybe 10-15 years, the geese have been doing major, perhaps irrepairable, damage to the arctic breeding ground of many species way up north. Canadians aren't included in the COLGS, though.
See, more about goose hunting than ye ever wanted to know. :)

The local park ranger proposed, and got passed through city council, a one day goose hunt with a limited number of permits issued. I think there are around 200 geese in this one park and they won't leave- they stay year round.
The PETA folks got in an uproar, stirred up all of the "green" people, and now they've called off the hunt until later. Funny- most of the "green" Peta type people I know are the hiking, jogging, and biking types. Guess who was complaining loudest over the goose poop? The "green" people. And now they've decided goose poop ain't that bad.....
And in sharing- I got Rusty lined back out. Corroded battery cables. I am ashamed that I did not take better care of him than that....

:o Not only does he commit such an egregious act of negligence, he admits it on a public forum for all to see! The holidays are making our five-oh a bit lax. :nono:

The holidays ain't making me lax....it's all the baked goodies that came with them. :biglaugh: In addition to the bread, I have had a sweet potatoe pie brought over, and two loaves of homemade banana nut bread, as well as assorted fudge, bon bons, ect. :fork:
And in my defense- the style of cables on rusty are such that the corrosion was not readily apparent by just looking at him. I had to take the cables off to find the corrosion....
Sure, sure, that's what they all say.
Canada geese (it's not Canadian, it's just Canada :P ) are definitely a prolific species that is not in danger of extinction. lol
Unfortunately Canada geese still taste like liver. All geese taste a bit like liver.
As I have stated my preference for pan fried chicken livers before, why is this unfortunate? Because not many people serve goose, because they know a lot of (really weird) people don't like the taste of liver.
It'll get close to 50° today! HEAT wave!

I've heard there are families like this:

Thank you Lord my family isn't one of them. Hope everyone had a merry Christmas, and I hope you and your family will have at least half as good a new year as we do.

I'm not doing that. It's a sloppy slushy mess. I'll let it melt itself. I brushed a bit off the walk in front of the door with the broom earlier, but I'm not messing with anymore otherwise. :P
And I'm not doing what she accused me of doing. I'm making up for lost time, eating. Avocado, a bit of broccoli, some carrots... and a bite or two from the Delacre (tm) tray. :D

Actually, it only makes sense to use the tree as fire wood rather than pay to have it disposed of. The branches make for cool kingling/kindling? cause it flares up fast.
I'm very moody today. I know surprise surprise.
Work went rather well this morning.
Boogers.
Well okay, if that's really what you want...
Locked.
Pbbbbbbbtttttttt!!!
I actually smiled at that.
BTW, be careful, lest ye be visited by the four Raiders of the Great Buffet!
