Im at McDs with Dad...trying to sell our house. So yeah.
Buh Bye!
Five-oh, about your Friday... we were off Monday for Labor Day, so due to workload we will be working Saturday. So this is my Wednesday. The whole week got essentially shifted down a day.
Fortunately we get paid overtime for Saturday. I'm happy about it but a lot of people aren't too happy working Saturday. I have to try to hide my ebullience or they might lynch me for actually *wanting* to work on a Saturday.
They sell houses at McDonalds now?

I was wondering about that too, but considering the source I figured it's possible.

McDonalds Real Estate. Actually, it would be more along the lines of McDonalds Pseudo-but-kinda-looks-like-the-real-thing-(its not beef, its soy) Estate
Mel, are you OK? *HUGS*
Did you ever hear about the job?
Instead of "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun" it'll be something like:
Three bedroom, two bath, open concept, two story, full basement, attached garage on a 3 acre lot.
Well they already call those big, cheaply made houses "McMansions."
:wonders:
/me kicks everyone, and everything...some twice.
Well it's about TIME. Glad GP is back up.
Coughing to much still.
Codeine didn't help much last night.
So I sound very husky today. haha
/me wonders if mc donalds is going to have a $1 menu on the real estate side lol
I have to go tend the neighbor guy's fowl today and tomorrow, as he is going to be in Indy, his dad is having cancer surgery.
He has way more pens of birds than I do.....
Sweet lord of heaven.....
/me sends out smoke signals to the amish so they can rush over to Seths aide
Barb...smoke signals? :eyebrow:
I meant that we were at McDs using the WiFi. Dad didn't want to come to the church and use WiFi, he wanted to go to McDs. He said it's more private.
I am fine. We are selling the house cause the yard and house and such is too big for Dad to keep up, and he won't ever let me mow or anything even when I offer. :smirk2: He doesn't think its a woman's job to help keep the yard up.
So we made a family decision to sell the house and move to town. A smaller place, hopefully closer to church. It will get the house payments down, smaller yard to keep up, and save on gas.
I'm at the church now. After visiting the McDs Reality, we went and got the motorhome, Dad went home with it, and I came to the church. I was gonna go get lunch with granny, but was too late. She ran off with another lady from church. So I'm here alone.
At least GP is back! And yall liturally had me laughing out loud at the speculations about McDs!
/me hugs PF
/me kicks Seth in the hiney.
Oh. And no, I havent heard back about the job. I am approved to work there, but have to go through the application process. So they will call me I expect.
I hope SOON!
Please keep praying!
I almost thought I heard or felt something again.
Did anyone see or hear anything?
You talk that way now...wait till I get my phone back, you will be texting me all day.
/me thought she heard or saw something but was mistaken and goes back to making smoke signals

The McDs Reality? Is this a new show? Glad I don't keep up with those reality shows. What is this one, stars competing to see which one will last longest flipping burgers?
I starred in that show for a couple of years actually...
I keep hearing a faint and distant sound....something like a toot in the wind....
Ack! Toots in the wind are never a good sign :yikes:
:freaky:
I want a nap...but instead, I'm gonna fix to go tend the neighbor's fowl.
Lord.
FINE! if yall are gonna ignore me, I'll just LEAVE!
/me slams the door on the way out.

But as well as making me appreciate home, it makes me want to run away from home, because I have to go tend fowl there...then come home and.............................................tend fowl. :smirk2:
And now I'm eating a cornish hen.
Birds all around me.....and birds inside me. :freaky:

I think I'm gonna load up rusty and go fer a little backroads cruise. I just wish ole miniskirt was nearer and could join me. Woot! Woot!!
I was called a liar tonight at work. :-\
The boss told me at the start of the shift to do one thing. The boss left before 4:30pm. When 3rd shift came in at 10:30pm they hit the ceiling - turns out the boss didn't know what he was talking about.
So far, so good. I did what I was told, not my fault.
About 5 minutes before quitting time, a certain person said she personally heard the boss tell me to do the exact OPPOSITE of what he told me to do, what I had been doing all night, and she outright, point-blank called me a liar. I know what I heard, the boss will verify it tomorrow, but in the meantime it hurts.
Not that there's any real reason to post anything about this here in the forum. Just not in a really good mood tonight. Maybe I should save catching up on all the threads until in the morning.
It's okay, Isaac. We all feel that way sometimes. It's nice to be able to share a frustration and receive prayers or encouraging words. :)
Actually had a pretty normal night at work. And the most awesome part, I didn't leave angry! Yay! I did decide tonight that if I can find a really good job sooner rather than later up yonder where Jeremy lives, I'd be willing to move earlier! I'm just so ready to get started!
His gma and my MOH have asked for our colors for the house and I just have no idea hahaha. I'm gonna have to reaaaally think and maybe have to wait until next visit to really look at the rooms.
Better to be thought and called a liar than to actually BE one.
I. Am. Sleepy.
That is all.
Sorry you have to deal with that Psalm. Hope the boss doesn't weasel out and backtrack to save his face. If he does, eat crow and move on...
Had a good day yesterday.
Started off dropping the kiddos off for school, then drove to work down backroads @ 35MPH. It was absolutely gorgeous outside, so I wanted to savor every moment.
When I got to work, we had a few special planes coming in. I posted a couple pictures on the photo sharing thread. Before the day was over, we had 3 race planes stop in on their way to Reno NV for the big air races. Here is a video of some guys training for the race, which begins next week. http://bcove.me/vzbownud
After lunch, I couldn't stand it anymore. It was beautiful outside. I took off early, went home, put supper in the crockpot, mowed the yard, did a little work on our Jeep, came home, cleaned house a bit, and enjoyed a nice evening with my family.
Wonderful day!
/me *HUGS* Isaac.
Sorry about your bad evening.
Morning, folks. :hi:
Well, operation picture takeover, phase one is complete. Now to wait and see what they say when they come home. I have placed 4 pictures of myself on the Toehays refrigerator!
See, our friend Tiffany has 6! Pictures on the fridge here, and it's like a huge joke with us that she is more special than anyone else...the Toehays explanation? They don't have many pictures of anyone else to put on there...SOOOO, I printed out two pictures of me and Livi, one of me and Chel, one of Juliette, and one of me and Tiffany...lol and I brought them today and now I have 4 of myself and Tiff has 7.
I will be adding more later. But this is a start. :REG:
Mini is just plane crazy. Pass it on.
That's nothing new.
I called that stupid land lawyer to check on status of things AGAIN....it's all ready, he just needs to get them to sign it and says he just hasn't had time yet....maybe Sunday.... Oh. my. word. He killlllllls me.....good Lord.

My pleasant day all to myself went south. Without me. Apparently, the '46 has feelings and I've hurt them. I got up this morning and took Chey to school, then went browsing for more old iron. I had heard of an old truck, a '39 GMC, that I thought I and mini might be interested in, so I tracked it down and had a quite enjoyable chat with the owner, an old man that doesn't have the health to tinker with it anymore. He's still high as a cat's back on the price, though, so off Rusty and I go. I decided I'd go up to the cemetary where Dad is buried to check on his grave.
When I pull into the cemetary, Rusty decided to let me know how displeased he was by the attention I was giving the '39.
I look, and the NEW radiator that I put on him just last winter has a hole in it and is peeing antifreeze out faster than it could be poured in. A phone call and a couple of hours later, Rusty got a ride home on the back of a trailer- first ride he's had in years, we pride ourselves on his drivability. Now I've gotta get the radiator off , repaired and reinstalled in the next two weeks, or I shall be in trouble. Think I'm gonna take the miata to Bro Papa's for a bbq and leave Rusty to sulk in the shop. :P
tended the neighbors nasty fowl earlier
came home and sold some quail....
And such.
I'm thinking about resigning from Sunday school.....while I'm up here trying to finish decorating it. I'll post some pictures maybe!
I'm at the church with Olivia. Just ate some livers and gizzards.
ARGGGG!!!! :flamingmad: Stupid computer!!!! :flamingmad:

I get 4 cd's of music in today from a generous friend, and now this frizzlefrackin' piece o' junk antique steam powered computer I use decideds it will no longer recognize the cd drive. Won't even let me open the drive compartment. :flamingmad:
Even searching for the driver to re-install it ain't working. It keeps telling me it's "not found". See, this is why me and antiques get along better than semi-modern technology..... If this thing were 30 years old instead of 3, I could probably tie it together with bailing wire and make it work. But, no, I'm gonna wind up shooting the darned thing!
Rant over, I'm off to the county fair where I'm sure someone will tick me off yet again. Mini, if you get a call from the jail.....send bail money, I'll need it if people act like this infernal machine. :laughhard:
Hi guys! I miss u people!
Hey Seth, can one have chickens in town? I think I can but don't know who to call.
Somebody come visit KCMO! We have a conference coming up in October.
It's a quiet wknd here. Mel, can't wait to hear how well the new place turns out!
Isaac, do u not have any other happenings in your life? How's G'ma? Any kids' church testimonies lately?
Sorry 5'0, Hope the fair brightens your wknd. Surely a deep fried something will bring temp. comfort. :-)
Leaving WiFi. See yall tomorrow!
Since you ask... Tomorrow our town is having a big festival, shut down main street, people walking up and down with booths everywhere. Our church will be on the scene selling fried catfish, white beans, barbecue, baked beans, slaw, hushpuppies, potato salad (I think... not certain on that one,) hushpuppies, drinks, dessert. Some things naturally go better with others - barbecue with baked beans and slaw, catfish with white beans, hushpuppies and fries - but you can get barbecue with slaw and white beans if you really want to. I think I'll bring some cracked red pepper and make a batch of "wound-up" hushpuppies.
This has been a busy week, but most of them are these days. Being a christian is a lot of stuff, but boring it ain't.
Coincidentally I was talking to God about what to teach for Children's Church Sunday night and I came up with the parable of the servants with 10, 5 and 1 talent(s). This oughta be fun... We just recently lost our best piano player and I've been thinking if only I had taken piano lessons seriously back when I used to spend all my time (and I mean *ALL* my time) playing video games. It'll make me look bad, or at least a bit less good, but I can see it making its way into the lesson.
Speaking of which, good night y'all. I get off work at midnight and when I asked the pastor what time we were firing up in the morning he said 8:00am. I said (really high voice) "yeep!"
Melodya, it varies by individual municipality what their laws or regulations might be. Many places do allow some hens to be kept within city limits. You'd need to verify with your particular city....not sure exactly what person/office you would ask in particular.
Chamber of commerce is a good place to ask first at least if that person don't know they will know who you should call
Exhausted..day 2 of this three day marathon. Ugh..

Meller, If you will call City Hall, (probably code enforcement), they will be able to tell you. Most cities have some restrictions on what livestock can and cant be kept inside city limits. If you are outside city limits...its free range. A rooster and 5 or 6 hens will keep your family well supplied with eggs.

You moron! I did NOT say everything was taller, I said the prices were HIGHER- as in more expensive- than I remembered. :laughhard: And, Lord, I SO hate county fairs. I may actually be showing some of Seth's traits here, but I realized last night that for the most part, I abhor people. :teeth:
On the other hand- I told Lou that going to the fair was quite a freak show. This sounds harsh I know, but the way the folks were dressed and acted made me feel dirty just seeing them. I have never saw so many inappropriate outfits, and I have come to the obvious conclusion that bare midriff shirts and tight pants are not flattering on many people. It is apparent that many people did NOT get the notice on that fact.
And in other news- I stayed up quite late last night making one of my Caramel Apple cheesecakes for the church's bakesale that they were supposed to be having today. Then we get a call that they are putting the sale off because they didn't have enough product to sell, due to folks being out of town, ect. Guess I'll have to eat this cheesecake all by myself........:fork:
Roscoe, since you're his buddy, maybe you should be the one to have the birds & the chickens talk with Jeremy...... :searching:
What is it with bake sale cancellations? I saw someone else post about a bake sale cancellation on FB..lol
And it seems weird to me to be having county fairs at this time of year.... Indiana's are in July and August. There's a couple counties that split up the way they do it and do have some sort of something in the fall as well as the regular summer deal.

Our county fairs have been in the fall as long as I can remember. I actually thought this year's was a little early. Around here, the county fair signifies that summer is pretty much history, and fall, with its perfect weather, is here.
Around here, the county fairs mean it's going to be hotter than Satan's kitchen and is likely to come severe storms. lol
I feel like I'm living in a low budget horror film. I woke up to a bunch of coffin flies around my window that has all the water damage. I pulled the sheet up and was just laying there staring at them in terror and then ran and got the vacuum... and just when I think I've got them all and turn my back... 5 more appear. I have at least 30-40 that I killed this morning. Its so disgusting. I keep get startled by them too and shrieking involuntarily. I put plastic over the wall to try to contain them. Just while putting that up more were appearing. I think they are breeding in the wall and coming through the rust holes in the back of the radiator. The whole area smells like mildew and rot.
Think if I ask nicely, al qaeda will bomb just my apartment while I'm away?
I just rented a car to go upstate tomorrow with my roommate, we're going to some farmers market that has the worlds best pie (excluding my own of course) and going hiking.
That does sound rather frightening. :freaky:
hiking with my roommate or the flies?
it felt like a nightmare enough with all the water that comes in every time it rains. there is leak in the public stairwell outside and that sound of dripping and splashing plus the plink, plink, plink in the buckets I have set up inside... its surround sound of my apartment slowly being destroyed. now add never ending flies looking for death and its just horrifying.
I also have heat blisters from the heat/humidity and stress, we have occasional roaches in the kitchen... if I start seeing frogs then I guess I'm just living the plagues of israel.
Well, I was thinking of the flies....but, perhaps the hiking could be a fright as well. Will you be wearing heels?

My sister took our lawn mower down to her house to mow cause the belt was broke on hers....
She about got killed on it, seriously.... Up on the hill by the house, trying to change gears, the brakes wouldn't hold it and she went backwards down over the hill through the yard. The back tire hit the fence post at the corner, threw her off to the ground, and the lawnmower bounced, flew, or whatever, 6 feet away from the post the other direction, broke the axle and bent the wheel in and and bent the rearend housing. If it hadn't hit the post, she'd have flown across the road, and on the other side of the road is a steep drop off down to the hayfield, there's one tree there she could've hit, and if she missed the tree would've probably gone airborne over that "cliff" and who knows what then... All that being, as long as no car happened to be coming and run over her.
It was exciting to say the least, certainly for her.
:hi:
What a day. And Psalms, thanks, pm answered.
My day started with a text from my brother in law telling me he'd found an old car I might be interested in. He sent me a pic, and I nearly had a stroke. It was a '29 Model a Ford, something I've wanted forever. A call later, and the old man informs me he's looking for a small car, or truck, but would prefer a smalll sports car- like a Miata. :o
I went directly over and drove the "A". It needs work no doubt, but is cool and servicable, and is built as you would imagine a kid would've built in in the 1950's. I think it'd be the perfect garage companion to Rusty. Lou does not agree. If I can get her to come around to my way of thinking, there'll be a Model A instead of a Miata at my house- the guy really wants to trade, as do I.
And Rant-wise- I HATE Walmart. Lou and I decided to buy a cheap laptop from Walmart. every cheap laptop they have displayed, they are out of- at two different stores so far- and they try to upsell me to the higher priced model. This makes me so pig biting mad I could beat the salesperson over the head with the display model, and not even feel bad about it. :teeth:
And other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, the play was fine. :laughhard:
W2cch......but realized I was running out of gas on the way home....have forgot to fill the stupid car up....so dropped one lady off that rides with us, and came back home and swapped vehicles to take granny home cause I was afraid to chance it... Easier to come home and swap cars than it is to get stuck in the middle of the road out of gas and have to call for gas, of which we have none at home anyways...
Anyhow....
Gotta tend the fowl here directly.
Yea verily, Wal-Mart electronics doth mightily stink. My favorite brand of earbuds, JVC Marshmallow (very balanced sound, which is shocking from such a low-cost model) are a flat $20 at Wal-Mart, but can be had for less than $10 at Amazon.com. And what Wally World has in electronics that is not price inflated is strictly junk. The "junk" includes all the laptops I have ever seen there.
In other news: Went to cook at the church, went to work, came home... collapsed. Looooong day. But I got a whole box of very good chess bars, that helped see me through. :D
I got some good stuff at yard sales today. :D
The fair has always been in the Fall for as long as I can remember in Texas too.
It's WAY to hot during July/August; and camps are ending in July still and schools start in August. So therefore you wait until schools been in session a month or two, and then the fair comes!! Yipppee!!
We're already talking about going too! I can't wait for a funnel cake!!!!!! :fork: :freaky2:

I don't like regular twinkies....let alone fried ones. Ew! I don't eat any of the strange things they fry at the fair. I'm all funnel cakes, hot dogs and cotton candy! ll

While ago my FB sidebar was showing my status from 2009 and it was something about it being counterproductive when working at a mental health facility drives you insane... That was there nearing the end of my nuthouse stint when things had gotten really awful with all the crud going on there.....
Ah, it's been a bright sunshiney two year paid vacation from that poop hole.
:D
Later today, I will probably be leaving and offline until Thursday afternoon.
Is it Sunday yet?
I... I made it. I made it through Saturday!
Man, yesterday was a loooooooooong day. Not a bad day really - everything went smoothly at work, and before that we fried a lot of catfish, fries and homemade hushpuppies without anybody getting seriously burned - but it was a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day yesterday.

Well. Quite the busy day today. It being the tenth anniversary of 9-11, they had a ceremony at the State Capitol requiring me to work a bit later than normal. I did get lucky though- my assigned post for the event was in the shade, while most of my cohorts were out in the glaring sun. I was reminded that polititians will take any opportunity to speak, and that bagpipes playing "Amazing Grace"- usually one of my favorite old hymns- is strangely moving and just a touch irritating. Oh, and a 21 gun salute when you're not expecting it will cause involutary release of bodily functions. :o Not me, but a poor little girl of around 4 years old- and I suspect a slightly aged volunteer fireman not far from me.
Hope everyone's doing great- since I was too late for church, I came home and made another of those cheesecake thingies...... :fork:
BOL! That is 3 cheesecakes within like a WEEK! Better be careful there Roscoe!
Wow. I taught a lesson in Children's Church that I was sure would not hold their attention, but I taught it anyway because that's what I was given to teach, and they listened!
Maybe next time I'll teach about trusting God. Maybe I'll teach myself the lesson. >.>
Been tending fowl and such matter.
Mel, have u guys been looking at any houses yet? Or even just driving around to see what's out there?
*hugs* cause I wanna call & gab but it's too late for today. :(
PF, you guys get rain yet?
Mini, have u all had the, what I've been told it's called, Tulsa State Fair? I'm half tempted to look into all us coming to visit. Who knows? We need a little get away jaunt.
Nathan & I sang our first duet today for a choir song. It was fun. :) We sang "I am yours by Darwin Hobbs. Good song!
Seth will u pm me your ebay name so I can look at eggs?
It's the same as on here, chseeads.

He texted me last night around 10 pm to tell me it was fantastic. :teeth:

That is a lesson we can all use.
And to everyone- have a GREAT day. Mine has started fine, but Lou's not so much. She called me when I was 55 miles away to tell me she can't find her keys, and that the babysitter that takes Chey to school was at the e.r. with her 18 month old. The only vehicle that we own that the spare keys were available to is Rusty, and he's down because of the radiator deal. She finally called me back- the keys had fallen out of her purse next to her car, and she hadn't noticed it. So she's running a bit late.
:smirk2:

No, Meller, we haven't gotten any rain. Still have fires around.

My back is screaming. I don't know what it is about a Greyhound bus seat but it seems like every time I ride one my back gets really messed up.
Its most likely the vibration taco not the seat itself.

Hey everyone!
I'm at church. Using the WiFi. Had to come here anyway to give Granny some chicken and dumplings I made for dinner tonight. I felt the need to share.
Gonna catch up, and then head home, stopping for peppers on the way. :fork:
Yall miss me? I miss you...and Mellers, if you want to chat on da phone, I can PM you my Moms number. I just can't text from that phone. Mom would have a fit! So yeah. If she answers, just use a fake accent and ask for donations for some charity! Lol

Unfortunantly, it don't work for me. After a few visits in uniform, and you can eat a hamburger while looking at death and make jokes about it.
Um, I'm glad dinner is over. That's traumatizing. :o
Got dishes done, laundry most the way through, cleaned at the church for a few hrs, mowed the grass, made enchiladas for dinner.
I'm wore out but I feel healthier.
I have an abundance of mosquitoes & chiggers in my yard. So I have to plant some catnip, citranela grass asap. Catnip is 10x stronger than Deet. Hopefully this didn't cause a cat problem though!
We also have a mole colony apparently which means I have grubs. I've never had to deal with them before so if I can't get rid of them, I'm not wasting my time with a garden in the spring. :cry2:

That whole sidetrack of a conversation was your fault. It started with a comment about a smilie that you generously posted and I used. :hypocrite:
And if you discover a way to kill moles, please let me know. I've tried traps, chewing gum, poison and water down the tunnels. Nothings worked, and they are currently excavating my front yard. I was told of one technique, but I forsee bad things if I tried it.
Supposedly a guy I used to work with ran a propane line in one of the moles' tunnels, turned the gas on and let it spew for ten minutes or so. Then he turned off the gas, removeed the hose and tossed a lit match in the nearest tunnel. Nearly blew himself, the house and the front yard away. No more mole problems, but the neighbors reported firey cannonballs ankle high. :laughhard:
Wow. They arrested a guy around here for burning trash today. They are getting really serious about the burn ban since we've had so many fires.
BOL with Roscoe!
I was told by someone who was successful that they come where there's grubs, white larvae things that enjoy good soil. That I'd I get rid of the grubs, the moles will leave. There is a spray I guess that you can get a hook it to your hose.
We'll see.

The Spider Line 6 amp is a great amp. Has several built in effects, so you can play anything from clean to death metal. I think they were $200 to $250 new. $180 for a used one is a little steep.

Me, I wear a coat whenever I'm cold and I don't give a frozen hoot what anyone thinks. I also don't automatically take my coat off when I get indoors - I usually keep it on until I've thawed out and I'm good and ready to take it off.
In other news: Howdy y'all!
On the coat issue... I wore a light jacket today (it's 58 here) and I have yet to remove it. We still have the a/c going full blast at work.
I think this is perfect soup weather - and maybe a cuppa joe too! :)
It was 68 this morning when I drove in for work. It's 71 now. Pretty nice. :D
Took granny to town. I hate town. :P
Polishing off a RBB presently.
Okie, what kind of soups do u like to make?
I wanted to make a pumpkin desert/bread but I'm out of eggs and yeast. and I was going to make cheese burgers for supper. So I'm going to try a recipe for pumpkin burgers. A homemade version of manwhich with a twist.
:o
That does sound very odd. But, God bless punkin.
Well I should be at work right now getting an hour of overtime. But I went to the vet to pick up Nancia and on my way back could not get through town because they shut down the whole highway for a school parade. Apparently they are going to a game tonight. Yay, hooray, I love it when they make me late just so they can show their team spirit.
In other news, Nancia is home and recovering. She's still a bit loopy - sometimes the front end starts heading east while the back end is still heading north.
And just in case anybody here knows what I'm talking about, I got my new M-Audio Fast Track Ultra 8R and it is sweet! Crystal clear preamps, 8 channel recording direct to computer. And my piano teacher gave me some of their Dallas Holm & Praise records to run off to computer. So my music cup runneth over.

Where's everybody at? Man, it's quiet in here.......
And good to see sir John sneaking back in..
I'm here at the moment. At church. Fixing to leave.
I'll be at Livis house tomorrow so I'll have Internet for most of the day. Then I'm taking Mom to Mobile to shop or something.
Been busy this evening, just now had a chance to check in.
*is too worn out to say anything worth saying, and so... sneaks out again*

I need sleep, and to be back in Virginia!!!
What happened to California?
I think it relocated... ;)
I'm at the Toes. All is quiet. Everyone is still asleep.

The POW music vid song is in my head, Mel Mel.
In the true spirit of Sharing, our toilet flushes twice.....like the water goes out and then the water thats coming in as it's flushing goes out again....I don't know if it had always done that or not, I didn't really think so....I'm confused.
As long as it doesn't jack up your water bill.
Kids get to pick out their paint today! Andrew wants brown walls &a forest photo wall mural. They look pretty awesome online so we'll see how it looks applied.
Hubby, Dina & Talia came and we ate Chick Fil A.
Those "efficient" toilets aren't very efficient - you have to flush multiple times, so you wind up using more water.

So yall please say a prayer for my friend Krissy, Olivias Mommy. They lost the baby. :sadbounce:
Aw, that's no good. :(
I know. It's awful. She told me about it Wednesday, but after two Drs appointments it's official now. :sadbounce:
:sadbounce:
Debbie's younger sister just lost a baby recently too.
I'm eating cheese, cucumbers, and nuts.
Awww, that's sad.
The kiddos were playing tag... Olivia hit her arm really hard on the corner of the shed, and... I have this horrid hunch it's broken. *sigh* We prayed for her and have been putting ice on it, but she's not acting like it's any better this evening. If she's not acting back to normal in the morning I'm taking her in to get it checked. Blah. Her parents are out of cell phone reach, so.... :-(
In the good news... I really scored at a garage sale today, and managed to get some things that will really help around here. :)

So you were eating yourself, Larry, Barb and her friends?
Tasty. :fork:
I'm sitting in the parking lot at church, waiting for my group to get here. We are selling donuts today. Well, maybe. We were supposed to be here at 7. I've been here 20 mins now, and no one is here.
And in other news, Sonic breakfast burritos are WAY better than McDs!!

I was off work yesterday, and cleaning around the house a little (shampooing carpets, moving furniture, ect.) I move our trash can, and this spider is underneath. Its hard to tell in the picture, but the body alone is about a inch in diameter, maybe closer to 1 1/2 inches. ITS HUGE. I knew my wife would freak out if she saw it, but its nearly dead, so I am not to worried about it. I figured it would let it die, then I would clean it up.
So I go to the living room, and I am sitting there when this spider comes walking across the living room floor. I knew it was time for action.
I jump up and try to sweep it on a piece of paper so i could throw it outside and as i try to scoop it up, the thing EXPLODES.
I nearly got sick
There is a 3 inch line of what i can only describe as spider guts on the floor. It is without doubt, the grossest bug related thing I have ever saw.
Then the spider takes off across the floor again..only its about 1/2 inch in diameter now...then I look at the "guts" and they are babies! Millions of baby spiders!!! (looking at the picture, you can see the babies all over the back)
It was the grossest thing I have ever seen.
So, I grabbed the vacuum and put a end to a million spiders and their mom...
Arghhh... Just got up and I'm dragging a bit. Five trillion things to do and zero desire to do them. Blah.
Mel, I hated to read of the loss of a baby....I know it's hard on the parents and I'll be praying for them.
And Mini- you mass murderer. That poor little mama spider just wanted what was best for her children and you, you monster, you killed them. So sad.
Welp, guess I'm gonna try to find my motivation. Have a great day everyone.

In other news, I have a friend at work who has lots of scupperdine vines (if you don't know what those are, they are the white grape version of muscadines) and she gave me a bag full. With muscadines and scupperdines you don't eat the whole grape, you su ck it out of its skin, then spit out the seeds. So I'm sitting here with a bag full of grapes and a trash can.

I wish you were closer to take all these egg cartons that I need to get rid of.
Went to work, came home. Overtime ftw!
Fuzzy I'd take the cartons, but at the moment I have no one who will take them from me. My egg supplier's hens have stopped laying. I'm having to subsist on (ugh!) weak-shelled, watery-yolked store bought eggs.
1 glop peanut butter (all natural)
1 glop apricot preserves
2 large marshmallows
Put all in bowl and heat until marshmallows start puffing up. Stir well and serve on warmed whole wheat sourdough. Yum!
Man Mel, my heart hurts for her.
We are having the family I teach Bible study to over tomorrow for dinner. I love that we have one amazing, God moving service on Sunday so fellowship has a chance.

Oh & on eggs. Free range eggs taste better but we bought some organic free range & they are kind of weak & watery.
Why is that Seth?
When you buy eggs labeled "free range" at the supermarket, "free range" has a very wide meaning. A lot of "free range" chickens never go outside and never eat a single bug. It's a marketing thing.

I don't know, could be as WC stated, just depends on the marketing as to what the terms really stand for.... Difference in how they're housed or what they eat.... I don't know.

But all is well, we sold the Donuts, and made $320 profit. Not to mention the fun time we had at the festival thing. And I also got some awesome Livi time, and a sweet heart to heart late night conversation with Krissy.

HI!! :hi:
We had beef tips and rice for lunch. Yummy.
We had 3rd Sunday dinner at church today. "Dinner" in this region = lunch. Chicken and dressing, green beans, corn, rice and mushrooms (always vanishes quickly) and some other stuff.
And then there was a delay because one of the bus kids hid. Kept 13 other bus riders waiting while I enlisted some help and searched the whole church, which is a good bit of searching - ask Chel, she's seen it. I didn't tell her parents but I did make her apologize to the rest of the bus for making them wait.
PARTY!!! :bustamove: :disco:  :partyballoons:
It's been more than two months now since I started teaching children's church Sunday nights, so I decided it was time for a party. The poor kids have been listening to me yak long enough, they need a break. So I checked in with God, then asked Sis. Kim if she was doing anything of the sort this morning (don't want a party in Children's Church Sunday morning AND night) and got clearance to proceed.
The amazing thing is the brownies... um, cake... er, something... turned out well. I started out with a brownie mix because I don't know any brownie recipes that I've personally tested and found to be good yet. But you can't get a brownie mix that makes a full 13X9 pan of brownies, at least not here, so I added a bit of flour, sugar, milk, cocoa and another egg to the mix. Then just for kicks I unwrapped 20 little mini candy bars (assorted variations on chocolate) and sank them down in the batter. Baked, cooled, sliced, tasted... wow, it was good!
I'll serve them with ice cream on top and we should have a good night.
Went to church came home.
Dad came out when we got to the house about to cry half the time and acting like he was about to have a heart attack saying there'd been a bad accident at my sister's house and a kid was hurt....
So the deal was, this neighbor guy (they have a trailer on the next road over and they just spend weekends or vacation there, don't actually live there) and his two little boys had stopped at her house for something... He got out of the truck, kids were still in it. Truck comes out of gear and starts back over the hill backwards (this is becoming a theme at her house for things running backwards over the hill lately :freaky: ). The dad can't catch the truck. It plows through the gate, and as it does, the youngest kid, 4 years old, falls out...Don't know if he was trying to open the door and get out cause he was scared, or what.... But he falls/is thrown out as the truck goes through the gate, he kinda hit the fence or something, but that's where he landed injured.... The other little boy, 6, remained in the truck as it flew through the pasture and slammed backwards about dead center of the tailgate, which was down, into a light pole down towards the road, and broke the light pole off. Truck stopped with the stump of the light pole against the back axle. Light pole fell down alongside the truck. Little boy in the truck was fine.
My sister called 911 and they came and got the other little boy...he had some cuts, but none of those were too major after he was cleaned up.... He did break his left arm and leg and is going to have to have surgery on them (or one or the other, don't know exactly what it will consist of) though.
I will post pictures of the wreck here in a minute....
After, during, and/or while all this was transpiring...one of the fire trucks that was there broke down in the middle of the road and it was forever before they got it fixed and were able to leave. lol
Lord, what a day..... All I did was come onto the scene after the fact. My sister about had a conniption fit though....
When it happened, the kids' dad told her to go over and get his dad who was over at their trailer or wherever...so she jumped in her vehicle and flew across the yard INTO the powerlines that were now dangling there that she didn't realize in panic and haste were there.... Tore the antenna up on her car....made a few marks that can be buffed out.... Didn't fry her at least...nor did it fry the kid(s) or anyone....
Lord.
So I was down there doing one thing or another for a long while....came back and had a BBP while ago.
:smirk2:
All that running around can't be good for a person.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... I squeezed most of a bottle of Torani fudge syrup over the top of this cake/brownie/whatever. Not that most of the kids will be able to appreciate the difference between Torani and Hershey syrup but, being me, I had no Hershey's syrup on hand. And I never will.

Broke down firetruck....
I'm just glad the kid who bailed out was okay.
The tailgate looks about the same as the front of my car did when I went off-road and wrapped my Ford Escort around a light pole. The engine block finally stopped it.
Bet they'll never get that tailgate closed again.
Dinner went well. I love loving on people. The kids want to come back next Sunday & come for a playdate and 1said he wants to BBQ when it warms up again, next summer! LoL
This house is not pretty. It needs work. But I have said for a few years that if we got more space, that I would use it for God. My house is clean so how can I not brimg people in & love them? How can I not use it for fellowship? I must!
That's awesome MY!
Well the first ever Children's Church Sunday night party was a success. We have had many Children's Church parties on Sunday morning but I thought it was time to break up the routine Sunday night. They liked the brownies/cake/whatever-it-was, especially with ice cream on it, and there was much less chaos than I anticipated.

What a great evening! Not too cold or hot, sunny- perfect. Lou called before coming home and wanted to do some grocery shopping, so I had to run the checkbook. which I had, uptown. On the way home I thought about what a perfect hick I was- I'm driving a 65 year old truck, wearin' overalls, packin' a .45 in case of snakes or other varmits, and drinking a glass bottled sodywater.
As icing on the cake, I found an old bluegrass gospel instrumental cassette which went right along with the mood. I enjoyed the sounds of banjos and mandellions, with the occasional fiddle thrown in. Now, I've just finished a plate of sketty, and I'm fixing to go relax with a good book. Life could not be better! :teeth:
Oh, and Lou managed to used her coupon clippin' skills to save us upwards of $30 bucks. Twas a grand day indeed. :hi:
What, pray tell, is a "mandellion?"
Swam in the new pool today! It was awesome.

Went to work, came home. I hijacked the piano lesson to get the teacher's help figuring out chords on "I'm not cool." Yes, that is a song by Scott Krippayne. I recommend the live version over the studio version.
And I have decided to do a soundtrack for "Ain't no rock" for Children's Church.
In other SHARING news, I found a good eatery that makes real hamburgers from real ground beef, not preformed patties. A rarity in this area - You can drive five miles and pass two barbecue places but can't find a good place to get a REAL burger.

Morning, all. :hi: Jenn, I love the pool. Lou would kill to have that in our back yard. Maybe someday....

[/quote] And Cheese, that was my attempt to spell "mandolin ". Obviously, spelling is not my forte.
Morning :hi:
Howdy y'all. Another cloudy, rainy day here. Good for taking long naps. :)
:pound:
What's that for? You opposed to naps?
I'm opposed to you getting rain and naps and me not getting them. ;)
I thought you got some rain over there. And it looks like I won't be getting a nap, too much to do atm.
We got "some" rain. We need lots and lots and lots to do anything about this drought. I'm thankful for what we got, but it's nowhere near enough.
Eating cctobt and gotta go to town and get some chick feed and such in a bit....I hate town.
I need some sleep haven't been getting much. :hi:

Oh, I almost forgot.... Mel-Mel says goodnight to everyone.... She got texting on her mom's phone now.... But she wasn't anywhere to be online today I don't think... But I think they're going to go back to McDonald's to try to sell the house again tomorrow.
Thanks, Sethiepoo. Yes, I have texting on moms phone now. Still dont know when I will get MY phone back. Lord.
WHOOT!! They are playing Always Be My Baby on the speaker at McDs...this song brings back some crazy memories of my teenage years.
Happy Belated to Seth. His present from me was for me to have the ability to text him on his Birthday. He should feel special. ;)
:hi:
that song takes me right back to 6th grade. I was 'dating' this guy named Colin. He said it was 'our song'. I preceded to tell him we needed to break up since he didn't even listen to song lyrics as it is a break up song. lol.
hopefully fixing my car [for at least this time] tonight. after fixing the themostat i developed a pretty bad oil leak. :-\ I have THE WORST luck with cars. I told APB that he just needed to move me somewhere with mass transit
Okie Dokie.
Leaving McDonalds. I got to go to WM, and Ill be headed home to the land of non communication.
Except now I added Moms phone to get texts from FB and Twitter. So Ill be more in touch than I was. lol

Went to the feed stores..... I hate town...society...people...you know, all that crud...
I also hate trying to save, and losing....
Online, scratch grains at Tractor Supply showed that the price had went up like $4 over what it used to be.... (Feed is always going up, so that was shocking, yet, not...) ANYways, I was at Orscheln before TSC, and their scratch was on sale for $10.99, which is a dollar more than what TSC used to be.... So I went ahead and got a bag.... Then when I went to TSC, theirs in the store was still marked $9.99....sheesh.... One of those things where it's not worth going back and returning something at another store to get the savings though.... So pooooooopola.
I need to do a bunch of fowl tending.
Hardy har har Seth....
Went by the mall for some Chikfila and ran into a friend of mine from church (when I actually go) and just life in general. It happened to be her lunch break so we ate together and talked about church.
Then on my way home I passed my preachers wife! Ok Jesus, I get it. I'll be at church tomorrow night. Happy now? Lol

:hi: Hi, ISG
Hi Fuzzy! I'm 30 today...old :( and sick with salmonella...or shigella, they aren't sure...Oh and now I have something called reiter's syndrome...Which kinda sounds to me like any time I get an infection in my body my body thinks I need arthritis like pain as well...:( Happy Birthday to me........
Happy Birthday! :partyballoons:  :birthday:  :partyballoons:
Sorry you feel bad. *HUGS*
Thank you very much!
Nice to see you Bird Head....happy birthday, but get over the crud.
Hi ISG! :waving: Been wondering what happened to ya. Happy Birthday and I hope you get to feeling better soon.
I was on the brink of being backslid. Thankfully I have a wonderful church that called and called and called to make sure I was okay. I real reminder of God using people in our lives. A lot of it had to do with my job, I am the only girl, and in a rather rough crowd of young men...just have to watch the influence others have, and things...:) But I'm back now :)
Well, if need be, we can all kick your behind as well to keep you in line. :freaky2:

That's not any kind of bread
I'd use. Blech! Floppy, spongy, gummy store-bought loaf bread is not my style.
IowaSkirtGirl sorry to hear that. Stinks being sick on your birthday, you can't enjoy it. And all the people who would be giving you all that attention due the birthday girl don't want to be around when you're sick. :/
It's now 2 am. APB has been at my car for 3 hrs now and we haven't even gotten close to the part we need to fix. Apparently we have to take apart half the engine to get to it....
Between the lack of sleep, the gallbladder pain I currently have, and my swollen knee....I'm calling in tomorrow...
That all sounds awful.
Morning :hi:
Afternoon. :smirk2:
Been tending fowl.
Eating cctobt for brunch.
Still morning here. ;)
Yeah, and you're still a weirdo too.
What's your point? :smirk2:
:P
"Weird" as used in this context does not signify. What is considered weird is determined by the majority. As the person who just called Fuzzy weird is himself decidedly abnormal in more ways than can be counted, his judgments of who is or is not weird can not be considered valid.
Nor can the statements made in the post above, by the black pot.
Too predictable. Try a different response.
Now, boys, be good. ;)
Seth will have to be good for both of us. I must leave for work. Two hours overtime per day rocks.
I'm laid out on the couch. Car still isn't fixed and my knee hates me today. Planning on going to church tonight.
:smirk2:
:waving: Posting from work. Having problems with my home 'puter. :waving:
Good, we didn't like you anyways. :hypocrite:
Went and burned trash....something in it exploded like a gunshot...skeert the poop out of me. We don't throw explosives in the burn trash....I don't know what escaped us....I don't know if it was in my trash from the garage/outside or stuff from the house....I don't remember putting anything explosive in there though.... Sheesh. lol
Oh, and our dog was bit by another dog at the store while ago. She was in the car with her head out the window and some other big dog came up and snapped at her snout...she's got a mark down near her nose.
Went flying for a few minutes. Great day at the Airstrip.

Going to James's for dinner...... Be back later. Hold my calls.
I am going to :fork: then go to church and  :clap2:  then come home and
Made it through the day, although there was a little doubt for me. Last night while trying to move a heavy object, I managed to pull a groin muscle, I believe. Long as I'm walking, it doesn't hurt bad, but if I sit down or try to get up, it feels like a gang of midgets kicking me with steel toed boots. I'd appreciate prayers- and pain meds.
Supposed to have a visiting preacher tonigt- he better be a calm one, I won't be able to do laps, this time. :laughhard:
Hello all. I am at church.
:hi:
Went to James's. Took a wild hair and went through the old gravel back roads through the woods...it was a very lovely day for a drive....and having rained this week, the road was not dusty...not muddy...so it was very nice.... I didn't know where I was going after a certain length of time....but I knew if I kept veering to the right I'd eventually hit something familiar....lol Finally emerged in Kurtz.
When I told Mel-Mel I was going down the gravel back roads, she asked if I was driving Rusty. :laughhard:
I thought it was funny. :P
*cough*
Anyways, piddled around over there, came home.
Gotta tend fowl in a minute.
Church was awesome. Alot of people from my old church are now going to my home church. It's kinda wild. I'm not used to seeing them there. It's like they are out of context. Lol
Made oatmeal cookies.
Sounds good! I've been trying to mix it up a bit at breakfast. Some ww p.buttet oatmeal cookies would be a nice change from the piece of toast they usually get with their egg juice/fruit. Though I did make pumpkin muffins today.
Heads to bed inspired. :)
:hi:
Went to work, came home.
Went to work, came home.
Oh wait, I already said that.
From here on out this week is gonna get hectic. We have a group of hunters holding a tournament in a town near here, some kind of AKC thing or something. Whoever's dog finds the most wildlife of a certain kind wins. They're camping out Thursday, Friday and Saturday, they do it every year somewhere around here, and they always want our church to provide food. Apparently my pastor is every bit as good a cook as we at my church think he is. So every year we haul the church hot bar to wherever they have set up that year and sell food.
Thing is, these hunters don't keep normal hours. They go out hunting at dark. So we serve supper, maintain a light supper for stragglers and folks hanging around, then serve breakfast about 1am-2am. As I get off work at midnight, I'm the night shift at the hunt tournament.
It should be a blast. Anything we do in my church is great because my pastor, asst. pastor and etc. are a fun bunch to hang out with. But it's gonna be hectic, I won't have a lot of free time from here on out.
Weeeeeeee!

Cheesy, ole boy, you couldn't handle driving Rusty. :biglaugh: The bliss and peacefulness would drive you even more batty than you already are. And there ain't nothin' like a dirt road to help you get your head on straight.
And Mel, I thought of you last evening. Our visiting preacher, Bro Lawrence, was from Missippi. He was a couple hours away from you, though, and I don't remember the name of his hometown. He was right on target- Bro Papa's been teaching a series on revival for the past two months. Bro Lawrence didn't have a clue, but opened up teaching on Revival. He did a great job.
I feel much better today, gotta go take Chey to school...Toodles, y'all. :waving:
It only made sense that you would be driving Rusty if you were headed down a gravel back road to nowhere.
I'm sitting with Olivia today. :) Sweet child. I'm glad she is still a bit too young to understand about the miscarriage. She hasn't mentioned anything about her "brother" lately, and since we have stopped mentioning the baby in front of her, she will soon forget about it. Hopefully. :smirk2:
My left eye is sore and swollen. Puffy and translucent on the bottom eyelid. This isn't the first time this has happened. I went to the hospital the first time when it did this, it was way worse than it is now though. They said it was allergies and didn't even give me anything for it. Just told me to take OTC Beneadryl. (sp?)
Hopefully it's reached it's peak of pain and swollen-ness and won't get worse than it is now. Blah.
I didn't get my job back at the hospital. The whole hospital is on a hiring freeze, and so while they ARE shorthanded, and WANT me to come back, they cannot hire me right now. So double blah.
I think that's it for now. I'll be in and out all day today!
:hi:
I am not familiar with a Bro Lawrence. Well, except for our head usher, Bro Lawrence...but he was here last night and doesn't preach...lol
Actually, I'm not too familiar with many preachers/Pastors in this district. I've only lived here almost 3 years, and I have yet to go many places in the state.
Now if it was a Florida preacher...I could prolly tell you his whole family story...I seem to know everyone in Florida!

I remember when I was about 12 it made the news that the State of Mississippi had hung new Welcome to Mississippi signs that were misspelled and was offending people. They could be seen as offensive considering how it sounded from the spelling. lol

We know. :P
It can be handy, especially at work. I'm always coming up with small ways to do the job better and faster. I ran more than a thousand parts in about an hour last night, where most people don't get near half that because it's not easy to get the parts separated... unless you do what I figured out how to do last night. I showed the setup guy so he can show other people when he is setting them up on the task.
Nerds rock.
Well I'm glad you didn't share anything while I was gone.
Went to the church and cleaned.... Made a dent in it....Didn't even get into the sanctuary yet tho....eek....
I am tired. 12 hours today...15-18 tomorrow...this job is going to kill me...
BUT the good side is...I've lost almost 3 sizes...
Wow... you go girl!
That's awesome, ISG. I bet you're stronger too.
Great!
Sandra, I finally got a chance to pop back in and noticed you'd asked about Olivia's arm. It apparently isn't broken, 'cause she was using it on Saturday and Sunday. And as far as I know her parents decided not to take her in for x-rays. So I'm assuming they figured out she was just badly bruised or whatever. *shakes head* Those crazy kids. It was a wild 4 days, lemme tell ya! ;)
Don't have time to try to catch up on everything else. I miss you all. *sigh* Our current schedule is about to kill me.

Oh, & Nathan got stuck for a moment in the attic opening. They kids were laughing so hard! It didn't help that I "tried to help" by poking, I mean pushing him on the bum with a hanger. He was very vocal about that. Hehehe
Made a fire tonight, it was cozy.
Oh! & Andrew informs me that light colored jeans are Not in style. I'm out to prove him wrong, or make him wear them anyway to get over himself. He needs jeans & I don't have extra $ to get some right now & a cool kid gave these to him.

Yeah, I heard that about Bro. Haney.....
For those that haven't heard, they found a tumor on his brain and doctors have only given him a few weeks. That may not be what God gives him, of course.
I hadn't heard. Not having Internet on moms phone is the pits. I'll say a prayer for him...
I was thinking yesterday, I am actually doing ok without a phone of my own. Dad and I went out to the store last night and I had forgotten to take Moms phone with me, and I didn't realize it till I was in the store looking around...I happened to think of something to tell Krissy, and realized I couldn't...but then I thought about it, and it was actually very freeing of sorts to realize I was out and about and NO ONE could contact me at all. In any way. I didn't freak out like I normally do...I actually enjoyed that fact.
Weird I know.
Especially for ME.
Plus I haven't been online at all since Thursday. I get the FB updates through texts on Moms phone, but other than that, I havent been on. It's kinda nice. ;)
*HUGS* Ruby.
We are selling donuts today again. Supposed to be at church at 7. It is now 7:36 and not one other person is here yet. :smirk2:
AND...the transmission went out on Dads van, so he is using the truck today. That means he dropped me off at church and I am stuck here. No vehicle. So I really don't know how I'll get back home. I guess I'll ride the church bus when Wes takes the kids home after Youth festival tonight. *shrug*

Donuts should be sold early...what's wrong with those lazy no-show bums?
I need to go back and clean more at church after I tend fowl and such....
The Morrises from Jamaica are going to be at church tonight.
Ya mon.
Writing my preview for the M90 Scripture Memorization Challenge we're presenting to the church.
Then I gotta write the skit we're doing....
Then my Young Adult Worship team is doing the music Sunday night in because we are singing at a Texas Hyphen even called Fuel that they have every October next weekend.
Busy ministry weekend! Pray for me ya'll - despite almost 98% done with this cough, I've now been congested for 2 days! I need healing seriously in my body! I've been praying for 3 weeks for healing. I need some relief! In Jesus Name!
was supposed to get up and go biking with the church today but considering i was in the ER with APB's mom til 3 friday morning....I needed sleep. Badly.
Bought groceries for the 1st time in 2 weeks. I'd never been so excited to buy cheese and milk before.
Doing laundry. APB is coming over later to HOPEFULLY fix my car and I'm making us dinner.
Howdy y'all. Went to work, went to cook, came home after 3:00am.
I got a good night's sleep though. Bro. David and Sis. Pattie were there until after 3:00am and they had to be back at the church to help with something else at 8:00am. I didn't find this out by them grumbling about it though.
:hi:
Whew! Been a busy couple of days, as I'm sure you know if you read the "Adventures of Mini and Roscoe" thread. I really enjoyed myself yesterday, and enjoyed being with my friends in person once more, even if only for a short time. And it was a double treat to meet Pa Miniskirt.... Good people, all of 'em.
Last night Chey was running a fever, so the majority of my evening was spent cuddling her- she's a little cuddle bear when she's sick and only wants her Daddy. She seemed to feel better today, and we went to the library and the mountain for the swap meet before coming home to attempt to win brownie points with Mom by mopping the floor and cooking dinner. Mom's a bit bent because she had to work and missed her shopping partner (Chellebelle), and Chey's unhappy because she didn't get to see Brennen- notice she said nothing about the rest of the family. :laughhard:
Now I'm cooking bbq'd chicken breast, garlic mashed tators, ranch beans, and a blueberry caramel cheesecake- see, sunlight, I'm branching out. :laughhard:
That is all. :waving:
Went to the church and cleaned more....Not done yet.... Sanctuary from the ceiling halfway down the wall and stuff on the walls is cleaned....bottom part of the wall and everything that sits on the floor left... :P Swept the most obvious of crud up.
I must confess....
I play CDs over the sound system sometimes while I'm cleaning or doing things at the church...and there is one that is just a CD of organ music...it's a Hammond sales CD actually.... The last song on it is just shouting music, and when I'm there alone, everytime it gets to the point that that one comes on, I have the overwhelming urge to jump up and dance....
So I do. LOL :P
I CANNOT for the life of me do the black man dance though....so I just do the poor white dance till I get tired. lol
Today I was up on a ladder cleaning a ceiling fan when it came on, so I got down off the ladder and danced a jig.
And no, if you're wondering, it's NOT in the spirit I'm afraid.
:P
That is all.
I have to get ready for church shortly though.
BOL! that was totally great!
bahahaha Seth that's hilarious....
I dance all the time to my black gospel...
Direct the choir that's singing on the song...
ad lib like I'm a black sanger...hahaha
:freaky2:
Wow! I totally just got a great visual. That's awesome!
BOL!!
I was actually visualizing what would have happened if he did the jig while on the ladder. lol
Making dinner.
Car still isn't fixed.
Oi vey....
I'm glad you all enjoyed my jig. :freaky2:
Went to church, came home and all that....have to tend fowl in a minute...
Lordddddddd..... The well pump died right before church..... I don't THINK that the well is dry, it's been raining...I'll have to check the water level, but regardless whether it is or is not, something has been wrong with the stupid pump for a long time and I've been putting off doing anything to it...there's been no water pressure and just a pitiful trickle.... So either way, something has to be done to the stupid thing..... Along with my list of 90,000 other things....Criminitely.
I'm going to move those to the top of my priority list. Maybe if I take care of the Good Lord's Honey Do List, He'll send the Amish to build my chicken pen. :smirk2:

I'm just overwhelmed...... Bah...Lord.....
Thought for the day: When a person, for reasons of cooking/cleaning at a hunting tournament, gets to bed right at 4am and the alarm rings at 7am to get up and get ready for church, that does not cut it. Much red in the eyes today. At least I'm not the only one - the pastor and both youth leaders were there until the same time and we all need to be at church about the same time.
I told Bro. Robert after I get the bus kids in I might just sneak off to a back room and lie down for a bit. He laughed like he thought I was kidding.
Rainy day. Going to church.
Stuff.
Another night full of :cry2: but now I'm off to church...Maybe I can pray these tears away...
I really feel like a lot of times the only place I have where anyone really cares is here...I don't share my thoughts for attention, as a lot of people IRL seem to think I do...I guess it's not that I don't matter to them at all, it's probably more like they are as busy as I am and don't even notice the tears on my face...So I'll go cry my way through church, they one place where tears are noticed...and accepted...
Praying for you ISG.
Thank you...prayer has got to help.....it can't hurt right?
Working as the APG today. 15 more minutes then I can hop in the van and drive for 5 hrs (including a trip to Greeneville Psalm!)
It's been awhile since I've said this, but I'm really looking forward to church this evening. I'm just excited about the new (but old to me) faces there. Seeing my friend Katie and her husband Steven Wednesday night just warmed my heart. She has been an amazing friend through everything and I'm glad to have her on my side so to speak. Lol
Ugh. Back at work. And they're having potluck at church today, and I'll probably be too late to eat. Oh, well, my cheesecake will make it anyway.... Lou told me she was taking it- one less item for her to cook.
Lord, I'm tarred.... Went to church, came home, went to a family reunion..... I could have just laid down and slept right there. Mercy.
Ooooh, family reunion! Love 'em. We always make too much food, it's always very good and the refrigerator always runneth over with leftovers.
As for sleep, I highly recommend it. After a good long 2+ hour nap I feel much better.
My neck and such hurts....from cleaning ceiling fans and reaching, stretching, looking up, etc. etc..... Ow. :-?
And it's rainyyyyyyy....I don't want to tromp out in the old cold rain and tend fowl.....
Shew....I'm still burnt out on salads.... I just ate one, and it was nasty as gall. :-?
Seth, go to your nearest buffet that has a man-food section (lots of red meat, and veggies like mashed potatoes and fried okra,) and put four helpings of meat and one of veggies on there. Eat and repeat. Come back and tell us what thou thinkest!
John :waving:
"Eat and repeat." I like it! :thumbsup2:
We just found out our assistant pastor is resigning as of today. That makes a lot this year... assistant pastor and wife, youth pastor and wife, Sunday School superintendent and his wife who was the main piano player for our church.
I just got a whole red velvet cake! I commissioned it of the pastor's wife since she was doing them anyway to slice and sell at the hunt tournament. The money for it went to the youth department, which was backing and benefiting from the sale of food at said hunt tournament. I sliced the cake and stuck it in the freezer. When frozen, I will put the slices in bags and back in the freezer. Then I'll have red velvet cake whenever I want it.
Has anyone seen SippinTea lately? She never got back to me on whether or not those chords looked okay for "Blessings."
I loathe tending fowl in the rain.
And I hate people.
:P
:couch:
Could be worse Seth.
Oh....lord...Weird Cat...I must say, I had to think of you today.... One of my cousins was wearing five-finger shoes at the reunion. :P She apparently likes them about as much as you do, because I have seen her wearing five-finger shoes before too.
If anyone is curious as to what my eggs look like when I ship them, here's a video one lady made that got some off of Ebay....she made this video when she unpacked the eggs when she got them.

Then here's one she made candling the eggs....

That's interesting, Seth.
i just love not being able to fall asleep.... been waiting two hours lol.
I just love having to get up and go to work. I don't understand why I couldn't have been rich instead of good looking.
Morning, everyone. Hope you have a great day! :waving:
