Anyone else annoyed with FB today
It's being a little slow to load... but I use it to waste time, so... Hahaha. :)
Eating lunch. I hate having early lunch! 10:30 is way too early! Ready for a nap, but I won't get one until I go to bed tonight! Gonna have to eliminate something out of me schedule soon for sure...
Hmm. I'm kinda tired.
:hi:
So, went to church came home.
Discovered that the Lord has been gracious sometime between Sunday and today..... They're working on the road right directly in front of the church, and I mean directly, all the way up to the concrete slab in front of the building.... And I suspect it was the steam roller compactor thingy they use that vibrates and flattens and compacts the gravel and crud, because the thing makes the ground shake like an earthquake, I was over there the other day when they were using it.
So anyways, time for church to start, I hadn't noticed anything out of the ordinary, I go sit on the organ bench, look across to the other side of the room and see that the oil lamp is missing from the shelf on the wall. For eons there have been oil lamps sitting on shelves on each side of the platform.... I thought Oh, Lord.... After prayer requests while everybody is praying I run over there to look, and thankfully, this is the good part - the carnage was confined the best it could be...
The globe on the lamp broke into a gazillion pieces, I still have to clean the glass all up, but the body of the lamp itself was laying on its side on the piano bench... The bench has a removable pad on it, and that had soaked up what oil had leaked out of the lamp, there wasn't a lot of oil in it thankfully as well, so it didn't run out a huge lot, and the piano bench has a leather top, so it didn't soak into wood or ruin anything of that nature. For this, I give thanks.... It was unfortunate that it did what it did, but if it had to do it, that was the best scenario. I was afraid it'd fell and leaked out on the carpet, but praise the good Lord, it was confined to the piano bench pad.
Also good about it, was that the piano keyboard cover was closed, so no glass got into anything in a bad way.
I am evermore thankful the one on the organ side didn't fall, because if it'd fell and did like it did on the piano over on the organ, it would've had shards of glass all down in the keys and everywhere because the lid is open all the time, and it would've leaked oil out on the bench pad and directly down to the wooden bench.....
So praise God it didn't.
Those lamps shall no longer sit there. The one on the organ side fell one time years ago when the building was being worked on. The piano was on that side at the time. That time it fell in the floor and leaked out.... Couldn't really see it on the carpet, but when we replaced the carpet a few years later, you could see the stain on the underside.
It's a God's wonder that they have not been knocked off more times than they have, just from bumping into them or something, because they're little piddly shelves that are JUST big enough for those lamps to sit on.
Anyways, they shall no longer sit there.....
A few years ago when we had that earthquake here, I went to the church that morning to check and see if anything, such as those, had fell down, and they had not. lol
But, I've had enough of that. If one did fall on the organ, I would. poop. a. brick.
Anyways.
I need to go tend the fowl. :P
Got a place to move to. Moving Monday. Andrew starts school on Wednesday.
No. no pressure. *4 more gray hairs*
Keep breathing MY!!!
Picked up APB from work (his car was having spasms today apparently). My endeavor into making chicken tacos (not to be confused with our Taco's knee) was a great success. Then I took him home. I'm jealous. They can see all the stars at his house. Boo to all the streetlights in town!
Going to bed. Work all day tomorrow.
I have an unspoken prayer request I need some help praying about. It's very important! God knows what it is!!!!
Thanks in advance!!!

Ok...I've waited for Kimber. Sh was supposed to go home and post. I was to meet her here tonight, but alas, she isn't here and my eyes are sleepy. So I'm going to bed. I'm keeping Olivia tomorrow, and I need sleep.
Night night Kimber. I'll read it tomorrow.
That is all.
Looked online for ideas. Looked at Hobby Lobby for ideas. I was given TONS of pink candles and black & pink ribbon and tea lights and tealight holders by my friends mom. They got married in March this year..and are how Jeremy & I met. So very thankful she's letting us use them! :) will def help me out in smaller purchases adding up. I intend on searching online for my dress! On theknot or somewhere, I saw that someone had found their wedding dress thru a dry cleaners. Apparently people abandon dresse there? Sounds really...odd. Like maybe you'd have to live in a bigger city for this to happen! Haha..
Today has been a relaxed day. I slept for six consecutive hours. I had oreos and milk. I've been listening to some Tye Tribbett and Selah. Wrote a few letters, returned a few e-mails/texts, and sparred with some random e-person.
Having said all that, allow me to say that the best part of my day was something which slipped up on me. I've been trying to get back into a prayerful state and I found myself whispering up prayers and praise throughout my day. When I realized I was doing it, I became so very tickled. :teeth: Having been in a rut for quite some time now, it feels amazing!

I owe Mel an update but we have company here and They are telling me to get off the computer.. WHY ME... oh well I will attempt this again later.. I still owe pictures and a story to you guys.. Im such a slacker.
I. NEED. A. HUG.
Today being a beautiful day, I decided I would do yard work, as I posted this a.m. Now I know what I'm about to relate is not nearly as big a problem as some have, but for some reason Satan used this and some other trials I've been going through this past week to put me in the "Woe is Me" camp for pity parties, and I proceeded to have myself quite the bash.
I went out with the intention of simply mowing the yard. I'd procrastinated a bit, since it was so hot it wasn''t growing. As a result, when the rains came this past week-we've gotten over 3 inches, probably closer to 4- the grass hit overdrive. Thus the reclaimation from the jungle. As a side note, I am not complaining about the rain. We needed it.
I get out to the lawn mower and discover that I , or Cheyenne, have left the key in the "on" position for the past couple of weeks and the battery is dead. Get it charged and it still won't start, which is when I determine that it is out of gas. So, Chey and I get gas, get the lawnmower started and I get ready to mow, only to find the darn thing has a flat tire. Ten minutes later, tire aired up, full of gas, good battery- I'm gonna have myself a time getting my home, which I am so proud of, looking like new. Wrong. I engage the lawnmower's blades, and the blades lock up. The bearing has gone out on one of the blades. And it broke the entire assembly, so there will be no $3 bearing fix. Nope, $50 bucks that I didn't have later, and I have the part.
While going to get the part, I decide that Chey and I would run over and see Bro. Papa and give him the tithes check. I do this so I don't forget and carry God's money around for a week when it might be needed. We stop and get the lawnmower part, then stop at a local gas station and get a Mexican coca-cola, which is made with real sugar. It is hot out and I can just taste that cold soda.... I set it down to buckle Chey into Rusty, and the coke rolls out of the truck, onto the running board, and before I can grab it, smashes into a trillion pieces on the ground. Sigh.
I go home, where I managed to break all four bolts holding the part on, but the parts guy had told me that would probably happen, so I smartly bought them. :p Then I go to take the blade off of the old assembly and determine that the bolts are aparently a previously unknown size. While going through the tools to find the correct tool, I remembered I had left the socket I thought was the correct one in the trunk of my Studebaker, so I go to its lean to to look, reach to open the trunk and -" Holy Mother of All That is Holy!" Fire smites my middle finger on the right hand. There is a HUGE nest of yellow Jacket looking wasps on the outside of the trunk that I have never saw, and they apparently took issue with me making their home into a mobile home.
I have given up. I sit here with a throbbing finger, an unmowed lawn, and a broken mower. Tomorrow I shall go get a new blade and bolts and fix the mower. And I'm sure it will rain so I will be unable to mow when it's done.
And that is my whine for the day. Thanks for the vent. :biglaugh:
At least it wasnt a snake...
*HUGS* to Roscoe.
Been there...done that. Not exactly those instances...but I've had days like that.
Dear Lord, Roscoe...after all that, just burn the place down and move.
Well, I've been tending fowl, and I'm eating a salad.
I just wanted you all to know so you wouldn't fear that the fibers of the universe were unraveling or anything.
Cheese, it entered my mind....but with my luck today the place would survive and I'd be in the burn unit. :biglaugh: I won't even go into the light in chey's room that is acting up......LOl. Maybe I won't have to burn the place down. It may do it for me. :teeth:
Somebody is coming to get a few silkies in a little bit.
After I'm done with fowl tending and such this evening, I may go over to the church and clean up the shattered glass from the lamp. I don't guess anybody else went and did it yet. May do it tonight cause I've got a customer supposed to be coming in the morning, and maybe if I'm lucky some more will. lol

Fowl are tended. I'm cleaned up. Gonna go clean up shards of broken glass in a minute. Woo!
I think I'm gonna go to bed.
Maybe.
Oh, and that Ebay dipwad never did pay me.... I think they're a hoax....they have items listed for sale....but they are a new user, no feedback..... I suspect some sort of weird scam...I dunno. I'll report the case and ditch it so I don't have to pay selling fees on it and mark them off to the poopoo pile as soon as enough time has elapsed.

Gotta get up and leave the house before 6:30 in the morning to get to the church. We're having our "Great Giveaway" (basically a free yard sale), and have to get things put out. Trying to prepare myself for the total chaos that's going to reign tomorrow as people are vying for all this free stuff. It's amazing what people will take when it's free. LOL
May you feel the comfort of a thousand Godly hugs Roscoe. I think I have had almost a month now that has felt like that with other things.
Thank God this is not our home bc I'd have given up by now.
I missed it PF if your pain ever got resolved?
John, I'm praying for you. I hope you're finding rest in body & spirit.
Mel, where are u & Cheese registered? I'm assuming it's agreed your decor will be duckies? ;p
Loved the thunderstorm today. Felt like fall was here for a bit.

Thanks for asking. I'm much better than I was. My hand and arm is still weak and I can't do some things. I think it was a pinched nerve... maybe...
It's amazing the things we take for granted... like being able to use fingernail clippers or squeeze a stapler or pick up a milk jug.

five-oh: Bummer. Just buy a new lawnmower, it sounds like it'll be cheaper than fixing all that on the old one. What did it do, spontaneously decompose?

well... i popped in today! getting ready to go shopping and I need someone to call me in a little while and update me about the latest gp gossip!
Bird customers came....the one guy had bought a bunch of eggs to hatch from me earlier in the season. He had taken a goose egg and it hatched and he swapped me the goose back....and he took a bunch of roosters...yay.... And then the other people came and were waiting in line, and they took a bunch of roosters too, a few chicks that may be female, and a couple little ducks that just hatched.
Made burritos. They were tasty!

Something for us all to keep in mind:
http://news.yahoo.com/photos/arlo-and-janis-slideshow/20110813-aj110813-gif-photo-082251779.html
GRANDMA IS HOME!
In other news, Hypatia (the momma cat) just resurfaced. She disappeared the day I let them out of their cage and I haven't seen her for a solid week, though Uncle Fred has reported her at his back door step. She came back, ate some cat food, drank some water and hissed and swatted her daughter every time she got close. But then I know some human mothers who... Well, we won't go there.
Nancia (daughter cat) is still a homebody, staying on the carport and meowing for attention every time I step outside. Eh, she's a kitten. Today while I was introducing her to Grandma (who likes cats as long as they are outdoors) she started climbing my jeans for no apparent reason. I had to dissuade her from that, as I most emphatically do not want her pulling that trick on Grandma and ruining a nice skirt and shirt.
Also the dog is still afraid of the kitten. I do not understand this but at least the dog is not trying to EAT the kitten. The dog does eat the kitten's food though, but only if the kitten is somewhere else, like in my lap trying to shred my jeans.
Weird cats of a feather.....
People that came and got chickens and ducks earlier came back and got a bunch of guineas and a goose. Yay, for the selling of fowl and the making of room.
Cats don't have feathers, they eat the creatures who have feathers.
In response, it seems a birdbrain is selling birds to a fellow birdbrain.
Had to make a run to the post office earlier... and hit a garage sale on the way home. :D Got a whole box of books for $5. Yay me. :D
Been spending ridiculous amounts of time building the ToB website. :o Thank God for a husband that encourages me in my various interests. I asked him to take a look at the website (once I had it mostly up and running) and he said it was probably better than what HE could have done. (Which was a very kind lie, but still made me feel good.) ;)
A friend is supposed to help Chris go retrieve our car from the other side of the mountain this Friday. Thank God for friends who willing help out with the mess that is our life right now. I have no idea what we would have done if Dan hadn't offered to help transport it with a huge trailer.

It was quite hilarious.
Do tell! ... after I *pouncehug* you back. :D
Hi, Kimber! :hi:
:beret:
Ok soooo...my share:
I left the house and went and weighed at the hospital this morning, and got to see Ann. :) I gave her a bag of cookies that my dad got for free.
Then I went to the church, and that lady was here. She had cooked the food, and had it warming up in the ovens. I went upstairs to restock the youth snack bar for tomorrow, and then we loaded up the truck and headed over to ODB. Got there, and I had to do it all there cause she did stay behind and apparently I am now going to do the stuff over there from now on, and she wont ever go again. Its ok though, Im cool with it.
So after ODB, we came back to church and unloaded the truck, and ate lunch. Then Kimber FINALLY arrived and she gave me a huge rant about various things and we had a good ranting session. Then we headed to the funeral home and got some $$ from my dad so I could put gas in the truck...then it was off to Sonic where we got huge drinks at happy hour, (HAHA Laci) and then headed to Wal_mart.
Now we are at the church, and Kimber was asleep on the floor in my office, but she is up now, fixing her hair and about to wake up our Evangelist so she can use his iron. lol
We are waiting for the rest of our group to get here so we can go to James' EP release concert tonight in Biloxi.
That is all.

Mel - what does that have to do with a hilarious phone call with your mother? *lol*

OH! The phone conversation I just had with my Mom...LOL
So Mom calls and she asks where I am and when I am coming home...(I told her all of this already, both last night AND this morning  ) And I tell her again, and she said:
Mom: So your not coming home till late tonight?
Me: Ummm no, I told you that last night and this morning before I left.
Mom: Well I wish you would come home, we need you around here.
Me: for what?
Mom: Cause we are hungry and when youre not here, there isnt anything for supper.
Me: So you cant cook when Im not home?
Mom: It would just be better if you did.
What the deal was, Ive been busy ALLLLLL WEEK!! I cooked Monday. And then Tuesday, I was gone all day, Wednesday I had to leave in the afternoon and I didnt cook....got home late. Thursday, I left early, home late, didnt cook. Friday I was gone all day and didnt cook.
Since I havent been home...THEY ARE STARVING TO DEATH!
I told Kimber that and she was liturally R O F L.
Hehe.
Hope you found that as amusing as we did. It was down right hilarious. lol

Since I enjoy cooking and do it all the time for the family, they seem to have forgotten how to do it on their own.

Lady Sandra,
Thanks for the hug, and I'm sorryb yo hven't been feeling well.
A remarkable thing happened around 2 to 2 1/2 months ago..my appetite went basically dormant..I enjuoy eating sometimes, when I do eat, but my body's clock of 'it's time to eat' is off.

For the record, bouncing between different operating systems on different computers can be confusing. I have Windows XP on two laptops, Linux Mint on a flash drive that is being booted on said laptops, Windows 7 as my music OS on my music computer, a different version of Linux on the same music computer as a backup OS... and I've been using all of them today.
Things that are automatic, like refresh buttons and scroll bars, are in different places on all of them. Just slightly different, but enough to throw off automatic use.
w2cch.....a....s..... Gotta finish evening fowl tending.
Things I have learned today:
1. If you find a half gallon of out of date milk in the fridge and pour it out in a bowl, a kitten will drink at least a pint of it.
2. Windows 7 64-bit really hates external sound cards. All of them.
3. Having a backup OS on a flash drive is an ever-present help in time of trouble.
4. I can now play "Jesus got a'hold of my life" with credible accuracy at tempo. It just now occurred to me to try to play it and whataya know, it worked!
5. If a kitten drinks a pint of ruined milk it can give the kitten some gastric problems, which result in quite a mess.
Feeding cats milk is a crock..... Don't know why that's such a stereotype...but it often leads to that issue.....
Feed a dog rotten cheese and see what happens....... You might need to move after this..........
milk also causes cataracts in cats or so I've heard
Adina that comment is adorable!!!
No, not with good milk it doesn't. Just with ruined milk. Dogs on the other hand handle it with no trouble.
It's storming.
Send it this way, please.
Yeah for real. I hear it's so dry in Texas that the trees are whistling for dogs.
All the leaves are falling off the trees.
I know a few people out that way who are now praying for some sort of tropical system just for the rain. I pray ya'll get some rain and it doesn't take a hurricane to get it.

The maple tree in our front yard is losing its leaves prematurely....they're falling off green....it has issues. :smirk2:
As for the storming here, it wasn't anything bad here, but up north there was wind and such.... Some people were killed at the Indiana State Fair when a stage, all the roof and rigging stuff above it, fell down.
Wow and wow again.
An AMAZING day. Kimber is so stinkin fun! You have not lived till you spend a day with her. Hilarious! I laughed so hard today! Loved every minute!

And what's wrong with an extensive vocabulary? The more words you know, the more effectively you can communicate your thoughts.
What was the lecture about, you shouldn't use such "big" words?
Yeah. You know, the worst part about this entire situation is that I actually have documentation in my personnel file reference being counselled about the use of words with which other employees are unfamiliar... Does that even seem like a reasonable reprimand? Mayhap I'm too close to the situation, but it took considerable effort to prevent my eyeballs from rolling out of my head...

LOL. The reason I used copacetic- I had a sergeant who got called into the office by the chief for using "bad language" on the radio. Sarge had told the Dispatcher " Everything's copacetic" when asked if everything was good on a call. The Chief thought Copacetic was a crude way of saying "copulate". :laughhard:
:hi:
If you use archaic or extremely lengthy words prevalently as a means of showing off I can understand where it might pose a problem. If your coworkers are just not catching words they don't know every once in a while because they never read books or participate in conversations more in-depth than their latest boy/girlfriends, one should not have to reduce one's operating vocabulary.
What if I worked with a teen? Should I be reduced to saying "OMG she is so hawt!"?
Hang in there, the explanation is at the bottom.
In promulgating your esoteric cogitations or articulating your superficial sentimentalities and amicable philosophical or psychological observations, beware of platitudinous ponderousness.
Let your conversational communications possess a clarified conciseness, a compact comprehensibility, coalescent consistency and a concatenated cogency. Eschew all conglomerations of arrant garrulity, jejune babbling and asinine affectations. Let your extemporaneous descanting and unpremeditated expatiations have intelligibility and veracious vivacity without rodomontade or thrasonical bombast.
Sedulously avoid all polysyllable profundity, pompous prolixity, psittaceous vivacity, ventriloquial verbosity and magniloquent rapidity. Shun double entendres and pestiferous profanity, observant or apparent.
In other words, talk plainly, briefly, naturally, sensibly, truthfully, purely, keep from slang, don't put on airs, say what you mean, mean what you say and DON'T USE BIG WORDS.
I might strangle someone. :/ haha.. I want a nap very badly. I have a headache too..having one everyday all week. I'm at work, and I've been here for almost three hours and I don't clock in until 3pm! I had to get up early this morning for bus duty, then I had Sunday school to teach. Now working until 8:30. I AM thankful it's a five hour shift instead of working 12 or 1 to 8:30! I'm pretty sure I just need a vacation from work longer than my normal sporadic two days off. Everything is getting to me.. *sigh* I just feel overwhelmed with everything going on! :(

:hi: Lou called me while I was on the way home to tell me that my weenie dog, Abby, who I've had since I was 21 had died. She was the last living link to my bachleor past- I bought her at a motorcycle shop from a genuine "biker mama" around 1998 when I was scooting around the country on two wheels. She was toothless, nearly blind, and I should've had compassion and had her put down years ago, but couldn't bear to do so.. Gonna miss the little thing......I had to bury her before church, so I was a bit late. :cry2:
Evangelist didn't make it in.... he had truck trouble in Tulsa and wound up preaching there. All's good, though- Bro Papa did a great job preaching on "Overcoming the Spirit of Complacancy.' Quote from: MellowYellow on August 15, 2011, 04:32:12 AMSeth are your birds organic? Wondered how easy or hard that is?
What level of organicness are you referring to?
I use parasite control medications or chemicals, or occasionally if something is sick an antibiotic. I just feed regular feeds.
It wouldn't be "hard" to raise them "organic." Would be more expensive if you used only organic feeds and such.
Kloey, I'm cringing while I wait with Mary to hear WHAT words were unknown to your coworkers. :-\ And what an absolutely ridiculous thing to be written up for! That's just gross lol....I'd keep a baby duck....but once it was big...boot....out the door it'd go!
But if you think about it, chickens are no more yuckier than ferrets....ferrets are nasty!

ISG, I didnt see...are you a milkmaid now?
Playing my first game of Words With Friends...... It is a facebook app now, playing against a friend on his IPhone.
Yes, Birdhead is a milk maid.
I've been mowing. Mowed the riding part. Now I need to go trim up the remainder with the push in a minute.

And I'm a touch envious of Birdhead..... I'd love to have fresh milk! Can't buy it around here anymore.

Yep, I'm a milk maid. I've actually never had fresh milk, unless you count my cousin squirting me in the face straight from the udder. *eww* It's a family owned kinda thing. I can't believe how dirty I get though or how physical it actually is. I guess if anyone wants fresh milk, just come see me here in the wonderful state of Iowa. :D. I actually don't like milk much to begin with, and after seeing mastitis I doubt I could drink it if I tried....
I need to get a good pair of shoes though! I was reading online and I think that's a lot of my "hoof" issues :-P

Eating a grilled cheese and some mater' soup...my dog is howling at me, because I'm not sharing lol...
I took a 2 1/2 hour nap when I got home from work. I'm about to take a shower, and go back to sleep after I eat.
I def. don't think I could do that ISG! Milk weirds me out too.....I'm picky about milk. I won't drink milk if it expires in like 2-4 days. The lactose free stuff my mother buys weirds me out....whole milk makes me want to puke.
Mom doesn't buy regular milk anymore, so if I want milk, I have to buy it...and I buy 2%....usually Horizons Organic...
But I love, LOVE cottage cheese and sour cream.....explain thatn'....lol
Chocolate Soy Milk! Oh and I love milk products..just not the actual milk..
Now to figure out how to get the "cowwy" smell out of my clothes...and hair..even AFTER they have been washed...my poor poor hair!
I love love LOVE me some milk!
I drink it with just about every meal. I wa allergic to it when I was a baby, but I'm ok with it now.
And I'm thankful that I do drink a whole lot of it, as much as I wait for the bus, Im sure i would have broken every bone in my body by now if I didn't have strong bones because of all the milk I have drunken over the years.
My tummy hurts right now. That is all.
Tended fowl and all that crud.

I'm not sure I've had amazing home grown ones. I always just buy them at the store. I think even farmers market tomatoes are comparable.
My tomato plant had yet to bare fruit.
If you would quit smoking it, it might have a chance to prosper.

Ollie Chandler indeed. ;)
At first that looked like "Ollie Chandler died."
And so I thought, who's Ollie Chandler!?
Newsman: A CAN of soup?! Who eats soup out of a can? That's not real soup, it's a bunch of chemicals and, in the case of most canned tomato soup, sugar. Which I never have understood, putting so much sugar in (alleged) tomato soup.

He is one of my favorite characters in a series of books, and that comment John made was totally something Ollie would say/do.

For ISG:
Everything I need to know I learnt from a cow
1. Wake up in a happy mooo-d.
2. Don't cry over spilled milk.
3. When chewing your cud, remember: There's no fat, no calories, no cholesterol, and no taste!
4. The grass is green on the other side of the fence.
5. Turn the udder cheek and mooo-ve on.
6. Seize every opportunity and milk it for all its worth!
7. It's better to be seen and not herd.
8. Honor thy fodder and thy mother and all your udder relatives.
9. Never take any bull from anybody.
10. Always let them know who's the bossy.
11. Stepping on cowpies brings good luck.
12. Black and white is always an appropriate fashion statement.
13. Don't forget to cow-nt your blessings every day.
:laughhard:
I love it. Especially number 9.
I needed that this morning! As you can see I am home early...I am udderly sick! So I got sent home, I think the lead milker got tired of my heaving in the cow pies...*say a little prayer that my tummy quits it's silliness, please*

Making my version of shepherds pie. Instead of mashed potatoes I am using steak fries. Then with a mixture of ground beef, cream corn, and several cheeses on top of that with a little ketchup mixed in for good measure. Looks and smells good, I hope it taste that way.
Maybe Bird Head can make you a milkmaid pie for dessert.
Candled eggs.

I got called back to work...to do some cleaning and paperwork and errands. So I guess God wanted to make sure I got in enough hours today! Back to the parlor tomorrow. So I have to be in bed by 8pm, so I'm refusing to nap today and going to drink some more water.

Was going to go to Clinton, about 30 miles away, and hear a friend of mine preach, but didn't have time. By the time I got home with the parts for the mower, there was no time to get ready and go. Oh well, he's preaching for us tomorrow, so I'll hear him then.
Oh, and tomorrow is chey's first day of school. I am SO dreading it. And do to a scheduling snafu, I must work Saturday. I parlayed the good will from my agreement to do so into an extra day off, so I'll be off tomorrow, thursday and friday this week. Not a bad trade off, since I had nothing major planned for this week anyhow.
Hope everyone feels better.

We have red and blue and green and orange tractors around here. Not sure I've seen a yellow one unless you count those big CATS the do the dirt work and stuff.
You don't really see all that many Minneapolis Molines in active use....at least I don't around here.... One of the old guys that my dad used to farm on when I was a kid had a couple old MM's sitting around the place. They were all out of working order all my life that I remember, but I always remember them sitting there.

Ive seen lots. But not for farming only Antique tractor pulls.
Clint actually sells red and orange tractors....McCormick and Kioti.
We see a lot of foreign made tractors around here. Most of the American made stuff you see is an antique. If you do see newer American made tractors it is usually a John Deere.
Most of the antique ones you see are old Ford or John Deere stuff.

Melodya I want to meet you too! Sis took a photo of me and Steve. We just grabbed a quick coffee since it was short notice.
Why must I feel like hoody hoo?
I'm on one of those benders where I feel worse at night. Been that way the last few days. Including tonight.
Wow. Awesome church. Awesome. I am going to bed. That is all. :waving:
Hey, Roscoe! You changed your name! Nice!
Didn't he do that once before and then freak out and change it back? :eyebrow:
I put on a sweatshirt while ago, because I was freezing and about to build a fire. But now I have the fan back on. Sweatshirt still on too tho.
Now the sweatshirt is off.
Went to work, came home.
Tomorrow I'll be making sourdough bread for the church youth bake sale/yard sale/car wash Saturday. As I don't have a free day between last Sunday (when I was informed of it) and this Saturday (when it will be) I'll have to do it tomorrow and depend on Grandma to bake it while I'm at work.
Anybody want a loaf, just stop by. It's $3.00 a loaf. Or maybe $4.00, depending on what they decide Saturday - they charge different prices different times for some reason.
Staying true to the original original ORIGINAL topic of the sharing thread, and in honor of Alana herself...I would just like to share:
OUR TOILET FLUSHES!
:flush:
We have been having problems with it for weeks now...and finally, Dad got under the house, unclogged the pipe and replaced part of it, and I am happy to report it flushes like it is supposed to now! Amazing!
It's funny how you get used to something not working properly for a long time, and suddenly, when it does, it's a wonder to see!
Mom came to church tonight and told me that it works now, and I Praised the Lord pretty loudly in the foyer! Everyone wondered why I was so happy! It was over a little simple thing like a toilet flushing. Hehe. :flush:
That is all.

Yes. I changed my name.

:pound: :pound: And fine, thank you.....Fixing to take Angelfluff the princess to school and have a day to myself. If the rain doesn't catch me, I'm going to try to finally get the church yard mowed. I had talked to a couple of brethren about mowing while my mower was dead, but alas, no one mowed it, and it looks shameful. We'll try to change that in about an hour. :thumbsup2:
Ive got to mow our church yard tomorrow.
Today was the first day of our kids school year. This year we can drop them off for breakfast early. That gives us plenty of time to get to work after that.
Morning. Roscoe, send the rain this way.

Yes please....it's been cloudy for days now, and still nothing! Arg!
@Melb - that's a big deal lol....when your toilet doesn't flush right it's a BIG deal. lol I'd be shouting too.....
I *believe* the figures I heard were somewhere around 4 inches of rain in my area last week.... Got a 40% chance of rain today, they're saying, and it was cloudy when I went to take Chey to school. I went ahead and mowed the church yard. I would've liked to wait until the grass dried because it would cut better, but was afraid it'd rain and I wouldn't get to cut the stuff. It was high enough to be embarrassing, so I went ahead and cut it, wet and all. Looks better than it did, anyway. And now it looks sunny out. Wish I had my Harley back, I'd take a little cruise.

Cows aren't so cool today! I've seen what they are like when they are mean.
I did make a cow friend though...I call her Sweetheart. When you go up to her she tries to eat your clothes and wants you to love her and hold her head...she also moves her legs so it's easier to get the milker on...why can't all cows be like my Sweetheart!
Ever walked around all day on a very sore foot, only to find out some how you stepped on a thumb tac and didn't notice when you hurriedly put your socks and shoes on this morning?
Yeah, not fun and pulling it out after walking on it all day was even less fun. lol
I got denied being able to do childcare thru DHS...they said " Ms Bennett has not showed significant rehabilitation or make significant effort to take care of the crimes/fines."

bought paint to paint the stripped radiator and because I only buy non-toxic stuff its always a little weird but this paint was the consistency of putty and is gloppy and impossible. very annoyed. nonsense. I just wanted to warn people. stripping is not for the faint of heart and can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. definitely worth it to hire a professional, or at least semi-professional, stripper with experience. my parents and co-workers were skeptical when I told them I was going to try stripping but they supported me and now I can share what I learned so that others don't make my mistake.
by the way, giving a giant sheet of metal an acid wash in the shower is genius and stupid at the same time

WM3 in town.. Crazy day for downtown by the courthouse!
Work until 12. Didn't fall asleep until after 1am and I was starting to think I'd never fall asleep, haha. So glad to get off early today and off this weekend. Yay for Sunday nap!
Good Morning! :hi: And Ms. Mary, it was "five-oh" because that's my job- the five-oh, the po-po, the pigs- I be the Po-lice. Not fifty years old!!! Please don't add that burden to me, I've got 15 years to go before that happens, God willing. :teeth:
And all other craziness- SMH.
ISG, chin up, it'll get bettter. You have my respect for where you've come from, but it's nowhere near where God is taking you..... And I may need to get advice from you on the paying off $10k. If I could discipline myself that much, I'd be a whole lot better off financially.
And Nelle- I feel your pain. When the supreme court heard their appeal, we had tons of people show up next door to the justice building at the Capitol. some of them were normal people, but it attracted the freaks, that's for sure.
Gotta go get the princess off to school. :waving:
Dreamed crazy.
Part of it was about being in some type of school situation, and being involved in all these different groups, and this one lady that's somebody that used to go to our church and that doesn't like me kept asking me about them and such..... To make the long story short.
And then there was this part where my uncle next door came over here and tried to be buddy buddy with my dad and give him a hug and my dad drew back and walked away and wouldn't talk to him, and that made the uncle mad and he popped off something about the fat guy something something, I forget what all words (meaning ME...lol) and mocked the name of my bird ranch.
So I shot him.
Nooo, just kidding....I didn't.... But he hobbled off in a huff and I was left thinking GREAT....I hope to goodness they already signed that stupid quit claim or else they'll never do it now.
Hah! I had a dream too, but not a bad one this time, thankfully!
I was somewhere like a mall or whatever, and I saw my friend Andrew. He came and hugged me, and I cried and cried and hugged him for a long time cause it had been years since I've seen him. His family was there and we reminisced about old times, and generally just cried and hugged cause we were so happy to see one another.
I woke up missing him. :( I really haven't seen him in years. He's been in oversees, and I think the last time I saw him it was 2006. :(
Wish I could hug him for real.
Anyway! I'm up. Gotta finish cleaning the kitchen. (mopping) and then clean the bathroom. Then pack. Lord. I'm behind.
I get to leave at about 4ish today!
Five whole days in Pensacola! Whoot! Can't wait to hear bro Stoneking tonight!

Most of the antique ones you see are old Ford or John Deere stuff.
JD tractors aren't made in the US anymore.....they are assembled in the US.

He is 50!!! He just can't say it publicly because while they keep him on the force as an out of shape 35 year old because they feel sorry for him, if they knew he was really 50 and in that bad a shape he would be forced into early retirement. While retirement sounds good to him and all, he would then have no excuse for his doughnut obsession.

A potential tight spot. I have done stories this week, including one in a major newsaper with his booking photo, of a young man who lives in the same small town south of McAlester that I do. He is charged in a felony case that had yet to get any attention from anyone until I wrote it. Rap was invented so people who cannot carry a tune could be stars too. :hypocrite:

Five-oh of how many forums are you a member? There are some good ones out there but in all things moderation. One active forum is about all I have time for, and I'm not even married. I have no idea how you keep up with that many.
Isaac, I'm a member of this one, a hotrod forum (HAMB) and just joined apostolic preachersforum. I'm not near as active on the others as I am here. The HAMB forum is probably second to this one- I think I've posted 550 times there in the past four years. Most of my time on forums are as lurkers.

Tired. But I will take a nap in a few hours. I slept too hard I think haha..
Ready for march to be here! Maybe I'll find a dress soon! :) I should just get an apron of a wedding dress and wear it...hahaha
Many reasons.
The lady that got mad at me because the high school burned down 50 years ago and had a fight with MellowYellow on my FB and defriended me, posted the following on somebody's post where they shared the Charlie Brown Shout Down that some of you may have seen me or others post on FB lately.....
"Hope this was approved by the "CHARLIE BROWN" folks, if not, someone could be in big trouble!"
Lord....she needs to lighten up. lol
Wow...I missed that...LOL
Tired. Hot. Happy. :D
Had Sushi and stuff with Rissa, Jolene, Rissas Daughter Abigail, and of course Baby Juliette. Amazing lunch.
Getting ready now to head to church. I'm full and need a nap, but ready for some Jesus!
Sold some birds. My belly keeps reminding me it has issues.
Roomie seems to think she is soooooo tired...lol...she got almost 8 hrs of sleep. I got 4. I'm actually not too tired....
Anybody want to trade guts with me? My belly is cramping again/still.
I'm glad I don't have a uterus.
/me hugs cheese... hope your day got better.

Hides this hug from Seth's wife (Melb) and girlfriend (Mary) so they don't get jealous.
Hooray for overtime! We worked today - actually it was supposed to be a volunteer overtime day but we have so few on 2nd shift that we all got "volunteered" by the boss. No complaints here, I was wondering how I would squeak by on the paycheck I was expecting next week. :)

I'm afraid menopause is only visible in her rearview mirror several miles back down the road.
Went to church. The missionaries were enjoyable. I didn't call him Fred Phelps (I just stuck with Phelps to avoid confusion...lol....)...didn't even write Fred on the offering check...I think I did good. :P
Came home and tended fowl.
Discovered that in my absence, everyone on FB apparently has a medical doctorate and have all diagnosed me with various diseases. My, so encouraging and pleasant. :smirk2:
Oh.....also, Uganda's flag has a big bird in the middle of it.
Maybe I need to move there. lol
:hi: It's hard to catch up when you miss a couple days in here.
Well, now I'm worried about what dread disease I have now that everybody is suggesting them....rather than just thinking I have some run of the mill type of bug.
Bah.
Greatttttt.

I think you have just been eating to many salads. That much roughage can cause havoc on your colon.
Especially following so many black bean platters. When you eat a lot of one thing for a long time, then suddenly switch and eat a lot of something else, it messes up the works. That's why people who visit other countries, or even other regions in their own country, suffer various digestive problems.
Morning, All. Never know what to expect... I come peeking in here this morning to here discussion on Cheese's digestive habits :o . Not really conductive to donut eating..... See ya later. :waving:
Those with weak stomachs should never, ever check this forum before eating. Come back after lunch man.
Got to make a run to the store here in a bit, then on to church. Making some black eyed peas for a late lunch/supper after church. I have to finish up my assignment for Introduction to Web Design after church. Then tonight I have to finish cleaning up the mess I made the other day when I was trying to clean. I hope that goes smoother tonight. lol
How ya'll doing?
I'm still worried I'm dying now that everyone has diagnosed me with many illnesses. :smirk2:
I'm still not quite normal.
Roscoe, speaking of doughnuts....I was thinking, that with your new rapper persona, you need to wear a big gold chain with a doughnut on it around your neck. lol
w2cch
Need to go to Menard's and get some lumber and crud for my breeding pen expansion....I truly truly hate to....but it's not gonna get up and walk down here itself, unfortunately. Some stuff is on sale, so I want to get it now....so, I've gotta go do it. Bah.

Roscoe, speaking of doughnuts....I was thinking, that with your new rapper persona, you need to wear a big gold chain with a doughnut on it around your neck. lol
The rapper persona was a one time, limited engagement and shall not be repeated. :teeth: And I'm all for wearing doughnuts- it'd be convienant to have them close at hand whenever I were hungry. :laughhard:
I'm at church. Watching Jolene and choir practice.
I am so tired. But it's worth it.
We're making a birthday cake for a friend. :D
Today was not so bad. My first day off after 7 days of milking. Church this AM, a quick swim in the pond...then realized that although the water was warm the air was not. Stopped to see my pet cow. Then home for burritos and makings of amazing drop biscuits and chicken stew to take to work. I guess a few people heard I cook like my mom and want to see if it's true :-D.
I miss being on here off and on all day :( But I did pray my life would be so busy so I wouldn't get so lonely.
Who's the biscuits and stew for, Sweety? :P
Went and dropped eggs at Pleasant Andy's, and went to Menard's.....Lord....now I have a bunch of lumber that needs put together into a shed....
Somebody call the Amish, please......
Everyone remember the pro-wrestler girl duck renter person.... On Freecycle she is wanting a setup for a lizard now....she's moved from ducks to lizards I guess. :P
No they aren't for the cows...although I might sneak her one :-p. She's such a good cow! As far as people go I like her better than most. Such a good cow!
I don't doubt it.
Who wants to unload my lumber and stack in it the garage? Any takers? You know you wanna.....
I sure don't wanna....done wooled it around enough for one day...bah.... Guess I will here in a bit...gotta go tend fowl for the evening then unload that junk.
Still waiting on our company to arrive.
:sadbounce:
What's wrong taco?
IowaSkirtGirl that's one thing a christian never has too much of, free time. When I had an argument with God over how much time I was spending playing video games my main argument was "What will I do with all that free time?" God said "What free time?"
In the words of a christian comedian, "If I had to pick one word to describe being a christian, it would be... interesting. Living for God is very interesting. If you want a boring life, don't come to Christ."
Company is here and eating brisket, cheese potatoes etc. :fork:
Wait a minute...
*scrolls up and reads that again
You PRAYED to be busy? :o That's like standing at the top of Dead Man's Ridge and saying "I just hope I'll ski down fast enough." Christians are busy by default, there's a lot of work to do.
I have a feeling I just figured something out. :o
Gotta send a text to find out, but I expect it will be ignored.
As I have not yet received a text, I assume this does not involve me.
BTW, I didn't mean that last sentence how it sounded. Lol I re-read it and it sounded like attitude and it's not. :D
I'M SO EXCITED!! A friend(Blake) from back in the day is coming back to church again!!!!!!! This was his FOURTH service! :) it's so great seeing prayers answered like that! :) and HE is best friends with MY childhood best friend Josh, so he's trying to get HIM back into coming too. We're both gonna continue working and praying on that one! I'm so excited! Blake said he hadn't felt something like tonight in at least seven years, which is when he left our church. He even cried. :)
PRAISE JESUS!!!!
You make me cry too, Spud. :smirk2:
:P
But that's good that he's coming back.
So I unloaded my shed....it's stacked in the garage, awaiting the Amish to come and assemble it. :smirk2:
Good Morning, all. One day closer to the blessed weekend..... :waving:
Same here. Semi-busy week, and a glorious weekend ahead... :ugly:
Morning peoples! My weekend still isn't over yet! Ive got till Wednesday before I have to get back to my regular stuff.
Two more nights of Stoneking left! Last night was incredible! And tonight and tomorrow, he's doing a gifts of the spirit siminar.
I'm waiting for Jolene to wake up and leave the baby with me. She has a couple of things she has to do this morning for a few hours, and I get to have Juliette all to myself!
Mel-Mel is happy.
That is all.
Haha. Well nevermind that. I hit post, and Jo walked in my room and said that Rodney isn't going to work today, so he is still asleep with the baby in their room. She is still going to go do her stuff and she will be back, and for me to go back to sleep. Lol
I can handle that too. Hehe.

Anywho. I'm at work. Tired!! I couldn't fall asleep until after 1:30.. :(
It was incredibly foggy this morning! Blake texted me this morning. So glad he's reconnecting to people tOo! That increases his chance at staying committed!
So ready for labor day weekend. Hoping Jeremy still comes. I have to work half the weekend so he is trying to decide. Gonna be one unhappy girl if I can't see him. :(
Morning. I'm at work.
I didn't go back to sleep. I've been holding Jules.
Weirdos.

I'm one day closer to the Kingdom, that makes every day better than the day before, I can make it through today, knowing that tomorrow, I'll be one day closer to the shore.....
He decided to still make the journey south. :) yay!
So.. I have pretty much everything I need for the reception that I can get early, haha. I HAD a cake picked out, but Jeremy threw a kink in the situation. Hopefully we'll get that resolved soon so I can show my cake guy. Yes, a cake GUY! He's not a professional, but the cake he made for his daughter's birthday LOOKS professional. Might get him to make a beefy cheeseball too. It was DELICIOUS!!! :)
My wedding coordinator (lady friend at church) and I have been discussing decoration for the sanctuary..and I'm gonna basically get my columns done free. Yay! :) We're going to go super inexpensive on our flower usage with alternatives. Yay! Now... I've gotta book my photographer (hopefully my very talented cousin) and my honeymoon! Oh, and find my dress & the girls' dresses. Much less stressed about things tho...thanks to the help of an amazing coordinator and a sweet fiancé. And my mommy who keeps calming me down when I get upset in the stores hahahaha...
:sadbounce:
Poor Taco. What's the matter?
His heart is in Tx.

All (or part of, as the case may be) my exes live in Texas.....
I live in Texas and I don't have any exes in Texas or otherwise anywhere.

The three most important words in the english language: Bluebell Dutch Chocolate. :D
(The preceding statement of course has nothing to do with the fact that the person who made the preceding statement stopped by the store a few minutes ago. It is entirely coincidental.)
