I would have said supper, but to some it's dinner, maybe you work nights and to you it's breakfast.
Tonight we are having:
Brown Sugar Fried Pork Steak
Mashed Baby Reds w/ homemade gravy
Peas or Corn
Normally I would make biscuits to go with this..but not really in the mood :)
Oh and no we don't always eat that much fat and fried food at our house, just something I've really been craving.
What are you eating tonight? What's your FAVORITE food?
within our family it's supper. To others we say dinner. ☺ not sure why.
I haven't totally decided what to make tonight. I've had beef tips in the crock pot half the day. I could do dumplins, noodles, stew, gravy over mashed potatoes... wish I could think of something else to do with them though.
My favorite meal? Hmmmm... that's a tough one. Fried Chicken or shrimp or hot rolls or... I don't think I can choose!
My favorite food is... almost anything as long as it is made with good quality ingredients and made with care. I'm an omnivore. My mother's favorite line at supper time was "I am not running a restaurant" - we ate what she cooked or went to bed hungry - so I was raised to eat a lot of stuff and like it. Fried squash, steamed carrots, deviled eggs, beef liver gravy and onions, corn on the cob, fresh peaches, tomato sandwich...
What I do NOT like is anything fast food. It is mass produced with the cheapest available ingredients and it tastes exactly like what it is.
As for what I'm eating tonight, this week I'm working 3rd shift so that's my lunch. Probably the leftover fried potatoes in the fridge, maybe some scrambled eggs on whole wheat sourdough instead.

Something different. Make BBQ shredded beef? or maybe add a packet of taco seasoning and make hot pulled beef tacos? I also found this online when I was looking for unique ideas for you http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/beef-tips/detail.aspx Hope that helps :)
As posted in the sharing thread.... Pot roast with potatoes and carrots- No, Mellow Yellow, not THAT kinda pot- :laughhard: and coleslaw, a sweet weet mayonnaise based slaw, fried squash, sweet tea, and bread, since I forgot to thaw my dinner rolls out and don't have time to make 'em.
Favorite food- anything, as long as there's meat involved.... and as long as it's not Asian styled cooking. Or Mexican, because it doesn't like me. :laughhard:
I don't know what we're having for supper...

Hey, thanks sis! :thumbsup2:
Just finishing a three-meat pizza I shared with a couple of co-workers. Have a council meeting to go to in a few, unless I can self-justify skipping it! :)
Lady Iowa,
Would you believe my wife has NEVER fixed dinner for me? :sadbounce:
John :waving:
Yeah mine never has for me either. My Grandma does sometimes though.

Hmmm. Are you married? If not...do you want to be :-P
I can cook just about anything or I can make something better :)
Hehehe.
I made spaghetti for supper. My favorite food is Italian, then Mexican.
Also on "the menu" for the rest of the week: tacos, enchiladas and refried beans; fried pork chops seasoned with cajun seasoning (I don't eat them) and served with baked potatoes, mixed vegetables and macaroni and tomatoes; lemon oregano chicken served with rice, black eyed peas and broccoli. I made arroz con pollo Monday night.
I'm already thinking about what I'll be cooking next week. I know that a baked whole chicken will be cooked one night next week. I've written that on the grocery list. Not sure what else yet.

You have dinner around mid day, supper is what you eat around 5pm or later.
Just so you city slickers know. :P
