Been Concerned about our friends in the south who are getting the bad storms and tornado's, flooding praying that everyone is safe and sound. Please check in and let us know.
A tornado hit not far from where I am late Tuesday evening. I don't know yet how much damage was done. I am at work now.
Three members of a family that went to a church south of us were killed on 4/15, when a tornado hit their home. The husband is still recovering and one daughter is still in the hospital. It was a family of 6, only 5 of them were home at the time. The mother and 2 sons were killed. The father and their 2 daughters survived. The father and one daughter still have a long hard rode ahead of them with their injuries. Please remember the Box family in your prayers.
We had a lot of tornado warnings tonight at work, had to stop work and sit around in (relatively) safe areas, but so far no damage reported. The weather service kept changing its mind, we'd work for a few minutes then get called back in to sit around for a while, then it would be canceled and we'd go to work again, then they'd holler that we were under a tornado warning again...
It was pretty intense last night. They say 100 homes near here were greatly damaged or destroyed. We're ok. God is good.
Once again, everything but the rain passed us by. I agree with Fuzzy Wuzzy, God is good. :thumbsup2:
At least 7 deaths within 40 miles of us today. Several areas still have damage that is keeping authorities from getting damage reports for rural areas. I find that funny because around here if your standing in fromt of city hall you are in a rural area. The videos from Tuscaloosa are scary. They got hit hard today. Alabama doesn't need another month like April for a long time. The death tolls seem to rise with every weather system that passes through this month.
My son is working in LA this week and it hailed (he said some were the size of baseballs) last night. Dented his truck pretty bad and broke out the skylight in the camper he's staying in.
That's not good :(
Everyone please stay safe praying for you all.
Saw on our news they showed an Aposolic church either in Popular Bluff or in Huntsville Al that was Flooded
58 confirmed dead in AL. The number is sure to rise because they are just beginning to start to search through the rubble in some of the larger cities.
A friend that lives in Nashville now but is from AL just posted this:
Heavy hearted tonight over the loss of a friend's 13 year old daughter in the tornado in AL. Parents are also injured. Please pray for this family!
Just saw autoparts girl post on FB, It must have got pretty bad there but she just emerged from her basement and is ok
Not sure if anyone else already mentioned it, or perhaps I just missed it.
Seen this on FB from a minister friend:
Please be in prayer for one of Alabama's ministers, Rev. David Hall who is in critical condition. He lost his wife yesterday during the tornado. Also a 12 year old girl from Bro. Rogers church in Moulton was killed. Please be in prayer for these families and all those effected by this devastating storm.
That is horrible.
I know Bro.Rogers not sure about the other minister. Praying for all affected! The death count for Alabama is now at 194 and still climbing.
How about churhes?
Haven't heard much about any of the churches. A local restaurant is collecting food and stuff to take to north Alabama Monday. Just finished getting some food together, also found an old Bible no one here was using and was still in good shape gonna send that as well. Figured someone might need or want it after all this.
I am sure that it will... Praying for all those effected
Heard today that the church in Tuscaloosa is okay. They said the Tornado was already on the ground and lifted as it went over the church and then touched down again causing the worst of the destruction there.
WoW
wow.. i been wonderin about everybody
