We had a magnolia tree that was very easy to climb. Sometimes I'd climb it and sit there all hidden and watch passers-by.
Posting!
Isaac was a wee little man, and a wee little man was he, he climbed up in a magnolia tree, for a stalker he wanted to be.... :P
:o
You can learn a lot from observing people. Like how to avoid a lot of mistakes other people make. ;)
And how they all pick their noses and their wedgies whenever they think nobody is looking.

I love Justin. He is the best little brother EVER.
Just sayin'.
Goodnight.
i should be mean and call her about now :hypocrite:
I'm still awake. :P
Justin got me wound up and I'm sleepy but can't seem to get my mind to settle down now. Lol
Wow, I am thankful God kept us from the devastation seen in other parts of our county and state today. Dozens of tornadoes wiped out homes and killed people. The county just to our south a family of 6 had their home destroyed and the mother and 2 children were killed. The death toll is still rising. Praying for those who lost loved ones and for those left to rebuild. Sad night in Alabama.
Glad you are ok, Jason. Everytime the alert came on the radio, I thought of you.
I'm awake. It's too early to be awake on a Saturday for crying out loud! Gonna sell donuts for the youth group today.
 gonna go wash cars with the youth group today.
Youth group, youth group... I feel out of place. I'm going to play breakfast cook and sound man for a mother/daughter brunch and service this morning. As one of the only two guys there (the assistant pastor is head cook, so at least he'll be there) I'll REALLY be out of place.
Actually the youth group was going to be selling barbecue, but the weather made it impractical to sit out all night with a cooker...
Mel, send me some donuts? :D Pretty please, with a cherry and whipped cream on top?

As a donut connoisseur and distinguished professor of donuts as awarded by the F.B.I. (Feed the Bachelors International), I can tell you emphatically that cherries and whipped cream should NEVER be put on the top of donuts. :nono: It is, however, permissible to have cherry filled donuts and cream filled donuts at the same setting. :thumbsup2:
No, not cherries and whipped cream on the donuts. Cherry and whipped cream on the please.
What kind of cream are we talking about in those donuts though? The local supermarket used to have a deli with really good stuff in their white cream filled donuts, but their bavarian creme was too much like instant vanilla pudding. >.>

Myself, I prefer a cream cheese filling, not the white creamy nasty filling. But that's just my opinion.
And Cheese, stop smirking! You know birds, I know donuts. :laughhard:
Oh, and in sharing- I have found a new favorite music artist. I fumbled around and found larry carter, a pentecostal that used to play for the Mcgruders, and found him playing a blues style gospel. Better player than singer, but man! I was blown away! Blues was formerly one of my favorite genres, and lord was it sweet to hear that style being played. I could listen to this all day!
http://youtu.be/5CaoK6-j5yY
Howdy :hi:
I've heard Larry Carter before...he's a good real guitar player *cough*.....
I'd rather hear a good piano or organ player though. lol
I think some cell towers must have been destroyed by the storms. My phone works one minute then suddenly has no service. I hope they fix it soon.
Tired today, I'm probably going to do a Math test later.
I have three all-time favorite songs by Larry Carter:
When I found Jesus I Lost The Blues - he says himself that it is repetetive, and redundant, and says the same thing over and over... :P But it's a good song.
Sunday School Girl - THE reason I drive the church bus every service. Sums it all up nicely.
My Worst Days Now Are Better Than My Best Days Then
Some dummy that I believe to be associated with the college kids that got the rabbit and duck yesterday called and asked in a fake accent if I had all kinds of stupid animals from mountain lions to you name it.... Maybe they're drunk...it's Little 500 today, which is a bike race at Indiana University that plays off the name of the Indy 500, and it's a prime day to STAY AWAY from town and certainly campus....everybody are blooming idiots and half of them get arrested.
For all I know they sacrificed the bunny and the duck to Satan on the bike track, who knows.....
Buncha weirdos.
lol
Oh, and how could I forget...the pro wrestlers dingy gf apparently never got anybody to buy her ducks for $50, and wants me to take them today.... BUT, still wants me to babysit them. Nuh uh. I said she would be better off to start over with more babies later if she wants ducks, cause she wanted to get rid of them when they got big anyways.
So I don't know if she's bringing them or not.
Pray I don't shoot them both if they do show up.
So my prayer today, for these reasons (it was that before the whole prank phone call actually) and others that are long reaching and ongoing, etc., has become, Lord, get everybody ready to go, and just come ahead and get us, cause I'm tired of dealing with the morons down here. In heaven, people won't be morons. I don't want morons to be lost, so I want them to get ready, but up there, I know they won't be morons anymore. So, come quickly Lord Jesus.....
Amen. :smirk2:
Went to a few garage sales this morning. It's a beautiful day out.
Did you find any old english lit. books? I used to tag along with mom to yard/garage sales and look for them specifically. :D Spent hours and hours reading them, but never did do the homework questions at the end of the stories.
/me saw roscoe today
:hypocrite:
lol
Merning all!
Babs, I'm sorry to hear that.
I need something new to occupy my mind....I keep thinking about morons.
HELP!
Seth you could come over and help me with this music.
I'm very happy. I just found out, completely by chance, that there is a soundtrack already made for "He's Alive" by Don Fransisco. Saves me the trouble of making one of my own, for I really like that song.
Oh God....help me, Lord....
Just when I thought that I was going to maybe eek by with some peace, the pro wrestler girl just texted asking the address again, they're on the way.... They should know how to get here without the address, for Pete's sake, they came down here twice already.....
/me weeps over the stupidity of people......
Somebody hide the gun and bullets from me.....
And another report of an air traffic controller napping, the fifth one (that the FAA admits to) since March. They say it is an "open secret" that when two controllers are on duty at night one will nap while the other covers both posts, then the second will nap while the first pulls double duty.
So... anyone taking a flight soon?
Seth maybe she wasn't driving the last two times. I and my brother used to drive down to Florence about five or six times a year, but he can't tell you how to get there. He always zoned out and never remembered the route, even though it only had one turn (left turn) between our town and Florence.
She wasn't, and she's probably not again. But I don't think she could find her way out of a paper sack if you put her in one and turned her around once.
You could always make a big pot of duck soup... Throw some black beans in it maybe?

Well, they came and brought the ducks back. It wasn't as bad as I thought. She didn't beg and plead for me to babysit them in person, so that was good....
Gotta clean up for church in a minute.

I need some Valium.

Hmmm... In an apostolic magazine I just found an ad for one of those sites for busy pastors, that gives you sermons you can preach. Preachers who have no time to whip up a sermon on their own can search the database by author, scripture and subject.
I knew some churches did copy-and-paste sermons, but I have never seen an ad for it in a pentecostal magazine before. :smirk2:

Mini, you hit your head? It's clearly afternoon when you posted this! :noo:
Hi everyone1 One day closer to vacation.
What a rewarding day!
I helped the Youth sell donuts and we sold 100 dozen. :o (and contrary to popular belief, the cops did not flock to us! I saw MANY cops, and none would stop and buy any!) then had lunch with the greatest Youth EVER, and back to the church for an incredible Sign practice, and a Youth Staff meeting. Then went to Gauiter to the mall where I DIDN'T find the shoes I was looking for, :( and came home.
I did find out something awesome today though!
When we were selling donuts at the hospital today, I went and weighed on the same scales as I used last Friday when dad got his toe cut off, and in 8 days, I dropped 11 pounds!! Yay! :hyper:
Of course that with being sick and not eating for two days, but hey! Whatever! ;)
TUPPERWARE!
Oh! We made $325.00 PROFIT off of the donuts today. It was EPIC!
And I didn't get a single donut...
I didn't see you drive by! Or I would have yelled at you too! "MAGIC DONUTS!! ECO FRIENDLY! SIX DOLLARS A BOX!! TURBO CHARGED!! HELP OUT OUR YOUTH!!"
No joke, thats what I yelled ALL DAY. :o and the WIND was crazy. My lips got chapped and I had to go get some carmex before I came home. OY.
But well worth it!
Cops aren't suppose to eat donuts on duty. Their addiction to them is so strong it could impair their coffee drinking skills during work hours. Isn't that right 5-0?
:waving:
Oh, I told this one little boy who had the window down, "tell your daddy you want some donuts!" HE DID!! It was so hilarious! The Dad just laughed and the light turned green and he drove away.
Didn't buy his kid a donut! :sadbounce:
Magic? Turbo charged?
Eco friendly I'll go along with... they're biodegradable, unlike the infamous 5 year old BK fries.
Yeah. Wes started screaming crazy stuff like that, and it got people smiling and looking at us more, so we went with it! It worked! We sold them all!
In other news, I was just on the phone to Kimber, and she was a little TOO excited to hurry and get off the phone with me...cause she wanted to come post on GP.
:o Dear Lord, what have I done?!
It's all your fault.. you have created a GP JUNKIE!!! :reaction:
Haha!
Oh no, it's worse than I feared. She has already found the overreaction alert.
Say goodbye to your friend Mel, only place you'll see her from now on is on the forum.
I know! That's what I am afraid of!
would also like to say that I agree with MR. Taco... If they eat said donuts it may give them too much turbo magic and they would out run their victims upon arrest.. ...I mean the poor little old man who J walked may fall and we cant have five-oh leaving flinstone tracks on the guys back!
I'll try to make church in the morning psalm.. really I will.. :biglaugh:
You better! Or Livi will get your Solo for sure! We are supposed to do it tomorrow!
My solo is tomorrow??? :sing: :sing: I am so nervous now thanks friend.. I'll be sweating all the way to church, I hope I sleep tonight.. do you have any idea of what you've just done!! :violin:
:up2:
You are gonna do fine. It sounds good.
hehe.. you are so delightfully mean bol.. so church tomorrow night in the big L?
I like to sing. :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing:
I found some great soundtracks in the last week. Jesus Will Do All That You Can't (by the Crabb Family,) The Promise (by the Martins,) He's Alive (by Don Fransisco) and Home, Where I Belong (by B.J. Thomas, but I made the soundtrack myself, just finished it today.)
Maybe. Idk yet. We shall see.
Met the Crabb family in person ( they are NOT identical twins )
I've heard the Martins.. but the others are new to me.. can I youtube them or something??
well I gotta go take my meds and drink coffee now to calm down for bed.. Mel call and help with my ritual again tonight would you..? I'm just kiddin.
Lol!
I'm fixing to go get some porkchops ready to cook in the crockpot for tomorrow.
Not for me though, I am gonna find someone to go to the Chinese Buffet with me. SUSHI!!

A bit showy, this version. Sharon Walker does it much better on her album.
And the soundtrack, the one without background vocals is much better. >.>

No, Seth, in THIS backwards town, we have Sushi at the Chinese place.
Well g'night y'all. Good luck retaining your sanity Kimber. Mel, as the one who made the mistake of introducing her to this forum, you are responsible for making sure she does in fact get to church tomorrow. And shame on you, you have created a GP monster. :P

Morning, everyone. I was so tired I went to bed early last night. Slept good.
I went to bed very late last night and slept good. Im going on something like day 21 of running like crazy. If all goes well, this Friday I will not budge out of this house...
Morning!
I slept well also.
Couldn't find any meat in the freezer last night that was crock pot type meat, just steaks and brisket and liver and ham, so I told Dad, and he said to make beans. So I soaked some beans over night, and I'm fixing to turn them on. That's dads favorite anyway. Hope he enjoys them cause I am having SUSHI! haha!
Happy Sunday everyone!

Yummy!
I'm fixing to go be good though, and eat oatmeal.
*Psalm_97 wipes his glasses off and looks at the screen again.
Yummy? Who said yummy? I can't find anybody outside my immediate family who likes pan-fried chicken livers, and most in my family aren't too fond of them either. Of course most people have been soured on chicken livers in general thanks to the chewy, dried-up things they sell at convenience stores.

Actually I've never tried tripe. Or intestines for that matter - the digestive system isn't the most sanitary part of the body. Liver is very good though, as are gizzards if you pressure cook them enough to be, if not soft, at least not rock-hard.

Actually I've never tried tripe. Or intestines for that matter - the digestive system isn't the most sanitary part of the body.
But you think the liver, which filters toxins out of your body, IS sanitary? :eyebrow:
Yes. You want some? I'll save you a big piece next time we have it.
My birds would enjoy it, but not me.
It's not for the birds.
We're really burning up the intarwebs with Sharing today, aren't we? :)
Semi-productive day, here.
John :waving:
Gotta go to the hospital, a lady that attends church has fluid on her lung or some such.
Look it up, the liver is one of the best parts to eat. And it filters the blood, it doesn't store the impurities it filters out any more than the kidneys store uric acid.
Then eat a kidney. :smirk2:

Newsman, stay on your side of the state line! :laughhard:
Not as much nutrition in the kiddley (I said kiddley diddle I?) While the liver doesn't store impurities, it does store a lot of vitamins and trace elements.
Also I don't recall ever seeing kidneys on the menu or at the supermarket. Kidney beans, yes. Don't remember seeing real kidneys.
:teeth: Weekend went very well, haha. Happy my boyfriend made it safely... :)
Working tonight! Ready to be off soon!! Like in...3 hours haha.
Went to sleep last night and my right foot felt fine, woke up this morning and it hurts from the ankle all the way down through my foot. Wish whoever borrowed it last night would have treated it a little better.
Took a pill last night and actually slept pretty good for once.

But it was a preacher person that always wants to book himself and honestly once was enough....even though he's been here twice.....and tried to be more than that..... They cell CDs and everybody already bought their CDs the first time they came....and I don't think anybody bought anything the last time.....and I didn't give a very big offering because I didn't ask him to come, he asked me to come....so I was kinda hoping he'd just drift off into the sunset and not bother me anymore...but alas, I was wrong..... Argh. I managed to say I didn't want to schedule anything now though...Golly....he's very "get your foot in the door and don't take no for an answer" about things....sheesh...
Anyways.....
Why me!?!?! Everything has to be a big barrel of craziness in my world. No where I go is safe.
Maybe I should be calling around, trying to get myself booked at churches to preach. Last night on yahoo someone basically asked me if I was a UPCI licensed minister, why wasn't I preaching? I tried to tell her that (A) preaching is a very, very small part of being a minister and (B) my ministerial plate is very full without preaching right now, but some people just see the preaching. Or lack thereof.
Hey Seth, think I could come over there and preach a revival?

also, wow, God is really working me over. Chip away God... even if it hurts. I don't care what anyone else says, I'm a pathetic excuse for a child of God. I don't think I'm going to feel all victorious when, by His grace, I make it to heaven. I think I'm going to be absolutely amazed, not that I'm so unworthy and He is worthy, but that by His Spirit, He made me truly whole. So whole that who I am on this earth, at the onset of salvation, looked like some defunct handicapped inbred mean cousin.. and not who worshipps liberally before Him eternally.
...and my people shall never be ashamed. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; Joel 2:27b-28

:pound: All I know is, if I'd had to walk the distance we drove, it'd have seemed like a thousand miles.
I got our little garden plowed and planted, and then God apparently thought it'd be a good idea to test His wind and rain making skills for the season over my neighborhood. What didn't get blown away has the possibility of being drowned. No way of knowing the damage yet.
We need rain badly. They say we're having drought.
That was one of the longer truck order work days I've had. All the managers are in a tizzy (that's a technical term) over the inspection tomorrow, and if you ask "Is there anything else before I go?" the answer is always yes. So I got a good 2 hours more than expected today. :D
If I didn't have a good work ethic this would be the most relaxing inspection day ever for me. I'm starting my other job this coming Monday - what's the worst they could do at my current job, fire me? :P
It's going to be interesting tomorrow, for sure. Everyone will be nervous and likely snapping at everyone else. I just hope and pray (and pray and pray and really pray!) I'll keep a good attitude.

Got a laugh today. My cellphone company which has been the same for a year now, sent me an email responding to my complaint about not having service since Friday claiming that they never offered service here. Not only that, if I go to there website and put in my zip code it says I should have service. It never stops amazing me at how terrible customer service is becoming.

Sounds like a certain company I heard of while I was reading amazon.com reviews on a product recently. "If you call the company they will say they never had a complaint about this before, even if you called them a few days ago about the exact same problem."

Everyone ok after the storms last night?
I am already on record as saying I like heavy weather... but not when I'm trying to sleep. Got awakened about 3am by a big BOOM! >.>
Morning y'all. My main goal today is to not let everyone else's "We're having an inspection!" tension make me tense, and not let everyone else's snapping at everyone make me snappish.
:hi: We got clouds but no rain last night.
It POURED here yesterday for like an hour. Then it was gone and the sun was shining.
It hailed in a lot of places too. It's thundering and awfully dark here right now too...
Last day of work this week!
Holiday Youth Convention tomorrow and Friday.
Ugh. Storms! We had two sets of sirens just in an hour's time frame! One while I was at work and another right after I dropped a corworker off at home and I was sitting at a forever long stoplight. Had to drive home thru a hailstorm. :/ Tornado was spotted a few miles from my house but thankfully no damage at ours! My old high school was damaged some so they're out today. Supposed to have been some damage out by our church but I haven't seen it of course!

What's wrong Barb?
We didnt have any storms at all.
And just FYI for those that remember her, Jolene is in labor right now!! Should be having her baby girl very soon! Yay!
Stormed here a bit last night. Not anything too bad.
Morning all. I slept in today.... just got up. I almost never sleep this late. No damage I can tll from the storms, God's hand was on us again. :thumbsup2:

I learned how to make a skirt from pants! We had a class @ church. So instead of throwing away Andrew's jeans when he grows out of them or as he tears the knees, I am making them into skirts for Hannah or whoever. I'm going to add girlie stuff to it, also. Well, actually practicing on them right now... lol I did make a cute plaid skirt for Hannah out of a $2 pair of suit gouchos from a thrift store. They're cute!

Well THANK GOD my cellphone seems to be working again. Still having a few issues but nothing like I was. Had a phone call with another "customer service" rep that was sad to the point of being comical. She went as far as to ask me my address about 6 times and would then try to tell me that I apparently didn't know my own address because she couldn't find it. I finally just told her I think i know my address better than her and her computer and it was the only address for this house. (Chel and Mel can tell you my house is hard to find using any type of computer or GPS) She finally at that point stopped asking for my address. In the end after about an hour of nonsense she finally agreed it was a service issue like I had been telling her for an hour and that taking the battery in and out of my phone wouldn't help anything.
Maybe, Verizon got the issue fixed because my company gets service through the Verizon network here. I think it would have been easier to contact Verizon and deal with them. The last time I did that though they told me I had to go through my company and the call center that must be in Mexico because all the reps have a Spanish accent and sound like they are still in the process of learning English.
Don't ya love that?
:laughhard:
Why do I have so much paper work that says the same exact thing but each piece says "Be sure to save for your records"?
Please pray for Jolene and baby Juliette, she had to have an emergency c-section about 4pm today and the baby was taken straight to the NICU and they won't know anything about how much damage was done to her brain for 48 hours.
Jo is in a bad state of worry, and Juliette needs our prayers. God is WELL able to bring this child out normal and healthy. He made her, He can fix whatever is wrong.
Thanks.

34 days... :hyper:
Hello, Poopsie.
Why are up up so early?
I'm up to go walking with Brittney. I'm keeping Parker today too. Only a short day today though. I should be out of here by 2.
Howdy y'all. Can't believe I'm up so early... W*rk called and woke me up, said the maintenance guy called in and I needed to scramble and get what I can done before I have to start transition. Popularity is such a burden. ^.^

Well. I had a brief nap on the couch when Brittney and I got back from walking the beach.

You don't have to envision that. We walk on the road, not the actual beach part.

At 7 this morning, I was unconcious. Did't open my eyes until nearly 10 this morning. I dun got lazy. Or maybe it was a donut overdose, I don't know.
I hereby resolve to feel your pain and will seek out a food substance to over(indulge)(dose) in shortly.

Giving away some duck eggs I have on hand that I don't have room, nor wish to set, at the moment, and so rather than see them waste I've offered them for free. A guy came and got a few dozen while ago, and when he got here and saw the church van he was like "You go to a Pentecostal church?" I was like "No, we just stole their van and haven't had a chance to get it to the chop shop yet...please don't tell."
NOooooooo, I didn't say that either. :P I said yeah. And come to find out, he goes to Calvary Tabernacle in Indy. So we both shouted together in the driveway and broke the eggs.
Noooooooooooooo, we didn't do that either. We just chit chatted about the Killmons and birds.

Debating on going to Branson a night earlier than originally planned. Lord, I need a break, even if I don't do anything other than walk around the town and stay in the motel. Laptop will go with me though, so I don't miss out on anything.

If you are falling and there is an oscillating fan nearby on high with front guard off of it, it's a good idea if possible to avoid your hand going into the blades. My right hand is proof those cheap plastic blades can inflict some pretty good damage when running on high.

Well tomorrow's my last day at w*rk. Monday I return to my former job, also known as the best job I ever had, and I'm not even kidding.
One side effect of having a job at a fast food factory for so long is, my supply of blue jeans has run low. I wear uniforms to work, dress clothes to church, and only wear jeans on my days off that are not church days. Under these circumstances I have not bothered to replace jeans that wear out, so now I must restock or face the prospect of doing laundry every two days.
I still can't believe that after 2.5 years, with everyone and his brother's friend's uncle's third cousin twice removed looking for a job, they would just up and call me out of the blue like that. (At the risk of sounding cheesy) it's like, wow! :cloud9: :jumping:

To borrow Mel's phrasing-SMH.
Morning,all
Howdy and good morning!
I've been up for awhile, on FB, texting and talking on the phone. Ready to get this day going!
We sold the Jeep! So I'm gonna go clean it out and get all my stuff out of it. I also have to clean the kitchen, and do some laundry.
If I hurry and get all that done, I MIGHT go up to the hospital and see Ann while she is working. I need to go weigh myself today and see if I lost any more weight this week.
:hi:
:smirk2:
Well.
That's about the long and the short of it.
I decided not to try to have lunch with Ann.
I'm cooking sauce in the crock pot. Having spaghetti for dinner. :fork:
I will go to the hosp later to weigh though. We don't have a scale here, and the scale there is the one Ive been using so I'll go back there.
Curioser and curioser... Today the maintenance man ducked out early and left me with all the remaining maintenance man-type tasks. This week has been a study in unexpected work hours. Being called in early, having to wait because people didn't show up on time, delays with the truck order, etc.
Now usually when I get more hours than scheduled all over the week that means I'm going to need the money. Most times I find out exactly what for about a day or two before payday. This is not just a matter of "I believe God works all things for good" but a matter of historical fact. It just happens that way. So now I'm all curious what I'm about to need all that money for.
:sing:
This is the night, is the beautiful night, and they call it bella noche.....
:sing:
So. I talked to Ann some more and decided to go have lunch with her after all. She needs me. Things are really tough for her emotionally right now, and she actually asked me to come over and didn't know I had been planning to earlier.
Why do I do that? I will drop everything for someone, spend money I don't have, lend an ear or a shoulder and just BE THERE for someone, then when I feel like I need somebody to do that for me, I often feel alone and isolated and no one even tries to help me the way I feel I need them to.
(Not pointed at anyone, just an observation on the way I normally feel.)
So anyway. I'm at McDs. Getting a chicken sandwich for me and a cinnamelt for Ann.
Maybe you are quiet and reserved about what you are going through and they can't tell you need someone. Maybe you should pull an Ann and ask.

Plenty of times I've felt that way.
Various times that I have confided in someone about things in times past. But now I think I've grown more calloused and withdrawn, and some people that used to be are not as readily accessible anyways, and I have internalize everything and cope the best I can in my old curmudgeonly ways.
definately have felt like that Mel. Then I wonder if I'm not expecting someone to be what only God can be because He has used me to show Jesus to someone else. I don't know the answer but it's easy for me to say He's my everything and then later still want something else, or want it from someone else.
Don't forget the amazing thing you are doing though! YOU are representing Jesus to Ann, and the whole purpose of that is so eventually Ann will make Jesus her everything.
I was gonna go to the feedstore and such, but it's fixing to storm and I opted to just wait for now... Maybe tomorrow...dunno... I'm not out or anything, was just gonna go restock up on some stuff.
It's getting late now, after this passes through probably no time to mess with it... And somebody just called and asked about bunnies, so they may be coming later for some.... One can hope. lol
:smirk2:
Interesting SHARING tidbit: Although many people asked me if I was going to miss working at McD's, nobody said they would miss me. But two people commented that they would miss my coat. I have a thick camo coat with a hood that I never did bother to bring home because I used it every week when I put up the freezer part of the truck order. If I leave it there I can't forget to bring it from home when I need it, right? The store manager fell into the habit of using it (and I often found her gloves absentmindedly left in the pockets) and others used it if spending some time working in the freezer.
Kind of a facer to be upstaged by a stupid coat...
Sounds like you need a good laugh Isaac!
Since you're sharing transparently... there have been times when I'm not feeling great, that I'll get online and look at FAIL pictures. Ok, well maybe not times, but once this week. And I laughed till I cried. I felt so much better about myself. ☺ Temporary fix, I know, but I really just needed to be distracted for a moment.

Candled over 30 dozen eggs. And then the guy that buys them "wholesale" from me called. He's stopping to mushroom hunt up the holler down here and coming to pick up eggs after that. My mother was praying he would, we are running out of room to put eggs...lol
Two ladies just came and bought to Keester Bunnies.
Big sales day around here...WOO!
I'm soooo ready to go home. Wish they'd let us off early.
Well, time to get cracking on the "King of everything" soundtrack. The kids really like this song, it'll be fun, I happen to like it too (it's in my personal collection) and frankly... it's fun to play. Kind of an African jungle sound. I'm seriously considering getting some plastic animal masks for the kids to wear.
And it gives me a chance to use bongos. :D
Is that the "Who is the king of the jungle? (whoo whoo) Who is the King of the sea? (bubble bubble bubble) Who is the King of the universe? Who is the King of me? J E S U S YES! He is the King of me, He is the king of the universe, the jungle and the sea!!"
Is THAT the song?
I haven't heard that in a long while. Love it!
No, this is:
Let's sing about the Lord
The greatness of our God
For He's the king of everything
We're wild about His love
And all that He has done
For He's the king of everything
I know God, I talk about Him
Every single day
I pray to Him at all times
He's the only way
I love Him, He loves me
No matter where I go
And everything I do will be
For GOD AND GOD ALONE
(Huh!) (or maybe whoop, or something... hard to type the sound.)
Well, whoop, there it is. :smirk2:
Eating a salad. Been straightening up the tractor shed and picking up crud strung out from the building project. And tending fowl, and doing turkey physical therapy, and everything of course.... Gotta go finish tending fowl again after I'm done eating.
Been doing Math homework. I have to start doubling up on some assignments so I can get them done early.
Not feeling my best today. Hand still hurts and is swollen,
Got the fan put back together though, so maybe that wont happen again.
Twas a dark and stormy night.
Was awoken by my mother while ago telling me there was a coon outside. So I went out and shot it. Nothing like starting your day off with a reign of death. :P
C'mon Seth, cook that dude! Best meat they had at the men's wild meat supper was barbecued raccoon. Ole coony has so much fat on him that the meat cooks up really soft. I almost ate myself sick on barbecued raccoon.
Howdy y'all. Church egg hunt today. I don't know that we'll have a big turnout... the location has changed twice in the last two days. Even for people who DID get the word of the last change, they might figure they'll just go somewhere else, cause by the time they get to the egg hunt it'll be moved again. :P
It acted sickly, so I really wouldn't want to eat it....not that I would want to if it acted well. lol
Gonna go check and make sure the church didn't blow away or wash down the creek last night, and go to the feedstore and such.
My, what rain......
Gone to the church to run defense in the egg hunt.
At least they told YOU where the egg hunt was.
I'm awake. Under protest. My head is throbbing and I have a Holy Ghost hangover from praying yesterday.
Gotta clean the kitchen, lay out some steaks and marinate them for tomorrow, and clean out the jeep cause I didn't do it yesterday. Then be at the church at 3. We have Youth service tonight.
The church didn't wash or blow away, Easter is not cancelled. :P
Went to the feedstore(s).
Came home.
Eating lunch.
I have completed all I said I would do. Except be at the church. But it's not time yet. Lol
Cleaning out the Jeep was hard. :( all my Jeep Duckies are homeless now. I did leave one in there. Just so the Jeep won't ever forget that it was once the DuckMobile.
*sigh*
I miss it already and I haven't driven it in months!
:hi: Went to a garage sale but didn't find anything.
Not even a garage?
Took some silver pheasants out of the incubator while ago.
Waiting for people to come get some turkeys.
Drawing up blueprints for an ark.
Well there were more people at the egg hunt than I expected. We had a good time, nobody got run over in the scramble to get eggs and nobody got mad about not finding the prize egg first.
While we were waiting to start I muttered to Bro. Butch that I was surprised a few kids didn't get together in a pack and rush out there getting the eggs first. He said they already had tried that, that's why Sis. Pattie was standing perimeter guard. :P

Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest hight, let's go fly a kite and send it soaring, up through the atmosphere, up where the air is clear, come let's go, fly a kite......
Makes me want to climb a tree, but there are none around here that are climbable, and I wouldn't be able to take my keyboard, laptop, sustain pedal and etc up there. At least not easily.
It's 2:38 p.m....
REPENT, and be BAPTIZED, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST!
:o
thread title makes me want to start a fire for some reason lol

Gather round, Tootie, saints, she's under conviction....
Somebody grab her right arm and swing it back and forth and yell "HOLD ON!" in her ear, and somebody else grab her left arm and wave it up and down and thump on her back and scream "JUST LET GO!" in her other ear...and somebody get in front of her and jiggle her chin....
And in other news, the baby turkeys are now on their way to Kentucky.
/me grabs the fan and fans tootie as she prays
Well, got to go to town then to the church for a BBQ later. I am feeling even more exhausted than usual today. Hopefully I don't fall asleep face down in my food. If I do though I feel sorry for the person who tries to wake me up. lol

Seth don't forget the raccoon.
Remind me this evening cause after church is probably when I'll haul it off. :smirk2:
By then I will probably have also forgotten.
Church on Saturday night?
Bongos are fun! :D
That is all.

Yes. For the past 50 years or so.
The coon is in a bucket out by the woodshed now. So maybe I can remember. lol
Gotta get cleaned up and go to church.
possum can be eaten, but be careful when you clean it. The hide/fat is somewhat acidic, and will corrode the blade you use to clean the animal, if you aren't careful!
John :waving:
Well I am home, had my three showers for today.
One before the BBQ, one while holding the pastors baby, and one to get rid of the second shower when I got home.
That little boy must drink a lot!!!
:o
w2cch tended fowl in the rain and might as well have just run naked and wallered in the mud in the dark.
Tarred.
Didn't fool with the stupid coon, didn't have time.
I had a pretty great day today! I got quite a bit acomplished here at home, then went and ate a late lunch with Granny at KFC, then went to the church for Youth service where I ended up playing the drums cause Jimmy hurt his back and couldn't come at the last minute, so I filled in. Then the kids played volleyball and ate pizza, and then Wes took the kids home and I stayed and helped Krissy bathe Livi and get her Jammies on. Then I had an amazing phone conversation with a great friend, then went to WM to get sweet potatoes for tomorrows lunch, and then had another phone conversation on the way home!
Now I am in my bed, the taters are ready to turn on in the morning, and I am tired!!
Incredible day!
And I am SOOOOO excited about my sign team tomorrow!! We are doing Matthew 28 and I am SOOOOO proud of my kids! They pulled it off and it looks amazing!! CANT WAIT!
Still in Branson. And it's still storming. Lou's about ready to kill me.... I was a cheapskate and agreed to go to a 90 minute presentation/sales pitch in return for low priced motel, dinner, and show tickets. The 90 minute presentation turned into over two hours, and I nearly bought a timeshare. :o Probably would've if it had been a little cheaper. But, we got tickets to a decent comedy/music show and an awesome steak dinner. :biglaugh: Fixing to call it a night. Gotta drive home tomorrow.
:waving:
I hate those time share things.
Me too. We did a "90 min" one once to get half price Disney tickets. UGH...longest 3 hours of my LIFE! And Dad kept telling the lady we were NOT interested in the time share, we just did it for the discount...she kept talking and was cutting into our precious time we COULD have been at the park.
Makes a humorous story and inside joke with our family now though.
Maybe that's the secret of those timeshare things. You're sharing your time with them, and their share keeps growing.
Surprisingly, this timeshare thingie wasn't that bad.... Call medumb, but I nearly bought it. would've been real nice for our little getaways, but like I told the salesman, vacations are a luxury these days and I just didn't feel comfortable tying up money in a luxury item that we may not get to use much. Oh, well, it was a good meal/show/ hotel for cheap and it only costs us three hours. :laughhard:
Morning everyone. Fixing to pack up and go home- feels almost like I'm moving, given the way Lou packs.

I'm tired and grumpy.
Eating a BBP.
Well since you're already feeling grumpy, now would be a good time to toss that raccoon. Better to do it now because if you do it when you're feeling good it might make you grumpy again.
Or maybe not. But you asked us to remind you, so I did. :thumbsup2:
Took a nap.
Sold some ducks.
Gonna go to church I believe.
Boy, its raining (finally) in Oklahoma.
2 days ago, dad had a catfish show up at his door asking for a drink. Last night, a cousin saw one swim by in the rain cause there was more water in the rain than there was in the pond.
Today, all the fish are drowning...

Been a long day. Home again and decompressing.
Why does everyone want to do something in the Easter Sunday morning service, but not at night?
Amazing day! My sign team is AMAZING! And my lead soloist signer for this song is right now uploading the video to her YouTube so maybe soon I can post the link and show y'all what an amazing performance they gave today!!
I am so thrilled! My brother went to church and took his wife and Daughter with him! And they liked it! I have been praying for them for awhile and they are finally making moves toward God! So exciting!
I am feeling amazingly loved and blessed today! It's funny the difference a few phone calls from special people and a few dozen hugs from other special people can make in your additude and self worth!
Came home and dad was cooking up that steak that I had marinated, and the potatoes were perfect! I made some broccoli and we chowed down on an amazing Easter lunch!
Olivia was so sweet and cute today, all the kids were decked out in their Sunday best and had a blast finding eggs in this church's first ever egg hunt! We had a blast!
*happysigh*
Tomorrow is walking with Britt, sitting with Parker, and Bible study class.
Starting the week off right!
*Easter best, not Sunday best. Lol
And I used the word "amazing" a bit too much in that post. Hehe.
Oh yeah, speaking of amazing... I found a soundtrack for an amazing song, "He's Alive" by Don Fransisco. So, since nobody else was doing anything Easter Sunday night, I sang it tonight at church. Only problem is I can not seem to sing that song without choking up. Through the entire song. It's a wonder anyone was able to understand a word I said.
Even in practice I can't sing it straight. I kept having to stop myself from singing it at work because I didn't want anyone to ask me why I was crying. >.>
Ok, so...this video doesn't do this justice! It was a bit darker from where the person videoing was standing, so you can't see the signs clearly. I am VERY dissappinted in the video, BUT! I am SO VERY proud of my kids! They did every sign the way they were supposed to and when you were there...it was AMAZING!
I REALLY wish they would have zoomed in on Priscilla, the one in the center front. She REALLY got anointed and gave it her ALL! AMAZING! (hehe)
Here ya go:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZQTW9Aq2H0&sns=em
I'll post it on Facebook tomorrow...links don't post to FB well from my phone...I need to do it from the computer.
Been dealing with birds and eggs and what not.....
Lord, people are gonna be the death of me.... They all need knocked in the head.
Awake. I didn't sleep well at all. :(
Weird dreams. Not bad. Just crazy.
:smirk2:
That's ok...Jesus is still alive.
I haven't slept any yet. Gonna try again though.
Over here sitting in the van waiting on Brittney to come out. Dad had to get up and bring me over here this morning cause the breaks are bad on the van and he needed the truck.
And did I say yesterday that the Jeep is officially sold? :sadbounce: When I got home from church it was gone. *sigh*
Oh well. Soon I'll have a real job and I'll be able to get a car of my own. I want another Cavalier. (sp?)
Morning all. Back at work. Funny how a work week can drag by, but vacation time just sails by. At least it's my Friday.
Man...back at work for one day then off 2? You must have a government job....
Morning. :hi:
Supposed to rain today, maybe storm. Guess we'll see.
Why it's raining here now....imagine that.
There's either no rain, or too much rain. Never "just right."
:P
Howdy y'all. Friday was my last day at w*rk, today is my first day at work. And man am I ever glad to be back!
Gonna have to do some shopping first though... blue jeans, pens, razor blades, stop by the salvage grocery, gas, etc. Shouldn't take long: While I don't abhor shopping, it's not something I do for fun. I'm a surgical strike shopper - get in, get the stuff I want, get out.
Never fear...I am here.
Back from Youth Convention.
At work.
Utter exhaustion is settling in.
I would like to say though, that during the last two point something years, while there were three people for every one job opening, I thank God I had a day shift job with (usually) fairly close to 40 hours a week, at a job I could do and do well. It may not have been my favorite job in the whole world, it may not have paid as much per hour, but it was there while I needed it.
When the business floor was yanked out from under us 2.5 years ago and everyone was being laid off at the factory, all I could think about for some reason was Jerimiah 46, where Jeremiah is talking to Baruch, the man who wrote down and delivered what Jeremiah was prophesying.
4 ...The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
God made America great, but now official American policy and laws are not in line with God's will and America is being shaken. But God has always taken care of me and will always do so. I may not always get what I want, but I have always had what I need.
Psalm: What kind of job are you going back too?
/me kicks Minnysota in the booty.
Factory work, making tubes, screens, mufflers, filters and all kinds of stuff for engines. Best job ever, mostly because the bosses take care of the employees. Not just that the main boss there cares, the whole command structure is good people. General, all-around good work environment.
whew lorddy I'm bored....
:ball:
Baaaa rammm eweeee!!
Well that was a bit of a shopping spree. I went to get some jeans, razor blades and pens. I got more than that...
*looks behind him at the sea of bags.
Quite a bit more. Some great things you can find at a salvage grocery. I got probably more than $300 worth of stuff (at current normalized retail prices) for less than $50.
So Isaac, are you working evening shift or something?
Second shift, 3:30pm to midnight. Have to miss Wednesday night service and we still can't find anyone else to drive the bus on Wednesdays. More than a hundred people and nobody can drive the bus one night per week. To be fair some people are already doing a lot and we don't want to put more on them, and some would but can't because their driving history is not compatible with the bus insurance. But there are a lot of people doing nothing...
Sorry, got off on the bus business... *ahem* Yeah, second shift. I bought three cans of peanuts and three cans of honey roasted peanuts (one of each for the three tables in the break room) to celebrate my return. :D
And then we see the headline: "Man returns to factory after two years and kills all employees by peanut allergies."
You've been hanging around Seth too long Mel, he's starting to rub off on you. :P
:up2:
:P
Went to town....lunch with former coworker, egg drop, couple other stops.
Home now.
I found humor in the fact that the forestry service's sign (the Hoosier National Forest is here, various campgrounds, boat ramps, etc. around the lake, and so on and so forth) for potential fire danger today reads "LOW."
Ya think? You don't think that the mud and water is going to spontaneously combust anytime soon? :smirk2:
Keeping Parker awake is hard to do. He is sleepy. Lol
Too bad talking about how wonderful spring will be, like gasoline, would make us FEEL it. LOL I'm freezing.
Decided to bake all of dinner tonight, just so the oven can be on.. lol Roast chicken and scalloped potatoes. Come over GP I can make it stretch with a salad and some rolls!
It's kinda fun having Easter and Mother's Day so close together. Our Easter service was good. Couple of people got baptized, I haven't heard if anyone got the HG.

That's a good way to asure that people will leave your food alone.
Went to work, came home. Seth don't you know some cats use the toilet?
First day back and they put me on the furnace line, catching both lines by myself. And there was a lot of small batches, more paperwork, more tubs to have to put them in, more moving stuff around... it got a bit hectic, especially for my first day. If I got all the paperwork right it'll be a miracle.
On the plus side, I can take all the time I want to wind down. Don't have to get up before about 3:00pm tomorrow, so who cares? :P
:bustamove:
Who all wants to be investigated?? :bigcheese:
John :waving:
I think Roscoe wants to be investigated!
Howdy, y'all. :hi: Supposed to have strong chance of tornadoes again this afternoon.
Ditto what Fuzzy just said, the howdy and the chance of tornadoes.
Just saw a video review of a automatic shotgun. The guy said "Don't try this at home, remember, I'm a professional Russian" or something of that sort. It had some language in it so I wont post a link. But that line... "Im a professional Russian." I think I will have that put on my business cards. LOL

Oh, and I don't want to be investigated- but that'll make no difference anyway, John's quoted me for truth a dozen times since the last investigation. I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll be named in the next one.
Last night was quite the weather event around here- tornados everywhere, lots of wind and heavy rain. All the tornados were a distance from me though, so as far as I know the only issue we had was a ton of rain.
Morning all, it's my day off and the skies appear sunny. :thumbsup2:
It's gloomy outside. Looks like it might rain.
But GOOD MORNING! I awoke in a great mood! Fixing to go make a big breakfast and do some stuff around the house today.
TUPPERWERE!
Hmmm... good breakfast. Took a tin of herring fillets in tomato sauce and treated it like tuna, mashed it up with a fork, added mayo, on sourdough bread.
Now, let's see what kind of trouble I can get into before work. Might lay down a bass line for this "King of Everything" track.
I have a itch to go flying.
I am on a serious rampage at the moment.
They have scholarships for being TALL.........but I can't find any, or get any...because I'm just plain jane, short, and white!!! SO LAME!
I just browsed thru about 25 scholarships...of which I only qualified for prob 2...because I'm not any of the following: Hispanic, African America, baptist, an architecture major, catholic, in a sorority, from a certain county, from a certain city, poor or in poverty, in nursing, an entrepreneur, child of a disabled, child of anyone in military, in high school, TALL, play sports, Scottish, Puerto Rican, history of cancer, in law, or have a child out of wedlock.....just to name a few!!
:tantrum: :tantrum: :getangry:
awg. Jenn that stinks.
On the upside, I've never heard of a TALL scholarship! It is crazy expensive to keep my husband clothed and fed. And he has backpain a lot from it cause he's always ducking. He's only 31 and has issues, just cause he is 6'8". That would be cool to catch a break for that.
http://www.scholarships.com/financial-aid/college-scholarships/scholarships-by-state/texas-scholarships/tall-clubs-international-student-scholarships/
He just has to be taller than 6'2....lol it's a Texas scholarship though...
Stuff like this makes me wish I wasn't an American....and I HATE FEELING LIKE THAT!

I nearly had the opportunity to do just that last night, Sans plane. I declined, :laughhard: And Jenn, I feel your pain. I had the same issues several years ago, and finally gave up. That's part of the reason I don't have a degree now. Don't give up, I really wish I hadn't.
If I were rich I would put up a scholarship for anyone who has a genius for making good virtual instruments. :freaky2:

At least it isn't that one guy from the weather channel Jim somebody.. When he shows up you know you are in trouble.
Please, please, fuzzy, send the tornados the opposite direction from Arkansas when you're finished whuppin' them. They try to get even with me because of the way you treat them.
