I saw that yesterday and thought of her. Most of them are common sense but as one who does not drink coffee except in dire emergencies I did not know the one about the foam pulls.
A friend I worked with at the shop posted that on her Facebook. It's all soooo very true :)
I first read that a couple of days ago, but didn't get it posted 'til now.

Sadly the only design I could make was an apple with a stem. Of course I worked in the drive thru so people weren't really concerned as they had lids on their cups :)
Oh, by the way... that part about tips being split with the whole staff is true. My mother used to work in a restaurant and the tips were put in a cup and split between only the full-time waitresses. When mom goes out to eat if the service is remarkably good she asks the waiter about their policy on tips. If it's a put-them-all-in-the-pot-and-split-them thing she says "Well here, this is not a tip, it's a gift. Don't put it in the pot." ;)
That only applies at Starbucks. At my shop I kept my tips or they were split at the end of each shift. I had some people get upset because everyone hated the drive thru because the tips weren't as good. I started working there and was pulling in ALOT more tips than everyone else :)
More tips than everyone else, but the only art you could do was an apple with a stem? Something fishy going on here... >.>
Kidding of course. Service was my favorite job of all time. Not the best job I ever had (that was at a factory where they really take care of their employees, listen to ideas and pay well) but my all-time most favorite job was working front cash at a Taco Bell. Worked there for 4.5 years, and if they had been able to guarantee me 40 hours a week I might still be there, even at minimum wage. I hear cashiers complaining all day long about customers but I had a blast!
Truck stop coffee is always the best coffee. If I want some weird concoction then I go to a coffee shop.
coffee..bleh :nono:

Honestly I still drink Chai tea alot. No coffee, just goodness. I'm also skilled in fruit smoothies as well.
Okay now you're speaking my language. I can do fruit smoothies from here to the other end of the planet and back. Give me a mango, a banana, some honey, milk, a little half-melted ice cream, some strawberries... tens of thousands of ways you can do a fruit smoothie, and very few ways to do it wrong. :D
Agreed :thumbsup2:
Fruit smoothies can be done wrong. Never listen to a person at a smoothie place who offers you something not on the menu and says "trust me it will be great". lol
Who goes to a smoothie place? I have a blender and I have my own ideas. :P
I usually end up at a smoothie place when I am out of town or something. When I am home I usually don't even think about smoothies much. I prefer a cup of coffee at home. lol
