I didn't think of that song!! And I was here alone last night for the most part. Justins Aunt gave me a key and she went "out" after work to go partying with her friends. I was asleep by 1:30, and I'm not sure what time she made it in, currently, she is passed out on her bed and it appears she is still dressed from last night. :o

In 20 years what is currently the younger generation will be saying exactly the same thing about "their" music, comparing it to what will then be "modern" music.

It's a quiet day here. Back to regular winter, snow and ice doesn't seem to be melting.
Made a Betty Crocker gluten free yellow cake, added lots of chocolate and some awesome chocolatey frosting. It was pretty decent! I had a sugar/carb induced coma afterwards. ☺
The Cosby Show is on instant play on Netflix now. I love that show! I don't think there has been as good of a family sitcom since.
Turned on the incubator to get warmed up.

so the reset team is currently a no go for me. i got home yesterday and had a letter in the mail from my checkup last month :( i have to go for more testing....again....gah!
but i do intend to get up tomorrow and go to church [UPC church even]. We'll see how it goes.

I really don't know how many pairs she has. She has a tendency to trade with friends, give away, ect. so she can acquire more. On the bright side, she has tiny feet and buys most of her shoes in the kiddie section- a little cheaper, sometimes.
That's unfortunate that her feet are so small...she can't give you as good of a swift kick as she could if she had great big number nines to lay into you with.... :P

Why do websites have to be so tricky? My sons friend just called me asking did I have to pay $80 to submit my FAFSA? I told him no. In talking to him I come to find out he went to FAFSA.com which is a site to help you fill out your forms and for the ones that do that by accident its inly in their small print it says not the official site. He just gave all his info to a private site

Cooked a roast in the crock pot last night. Made some rice and some gravy from the juice of the roast. It was very very good if I do say so myself. However, the wheezing and coughing took some of the enjoyment out of eating it. But, it was still worth it. lol

I know the Jetta is a great car... 5 speed, leather, all power... sun roof! Woohoo! I like the Cobalt... but don't know a lot other than I drove one for a weekend and loved it. If I could afford the Avenger, I would go buy a Toyota! LOL... I am figuring that since the Jetta is a 2004, and only 49000 miles... the guy that owned it must have had something else he liked to drive... that is only 7000 miles a yr... lol.

Wow, this is a lot more complex than our usual I-need-a-car modus operandi. We make the rounds of the used car lots in reach and pray a lot for guidance.
And I'm not even kidding. We always get a good dependable car that way.

But, since you are so insecure in your manhood and despise the fun little car, I'd say go with the VW, unless the cobalt is an SS model. those little suckers will run. A local guy had one he'd modified a bit- After watching him smoke a camaro, I wouldn't play with him in the 'vette too much. It'd be embarrassing to be outrun by a cobalt in my 'vette, but I'm pretty sure that would've happened. :laughhard:
The downside to the VW would be parts prices, I would think. But, they seem to be nearly bulletproof little cars.

This has always been my dream car since I saw one for the first time as a kid. I would take this over any other car out there.
Anything that runs, will last a long time and does not leak when it rains. I never have been picky in that area as long as it gets me from A to B safely and securely.

My mother-in law has an Aveo. She likes it, I thought it was kinda cheap feeling, but figured it was because I'd just gotten out of Lou's CTS, which is an '05, but still very nice. I actually considered one when I bought the Miata, but decided to buy a $2500 car instead of a $8,000 + car.

Got in about 11 last night from Florida, and pretty much went straight to bed. Woke up about 1, SICK. I was hurting so bad I was crying and I cried out to God to PLEASE take the pain away, I could NOT miss church this morning. Well, He must have heard me, cause one second I was in pain, and feeling like I was dying, and the next moment, I was waking up from a pain free sleep. So He must have knocked me out as soon as I uttered my frantic prayer cause I don't remember anything after that!

I'm debating just staying at church all day. With puppet practice at 3:00pm, and as late as I get back from taking the kids to the four corners of the earth after morning church, it's not really worth it to go home in between.
By the way, we have meet-and-eat after church tonight because it's the 4th Sunday in the month. Think I should slice two loaves of bread for homemade pimento cheese, or three? Or maybe four... I've tried two and three and it all vanished each time.
Last time I brought it I saw Bro. Butch with three sandwiches on his plate. I said, "So THAT'S where it's all going!" :P

Went to church, came home. I did anyways. My sister met us and took ma and granny to Seymour to see the baby. When I came home, the dog kept standing looking at the door waiting for mom to come in. lol

Yup, that's the way it works. I miss Sunday mornings because I'm upstairs playing bouncer in Children's Church, and when they have a really good service it seems everyone in church makes a point to tell me what a great service I missed. :/

Cold medicine, a fever, and trying to focus on a 1,000 word essay about building a business network do not work well together.
Well another Sunday afternoon that I am here at 4:30pm (CST) for a practice and nobody else is here. (ring ring) Oh yeah, we canceled that. Did nobody tell you? Nope.
The first few times this happened, okay. After this many times I wonder if it's even worth it. I have long since passed the point where I spend most of the trip from home to church wondering if anyone else will be there, or have they canceled it again without bothering to tell me.
Don't mind me, I'm in a really bad mood right now. I should probably log off until I cool down.
Psalm, I'm sorry. I have been there, only it was a small church and actual church services. I lived in a little town 40 min. away, highway time. It's offensive but you have to try and not be offended. Organization and delegation is needed, and that takes time and work for things to work smoothly. Pray for that leader that failed to tell you.
Everyone's involved in dipstick ministry. The ministry that reveals what your short on, be full of fruit brother. ☺ Have some good chocolate!
Church was good. Went to eat with Livi and her parents after. Then came home and CRASHED. coughed the whole time I was napping, now my throat is raw. Mom gave me a Lortab, so I may end up back asleep soon cause those things usually knock me out.
Gonna keep Parker tomorrow.

Went to church at the UPC church. I 1st went there 10 years ago. It's crazy to think about. We had 2 baptized and 1 got the Holy Ghost. Oh and I got renewed. I love that church and I just have to go regardless of what others say or my emotions/brain getting away with me.

Wow, what a service! The visiting preacher, Bro Johnny Shadell, walked in, looked at me, and decided he would point out all of my faults. ( It took him a bit) :laughhard: End result, I got a renewing that I've really been needing and praying for. Funny how someone that doesn't even know you that well can walk in and tell you exactly what you've been thinking and haven't told anyone. And better yet, give you a word from God on how to fix it. My societies raised one baby once and did great with it. Zebra pair hatched some and didn't care for them or something or other, they died right away. Then they didn't lay and stuff after that....
I have a new female on both the society and zebra pairs now, and waiting to see if they decide to lay.
But yeah, if they do, they should raise them on their own fine. lol
My diamond doves are raising babies...they've raised a few in the past...then had marital issues, etc. etc....laid eggs and abandoned them, etc. etc... But they have a pair of babies that are about weaned now I think, and they've already been sitting on another clutch of eggs for a little bit.

well ive had her for a while, my uncle gave her to me because someone gave her to him, she is light brown almost khaki color with a black stripe over her eyes and just a couple zebra stripes on her tail --- the other zebras are more gray and not brown

Yeah, we have a service like that around here. On the Alabama side of the line we have Bumpers Funeral Home, on the Mississippi side of the state line they Have Bumpers Drive-In. The drive in for a while had a guarantee of using the freshest ingredients including fresh meat never frozen. lol

And it just seems like around here, one of the top choices for gays are actually either BMW 3 series or Jettas, especially the diesels- they're veiwed as more ecologically friendly. :laughhard:
Having said that, and at the risk of being grossly misquoted, I am not gay and would LOVE to own a BMW or a diesel Jetta- the Bimmer's cool, and the jetta gets 50+ mpg. :thumbsup2:

I was going to eat some pan fried chicken livers from a local restaurant, but I need to eat the rest of this crab meat before it ruins.
I actually don't find these black beans to be particularly gassy.
What kind are they? I like black beans and would like to try them, if they sell that brand around here.
We have this Mexican restaurant here called Gloria's, and they have this black bean dip they bring out with chips...like instead of salsa/chips, they bring this dip out and it's AMAZING.

I had a TERIFFIC day with my bestest princess. We drove the antique to the local store, bought M&M's and little glass bottles of Dr. Pepper and visited with the old folks hanging around. We then drove around 5 miles of dirt roads with the windows down, looking for other old cars to drag home and wild flowers to pick. No luck on the old cars, something Lou is thankful for, but we found lots of yellow flowers (jonquils?). Chey picked a bunch of them to put on the kitchen table. When we got home, I made a Hamburger Cornepone pie fordinner. Sounds really countryfied, but actually was delicious. Just another day that makes me feel like the luckiest Daddy alive. :thumbsup2:

Oh, my birdbrain friend..... I posted a disclaimer, if you will, a bit ago. I really didn't pay attention to the mileage, it might've been ten miles or so, don't really know. And I was counting the stops for flower picking, stops for the escaped cows to cross the road, and a several minutes long stop talking to an old farmer and his wife who waved us down to talk about the truck. :biglaugh: I should've been more clear- It wasn't a "drive 5 miles exactly and time it" drive. I know you Yankees probably don't realize this, but things tend to move slower in the south, and I've been known to go get a loaf of bread five miles away and wind up in Memphis, two hours away- I'm easily distracted. :laughhard: And it might have been an hour, maybe thirty minutes, maybe two hours. I don't know, but it was fun. :thumbsup2:

well, if I was guessing, first they will do blood work and things to make sure its nothing serious like TB - then they will do an x-ray to see if its pnumonia in your lungs and then if its neither they will diagnose you with Bronchitus and prescribe you an anti-biotic and a cough syrup with codiene

somebody here had swine flu, they got over it but it was pretty terrible the family said.

They are considering putting me in an inventory position which would be awesome because it's what I like to do (and what I'm good at) and it'll put me on a Monday thru Friday 8-5 shift. Weekends off and I wouldn't have to miss church.

Lol! Eric was pretty close! They didnt take blood, but they did do X-rays. And they sent me home with a diagnosis of a bad sinus infection and a script for antibiotics and clairitan-D.

Been reading the "Story of the Great American West" it's a huge Readers Digest book I found at the Salvation Army for a buck yesterday. Very interesting stuff in there!

But my radio works real well- only problem is that it is apparently a shortwave model, as I am currently listening to "Radio Taiwan". :laughhard:
It is a really cool looking little radio and the only thing I can find on the internet is that it was made in 1942 by "Silvertone", for Sears, Roebuck, and Company. Gonna have to look for more info, it probably isn't worth the $35 I gave for it, but being the history nut I am, I thought it was cool that someone probably heard the news of WW2's conclusion over it.

If it is a shortwave radio that would probably make it worth more than you paid for it. The little battery operated plastic shortwave I have cost me $20. Shortwaves can cost a good bit for a good one.
Looked it up, one guy says his can pick up fm stations and long wave/short wave stations according to how you tune it in. Sounds like you got a good deal.

I have a superbly made full circle cloak, custom-made about 10 years ago for me, done in a rich blue and trimmed in white/silver (my medieval colors are blue and silver). No, I was trying to figure out the answer to a question I had, so I was going to visit a friend, and the plane I was flying was some kind of special one with special technology that I had decided to give to the Air Force. So being a jerk, I told them I was landing at a Air Force Base to give them the plane, they told me I really didn't want to do that, and I told them they really wanted me to. That's the only response back from that mailing that I have gotten except for having heard a couple people that we know mention that they had received them, and one lady that had moved out of state and had received it forwarded in her mail sent us a note nicely saying that we could take her address off the mailing list since she had moved away.

So...how about I have felt some better today. Not quite as bad. I was looking forward to church tonight. I have been distant from my friends this week cause of this blasted infection. Grandma is going to be gone for quite some time. Seven days for her cruise, which leaves on March 6th, then after she gets back she's going to hang around in Texas for 2 to 3 weeks. It occurs to me that if I got a cat tomorrow, by the time she returned it would be well acclimated to living here. It would belong here and she would be too late to do anything about it...

In response to the above poster that no longer exists in MY GP,- 'tis true. Well, except for the coffee part- my posion of choice is Dr Pepper, not coffee. I rarely drink the icky stuff. And I'm very careful about portraying a cop- if I do this too well, someone might mistake me for a "beat cop" and make me work, horror of horrors. :biglaugh:

Well I had some extra money this paycheck so I have had a glorious time! Went to the shoe store and got two pairs of Rockports for $36 (that's for both of them, not a piece.) My work shoes were literally falling apart and my dress shoes were faded at the toes, so everything moves one rung down the ladder: new shoes are dress shoes, dress shoes become work shoes and old work shoes get chunked in the trash.
Came home and scrambled up some ground beef with tomato sauce, mustard-based barbecue sauce, garlic, Dale's steak seasoning, Louisiana Red hot sauce and a bit of this and that from the spice cabinet, served on thick slices of bread for supper.
Then I went online and got two Geoff Moore albums and Crabb Family: Letting go (thanks five-oh) all for less than $15 (shipping and all) plus I picked up a cheap mic and a really good portable speaker (Altec Lansing iM-237) which brought the price to about $47 (shipping and all.)
This has been a good day. :)

Got the background guitar pattern laid down, which is basically the whole body of the song. Now I just have to flesh it out with little one-note piano bits and some light drums on the choruses. Should have it done well before the Sunday week that I said I'd try for.

Morning all. Yes, even Jenn- I've decided to let her snide comments pass. :laughhard: Back at work, then tonight, a little get together for the few youth in my church. Don't really know what kind of activities to plan, but we're trying to at least get a little fellowship together for them. I'm thinking a big pot of spagehtti, and a few games (Phase 10, skipbo, Uno, ect) will at least give them something to do out of the house and around the church. We'll see how it goes. I wish we had a larger youth group- having just 4 or 5 really limits what you can do.
If this goes well, maybe we can get with some of the other youth groups, even though most are an hour away, and have some fellowship. Ya'll pray for me, I'll probably need it. :lol:

doing laundry. tomorrow i'm having lunch with a good friend of mine then going to hang out with my friend Randi. She's my hula hoop teacher :) I'm going to start assistant teaching her hula hoop class in a couple weeks.
Still haven't gotten any word about my job.
Ahh, this has been a good day. The assistant maintenance man was in a hurry as usual and put a lot of stuff out of order when unpacking the truck order. He forgot to write expiration dates on a lot of stuff too.
Why is this a good day? Because the boss asked me to straighten things out, which was more time on the clock for me, which is more money. I work fast, I don't ride the clock, but if there's something else to do I'm more than happy to pick up some more time. Professionally they should have fired the dude long ago, but personally I hope he sticks around forever. ;)
Boss is about fed up though, so it won't last much longer. It's not good to be in that much of a hurry when unpacking the truck order but he is, depending on what "is" is. If he doesn't shape up it looks like he is going to be a was.
So now I'm home, debating what to have for supper. Might get the percussion track done on that soundtrack tonight. Maybe not, it's been a long day.
Ok so. I'm still alive. I think I MAJORLY overdid it.
Ann called today, so I talked to her for over an hour. Then my dad wanted to go run errands with me. So we did my stuff and his stuff, went to banks, funeral homes, banks and finally WM, all with me driving in the pouring rain. Then we came home, stayed about 20 mins while mom got dressed and went to an early dinner in Mobile at Olive Garden. I ATE WAY TOO MUCH! But boy was it good! I coughed and gagged all the way home though. Dad was driving. Then we came home, dropped mom off, and Dad and I went BACK to town to go to CVS. I drove again. Dad needed a script filled and I was bound and determined to find those Get Better Bears...anyone remember them? The lady at WM told me they recalled them, but CVS has a knock off version. Plus I wanted to go to CVS anyway to get the Duckie candies that Jenn was taunting me with.
Long story even longer...I got the lollipops, AND the Duckie candies. :girltongue: @ Jenn...and I'm sure I will lose my dinner here shortly with all the coughing and gagging I am doin.
So thanks for the prayers and well wishes...keep em coming. Resurrected? Somewhat. Back to %100? Not a chance.

She had sold the dumb thing for millions IIRC, but wanted to keep it with her always. So she had a tattoo made.

I actually knew a lady in Arizona who has a tortilla framed on her wall. She was making homemade tortillas and burnt one and she claims Jesus appeared to her on it. She made news around Arizona when it happened years earlier. I saw the tortilla and personally just saw a burnt tortilla. She felt God was sending her a message through the tortilla but she hadn't figured out what he was telling her yet. Sadly, it seemed like that tortilla had become her full time religion.

Well I'm still waiting impatiently for Easter to come and go... so I can get some easter chocolate half off. Also some cadbury (tm) creme eggs - not because I like them (I don't, too low quality) but my aunt Lucy loves them.

And, I just drank the most crazy concoction ever. I had a cup of hot water, lemon juice and cayenne pepper.
