Hey, everyone. I'm new, obviously. I was kinda hesitant to join an Apostolic forum since I've lurked around a couple of them and found some of the worse kinda attitudes I could imagine. After lurking here for a while, though , I believe you guys are more like the apostolic pentecostal people I've known my entire life, so here I am. A little about me- I'm 34 years old, married to the most beautiful, Godly woman alive, and we're blessed to be parents of a four year old princess. :) I've been a cop for close to ten years now (thus the user name). I've been raised old fashioned Apostolic Pentecostal since my Mama carried me into one at seven days old. By the grace of God, I've remained even through the usual time of doubt and teenage wanderlust. To give you an idea of my raising, my home church was UPC until recently when we went independant, although we still fellowship and have many friends still UPC. I look forward to being a member here, and maybe I can help someone else get through a trying time. That's what we're here for, right? God bless, Bob
Welcome! Jump right on in. :)
Praise the Lord! Welcome... :)
Now we have two Bob's... :biglaugh:
Wait! Your name is bob?
We have a new BOB on the forum guys!
:hyper: nice to meet you!
/me waves at bob.
Man bob, you beat me posting by like 30 seconds... I hit post and it told me that you beat me... drats! now it's out of order! lol!
*Bob waves at Jill* :waving:
/me waves at Bob again...

Technically, I guess I'm a Robert, but that sounds so stuffy! Apparently Bob is a good name to have here, lol. And YooperYankDude, if they give us too much problems- well, I DO carry a gun for a living, lol. Thanks for the welcome.
i'm glad somebody else threatens people around here.
hi. i'm heather. east tennessee. 27. not a cop, but menacing all the same.
Welcome, I'm new too an from Alaska... Have fun!

Bob... good to know... Guns are awesome (legally owned of course! lol)... what kind do they issue up there? I am not a cop... but was in the USAF, and I built things that I cant mention on Buses, Planes, or trains! lol...
Love the SigArms GSR 1911! That is my dream handgun!
Don't worry... they give all kinds of problems on here... but the cool thing... we just give it back to them! :laughhard:
And I go by YYD for short... but my real name is Thomas... not Bob... but someone *cough* gave me that name in a fit of rage when I thought her name was Jill the Dragon...
:P
Heather, I do not threaten folks :nono:- I give them stern warnings of the consequences of their actions, :biglaugh:. I can already see I'll love this place. Any more cops here that can help me control this crowd? If not, I'll just deputize you. :thumbsup2:
lol... I wanna be deputized!
YYD, I work for the Arkansas State Capitol Police and we carry Glock .40 calibers. I am, however, from the school of thought that the best handgun caliber ever made is a .45, and am fighting the sins of lust and envy over a friend's new 1911 Kimber.I think I'm gonna surrender and go buy a 1911, if my loving, Godly wife can be persuaded to not use it on me when she finds it. :)
bleh!
I am not huge Glock Fan. I want the new Apostolic Handgun, the Sig P-238, then If I carry a hatchet in my car I'd have an Ax and a 238! :laughhard:
I am not a cop, although I did a stint as Campus 5-0 many years ago, did some Bodyguard work and am working on my Bail Bondsman License. Bondsman, not Bounty Hunter!
My preferred carry piece is S&W .38 Chief's Special, although I have a sweet Colt Cobra .38 Det. Spec. and AMT .380 Kurz (Backup). I am fight my sin of envy over the new S & W .380 Bodyguard, a scaled down version of the M&P 9mm.
Love the S&W and the Colt. My off duty carry piece is usually a Taurus CIA650 .357- fitting since my wife thinks I'm full of bull (Taurus) anyway. I'll be checking out the Apostolic handgun, I haven't heard much about it. While I'm not a huge Glock fan, they're definately functional, fairly accurate, and almost idiot proof. Being a firearms instructor, I'm amazed at some of the new recruits I deal with and their gun knowledge. I'm not a gun expert, but please! Good luck with the Bondsman gig- one of the toughest I've ever worked with was a 4'11" redhead female German immigrant- tougher than a $2 steak.
:couch:
Sounds like too many guns around here
Better hide lol
/me peeks out of hiding and says nervously
Hi I am Tricia, From NC
/me goes back behind the couch
/me waves at Bob!
I love it!
I'm Mel. I love Rubber Duckies. I'm from Mississippi. Hehe.
I am Seth, and I am King of all these people....*cough*
The majority of us are actually quite harmless. When we shoot, we aim for lower extremities....
:P
Seth is the King who hates the people.
I'm from TX. :)

Ohh wow... this could get confusing... PolicemanBob needs a nickname...
I like the new 50ACP 1911 that just came out earlier this yr (I think that is when it came out...)... and the Judge...
I wasn't waving at you, Bob, I was waving at BOB!!
Sheesh!

Seth is the Chicken King!
The Glock: the newer Glocks have adjustable grips to make much more comfortable in the hands. Personally, I don't like the way it feels in my hand. But with three internal safetys and test drops from 40 feet it is a safe gun. The Glock has been suggested as the perfect gun for the novice shooter.
HOWEVER: The Springfield XD series is perhaps the safest with the unique trigger system and pressure plate in the grip! The Springfield is the official Gun of Front Sight in Nevada.
My son has the S&W Sigma (it is a glock clone) and a Rossi .357 and both of us are considering the Taurus District Attorney .45/.410 (a smaller version of the Judge).

You Bob, are Bob...and BOB over there is BOB.
Got it now?
So I am Bob and he is BOB?? :biglaugh:
Correct.
Quote from: MelodyB on October 07, 2010, 06:46:05 PM
Correct.
Well... could he not be bob, and I be BOB??? And I think I read he he has kids... so we could invert his bob, and call him "pop"... :P
*just a thought... lol*
You're still talking about the WRONG BOB. :smirk2:
BOL!
/me ^5's Mel! woohoo! she understands me! :hyper:
If I dont understand you by NOW, Im afraid it would be hopeless!
We could always take care of the matter like I have on my job- I am "good Bob" and the other guy (that would be you YYD) is "bad Bob".:) I like- it makes me appear to be the likeable guy.

LOL!
I didn't know they did that for real... I thought the "good cop" / "bad cop" was a hollywood creation! LOL!
I have never ridden in a Police Car before... or been arrested. I sat in a Police car once, but that was because my truck died, and was waiting for a tow truck in 15 degree weather...
I've been in a state troopers car but that was only because the trooper was my uncle and he was showing me all the gadgets inside.
Actually, we just joke between us about being good/bad. I can say that in real life it can be somewhat effective, we just usually won't be as over the top as Hollywood, lol.
So how are you liking GP now?

Love it! I feel at home, as you can probably tell from my postings.
Welcome aboard the SS. Nuthouse.. :great:
Reminds me of Ed, Edd and Eddy
Bob, Bobb and Bobby?
''He's a Bob, but he's not Bobb...which Bob is he not...neither one he's Bobby''
Maybe not
Could be Rob...not sure if that meshes well with being a cop and all. :smirk2:
Hi BOB (from what I've deduced your the BOB, not Bob) haha
I'm from Texas where guns are like decoration around the house. haha not really, but both my brother and my dad have CHL's...so my house is full of guns...probably about 20 between the 2 of them lol...
I'm MsJennJenn - or Jenn, or JJ, or Jelly (as Chel calls me)
(I used to be a pillar of GP back in the day, when I was but a teen haha, now I am old (not really only 25) and revisiting and coming around more!)

Haha... she does have a habit of calling people other than their normal names... doesnt she? LOL!
Lol indeed - well I call her Chellay - so she started calling me Jelly after that. I'm not sure why, or where she got it, but I do not mind haha

LOL! I called her Jill, and in return she called me Bob! And then she started introducing me as Bob to everyone... makes me wonder if she forgot my real name! LOL
*Hugs Jill!*
I dont think she has a nickname for me. Other than the usual.

Kyle used to call her Jill waaaaaaaay back in the day, back in the chat. I think that was right around the same time she started calling me Jelly haha
What's the usual Mel? lol
She calls me Mel. Like everyone else. LOL
I'm, IBOB :) You've seen the discussion on that.
I don't recall his name, but nearly 20 years ago, I met a brother from one of our Oklahoma UPC churches that was a member of the capital police (all state troopers, I think,) but worked in a building in Tulsa.
As to Seth beng King, that's a rather fowl statement.perhaps he should be tarred (the way he spells being tired,) and feathered (if his minions can spare the feathers!)

Yeah "IBOB", I'm going to be conversing with the other Bob over that little matter. :biglaugh:
Arkansas is a bit different- Our Capital police is a seperate agency from the state police, with statewide arrest powers. All the benefits of being a trooper with none of the downsides. It's the perfect law enforcement job for someone in church, as working the street makes it difficult to keep a walk with God, to put it mildly.
And I think I've figured out the "Chicken King". If his minions can't spare the feathers, I'll find some- I live in Arkansas where Tyson is incorporated, so it shouldn't be too hard. :thumbsup2:
*ahem* Since I somehow missed this welcome thread for BOB, I thought I should add a welcome post now that I found it...
Hi, BOB! :hi:
My name is Ruby. But then, you already know that.
And I like tea. But then, you know that, too.
Hmm... ummm....
I like koalas. And I want to visit Italy. And I have an uncle that used to be a sheriff. And my grandpa restored old planes.
Oh, for pity sake!... what's the point of these welcome threads anyhow, unless to make us sound insane?
I'll try this again...
Hi, BOB! I'm Ruby. I'm an insane GPer. And now you are too! Welcome to the insanity! :hypocrite:
:beret:
BOL!
Haha.... yes... what Ruby said... she is certifiably insane!! LOL :laughhard:
