Tony Chachere's brand of creole seasoning. Tony's for short, it's GREAT!

lol  When I was working at JCM, there was a container of it on every table in the cafeteria.  They say that Tony's can make ANYTHING better, even cafeteria food.

:laughhard:

It may be able to make it "better," but not sure that anything could have made it truly "good"!  lol

We planted cilantro and parsley this spring.  The parsley isn't doing so hot, but the cilantro is thriving!  I never did much with cilantro regularly, but now, being able to just go snip it... is awesome, I am loving the aroma of it.  Actually, it's a natural breath freshner too.  So I have been eating cilantro with a number of things besides obvious mexican dishes.  Today we had some grilled cheese and I used cilantro on mine like a bit of lettuce... yum.

it's cool too how my kids tend to like things we try and grow more than just "trying new foods."

Hungry.  Don't feel like cooking, so lunch will either be a Marie Callender's turkey dinner, or something simple to prepare.

Wish I had a frozen pizza.  That sounds appealing right now.

My kids are the same way.  And they like meat that Clint has killed...lol  They have no problem trying a new dish if i tell them its deer but will turn up their noses at "normal meats"   Its crazy.  But Im glad they are like that!  I hate that we don't have a garden this year.   :smirk2:

Nope.  No brownies.

27 minutes until lunch today...  no IDEA what I'll be having.  Aggravated about not being able to eat tomatoes and potatoes.  Makes me want to have a huge order of french fries with lots and lots of KETCHUP.
:reaction:

So instead I'd love to have a thick deli sandwich...  with tomatoes.  :o  Argh  :tearhair:

Or a salad with sweet grape tomatoes smothered in (tomato based) honey french dressing.  :sadbounce:

Or a Subway tuna sub...  with tomatoes.  :tearhair:

Or a slice of pizza.  :cry2:

:reaction:

Did NOT realize how much I loved my tomatoes before I tried to cut them out of my diet.

Ditto RJ. I had to do this quite a few years ago when I found out that all of a sudden I had developed an allergy to Citris fruit, tomatoes, pineapple....pretty much anything along those lines. I used to LOVE eating a fresh tomato with a little salt. *sigh*

Chiropractor suggested it because of the inflammation in my body (inflamed sacroiliac joint).

http://chronicfatigue.about.com/b/2010/04/25/nightshade-vegetables-fibromyalgiachronic-fatigue-syndrome.htm

QuoteThe bottom line is that some people have a problem with nightshades while others don't, just like some people have a problem with sugar, caffeine, alcohol or gluten that others don't. The only way to know for sure how foods impact your symptoms is to experiment and pay close attention.

Basically, I'm experimenting with it to see if it may help.  Didn't realize how totally ADDICTED I was to tomatoes, though!!!
