Wow, it's been a LONG day.
We had to get the center cleaned up and looking presentable since we have the accredidation people coming tomorrow. If we don't pass, we don't have jobs. They'll close the center down. Not sure how long that'll take though, if it happens.

I have a child who will NOT sleep where he is supposed to! He cries all night when we turn the lights out..
Just fyi, it's a kitten. It had 2 siblings, but when we came home from church Sunday morning, they were gone. Now there's just the one... and... I haven't a CLUE what happened to the others. They were tremendously spoiled before that. I love those little stinkers.. *sniffle* They got excited when they heard my voice. So he's terrified of the dark and being alone, we think. So we built him this little "house" with a blanket he knows as his (haha) and a little box to stop the wind and all.. but he won't get IN it! So we gave him a little kitten treat and held him for a while in the house.. and then took him outside to let him sniff out his 'bedroom.' He wanted to cuddle and bite, so I let him cuddle for a while.. *sigh* I'm worried. I heard him crying when we turned the light off for the night. It just breaks my heart to know he's alone and pitiful. We do NOT have pets indoors, just so you guys know that's not an option, haha. I prayed for him (and I prayed when he could hear me) that God would keep his hands on the little tot. He's just so cute and snuggly!
Anyway.. Today was stressful at work. We had a 12 pm deadline with so many new things to have to tack onto our usual workload. We didn't get our materials until 9am, so... three hours what it normally took us (for that last week with software issues and new updated methods) ALL day to do. The two other ladies had to stay late late late to catch up on their work from last week so they wouldn't have it to do today. Craziness. I'm definitely looking into a different job, haha. It's frustrating that there are no allowances for that type of thing. Shows lack of consideration for the one doing the job. Other things frustrate me there, but I won't go into them at the moment. :)
Church yesterday was great! We had a children's revival this weekend with Bro. & Sis. Story. I love love children's revivals. It just brings tears to my eyes to see these children respond to God's word, go into the altar, pray for themselves, and then turn around and pray with another child. Ah.. Absolutely put a smile on God's face. No doubt. Then last night was not children-focused. I was tremendously blessed with an awesome move of God.. and.. I'm so very very thankful. I need Him more and more.. :)
Housesitting again starting tomorrow night. Be in prayer for my pastor & family. There was a death in my pastor's wife's family.. and they are traveling down to Louisiana.
Since Seth asked the other day, I'll update the rest of you. Kyle was in a coma for a little while. His brain pressure readings were between 0-5.. and he woke up a few days ago. They asked him to blink 3 times if he wanted his mom to not fuss so much over him.. and he blinked 3 times. We're thankful that God has seen grace for Kyle's life so far. With his extensive injuries, he is still in need of of his family in God to petition the throne in his place. And if he could speak to you, I know he would thank you so very much for all of your prayers. Thanks, guys. :)
Ready to VOTE tomorrow. :D
btw.. EricShane... As Becca said, Keri Hall is married now AND pregnant. I'm so excited. *G* That baby's going to be a gorgeous little stinker. :) I'm pretty sure she said it was a boy.. so the stinker part is a definite. :)
Think I'm going to bed now..
:hi:
:hi: Howdy.
Nice sig lines, peeps. :freaky2:
Went and voted this morning.
NH
Were the lines long, Seth? I'm glad I voted early.
Nope. No waiting. Our precinct is rural and very tiny, population wise. We vote at a campground in the woods. lol
We just had a half hour fire drill for some reason.... :freaky:
Is it cold there? I used to hate fire drills at the school when it was cold.
It's chilly in the shade, but not too bad. Going to be warm today...
Found out it was actually a bomb threat. :freaky:
Then, just now, they called a code white at the welcome desk, which is when someone is going berserk and you're supposed to go stand in the area.... I guess the guy was already outside by the time we got around the corner to the front.
Craziness here!
good morning all! :waving:

Well DUH!! Its the MHF!
Im up. And I have officially started the waiting game on this guy.
I called my Dad, and he said "Go do what you have to do, dont wait on him, if you need to go somewhere, then GO!"
Yeah, Dad, sure...they will turn the water back on and allow me to pay the rent when I DONT have the money that guy is supposed to give me.
I literally can do NOTHING until I get that other $400.00 I could go put in apps, but I have not had a decent shower since Saturday night. Baby wipes and bottled water only do so much. And I cant leave the house to go take a shower at my friends house...how did people in the olden days survive without a shower everyday? Im going crazy!
:-?
Okay, I think I've stirred up enough trouble on the board for one morning. :hypocrite:
Bye everyone! :hi: Off to work I go...

Did you wait all night? Oh my!
Ok so, I am laying on the couch, and the doorbell rings...I was like :hyper: thinking it was the guy with the money for the car. It wasnt...but it was a guy going door to door selling magazines for some group, and he was a fast talker...I think he asked me out. :o He asked me if I was married, and then he said that he likes long walks on the beach, he is a Sagittarius, and he loves candlelit dinners. :o
Anyway....he was from Oregon. I told him I had friends in _ _ _ _, and he was like "NO WAY!! Im from near there!! My uncle has a cabinet shop there..." and he was just all bubbly, and crazy, he said he was in a Christian band in Ptlnd and I asked him if he had ever heard of the Carrier Pigeons, he said no, but he will look them up when he gets back home. Then when I turned him down and told him I didnt have a job and I couldnt buy any magazines, he quickly left.
But it was intresting to say the least.
:o
You go girl...
But he left.
He was kinda cute.
*cough*
Be careful. Some of those guys are crooks. They may come back when you're not home.

Well...yeah, I didnt expect him after 9pm...but yeah, I didnt go anywhere after that, so yes, I am STILL waiting, so you could say that I have waited all night.
Im gonna lay back on the couch again. I hope the next time I get interrupted, its for a good cause.

I voted. I had to stand in a stupid line.. :( And our little polling place is in a tiny missionary baptist church that covers two voting districts. We had about 254 ppl who had voted tonight when WE actually cast our ballots.. but the poll didn't close for another hour or so after that. Anyway, yeah... we need new ppl running our polling place - no offense. haha. They're older ladies and they weren't quite letting people know what needed to be done. We got little extra papers this time to clear up our district affiliation. haha... ANYWAY! This girl in front of me was reading the issues on the door with us, and I promise you - she changed her mind THREE or FOUR times before we got TO the machines to vote. Then she leaned over and asked ME "Did we decide yes or no on this one?" I could've made her vote all kindsa ways past Sunday haha... goodness! Scary to me!!
We're only given the choice of an electronic machine. I like them, but I haaate having to wait for other people to finish or when they break down and we have to wait for a technician. haha..
Then I went home to a very hungry, crying kitten. While I was outside with it, a piece of branch fell and hit me in the eye. One of the little vessels burst and I'm going to the opth. tomorrow. Yay. :( Mom's paying for the visit though, haha. Yay. :) I'm just thankful I apparently closed my eye in time for it to ONLY burst a vessel... and hopefully NOT have done anything to my actual eyeball. Thank the Lord! :)
Ready for... peaceful sleep. :)
Oh goodness Nelle!
I am glad your ok.

Near-random Sharing;
I liked your story about the woman voting with you, Lady Nelle!
A little while ago at my regular convenience store, the clerk said she wished the "hot rod nurse" would come in and pay for her gas (she was out at the pump talking to someone.) She had bright blond hair, orange pants, a purple sweater, and was driving a gleaming dark red Mustang with black striping over the top.. maybe I should have asked if she was single! :)
Did election return coverage last evening... sigh.

Dreamed the strangest yet most entertaining dreams.... Was me and James and them....was like a movie....everything we did went wrong.... It's too complicated to describe, but highly entertaining. Even had like a scene that was kinda like closing credits. I woke up after that, but then went back to sleep and dreamed more about it and such.... Very weird, yet highly entertaining.
maybe you ought to make a movie out of your dreams lol
Oh...and everything smells like Ramen noodles.....cause I ate some at James's last night....first time I can ever recall having had any.

We all ate some last night... I had NEVER seen Josiah so excited about a food item.... He seriously could have been a commercial for Ramen noodles. He just kept on recommending them to me, and telling me how good they were, etc. etc. etc.

I'm home for the afternoon. The dr gave me antibiotic because of the infection in my gums and sinus passages. I've got the surgery scheduled for early december. Hopefully I'll feel human again by Christmas time.
Im back. I drove 200 miles and I am back now....and guess what I am doing?
Waiting on the guy. Supposed to be here at 1.
It is 1:06
And here I go again.
I haven't had one a lot longer. Job that is... Grrrr
Stevebert adds things to the raman noodles. Left over beef or chicken any left over veggies. It looks more like real soup.
I used to take "Cup-O-Noodles" to work. I ate them every day and didn't get sick of them. The people at work would pick on me. One guy said he knew it was just one long noodle. That I find the end and spend my whole lunch hour sucking in that one noodle. *SIGH*
I had a dream where the alarm on my watch kept ringing. Nothing I could do would stop it. I even took the battery out and it kept on ringing. I got mad and stuck it under a pillow so I didn't have to listen to it. Then I woke up. My alarm had been ringing for ten minutes.
Chel and my aunt came and picked me up and we ate fried catfish for lunch.

Mel, this guy is so inconsiderate. I can't believe making someone wait THREE days. He's not thinking about you having to stay put and wait for him. I love people like that. *Sarcasm* :pound: :pound: :pound: The car guy!
/me helps :pound: the car guy.
1:30....Im calling my Daddy as instructed. He told me of he didnt come by now to call him.
Well. I called Daddy. He said that we waited on him for too long, and that I need to go put the for sale sign back on the car, and this time sell it for $900.00, take the car to the church when I go tonight, and have someone bring me home after church. Then if the guy shows or calls, tell him he is too late and give him his $200 back.
If he comes between now and church, Ill sell it to him, but Dad said he wasnt calling him again and begging him to get this car. Not when we can sell it for more to someone else.
Kelly Blue Book says that this car is worth $1,500.00 Thats WITHOUT A/C and in FAIR body condition. The body condition is fair on my car, but the A/C is ice cold, and the tires are newish. So yeah, I can get $900 for it.
BLAH.
Soooooo No water still, and rent is 2 days late now.
God is still good.
I am kinda getting mad that I changed my plans for this guy, and didnt get to see my family, and he still didnt show.
I could pitch a fit, but it wouldnt do a bit of good, and it certianly wouldnt sell my car. *sigh*
I don't even think you are obligated to give him back the down payment. He refused to pay the rest in a timely manner. Next time, tell the person that they need to pick it up on such and such a day or they would forefit the deposit, so it would be out there. They don't show, they give up their money.
Yeah, but Dad says we have to give back the money or we are not being "Christian-like" I dont agree...its a business deal, it has nothing to do with being a Christian. I dont wanna be mean about it, I can still be Christian, business deals are cut and dry, supposed to be, I dont see what being a Christian has to do with anything...I just want to sell the car and pay my rent and water.
:smirk2:
Sure thing, Mel. Being a Christian is only about being like Jesus in ANYTHING but business transactions. *nod* We don't have to think about forgiveness unless someone deserves it.

**HUGS** Mel
Thats not what I meant.
I mean, that he thinks that because we are Christians, we have to give the man back his money, eventhough that everyone knows that if you put down a deposit for something, and you back out of the deal, you lose your deposit.
Why should that be any different cause we are Christians? Its like saying he can run over us, and make me wait for three days cause I am a Christian?
No, I dont think so, this isnt about that, its about selling a car.
Dad is just scared that the guy will slash the tires on the van or break my windows or something if I dot give him back his money.
If you had told him that and had any sort of understanding upon receiving the money, I could see it. But there was no agreement, unofrtunately. Hopefully you'll be able to get enough out of it to make it worth the extra struggle, though.
**HUGS** Mel

Last night I went to sleep on the living room couch.
Sometime later I woke up on my bed. And I have no memory at all of getting up and going there.
Chase got in the car when I picked him up from school and said that his teacher may be getting ahold of me.
I asked why
He said we are learning possessive forms and I had to write a sentence...
She called on me to read it and I read it. I um.....hesitated to ask what the sentence was but did.
He said....."THe bear's b*tt is furry"
:o :o :o
He said his teacher put her paper over her face and walked to her desk.
This woman is our NEIGHBOR! Oh I have no idea how she regained the composure of her class. Chase said everyone laughed and he stood there and said "What?!?!?!"

Nope...he hasnt called.
I deposited that $200.00 in my savings account, and I dreamed last night that my Dad called him and he didnt remember about the money and I got to keep it.
I put the car back up for sale last night after church in an empty parking lot where people park cars that they want to sell, so maybe it will sell soon.
As for the guy and his money, if he calls before Dec. 1, Ill give him his money back, but if he doesnt, Ill keep it. Thats 32 days from the day he gave it to me, PLENTY of time for him to claim it.
:D
Took a nap. I woke up here in my office where I started out. *cough* lol

Reminds me of the time my brother got into an accident. I let him park his car in my yard, thinking he'd deal with it. He said he sold it to a friend of his who would remove it. Several people came to the house wanting to buy things off the car. In retrospect, I should have sold the seats and the other parts they wanted to buy because the friend never came to get the car and I had to pay to have it removed.
BROTHERS! Sometimes they just don't care about things or money.
Oh 5 o'clock, where art thou?
This has been a long day. And now with the time change, it gets dark SOOO early that you can't do much outside after work. blah.
Why? You skeered of the dark?
Nope, just like to see things. Last night my hubby and I both felt like it was after 9, but it was really about 7:30. :smirk:
Remember the guy that poohed in the NH yard?
He's been taking the flag down out front here.... And now, he's taken it completely. lol
I said the next thing we know he may be down on the courthouse lawn burning it, knowing him....
He also took some trashcan lids apparently.
Who knows what his diabolical plan is.
This morning when I came in he was down at medical services talking to the receptionist and calling her an angel... And he was wearing a straw cowboy hat and had a guitar....
The other day during the bomb threat he had his big stick he carries around, and he had a Guitar Hero guitar then...LOL....
Oh, and on the bomb threat topic, the operator girl told me today that it was some guy that called in with a fake accent kinda like Abu or whoever it is off the Simpsons, and said something to the effects of "I put bomb on you roof. It go boom."
Things seem very interesting at the MHF.

I SOLD THE CAR!!!
So ok...here is the story...I left here to go put in an application at the workforce center. Its a place that helps you find many jobs, and you just put in one app and keep checking the website and they take care of everything for you...well on the way, I was listening to the radio and it was just more political junk, and I didnt like the guy preaching on the other station, so I decided to cut the radio off and talk to Jesus.
I was straightforward with Him, I told Him that I needed Him to sell my car, and I needed a job. I needed Him to provide, and I needed it quickly. So I got to the place, talked to some people, got the things filled out and started to leave...I checked my phone when I got in the van, and I had missed a call...it was a lady at the Elementry school and I called her back and I now have a JOB INTERVIEW at 9:15am!!! Its at the same school that my Emily goes to!! I would be working in the lunchroom 3 hours a day, for 5 days a week...thats not much, but its better than nothing, and it gets my foot in the door and employed with the Bay County School Board!! I can go anywhere from there!! :bigcheese:
Ok so...I called my Mother to tell her the good news, and she said that some girl had been calling my Dads phone about the car, she wanted it, and wanted to test drive it. So while I was on the phone with my Mom, the girl called again...so Mom gave her my number and I met her where the car was and we test drove it with her Dad.
While he was driving, he asked me what the least amount was that I would take...I told him that I really needed the $900.00, he asked me would I take $700.00 cash...I said "Well, I really need the 9, but I would take 8 cash." He said "DEAL!" and I went and got the title and signed it over to him for $800.00 CASH. :bigcheese:
Then I went straight to the water place, and paid my bill, it was 3:45pm, and I had to have it there by 4:00 for them to turn it on today...then I went and paid the rent, and the phone bill.
So as I sit here right now...the car is gone, the rent is paid, the WATER IS BACK ON :hyper: , and my phone is paid for another month!!! AND I have an interview in the morning!!
GOD IS SO AWESOME!!

Congratulations Mel!

I didn't feel a HUGE change, but I do know that I wasn't totally exhausted when I got off work, and my body didn't shut down on me, requiring me to take a nap this afternoon. My "naps" usually turn into 2-3 hour events.
Glad you can laugh at my expense Sandra...

My manager did approve my request for time off for my wisdom teeth removal. Hopefully I'll feel halfway decent by time we hit the worst of the Christmas season.
I had all four of my wisdom teeth out at the same time. I felt lots better in a week.

I also got some cottage cheese and fruit cocktail at the store earlier.
Hee hee! Glad you listened to me. I had some for lunch. The triple cherry fruit coctail from Wally World was sooo yummy and inexpensive.
Hey, Seth! :waving:
