Yeah...whats funny is...he is 5 years YOUNGER than me. I am the last Grandchild, and he is the first Great Grandchild.
I took this the other night. I wish I would have gotten more sky in it. The table cloth is crooked, too. BLAH

I went for a walk today and here are a few pics I took.
This is the only tree that's fully changed.
I saw another couple of deer. They ran away several times. I kept walking and they kept running. Got the tail of the smaller one. Look near the lower right. That white spot is the tail.
That yellow flower is really cool looking. What made the holes, a bug?
Donno. Just liked the shape of them.
:lurk:
Nice pics, Sis. I really like the flower pic too. I haven't found any decent pics to take of the fall trees yet.
I like that yellow tree, also. It's purdy.
The yellow tree is beautiful!!!!
I need to take a few pics today. We have a beautiful tree down the street that has completely changed and is bright, bright orange!!!!
In Minnesota most of the trees are yellow. At least in the North. The trees are birch and ash. Those leaves just turn yellow. We don't have a lot of maple where the leaves turn red. Some but not much.
On the ride from Duluth to Minneapolis, you see mostly yellow.
Down here there are sweetgum trees that turn anywhere from yellow to orange to red to purple on the same tree. They are pretty.
I had to look it up because I've never seen one. This is pretty.
That's bigger than it was when I copied it. PHEW!
I've been on the go alot lately and these are some pics from where we've been. Sorry there's so many. It's hard to choose which ones to use!!!! ;)

For the holidays I had large snowflakes on my balcony door.
I changed them to valentine hearts and stuff yesterday. They made shadows on the wall.

Ok, ok. I just saw some pics from a girl who was part of the youth group back home. She and her sisters quit church. Anyway, she gave me the flickr addy to her pics. Many of them are just friend shots but she has some awsome ones in her folio.
If anyone is interested, they're here....... http://www.flickr.com/photos/neplusultra
I'm blaming this on SIS...:bigcheese:
I was out driving the taxiways this morning when I saw a photo (or 10) just waiting to be taken. I hurried back to the terminal, grabbed my camera, and here's the result.

We have been having a problem with deer lately, so this morning when I pulled up I was looking for deer. Sure enough when I got out of the car, I spotted several "somethings" on the south end of the runway. I gathered my stuff and went down there and this is what I found.
13 or 14 turkeys! I spotted them yesterday for the first time this season about 1/4 of a mile west of where this picture was taken. This morning, I maxed out on the zoom on my camera, so I apologize about not being able to see them well. I started to drive closer to them, and they took off running south.
Wow!
:o
So are we all invited to the airport around the middle of November with nets? :laughhard:

The camera has a timer, but I use a setting that takes a programed number of shots, then I pick the best shot and that's the one you see.
How in the world did you try to poison yourself? That is definately not good :tantrum:
A bout of food poisoning, I belive. Not fun. Stomach is still funny and I am only eating a little bit of bland things.

I was thinking that a biplane had two wings and was like Huh? But then I looked closer and decided the red one has and more wings they're just hard to see.
Those are cool pics!
:hyper: I wanna ride in a biplane! I wanna ride in a biplane! :hyper:
I rode in a Cessna a few years back. In Door County. We were going someplace near Green Bay, and we saw a sign for plane rides, and decided at the spur of the moment to go for a ride. Man, is it different than big bodied planes. It was more fun!
Except for the part where I smacked my head getting into the thing. Right after he told me to watch my head, SMACK!

Yeah, this was very cool. I was into the MS Flight Simulator game at the time and I was trying to watch the pilot, the instruments, and the scenery all at the same time...
I could have taken off and flown this plane! Just like on the computer! But my simulator landings were usually wrecks...
I can't find the cartoon I used to keep on the office desk. BLAH!

Here are a few I fiddled around with this weeked.
I know this is a farmall, but this photo in its original size is amazing. The paint was perfect, and as a result you could see perfect reflections....

Here is a shot I took, I loved the way the clouds were reflecting in the puddles, ect.

And....introducing my very first EVER lighting shot...
Lightning shots are hard to get, too! I sat out on the balcony, one night, and took over 200 pictures and all I got was that one lightning shot I've posted before. I also got one of the clouds getting bright because of lightning behind them. But I really want to get a picture of a bolt or fork lightning. It usually happens over the airport. They must have lightning rods or something.
I found this while looking at other's photos in Photobucket. It's awsome!

Playing around with the new camera, trying it at different light levels, and zoom settings. Not all of them turned out how I wanted.

LOL... aw... poor Sis...
In a somewhat related story...
As a kid, and even now, I have always been fascinated with flying.
My gramps fed this through many trips to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, and with his old copies of Air Force Magazine.
For my 15th birthday, my mom and step-father gave me a introductory flight lesson. I was thrilled... it was awesome. I actually was allowed to help control the plane.
All was going well till we got up to around 1500 ft, and then my door flew open...! I freaked, and could not bring myself to reach out the plane to grab the door and close it. The instructor thought it was hilarious, and reached over top of me to grab the door, and shut it.
I still remember that feeling, but still plan to eventually get my private pilots license... eventually. :biglaugh:
Then you can fly down to OK and land in Minnesota's airport! *Grin*
I need to post the pictures of the Cub if flew in...we flew with the doors open.
I took this last fall in Branson @ the Christian theater there. My friend got the same kind of picture of me, only I appeared to be sniffing the llama's bum.

Nice!
I LOOOOOOVE lightning pictures. That's an awsome one. Did you really take that?
I stood on the balcony one night for over two hours and I took over 200 pics and not one lightning pic. The delay in the camera made me miss all the good stuff.
A couple of years ago I got one but it was only one vein and it was on the side. Stevebert made this poster out of it. LOL

lol Sis you want to label yourself as a bigger older woman that has romantic relationships with much younger men? That's what a cougar is, but smaller.
Guess most of that is true, except Stevebert is older but ACTS younger, and I only hang out with one guy. :laughhard:
P.S. I said lioness, not female cougar. African lioness. ROWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Hey Chel!! Is that second pic the one you took here? Of the moss on that tree? If it isn't, can you post some of those you took that day?
Does anyone on here shoot medium format... ?
How about IR? Digital or firm?
Still process B&W film such as Ilford 50 or Kodak themselves in a real darkroom...?
Stevebert used to have a darkroom for B&W. Then he was able to use the one at work, back home. But he hasn't done much lately.
Here's a pic taken by a friend of mine from Minnesota!

Actually... they both are... I didn't like how the color one looked. Our water over here is all stained brown... so B&W always looks good... but then someone got to mentioning about adding some color... so I played with the Hue a little... and that is what I came up with! I love it... and I usually don't use photoshop very much. Most of my pics are unedited... but this one... I like...
Here are a couple planes that are here at the Airport today. Both are on their way to Reno Nevada to race.
