I Still love my job. I still have a ton of stuff to learn, but i love it! I like working nights... except for the fact that working nights has caused me to loose touch with a few of my favorite people... but ohh well. God is still good! :grin:
The power just got back on here bout 25 min ago... we had like 4 huge trunks of tree down in the backyard, and it blew our swing around and put one of the poles through the top of the swing... But i fixed it. except for the hole where the pole went through the fabric. :grin:

Jayden and the 10ish year old kids, with maybe 100 people present including 50 or so adults, wanted ONE adult to play volleyball with them before lunch..and it's the Grumpyest of the Grumpye.. why was that?

You know... sometimes kids are just like adults without all the grownupness to hide their feelings behind... :grin: John, they like you and wanted you to be there because you like them and wanted to be there, and they knew it. It's also why the Gal decided to sit beside you. Maybe she knew that by doing so, she would not be ignored. Maybe she really needed a compliment that day, and she knew that if she sat beside you she would get one... :grin: Maybe she knew you would make her smile.

I keep thinking about this question... The most relaxing thing i have done in the last month is that time i was at Mexico Beach with Mel, and she let me be silent, and we wrote stuff in the sand and watched it be washed away in the waves and the tide. Do you know how many times since then I have thought about that? There was like a whole 45 mins or so it seemed that we didnt say a word, just playing in the sand, and even after the sun went down, just sitting there. That was so awesome. I was really feeling Jesus then, it was like He was right there with us. And He was. :)
And I knew you needed it. I did too. Those words...well, they were powerful in their own right, and then when the water came up and swallowed them up...well, that was just too powerful for words. Thats why we didnt have to speak.

I dont think i have ever felt as bad physically at work as i did today. I felt so bad at one point that i had to run in the bathroom so my co-workers wouldnt see my cry. I had a little mini prayer meeting in there though, and i did feel better after that.

Question to ask a nurse...
Can frying stuff in grease, (french fries, chicken strips, corn nuggetts...LOTS of other stuff) for 8 hours every day, make you have heartburn all night long even if you dont EAT the greasy food?
I know I SMELL like the grease when I get off work, but since I have moved positions at work, I have had continual heartburn. And I dont eat much of the stuff I am cooking. In fact, I eat LESS of it now than I did before, cause I am sick of looking at it cause I cook it all day. But the heartburn is especially bad at night, and I wake up, eat some Tums, go to sleep, wake up, eat Tums, go to sleep....at least twice or three times a night.
Any suggestions?

get an over the counter acid reducer like pepcid (famotidine). They are once a day and last a lot longer than the tums every 2 hrs. actually i think they are supposed to last 24 hrs, and they do for me.
How'd you learn how to not stress out so easy?
I am not sure that i dont stress out... its just that i stress out about different things than you do, and deal with that stress in a totally different way than you do as well. :grin:

It was a whole lot more of an adventure, the people were a whole different culture, and the workers were a totally different brand of crew.
There was a lot more downtime, for one reason or the other, and it was just very different. I could tell I was covered by God this trip. I really enjoyed the peace.

went monkey hunting
sat under a tree in a cemetery and thought
ate thai food for the first time
had a few other firsts i dont care to mention on here. but were non-the-less-very-interesting
laughed so hard it hurt so bad i had to sit on the floor and hold my sides
talked to someone in another country on the phone
learned a lot more about myself, and what it is i am looking for in a relationship
worked 9- 13 hr days in a 10 day stretch...
got a bouquet of roses
and so very much more that i did this summer that was so interesting!
