Title: Any parents with autistic children?
Post by: Happy101 on July 01, 2008, 05:58:08 AM
I have a 11 year old child with autism that I am having a hard time with him as he grows into his preteen years. Can anyone out there relate?

I can't relate with full Autism, no.  My son has Asperger's, but that's a pretty mild form of Autism.

I've worked with autistic children and teenagers over the three years that I've been in the school system, but I don't know if I'd be much help.  What questions do you have?

I have a 7 year old son with Autism. His is very severe. He is actually in a foster home. He has been in one adoptive home, but, they couldn't handle him. When he was younger he hurt his sister so he had to be put somewhere where he could be safe and so his sister would be safe.
