How do you like yours?
I don't eat them much, but I love baked with dripping butter over it.
I like them almost any way you can fix them that I've seen, except potato salad.
(http://www.skamu.com/icons/hearts/images/283.gif) German tater salad. But I don't like what people are doing to it these days. Don't like it with relish in it. BLAH!
Is that with bacon bits and stuff? I ate some that I liked that was like that. I can eat the potato salad that I make, but would rather have them with just butter and cheese or mashed or something.
I had the BEST sweet potatoes at Outback the other night... They were mashed sweet potatoes. They were awesome!
Outback has sweet potato French fries. Are they any good?
I havent tried theirs. I have had some at the Gyro place we have in town, but not Outbacks.
I like potatoes done about anyway they can be fixed. Sweet potatoes I like baked and then putting butter and all the fixins on them. I do not like sweet potatoes done with brown sugar - to me that just ruins them.
real Mashed potatoes (not the instant junk) and potatoe cakes are my favorites.
OOOHH Latkes! I LOOOOVVVVEEEEE Latkes! But I don't like them where people make them like pancakes and they're all mushy. I like the ones that are more like hash browns.

I don't like instant potatoes, either.
I'd have to say that my favorite potatoes are a toss up between roasted potatoes, or ~I dont' know a name for them~ potatoes that are cut in big chunks (or the little yellow ones whole) in a pan with a tad bit of water, a bunch of seasoning and butter, the main seasoning being rosemary, and when they are tender enough, a dallup of cream.
mmmmm... now I'm gonna have to make potatoes tonight.
wait, no, there's another one, my SIL makes potatoe skins and they rock my socks. :)
Baked sour cream and butter. I also like a baked potatoe with A-1 steak sauce or Heniz 57.

LOVE IT! ( I like it with Country Bob's steak sauce too...woooo weeeee!)
I love fried taters with onion. It can't get much better than that!
i'm from Idaho... need I say more?
I LOVE potatoes. I like hashbrowns and "new" potatoes with just butter the best.
I love seasoned new potatoes, stuffed baked potatoes, creamed potatoes, sweet potatoes, etc...
Also, garlic potatoes are excellent. Roast a clove of garlic with a bit of olive oil and accent. Mix the roasted garlic with some salted cream butter, black pepper, and rosemary. Get some new potatoes, slice or cube 'em. Coat the potatoes with the butter mixture. Finely crush seasoned croutons and sprinkle on top of it all. Bake until tender with a crispy topping...it's yummy!

There is a place a few miles from where we live that makes them similar to this, except they use hash browns. The hash browns are on the bottom, then they layer them with bacon, sausage, eggs, bell peppers, and a whole bunch of other stuff. I think that they have named it "The Mess". I can't remember if I have ever had it or not, but I have heard it was yummy!
potatoes...yummo.
really good is potato cut in wedges with a wee bit of olive oil drizzled on them ...then parmesian cheese and italian seasoning on that...then bake for a wee bit.... YUMMO. perfect side for hamburgers or something.

Here at the Railroad Festival every spring, they have these things called Tater Spiders. It looks like a blooming onion they have at Outback. But its a tater cut that way. I havent tried one, but I've seen a whole bunch of people walking around with one. Must Be GOOD! :P
There is a little cafe here in town....Buttered Bunns Cafe (Bunn is their last name :laughhard:) and they have what they call "Chat pile"
Its hashbrowns with onion, chicken fried steak and gravy and then 2 fried eggs on top. It comes with a side of biscuts and gravy.
Its pretty tasty but I can't eat much of it.

It's in a little town called Henryetta at a place called "Pig Out Palace". I think that Newsman has mentioned the restaurant once before, not positive though.
